Just as she anticipated, the moment that she landed down in the second to last Octarian Lair, Agent 3 was met with another Turf stage replica, this replica being a replica of Blackbelly Skatepark! Though whether this replica contained just Octolings or had an Octostriker was yet to be seen... So Three took it slow when it came to stepping out of the Spawn Point, only for Agent 1 to point out.
"Looks like you've got some Octolings to deal with, Three!" Agent 1 pointed out, Agent 2 adding on. "I'm certain you know how to deal with Octolings, right Agent 3?"
"You kidding? I'll take down these Octolings and have the Zapfish freed before you two know it!" Agent 3 cockily spoke, secretly breathing a sigh of relief. Thank cod, she didn't have to deal with an Octostriker.
Not yet anyway... There was still one last Kettle after this one that she had to deal with, but that was for future her to worry about. For now though, she was going to have fun going through this Blackbelly Skatepark replica. Though it wasn't a perfect replica of the Turf War stage she knew. There were extra walls all over the place, these walls being placed down so Agent 3 wouldn't be able to just bee-line for the Zapfish like she probably could've easily done back at the Kelp Dome replica by just taking the higher routes with the grates... Though since some of these walls were so short, Three could just easily jump up, grab onto the ledge and pull herself over so she wouldn't have to find a way around said walls. The Octarians didn't seem all that bright when it came to finding ways to try and block Agent 3 off from getting the Zapfish they held captive in the Turf War stage replicas, did they? Though what they were smart about was reinforcements, which was especially proven that after she reached the Final Checkpoint before the Zapfish, the way ahead was just COVERED in Octarian Ink!
"This doesn't scream trap at all..." Agent 2 sarcastically spoke... Yet this didn't stop Agent 3 from literally charging in, spraying the Octarian Ink with her Hero Shot and throwing the occasional Splat Bomb if she had enough ink to do so.
And as Agent 2 assumed, it was a trap! Moments after Agent 3 rushed into the last part of the Blackbelly Skatepark area, both normal and Elite Octolings began to rise from the Octarian Ink; surrounding Agent 3 with their weapons aimed at her and more than ready to fire.
"Now look what you've gotten yourself into, Agent 3..." Agent 2 sighed in annoyance, one of the Elite Octolings of the group letting out a laugh and... Surprisingly and perfectly speaking Inkling. Guess the Octarians went out of their way to learn the Inkling language as an insult just in case one of them got the bright idea to try and save the Zapfish- "Did you really think you'd just charge in and retrieve the Zapfish, Inkling~? Oh that's cute~ But this is where your story ends and we will be victorious against you foolish Inklings like we should've been one hundred years ago!"
"Yeah, about that... How about we agree to disagree, huh?" Three questioned before throwing a Splat Bomb near a couple of the Octolings that cornered her, forcing them to jump back to avoid being splat and giving Agent 3 the perfect chance to escape the corner she found herself in. This, in turn, caused one of the Elites to bark orders at her fellow Octolings. "Get her! Stop her right now! We can't let her get away with another Zapfish, not again!"
This caused the Octolings to immediately begin to follow orders, raising up their weapons and immediately firing upon Agent 3 the second they raised their weapons; even throwing out Splat Bombs to try and stop her from hiding behind the slopes and corners of Blackbelly Skatepark! However, there was one little issue with all of them trying to fire at once: Their Ink Tanks. Just like Agent 3, the Octolings also had to submerge into their ink to refill their Ink Tanks when they ran out of ink... And with all of the Octolings being stupid enough to fire at her at once, once they ran out of ink, it was pretty easy for Agent 3 to run in and splat one Octoling after another before going back into hiding as soon as the remaining Octolings refilled their Ink Tanks. All until there was only one Octoling remaining. The Elite Octoling who previously barked orders at her fellow, now splatted, Octolings. With her weapon raised, the Elite began to quickly look left, right, in front and behind herself. She was... Nervous. Nervous about where Agent 3 might pop up. Nervous about being splatted like the rest of her comrades even though she would eventually respawn at the nearest Spawn Point in Octo Valley. Nervous about what Agent 3 would do to her once she rose up... Due to all these thoughts racing through the Octolings mind, she was unable to take notice of Agent 3 swimming up behind her, and whispering just loud enough for the Elite to hear.
