With the moon shining bright, Mavis carried the two humans to a castle in the distance.
Lucy noticed the castle, and she said, "Is it just me, or does that castle kinda look familiar?". Lincoln soon noticed the castle, but what made matters worse, was that Mavis said, "Here it is! Hotel Transylvania.".
"Wait a minute,", Lincoln asked, "Are you saying that Dracula's castle, is the hotel you're talking about?!". "Yep, this is the place.", Mavis said, and Lincoln said, "I don't know about this.", in an anxious way.
"We can trust her.", Lucy said, "This vampire is friendly, I mean, she not going to kill us or something.". "That's what I'm afraid of.", Lincoln said.
After entering through a window, Lincoln and Lucy looked around the room. "Wow.", Lincoln said, a little spooked out.
The two kids then decided to take a lot around the room. "This place looks very creepy.", Lincoln said, and Lucy said, "But it is in a good way.".
Lucy soon noticed something of what looks like a coffin on the ground. "Hey, is that a real coffin?!", Lucy said, "I slept in a coffin, too!". Lincoln was looking at old paintings on the wall, and one showed a picture of Dracula with another female vampire.
"Mavis,", Lincoln said, "Who's that woman with Dracula?". "Oh, that right there was Martha, my mother.", Mavis said, "And unfortunately, she was killed by humans.".
When Lincoln heard this, he somewhat turned serious. "What do you mean, 'killed by humans'?", he asked, while Lucy was still looking at the old coffin on the floor.
"Well you see,", Mavis said, "It's a very sad story. And I'm pretty sure you don't wanna hear about it, because it might be offensive for you. You know, since you and your sister are humans.". Mavis somehow took a closer look at Lucy, "You somewhat also resemble a vampire. Are you sure you're a human?".
"Yeah, I am a human.", Lucy said, still gazing at the coffin, before Lincoln dragged him towards Mavis to hear the story. "We both wanna hear this story.", Lincoln said, and Lucy agrees.
"Okay, it all started when I was a kid at the age of 46...", Mavis said, before being interrupted by Lincoln. "Wait wait wait. Did you say a kid at age 46?", he asked with confusion, and Lucy said, "You see, vampire years are different from human years.".
"Beside, she said she will turn 118 soon during this flight.", she continued, "Plus, if we we're vampire, we'd be 50.". "Wow!", Lincoln said with amazement, "Anyway, please continue.".
"Anyway, I didn't remember much,", Mavis said, "But when I was little, we tried to protect our home from the invasion of human kind.". As Mavis kept telling them the story, Lincoln and Lucy imagined what happened.
"You see,", Mavis said, "Back then, humans according to my father, hated monsters. And we are normally hunted down.". "That's terrible.", Lincoln said, with Lucy even noting that the story was a bit interesting.
"So, what happened to Martha, Mavis?", Lincoln asked. "Well, according to my dad, they bite our toes, and put garlic on bread, and wield big torches!", Mavis said with fear. "Well, I'm allergic to garlic so that doesn't bother me.", Lucy said, however Lincoln said, "We don't bite toes, that's disgusting!".
"But the point is,", Mavis said, "These evil humans staked my mom in the heart, and me and my dad fled.". "And that's what happened.", she said, which made the kids feel sorry for her. "Well, we won't do that to you.", Lincoln said, but then footsteps are heard.
"What's that noise?", Lincoln said, and Mavis said that would be her dad. "Quick, hide in the closet!", Mavis told Lucy and Lincoln, and Lincoln grabbed Lucy's dress collar and they went to the closet.
Outside, lots of the shrunken heads said, "Do not disturb.", as Dracula walked by. "Is she up yet?", asked Dracula, and one of the shrunken heads said, "Oh, she's up. She's ready to go, and when I mean go, I mean go".
"Relax! Just do your job.", Dracula said. He soon opened the door, "Good morning, Mavey-Wavey! Happy birthday, my little mouth!". Mavis, who was now deadpanned said, "Yeah, I know it's my birthday.".
"I have so much fun planned.", Dracula continued, "But first, we go catch some scorpions together, just the two of us.". Meanwhile in the closet, Lucy and Lincoln we're eavesdropping the situation. "I can't really hear what's going on, even though I can see through the crack.", Lincoln said.
"Got something that might help.", Lucy said, going through Lisa's belongings which we're also left behind. She has a lot of things but Lucy pulled out a stethoscope and a paper cup.
"Dad, let me speak.", Mavis continued, "There is something we have to talk about.". "If you want to go see the world, you can.", Dracula said. "Aha!", Mavis said, "I knew you we're going to say that. But, Dad, you gave me your word, you know that I know that a Dracula's world is sacred. That our trust is the core of...".
Suddenly, she stopped, "What?", she asked. Lincoln and Lucy are now listening to the conversation, with Lincoln using the cup, and Lucy using the stethoscope. "He's right there. If he finds us, we're doomed.", Lincoln said, and Lucy said, "Shhh, not so loud.".
"I said you can go.", Dracula said, and Mavis was so excited that she went into her bat form and she packed up her suitcase. "Woah, wait a minute!", Dracula said, "Where are you going?". "Where'd you think I'm going. I'm going to paradise.", Mavis said, "And this might the stuff I need.".
