Here we are for the final chapter of the Fusion Arc. One more arc and this story is done. Thank you to all of the readers who have reviewed, favorited and followed this story from the very beginning it has been an incredible journey so far.
Now enough of me talking, let's jump right in.
Chapter 29: To Our Own Way
Professor's Chamber
Leo crashed into his throne from the shockwave of the attack. Horakthy, Hell Armageddon and Big Star disappeared while Yuya, Yuto, Yugo and Yuri lost their armor and swords, returning them to normal attire.
"It's over…" Yuya panted.
"We won…" Sawatari took a knee.
"Yeah…" Reiji wiped his sweat.
Yuto, Yugo and Yuri approached the defeated Leo. "What should we do with him?" Yuri asked.
"I say we make an example out of him. Show the world that nobody messes with us. I call breaking his nose." Yugo cracked his knuckles.
"He does have to pay for his crimes." Yuto agreed.
"Elder brothers…that's enough." Yuya said. "There's been enough fighting. Let's…" Yuya fell backwards.
"Yuya!" Jonouchi, Asuka, Rua and Rio rushed towards him and Asuka caught him in her arms.
"I'm okay…just…really tired…" Yuya yawned.
"Can't blame ya, after everything you've been through." Jonouchi said.
"Everyone!" Serena ran in with Yuzu, Ruri and Rin behind her. Ruri and Rin then froze as they saw Yuto and Yugo.
"Y-Yuto?" Ruri stuttered.
"Y-Yugo?" Rin pointed at him.
"Hey! Rin!" Yugo ran to her. "It's been a long—" Yugo was silenced when Rin kneed him right in the stomach.
"You stupid idiot!" Rin yelled at Yugo. "You made me so worried about you!"
"S-Sorry…" Yugo coughed out before collapsing on the ground.
"Good to see you again, Yugo." Rin knelt down and smiled at him.
"Thanks for taking care of my idiot brother." Yugo wheezed.
"Why are you talking about yourself?" Yuri said.
"I hate you." Yugo tried to be threatening but he was in pain.
"Are you gonna hit me too?" Yuto asked.
"Do you want me to hit you?" Ruri asked.
"Bring it on, I deserve it." Yuto opened his arms to accept his punishment.
Instead, Ruri gave him a hug and he hugged her back. "Welcome back, Yuto." Ruri thanked them.
"Thanks for looking after my little brother." Yuto whispered. "He really likes pancakes with extra syrup. Just a little help."
"Yuto…" Ruri blushed. "Thanks."
"Yuya! Are you okay?" Yuzu knelt down next to Yuya.
"I'm just tired…wait?" Yuya reached out and started touching Yuzu all over her face and squished her cheeks. "You are you, right?"
"I am…thanks to Serena…and you…" Yuzu leaned in and kissed Yuya on the cheek.
"Uh…not sure what I did, but I'm glad I helped you." Yuya blushed.
Reiji approached the defeated Leo Akaba. "I lost…the United World…my daughter…all of it for nothing…but why? My plan was foolproof. I came up with countermeasures and everything. I even created cards to defeat the Gods, so why?"
"Father…you are a smart man; you can easily achieve anything you can on your own. But that was your downfall." Reiji said.
"What?" Leo questioned.
"You were only thinking about yourself when you started the ARC Area Project and Revival Zero. You failed to put into any consideration the wellbeing of your allies and comrades." Reiji said. "A mistake that I would've made if Yuya hadn't shown me the right way to lead."
"Kill me…you know I deserve it…" Leo said.
"Death is mercy. You will answer to all who you did wrong." Reiji said.
Fusion Dimension – Harbor
At the Harbor, the multiple students and teachers who were fighting for Academia were all arrested and sent into the prison trucks. Some tried to fight back while others accepted their sentence.
Dennis was at the harbor with Manjoume, Edo, Jim, O'Brien, Johan, Misawa, Momoe, Junko and Sho, who was in a wheelchair when he saw the boats come in.
