"You want me to pose as a little girl for you," I responded in a candid tone.

With a nod, Mendez responded telling me, "Yes, to be quite frank with you, you are exactly what we need. This is a good thing for you too Mrs. Klammer."

I tilt my head at him with an expression of curiosity.

Acknowledging my look, Mendez further explains, "You would have been found regardless of our interest in you. As I said, your cover wasn't completely solid, the Federal Bureau of Investigations would have certainly found you. Not to mention your face has been plastered all over the media and internet for months. Even if your cover was perfect, someone would eventually recognize you and an investigation into 'Leena Volkov' would inevitably lead to your capture."

Mendez continued explaining my predicament, "Your cover is exposed, the FBI is well aware that we have you. Luckily, we have a bit more power than law enforcement. Now, understand that we can hand your right off to the FBI. The FBI would extradite you to the State of Connecticut where you would be tried for your crimes."

Agent Mendez pulls out a few documents from his briefcase and lays them carefully on the table.

"This is an Executive Grant of Clemency; a conditional pardon that is. You will be awarded a full pardon and be granted legal asylum by the United States Government provided certain conditions are met."

"What would I be doing for the CIA?" I inquired. I was flabbergasted by what I was hearing. I was naturally apprehensive but felt like this was my redemption ticket. I felt like this was my chance at doing some good.