"Boo~" Agent 3 whispered, the Elite Octoling letting out a frightened yell that was followed up by Agent 3 immediately splatting her before she had a chance to do anything else. Which this was immediately met by Agent 1 cheering her on. "Woo! Good job Agent 3! You certainly showed those Octolings who's number one around here!"
"But I wouldn't go celebrating just yet, Agent 3. Get that Zapfish and get out of there before the Octarians decide to send reinforcements to take you out." Agent 2 spoke up.
Now that was something that Agent 3 didn't even need to be told twice, her quickly breaking out and grabbing hold of the Zapfish before hurrying out of the Blackbelly Skatepark replica. Though as soon as she exited this replica, that was when her Hero Gear began to react to the Power Eggs she's collected once again. But instead of it being her Hero Shot that was reacting to the power of the Power Eggs, it was her Ink Tank - the tank absorbing the Power Eggs that Three's collected thus far and increasing the amount of ink she could hold in her Ink Tank! Meaning she could shoot her Hero Shot for longer and throw out at least two Splat Bombs before she had to refill her Ink Tank! Now that will be useful... And something she'll get to test out in battle pretty quickly as she headed for the final Kettle within Area 3, this Kettle dropping her off at a replica of Bluefin Depot! Upon arrival, Agent 3 didn't even need to look up all that far to notice a certain UFO like the one she encountered back in Urchin Underpass. Another UFO that was sporting another Octostriker.
"Looks like you've got an Octostriker on your hands, Agent 3." Agent 2 pointed out. "Move quickly and quietly and try to stay submerged in your ink as much as possible. The last thing we need is for that thing to spot you before you can reach the Zapfish's location on the UFO it's on and splat you with an Inkstrike."
"Hey, don't worry about it Agent 2! I've fought one of these things before in a copy of Urchin Underpass, so this one should be as easy to take down!" Agent 3 reassured...
Only to be quickly proven wrong. Unlike the Urchin Underpass replica, the replica of Bluefin Depot had a lot more Octarian Ink spread around it and a lot more Octarians hiding within said ink compared to the last replica with an Octostriker! With Octotroopers and Twintacle Octotroopers hiding in the ink and Octobombers and Octocopters trying to stop her at every turn, getting to the Launchpad that would launch her up to the Octostriker's UFO was going to be much easier said than done. The only silver lining was the fact that, directly below most of the Octobombers and Octocopters she encountered were Gushers. Just one hit of her ink onto one of those Gushers and that would shoot a gusher of ink out from under the Octarian that was above it and splat it instantly - as well as breaking whatever else was within the height range of the Gusher- Though there was an occasional Gusher that Agent 3 did have to rely on in order to get further up and through the Bluefin Depot replica, since just like the Blackbelly Skatepark replica, it wasn't a... Full on replica. Some of the ramps and inkable walls were missing from the stage replica, no doubt meant to stop Agent 3 in her tracks so she wouldn't take out this Octostriker just like she had done the last one. Though with her ability to turn into squid form, climb up the Gusher while it was still spitting out ink and jump out of the top of them once she was taken all the way up, even the missing inkable walls and missing slopes weren't enough to stop her from continuing on her way until finally making it to the Launchpad that shot her up to the UFO where the Octostriker was residing. This time however, there was a bit more trouble in the form of there being eight Octocopters instead of the few that were helping out the last Octostriker she took out... However, there was a silver lining. There were Gushers under where each of the Octocopters were flying, them staying in place and attempting to shoot Agent 3 as they believed staying where they were would be a tactical advantage... A foolish mistake on the side of the Octocopters when considering that Three could just activate one Gusher after the other and take out the Octocopters that way!
Once again, something easier said than done, since just like last time, Three did have to multitask in taking out the Octocopters, shooting at the Octostriker and avoiding the Octostriker's Inkstrikes while also trying to avoid falling off the edge of the UFO and falling to the ground below! Sure, Agent 3 would be able to survive the fall if she managed to turn into squid form before landing onto the ground below, but that would also mean she would have to get to work climbing all the way back up to where the Octostriker was while avoiding even more of its Inkstrikes! But one after the other, each Octocopter fell to the Gusher it was above until only the Octostriker and Agent 3 remained. And since there were no more distractions in the form of any Octarians, it was easy for Agent 3 to finish the job, splatting the Octostriker and revealing the Zapfish being beneath the pool of Octarian Ink as soon as the pool drained after the Octostriker was defeated. With all the Zapfish in Area 3 saved, it was time to head into the Big Kettle and see what was waiting inside...