Asuka and Serena came off and Johan immediately hugged his daughter and spun her around making her laugh. Jim, O'Brien and Karen joined in on the hug.
Asuka was immediately smitten with Manjoume while Edo, Misawa, Momoe, Junko and Show welcomed her back.
Dennis smiled as his allies were back until he saw someone else and his eyes widened. He saw Yuri walking down the ship. "Hello, old friend." Yuri greeted Dennis.
"Yuri…" Dennis ran to his friend and embraced him and Yuri embraced him back. "Welcome back."
Xyz Dimension – Duel Lodge
After coming back from Academia, the rest of the Dimension Guardians went back to their own dimensions to check up on them.
Shun was still upset and nothing Kaito, Shark, or any of the other Barian Emperors knew how to cheer him up.
Suddenly, a flash of light emerged in the lodge and Rio appeared, which made the latter group rush to her and greet her back. Rio greeted them quickly and walked up to Shun and took his hand.
Rio led Shun to where she appeared and two more lights shined and the life in his eyes returned. Standing there was his sister, back in her normal body and his old friend from long ago.
"Brother…" Ruri smiled.
"Shun…" Yuto smiled.
Shun rushed and wrapped his arms around his sister and best friend. He started to cry and his grip on them increased.
"I'm home, Shun." Yuto hugged back and so did Ruri who sighed happily.
Synchro Dimension – Friendship Cup Arena
Rua, Rin and Yugo appeared in the Friendship Cup Arena, where the stands were full and people were cheering for them.
"Welcome back!" Aki waved as she stood with her parents.
"Rin!" Crow picked up Rin and spun her around.
"Rua!" Ruka jumped on her brother and the twins enjoyed each other's embrace.
"So, you're Yuya's brother?" Jack approached Yugo.
"Yes, his older brother." Yugo tried to act tough. "You got a problem with that?"
"Care to show your strength against a former King?" Jack smirked.
"Oh, it is on!" Yugo smiled.
Standard Dimension – Gongenzaka Dojo
Gongenzaka made it back to his dojo where his father was waiting for him. "Father, I have returned." Gongenzaka stood tall.
Mr. Gongenzaka approached his son. "Your Steadfastness as evolved. I am so proud of you, my son." Mr. Gongenzaka hugged his son, who hugged back.
Standard Dimension – City Hall
Sawatari entered the Mayor's Office, where his father was holding a picture of the Sawatari family. "Papa, it's over." Sawatari smiled.
"Yes!" Mr. Sawatari cheered. "I knew you could do it my boy! I knew you would save the world! Your mother would be so proud of you, so proud." Mr. Sawatari hugged his son.
Standard Dimension – Leo Corporation
"President, Leo Akaba has successfully been escorted to the Max Security Prison." Nakajima reported.
"Thank you, Nakajima. How is Mother doing?" Reiji asked.
"She is enjoying how everything has turned out and has decided to take a vacation." Nakajima reported.
"Call her back, Reira and I will take the vacation and she will take over duties." Reiji ordered as he took Reira's hand.
"Understood." Nakajima bowed.
Standard Dimension – Hiiragi Residence
"YUZU!" Shuzo quickly hugged Yuzu as he released a waterfall of tears. "I'm so glad your back and your safe!"
"D-Dad…you're squishing me…" Yuzu grunted.
"Big Sis Yuzu!" Futoshi, Ayu and Tatsuya gathered around and hugged her.
"Hey, guys. I missed you all." Yuzu hugged them.
"Hey, where's Big Bro Yuya?" Tatsuya asked.
"Yeah, where is he?" Ayu added.
"He went to Kame Game to see his mom. She sent him a message that she had something important to tell him." Yuzu said.
"Oh, it is important." Shuzo chuckled.
"I got the shivers when I found out." Futoshi danced.
"Wait, what happened?" Yuzu asked. Her only response was chuckling from the others. "Now I'm curious."
Standard Dimension – Kame Game
Yuya was walking towards Kame Game while he was talking to Atem on his Duel Disk. "I see, so you have to go back to Egypt." Yuya said.
