Bella

I was so mad at him for yelling at me and then I stormed into the house and my anger quickly fizzled.

He was right.

He moved across the world for me, he bought me a house with a huge perfect kitchen and a back yard that backed up to a mental facility, and as I hurried to escape the perfect kitchen I ended up staring into the library.

This house was mine.

He'd bought it with me in mind even when I was being impossible.

I fell to my knees crying because I knew I didn't deserve the patience and love he'd shown me.

I had been difficult and angry when he had been nothing but kind and understanding, even when I knew he didn't fully understand.

He deserved so much better than I'd been to him.

Even after everything I'd done, somehow he still loved me and wanted to marry me.

He wanted us to be a family.

I decided from that moment on to be the woman he deserved.

I heard his rushing footsteps and cringed knowing he probably thought I was leaving him again.

Damn it, I was such a bitch.

He found me on the floor of the library crying and quickly scooped me up in his arms. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Did you fall?" He shot off the questions franticly, just cementing my decision.

"No, no, I'm fine, Edward. I'm so sorry," I sobbed into his neck.

He carried me over to the lone lounge chair in the room and sat down with me in his lap. He brushed my hair back and kissed my neck, cheek, and then my lips. "I love you, Bella. Please don't be upset."

"Do you really want to marry me?" I sobbed.

His eyes popped wide and I thought he must not really want to but I was proven wrong by the way he started nodding his head yes almost violently.

"I do," he gasped, "Do you want to marry me, Love?"

I answered him nodding my head yes, not trusting my voice just yet.

He hugged me tightly and it felt so good, so right, and I wondered what the hell I had been so afraid of before. "Yes, please, yes, I want to marry you," I finally got out.

He kissed me deeply until we heard Esme clear her throat and Elizabeth say her signature, "Ew!"

"I take it you two have worked things out then?" Esme said with a smile but it could not rival the one Edward wore.

"We're getting married, Mum, she said yes!" he said standing up and spinning us in a circle.

He kissed me again and this time we ignored the complaints from the peanut gallery.

It was my weekend visit to Oasis Mental Hospital and it had me nervous. I was wearing a huge diamond ring on my finger.

Edward insisted he wanted everyone to know I was taken, even the planes flying over head. I laughed; they probably would.

I held that hand behind my back and took Jamie's with my other hand. I wanted to break the news to him on the fourth floor while we were overlooking my house.

"How do you like staying here, Jamie?"

He shrugged and smiled at the puppy trailing behind us.

"Bolt is growing up fast isn't he?" I asked trying to point out the good things about being here.

"Yes, but he's a smart boy," he said picking up the puppy.

"It takes a smart boy to make a smart boy," I complimented and he smiled.

"Have you been to ride the horses yet?" I asked.

He excitedly explained about washing and brushing the horses and the importance of getting to know the horses before riding them.

He sounded like he was doing really well.

"Would you like me to point out my house?" I asked as we walk over to the windows.

"Can you see it from here?" he asked thrilled, wanting to see it.

"Yes, you can. You see that fence?" I pointed out the fence at the edge of the hospital and he nodded. "Okay, look a little further up and you'll see that house there," I pointed out.

"That's your house? You live right there?"

"Yes, I do. In fact, that fence is my back fence, Jamie, we're neighbors again," I said smiling.

He laughed excitedly and turned around announcing it to the room and anyone who would listen that I was his neighbor.

I told him if he ever missed me he could look at my house and know I was close by him. I promise to still visit on the weekends as well.

He asked about Elizabeth and I smiled when I said she was with her dad and brother. He looked at me worried and asked if Edward was nice to them.

"Of course he is, honey. He would never hurt them. Edward is a good man. Remember how he kept Elizabeth safe at the school? He doesn't ever want anything bad to happen to her." I was worried about bringing up the incident at the school but he didn't seem bothered by it. "He takes good care of me, you know that and when he found out how much I love you he made sure you were taken care of, too, and bought me a house so I could be close to you," I said pointing it out to him again. "You know he's a good man, he got us the private plane so you wouldn't be scared when we flew here, remember? Only nice people do things like that, Jamie. Edward is nice and he loves me very much."

Jamie nodded his head in agreement.

"He wants to marry me, Jamie. We have children together and he loves me very, very much."

"Did he buy you a ring?" he asked softly.

I showed him my ring and his eyes widened. "That's big, Bella, he must love you lots."

"He does, Jamie; he loves me a whole lot."

"Hey, Bella, can I come to the wedding? I promise I'll be good," he begged.

I hugged him. "I wouldn't want to get married without you there." I squeezed him tightly and kissed his cheek.

"You're still going to live there when you're married, right?" he asked pointing to the house.

"Yes, I'll still be your neighbor. I'll still be your Bella that comes and visits on weekends, alright?"

"That's great, Bella. I'm happy for you."

"Good, I wanted you to be happy for us. We have happy lives don't we, Jamie?"

"Yeah, we do."

I was relieved when he agreed with me.

Edward

I knew something was up when she came home looking worried.

I wondered if James did not take the news well and threatened her. I would kill the bastard myself if he ever laid a hand on my Bella.

I sat in the library waiting for her and she curled up in my lap and kissed my cheek.

"How did it go today?" I asked.

"Good."

The one word answer was starting to worry me. "Did you tell him we were getting married soon?"

"Yes."

"Come on, Bella, this not talking is what tore us apart in the first place," I said a little frustrated.

"He wants to come to the wedding."

"What?"

"I said that he could. He's one of my oldest friends and he's medicated now and I'm sure Dr. Katz will send a handler with him. Alice can even dress him. Please, Edward, I know it's a lot to ask of you but please, can you let him come to the wedding?"

That was what she was freaking out about? "He really is okay with it?"

"Yes, he knows you love me 'lots'. He's glad I'm happy and thrilled we're neighbors."

"Well, as close as three miles of open land can make you a neighbor."

"He can see the house from the fourth floor; he knows we're neighbors and that you're nice, so we have his blessing."

"Nice, huh? Just nice?" I teased. "How about I show you how nice I can be?"

She jumped off my lap squealing as I chased her through the house. I caught her in the bedroom doorway and dived with her in my arms onto the bed.

I tickled her, causing her to squirm. I loved hearing her perfect laugh. It was literally music to my ears.

I let her up and she lay gasping in my arms.

"So, he'll have a handler?"

"Yes, I talked to Dr. Katz about it already. She agreed a handler would be a good idea."

"Does she think it'll be safe for him to attend?" I asked a little worried, wondering why Dr. Katz thought he needed a handler.

"Oh, yes, but six year olds can often find weddings boring. No offense, dear, but I've seen how long your wedding vow drafts are," she teased.

"Hey, just for that I'm going to make it super short like 'Hey, you're a nice bird with a fine ass I enjoy tapping' or something equally as heartfelt."

"My father will still be there with his gun, Edward; you better make it a little more eloquent."

"Fine, you're always so difficult. You don't like long and romantic and you don't like short and sweet."

"Sweet?" she said giggling.

"Yes, sweet, I'm sweet and you know it but I know something sweeter," I teased as I kissed down her body.

She hummed in response. "And what is that, Mr. Cullen?"

I smiled up at her knowing that soon she would be Mrs. Cullen. "This," I said as I nipped over her jean covered center. "Mind sharing your candy with me, Ms Swan?"

"You can have all the candy you want, Mr. Cullen, but only because you're so nice."

For that comment I tickled her again before eating my candy.