"Paradise?!", Dracula said with shock. "Yeah, you know. The place where you and Mom have met. Auntie Wanda says you two were like, Zing!". "What's a zing!", Lucy asked, and Lincoln said, "I don't know. Maybe it's a slang word.".
"I don't know from Zing!", Dracula said, "Where'd you get that card?!". "Oh, from one of the drawers.", Mavis said, "And besides, why would'nt you tell me the first time you've met.". "It's from Hawaii.", Dracula said, and Mavis said, "Ha-what-what?".
"Vampires go to Hawaii?", Lincoln asked, and Lucy said, placing their listening tools back in Lisa's backpack, "I don't think so.". "Look,", Dracula said, "I know you're excited, but everyone has gone to great lengths to see you on your birthday.".
"I know they do.", Mavis said, "But don't you think that I'm a bit too old for parties.", she continued, "I love them, and I really want to go out there, and meet someone my age.". She then did a little bat pout, and Dracula told her to stop until... "Okay, okay.", Dracula said.
"There's a human village just a little ways past the cemetery.", he continued, "You can just go in, and then back out, and besides it'll be 30 minutes.". "Well, it's not Ha-wee-wee, but I guess it's still technically out there.", Mavis said, going up to the window and hugged her dad.
"Thanks for trusting me.", Mavis said, and Dracula said, "You're welcome, I gave you my word.". As Dracula left to tell the others the good news, Mavis told Lucy and Lincoln to come out from the closet, saying the coast is clear.
"Thank goodness, it was getting too cramped in there.", Lincoln said, and Lucy said, "Your dad there's a village out there?". "Yep, and if you want, you can come with me.", said Mavis, and both of the Louds did agree.
While Lincoln and Lucy are waiting outside by a bush, Mavis told everyone about her first venture to a human village. However, most of her friends have criticized this idea.
"Don't worry,", Dracula said, "She'll be fine.". Everyone somewhat trusted Dracula, and they said things like, "Watch out for pitchforks! Bring warm clothes and a sword! And maybe stay under the shadows, it's more fun to observe from under a house.
Eventually, Mavis went outside, and told Lincoln and Lucy to get out of hiding. "Are you sure this is safe?", Lincoln asked Lucy, and Lusy responded, "Well, if what Drac said was true, it's true.".
When the trio did went to the human village, they saw one of the locals of the town. "Hey, that must be one of the locals.", Lincoln said, and as he got a little closer, the rabid human turned around and said, "Bite toes.".
"Bite toes!", both Lincoln and Mavis said, as the vampire said, "Hi, humans.", in fear. "Allow us to introduce ourselves,", Lincoln said, "I'm Lincoln Loud, and this is my sister Lucy. And this is Mavis Dracula.", however he was interrupted when the rabid human said, "Vampire!".
"We take your candy!", another human said, but Lincoln said, "Hey, me and Lucy are humans, and we don't steal someone's candy.". "He's right, I'm friendly.", Mavis said, but the rabid humans soon pulled out bread with garlic.
"Is that garlic bread!", Lucy said, as she and Mavis backed away. "Ooh, I'll take some!", Lincoln said, grabbing the bread and eating it, much to the horror of Mavis and Lucy. "What?", Lincoln asked, his mouth full of bread, until he turned around and noticed one of the humans with a pitchfork.
"Pitchfork!", Lincoln screamed, "Lets get out of here!". Soon Mavis, Lincoln, and Lucy fled the village, but what they don't know is that Dracula was watching them through his bedroom window. "It worked, now my baby will be safe forever.".
"You guys go back in the closet!", Mavis said, "I need to call my dad!". Soon, Dracula went into Mavis' bedroom and heard her story about the humans in the village.
"Calm down,", Dracula said, but Mavis said that she was getting goosebumps. "That's was horrifying.", Lincoln said, and Lucy said that it was kinda adventurous. "You think this is fun?", Lincoln said, "We almost got killed by evil humans!".
"Shh, Drac may hear ya!", Lucy said in her quiet mood. "At least I brought you a special treat.", Dracula said, "Wormcakes!". "Ew, who would like wormcakes?", Lincoln asked, and Lucy said, "Wow. This hotel has spooky gross food, maybe Lana would love it here.".
"Don't be sad anymore.", Dracula continued, as he told his daughter that today was the day they open up her mother's birthday present. "What did she get me!", Mavis said with excitement, and Dracula told her to wait and see.
"She said never to open until you've turned 118. We waited this long, eat your wormcakes, and come down when you're ready.", Dracula said as he left the room. "You can come out now!", Mavis said, feeling more relaxed, as she showed the two kids, the present.
"What'd you think is inside.", Lincoln asked, and Mavis said, "Wait and see!". "Okay, but I don't wanna go back into a closet, and get cramped,", Lucy said, "I wanna see what this hotel has to offer.". Lincoln thought of that too, and then he noticed a makeup set in one of Mavis' drawers. "I think I have an idea!", he soon announced.
While walking down the hall, Dracula noticed a guy standing in his way. "What'd you want, a cookie?", he asked, "Move already!". But when he turned around, Dracula soon had a problem that he has to deal with.