"Yeah, with the war over, father wants me to start getting ready to succeed him on the throne." Atem said.
"You can handle it. You helped me save the world after all." Yuya smiled.
"Thanks, Yuya. I hope we meet again one day." Atem said.
"Yeah, me too. See you later, my friend." Yuya ended the call. He then opened the store.
"Boss!" Yuya called out but there was no one at the front. "Mom! I'm here! I got your message!"
Yuya then heard giggling coming from the back room. "Mom?" Yuya opened the door and he yelped.
Yoko was kissing another man that had spiky black and blonde hair with a goatee. Yuya's yelp made them separate. "Oh, honey, welcome home!" Yoko smiled.
"Uh, yeah…um…sorry…I…" Yuya was flabbergasted at seeing Yoko with another man. "Who…who is your…uh…friend?"
"Yuya, this is my fiancé and Sugoroku's son, Yuji Muto." Yoko introduced.
"I know this is a shock." Yuji spoke.
"You think?" Yuya squeaked.
"I heard a scream!" A boy with similar appearance to Atem appeared holding a broom.
"We're fine, Yugi. There's nothing here that needs to be swept." Yuji said.
"Who's that?" Yuya asked.
"That's Yuji's son, Yugi." Yoko answered.
"Wait, so he's gonna be my…" Yuya pointed to Yugi.
"Hug me, brother!" Yugi hugged Yuya, who's mind was going over a hundred miles an hour.
One Year Later
Xyz Dimension – Spade Branch
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Yuto cheered. "It's a masterpiece!" The students next to Yuto were getting scared of him.
"Yuto, why are you laughing like a maniacal buffoon?" Shun raised an eyebrow.
"Because I just finished the best bento in the world!" Yuto showed off his bento.
"Hey, that looks good, let me have—" Allen was gonna reach for some food but Yuto swung a knife, making him skid back towards Sayaka.
"This is my little brother's birthday lunch! I am not afraid to cut off any hands!" Yuto glared.
"Whoa, Yuto calm down, I'm sure Yuya is gonna like it." Ruri calmed him down.
"I know he'll like it. I just want everything to be perfect. It's the first time that we've actually…" Yuto got silent.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay." Ruri assured him. "We still have time, right?"
"Yeah, the party isn't until 1:00 and it's only 11:45." Shun answered.
"Wait, 11:45! Crap! I'm supposed to meet Yugo and Yuri to look for Yuya's gift!" Yuto quickly grabbed the bento and ran off.
"Yuto is really stressing himself out for Yuya." Sayaka noticed.
"He's just being a good big brother…you should learn from him." Ruri teased Shun.
"Are you saying I'm not a good brother?" Shun questioned.
"No, you're the greatest!" Ruri answered sarcastically.
Kaito and Ruri were walking together as Yuto dashed by them. "Hey, guys!" Yuto quickly said.
"Geez, I'm a big brother and you don't see me acting like that." Kaito shook his head.
"Oh, give him a break. Today is an important day." Rio smiled.
Synchro Dimension – Neo Domino City
A year has allowed Neo Domino City to be rebuilt, no longer being a place where there were cities on top and on the bottom. It was all just one city with bridges connecting all the districts together.
"Come on, it's got to be here! It has to be here!" Yugo looked around a pawn shop.
"Fusion, I swear to god that if the gift is not here, I'm going to feed you to my carnivorous plants that you'll regret calling my gift too feminine!" Yuri threatened as he held a bouquet of flowers.
"You guys are really serious about this gift, huh?" Serena noticed Yuri's aura.
"Of course, this item is very important to Yuya. When he told us about it, I knew for certain that we had to get it and it's here, but I can't find it!" Yugo panicked.
"It would help if you gave us a clearer example, or better yet, an actual picture." Rin showed a very bad drawing that Yugo made.
"Hey, did you find it?" Yuto entered the shop.
"No, because Fusion is a terrible artist." Yuri pointed at Yugo.
"I'm doing my best, back off!" Yugo whined.
"Wow, he's not even threatening you. It's that bad. Okay, it can't be that hard to find." Yuto looked through the shelves.
"Come on, come on…yes! Yes! Yes!" Yugo cheered as he pulled out the gift. "I found it, how much?" Yugo went to the clerk.
"That's a one-of-a-kind item but from the looks on your face I'll give a generous price. 5000 yen." The clerk said.
"Deal!" Yugo slammed his cash on the ground and held the gift in the air. "Now all that's left is the party!"
Standard Dimension – Kame Game
During the year, Yoko and Yuji eventually got married, making Yuya and Yugi officially step brothers. The two got along okay but Yugi was suffering from self-confidence issues so to cheer him up, Yuya told him about Atem.
"This Atem sounds like a very cool guy." Yugi said.
"Yeah, he is cool." Yuya said. "I hope you get to meet him soon. But he's busy being Pharoah so don't get your hopes up."
"Well, I got to go. I'll see you all tonight." Yuya left the shop.
"Give them my respect too." Yugi smiled and Yuya gave him a thumb up and he left.
"Okay, he's gone! Let's keep it up!" Yugi shouted and suddenly, decorations and food appeared with Yoko, Yuji, Sugoroku, Yuzu and Gongenzaka panting.
"Man, I thought he would never leave." Yuzu panted.
"Come on, we have a lot to do before the party begins!" Yoko said. "You all have your assignments, let's go, go, go!"
Fusion Dimension – Memorial Cemetery
Yuya made it to the Fusion Dimension where large memorials were placed in a faraway cemetery. Yuya walked up to the three stones that read the names of his father, mother and master.
"Hey, Mom, Dad, Master." Yuya set down a pail of water. "Today's my birthday…and everyone's panicking about it." Yuya picked up the ladle and started pouring the water on the stones.
"They think I don't know about the surprise, but it's pretty obvious why they were all jumpy." Yuya grabbed a rag and cleaned the stones.
"My other mom got married again, and I have a new step brother, Yugi. Shy, no confidence, but he'll go places, someday." Yuya set down flowers and food.
"A year…Yuzu, Gongenzaka, Sawatari and I just graduated middle school. Yuzu and Gongenzaka made it to the Youth League and Sawatari will be taking his Pro Test soon. As for me, well…a lot of people want to sponsor me, but I can't leave Nico out to dry."
"Speaking of leaving out to dry, I haven't really had time to speak with Uncle Jonouchi, Asuka, Rua or Rio after the war. We've all been too busy. Uncle Jonouchi is actually gonna get married soon, so I'll have an Aunt Akari and a cousin Yuma." Yuya smiled.
"Asuka helped changed Academia and is helping a lot of students learn true Dueling. I think she has a little fling with the guy I gave Hero Magician too. Judai, I think his name was. But I think there's more to it, but she always gets embarrassed."
"Rio is jumping back and forth between being a student and Queen of another world. She sometimes gets really stressed out but Kaito is there for her and the other emperors."
"Rua decided to go back to school with his sister so they could grow together. He's a celebrity there but he always spends his time with Ruka. Those two definitely deserved that time, with what happened before."
"Speaking of together…I uh…have girlfriends…yeah, girlfriends…four of them." Yuya blushed. "I really love them all, I know it's weird and wrong to most people, but…I don't care about what other think, I love them with all my heart and I want to spend the rest of my life with them."
Yuya reached into his pocket and pulled out four boxes and opened them. "Do you think they'll like them? I think so." He closed the boxes and put them in his pocket. "Yeah…things are looking up…"
Yuya's expression then changed from bliss to seriousness. "But it's not over…the Dimension War is over…but Genesis is still out there…She wouldn't had helped me stop Leo if she didn't want something in return. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but…she was the reason all of this started. She told Yusho and Eve the plan, Leo got involved…it killed you all. What do you think I should do?"
The wind blew across his face and fallen flower petals were creating a trail. "Yeah…I'm thinking the same thing…" Yuya sighed. "Well, I'll see you later." Yuya walked in the direction opposite the trail created.
Standard Dimension – Kame Game
Yuya entered the shop again. "Hey! I'm back!" Yuya shouted.
"Ah, welcome back!" Sugoroku greeted Yuya. "Come, we have something for you in the back."
Yuya walked to the back of the room and confetti fell all over him. "Surprise! Happy Birthday, Yuya!"
Yoko, Yuji, Yugi, Yuzu, Shuzo, Futoshi, Ayu, Tatsuya, Gongenzaka, Sawatari, Reiji, Reira, Serena, Yuri, Dennis, Johan, Edo, Rin, Yugo, Jack, Crow, Aki, Ruka, Bruno, Chojiro, Frank, Amanda, Tanner, Yuto, Ruri, Shun, Kaito, Sayaka, Allen, Ryoga and Akari cheered.
"Wow, guys, this all looks great." Yuya smiled at the party layout.
"Let's make it better!"
Yuya was lifted by Jonouchi from behind and flipped over. "You look great, buddy!"
"Hey, Yuya!"
"We missed you!"
"Bring it in!"
Rio, Asuka and Rua all hugged Yuya from the side. "Hahaha… the gang's back together." Yuya smiled.
Everyone was enjoying the party and having a good time, there was a special cake made by Yoko that was in the form of Odd-Eyes. Yuya was chatting with his team.
"So, Jonouchi, how are things going with the wedding?" Yuya asked.
"I, uh, honestly don't know." Jonouchi admitted. "Akari said that the best way I could help plan the wedding was to stay out of the way."
"Yeah, you should keep doing that." Asuka said.
"Just nod and agree with everything she says." Rua said.
"But you have to listen too. Especially when she complains about her figure." Rio added.
"And be quick with your responses, don't ever hesitate or ponder." Yuya advised.
"Gotta right that down." Jonouchi wrote down what they said in a little notebook titled, Ways to Stay on Your Wife's Good Side. "I don't want to screw up both the wedding and the honeymoon."
"So, Asuka. I heard that they want you to become a teacher at the Academia?" Yuya asked.
"Yeah, Principal Cronos approached me and gave me the opportunity. I've always enjoyed helping others and there are still some people who are lost because of Leo." Asuka said.
"Where is baldy anyway?" Rua asked.
"He's still in the Max Security Prison." Yuya said. "The only time he's out is when he does forced labor to undo any damage he has done to the dimensions. He has tried to commit suicide though, but Reiji always brings him back to life."
"Guy had it coming." Jonouchi said. "So, I'm getting married, Asuka is gonna be a teacher…"
"Ruka and I are planning to go to London." Rua said. "Bruno told us that's where our parents met and fell in love, so we thought we go see it for ourselves. Maybe we'll move over there."
"Now that Barian and Astral World a coexisting together, I can focus on graduating and entering the National Tournaments." Rio said. "What about you, Yuya? You're a Professional now, which league are you gonna start career in?"
"I…um…actually wanted to talk to you all about that." Yuya admitted. "I'm…gonna leave Maiami City."
"You're leaving?!"
Yuya jumped a little before turning to see Yuzu, Serena, Rin, Ruri, Yuto, Yugo, Yuri, Gongenzaka, Shuzo, Yoko, Yuji, Yugi, Futoshi, Ayu and Tatsuya looking at him in shock.
"Why are you leaving?" Ayu asked.
"You can't leave now!" Futoshi complained.
"The new school is almost done; you have to be there!" Tatsuya argued.
"Whoa, whoa, guys, hang on, this is our brother. Our little, stupid, moronic brother!" Yugo grabbed Yuya and put him in a headlock. "How dare you keep this from us!"
"I was gonna tell you all after I told them…" Yuya choked out. Yuto and Yuri pulled Yugo off of Yuya, making him catch is breath. "Guys, there's a reason why I'm leaving. The war is over…but there are still too many loose ends that need to be tied up."
"Loose ends?" Gongenzaka questioned.
"Oh, I get it. You mean Genesis." Serena realized.
"But you guys made a deal, right? It's been a year and she hasn't bothered us." Yuto said.
"Genesis was the one who started all of this. Her plan influenced Eve and Yusho to split the United World, it made Leo launch the invasion of Xyz. The fact that she's still out there…she's planning something but I don't know what she really wants." Yuya said.
"Can't you just leave her alone though?" Yuri suggested. "If you get her riled up, who knows what she can do."
"I'm not going directly to her, Genesis had to have laid out clues as to what she is planning. She had to have a place somewhere in the other dimensions where she did her other plans. Once I find out what it is, I'll let you all know so we're prepared if something bad is coming." Yuya explained.
"Oh my god, Yuya. Why are you always trying to be the hero?" Yugo complained. "You won; the war is over! You're famous! You are Pro Duelist! You have a family again! Just drop it and live your life!"
"You don't understand…" Yuya sighed as he sat down.
"Then help us understand. Just talk to us." Yoko went to her son.
"Like I said, Genesis caused all of this to happen. Mom, Dad, Master, you guys. It may have been done by other people, but her plan for a paradise caused too much pain and tragedy. Genesis may have helped me and Serena end the war, but she only does things for herself, not for others. She's a manipulator with promises of falsehood." Yuya said.
"Genesis Omega Dragon…A dragon that is the beginning and the end. She was the beginning of our world and I know that she'll be the end as well…That's why even though nothing has happened yet, I can't fully rest until I know for sure that everything is over." Yuya admitted.
"Yuya…we're your older brothers…how come you didn't tell us first?" Yuto asked, feeling hurt that Yuya decided to tell Jonouchi, Asuka, Rua and Rio first.
"Because I knew you would tell me not to go." Yuya said. "I needed honest opinions and these guys have been with me throughout most of the war." He turned to the group. "What do you guys think?"
"I guess I understand having to keep living while looking over your shoulder." Rua admitted. "Always being on alert isn't really good way to live." Rua remembered living in the Commons with Security always looming over him.
"Yeah, just because something ends, doesn't mean everything is gonna be smooth sailing." Rio remembered their failed invasion of Academia even though they saved Heartland.
"Always worrying about the people, you love, even though the battle is over." Asuka remembered worrying about her brother after the Zero Reverse Incident.
"I think we are all in agreement." Jonouchi said. "Look, if you need anything, anything at all. We'll come to you."
"I honestly hope it doesn't come to that, but thank you." Yuya thanked.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, you can't be serious!" Yugo complained.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with Yugo." Yuri admitted.
"Hey, you said my name." Yugo smiled.
"Don't get used to it." Yuri scowled.
"They're right, Yuya. Just drop it." Yuto admitted. "Tell him, Yoko, he'll listen to you."
"They're right…family always sticks together." Yoko said. "But…family also trusts in one another. And I trust you, Yuya."
"Same here." Yuji admitted.
"I'll always trust you, Big Brother Yuya." Yugi added.
"I, the man Gongenzaka, will believe in my friend's success and return." Gongenzaka declared.
"We'll hold down the fort here. Go and do what you got to do." Sawatari crossed his arms.
"Don't worry, we won't let anyone destroy the peace you fought for." Reiji fixed his glasses.
"Everyone…" Yuya smiled. "Well, elder brothers?" Yuya turned to them.
"Well, at least take this with you." Yugo handed Yuya their gift.
"Anything goes wrong, call us first." Yuto stressed.
"And come home." Yuri added.
"Thanks…" Yuya smiled.
Kame Game – Yuya's Room
The party was almost over and while everyone was distracted with games, Yuya brought Yuzu, Serena, Rin and Ruri to his bedroom.
"So, I guess you all want to beat the crap out of me for leaving again." Yuya said.
"Honestly, we kind of saw this coming." Yuzu admitted.
"You did?" Yuya was surprised.
"Yuya, every date you went on with us, you were always lost in thought or looking over shoulder like someone was gonna jump out and attack us." Ruri admitted.
"It was kind of cute though, you worrying about us." Rin said.
"I'm sorry. I really do love you all, I do. In fact, it's why I brought you up here." Yuya admitted.
"Oh, uh…how is this gonna work, do you wanna do one at a time or all of us together. I mean I think the bed can hold us all." Serena said.
"Wait, no, not that!" Yuya blushed.
"I don't mind." Yuzu blushed. "Just so long as I'm first."
"Oh please, everyone knows the best is for last." Rin argued.
"No, no, the middle is the sweet spot." Ruri said.
"Can we just stop this talk about the love making process. Besides, we're 15." Yuya pointed out. "Just close your eyes."
The girls closed their eyes and they felt Yuya take their left hand and putting something on their ring finger. "Okay, take a look." The girls looked at their hand and they were all amazed. They each got a ring.
Yuzu's was design like a flower with a pink gem in the middle. Ruri's was shaped like a bird with a yellow gem. Rin's was in the shape of wavy wind with a green gem. Serena's was in the shape of a crescent moon with a purple gem.
"This is to prove how loyal I am to you and that I will spend the rest of my life, loving all of you every single day." Yuya said.
"Girls…" Yuzu looked at her counterparts and they all approached Yuya.
"Ready and…" The girls leaned in and they all kissed Yuya, making him turn so red that it matched his hair.
"Here, we got you something too. We actually found it while sorting through Principal Samejima's belongings." Serena gave him a small wrapped gift.
Yuya's Bedroom – After the Party
Yuya was in his bedroom looking at the gifts that his girlfriends and brothers gave him. His brothers got him an old-fashioned Walkman, which was pretty rare since everyone now streams music or download a digital copy.
"Heh…" Yuya smiled as held the Walkman. He closed his eyes as he recalled another precious memory.
United World – Ryuga Residence
Yuya was sitting in his high chair laughing happily as he saw his parents dancing around while making breakfast as a Walkman was playing a tape.

"I couldn't if I tried!" Ray sang.
"Oh honey if I get restless." Zarc flipped a pancake in the air.
"Baby you're not that kind." Ray caught it on a plate.

"You take the weight off of me." Ray got a baby bottle with milk.
"Honey when you knock on my door." Zarc picked up Yuya from his chair.
"Ooh, I gave you my key." Ray kissed Yuya on the cheek.
"Woo hoo! Nobody knows it!" Zarc and Ray danced with Yuya in between.
"When I was down." Zarc pouted.
"I was your clown." Ray made a goofy face.
"Woo hoo! Nobody knows it!"
"Right from the start!"
"I gave you my heart!"
"Oh-oh I give you my heart!"
Yuya giggled as his parents made goofy faces and dances.
Yuya's Bedroom
Yuya smiled as he looked at the Walkman and then took the girls' gift. He opened it up and there was a birthday card and a cassette tape.
Yuya opened the card and his eyes widened. It was written by his mother and father.
"Hey, Champ. Mom and Dad here." Yuya read. "Today's your birthday, another year that we've had with you. Man, time flies. Pretty soon, you'll be a man and moving out on your own. But honestly, I don't want you to grow up. I'm not ready to say goodbye, but something in my gut tells me something bad is coming, so we wanted to prepare you a little something." Yuya choked a little. This card was probably just before the United World was split.
"We all have had days where we feel like the world is against us. Maybe it is, but I want you to know that my reason for being strong isn't my dream of being the World Champion, it is you, my son."
"That's why we wanted to leave you this gift from us. Whenever you feel down, whenever you need motivation, whenever you feel lost, our gift is to help guide you. We may be gone from this world, but we live on forever in your heart."
"We love you, Champ. Now and forever. Dad."
"And Mom."
Yuya looked at the cassette tap and one side read 'Dad's Favorites' and the other said 'Mom's Favorites'. Yuya put the cassette tape into the walk man and played it.

Yuya saw the members of the resistance, including Shun, Sayaka, Allen, Kaito, his family, and the Arclight family where they all wished him luck. Yuya responded by showing his own red scarf tied on his arm.

Yuya saw the other Academias led by Johan, Jim, O'Brien, Edo and Manjoume waving at him. Grace tried to go after Yuya but was held back by her sister Gloria.

Yuya made to the edge where his main team, brothers, family, girlfriends and friends waited for him.

Yuya hugged each of them and called upon his D-Wheel from his Duel Disk and mounted on it.

Yuya looked back at all of his friends who all waved him goodbye. He saw his brothers smile, his new family wishing him well, his best friends that stood by his side, the girls he loved with all his heart.

Yuya stepped on the gas and sped off into the unknown. "Everyone…I'll be back one day…"
"Genesis! The Counterattack Starts Now!" Yuya declared as he sped off.
Mt. Fuji
Genesis slept in her cave when footsteps approached her. "Everything is ready, Genesis." Kneeling before her was Bakura.
"Excellent work. I already have Aigami, Saio, Roget and Don Thousand finishing their preparations. It won't be long now" Genesis said.
"Oh, how I waited to hear those words." Bakura smiled.
"Yes. It is time for paradise to be brought to this world!" Genesis rose and took into her dragon form. "The Paradise…of the Dark Games!"
And that is the end of the Fusion Arc. What a ride it has been. And now we are in the final arc of this story. Man, I have enjoyed every second of it and I hope you have as well.

"Hey, I need your help. Something is happening in the village of Kul Elna." Atem spoke on the phone.
"For a friend, I'll be there." An older and mature Yuya hung up his phone. He then put on his headphones and played his tunes.

"The Dark Games will now return! Now go and eliminate all who stand in our way!" Genesis ordered to Aigami, Saio, Roget and Don Thousand.
New Enemies
"Who are you?" Jonouchi asked Aigami as the area around him was crumbling away.
"I will use the Plana to change this cursed world!" Aigami declared.
Destined Battles
"Your darkness is no match for my light!" Saio unleashed his light.
"This power…this is the Light of Destruction, huh? Wait, is that?" Asuka saw another figure behind Saio.
Bitter Grudges
"It's time to take back what is mine!" Roget declared.
"We fought so hard to get our home back! I won't let you do what you want!" Rua stepped on his D-Wheel.
Rematch of Revenge
"I am stronger now than ever before!" Don Thousand declared.
"You're not fighting me! You're fighting all of us!" Rio changed into her Barian Mode.
A Promise to Return
"Hey, don't worry, I'll be back, I promise." Yuya called.
"You better." Serena smiled. "I love you."
"I love you too." Yuya hung up the phone.
Serena put down her phone and sighed as she rubbed her round belly.
Gates Will Be Broken
"With the return of the Dark Games! The gate to Duel Monsters will break!" The stone where Bakura set the Millennium Items shattered and Duel Monsters entered the human world.
The Dimension Guardians Return.
"Can we trust her?" Rio asked.
"She's with Sol Technologies." Rua pointed out.
"Kaiba vouched for her." Jonouchi said.
"Good enough for me. Welcome to the Guardians, Aoi Zaizen." Asuka welcomed a girl with short brown hair and brown eyes.
"You can call me…" Aoi's body glowed and her appearance changed to long blue hair, blue eyes and blue, white uniform. "Blue Maiden."
The Last Members of the United World
"Time to kill you for good!" Yusho glared at Yuya.
"You will regret messing with me!" Genesis changed into a dragon.
"This all ends now." Yuya activated his Duel Disk and his left eye glowed.
Everything Comes to an End
"Almost there, Atem. We're almost there!" Yuya panted as he carried a tired and comatose Atem.

Yuya placed Atem behind some boulders. Yuya sighed before smiling and rubbing his head. He then walked away with Atem slowly waking up and reaching out to him.
"Embrace your dreams…" Yuya activated his Duel Disk. "And whatever happens." Yuya drew five cards. "Protect your honor…as a Duelist!" Yuya ran forward. "Let's go you bastards!"
Yuya charged towards an army of Duel Monsters ranging from the smallest Kuriboh to the gigantic Exodia.
The End Begins on August 20th.
