GATE EPSIODE 1

Getting on the train with my brother I pulled out my headphones and put on some heavy metal and listened to a bunch of hard rock while my brother sighed over his phone games. Today was the day the two of us went to a doujinshi convention and ironically it was the same day as comikat so I was going to go check that out and see what it's like.

Looking over at my brother's screen I laughed and said, "ran out of energy?"

Itami sighed and said, "yeah shit like this happens way to often how do you deal with it?"

Laughing I said, "easy I horde a shit ton of energy potions for a full year crying as I miss events and then spend the entire next year doing every single event."

Itami laughed and said, "you are one hardcore cookie bro."

As we left the train and got on the escalator Itami looked at me and said, "I know you're looking for more Doujin right? Well give me a list and I'll see what I can do."

I smiled and said, "I mean anything with tan skinned elves or Tieflings would be great I'll pay you back if you get me anything good. No NTR though can't stomach that stuff."

Itami started to Yawn and said, "Man, I'm wiped out. Ehh! Come on! This day only happens like twice a year! All right…. Time for Research…Yes!"

I looked forward and noticed the pole and without telling my brother I got out of the way of it and let him hit his head on the pole and laughed as he started to pass out.

Suddenly he shot up and held his head in pain as he moaned.

Chuckling I kneeled down and said, "are you okay bro?"

Itami groaned a bit and looked like he was about to cry while I try to hold back a bit of laughter, this man might have been my big brother but he was such a goofball. Curiously he looked like he could see something like he was looking into the future or even into another reality before finally getting up and groaning at the pain in his head.

"Jango why didn't you warn me about the pole!" Itami groaned as I handed him his phone.

Laughing I said, "sorry big brother but I guess you can say for humors sake I had to let you hit the pole"

Itami groaned and said, "okay just for that no doujin for you"

Pretending to be Heartbroken I looked at him and said, "noooo you wouldn't dare deprive your brother of his fix would you!"

Itami turned his head and got back up saying, "as your older brother it is my job to teach you fuck around and find out and Mister you fucked around way too much."

Sighing I said, "very well I guess this outcome should have been seen."

As we walked and talked, I noticed out of the corner of my eye something I never thought possible, a wyvern. Like an actual living breathing wyvern! But what was even odder was the there was a person riding it!

Looking at my brother I said, "you saw that too right!"

Itami nodded and said, "we have to go!"

Nodding back I rushed out to assess the situation. If this was an invasion these guys were using some really low tech but it looked like they had, for lack of better word monsters on their side. Reaching into my bag and pulling out my collapsible sword I rushed into war.

Rushing at the strange pig demon I twirled around it grabbing his sword and slicing through it. Guess it was time to reveal my training as an assassin if these people wanted to invade my home, they better be ready for death.

These bastards may have had armor, but my skills and training were more than a match. Keeping my eyes open as a huge orc with a hammer tried to squish me, I rolled underneath it and sliced his legs clean off before using him as a springboard tackling one of the horsemen and tearing his head clean off.

Looking at my brother I shouted, "I will take the attack to the enemy and purge their ranks you defend the civilians brother."

Itami nodded and I let out a howl of war as I charged into the frey with a sword in hand. Using the horse as a springboard I leapt amongst the head of the soldiers and started decapitating them one after another, these men…no these animals wanted to incade my home they killed hundreds of people and were now looking to cause considerable harm to more, I didn't see them as people anymore I saw them as sheep ready for slaughter.

Sensing the fear in their ranks and watching as the JSDF had managed to take their leader I did a black flip of the last guy and landed perfectly watching as the other knights ran away only to be mowed down by machine gun fire.

One of the policemen then rushed to me and said, "you wouldn't happen to be Paldin Itami Jango would you?"

I nodded my head pulling out the cross on my chest and said, "yes sir, and here is my badge in case you need proof".

The police man kneeled and said, "thank you for the assistance Paladin

Kneeling in front of the Alter I raised my hand and let Doctor Miandi brand my hand with the symbol of the inquisition.

"Rise hero of Nobushiji, hero of Ginsa, Jango Itami rise and accept your new title as High Inqunistor of the Dark Legion" Doctor Miandi shouted for all legionnaires to hear.

Rising up I heard the other soldiers hit their chests in salute and I turned to face them ready for whatever came next. A couple months would pass as dark legion recon units would work alongside Japanese recon specialists to investigate this special region and soon it was up to the jsdf with help and military funding from dark legion private enforcement to settle this new untamed land.

As I was getting into my combat harness Doctor Miandi approached me and said, "9292, I wish to give you a new set of armor for this mission follow me high inquisitor."

Nodding my head, I followed the doctor to a lab where we worked on all kinds of new armor harnesses and plating for soldiers to use.

Smiling Doctor Miandi brought me in front of a huge suit of armor and said, "say hello to your new combat harness we call it the Retribution class assault harness."

Doctor Miandi then revealed the sleek black armor with a helmet that was all armor plating, no face no glass for visuals just a full dome of black steel ballistic plating and this eerie jagged smile with a single eye in the center of the helmet. the helmet had a hood with it that went to a point almost like a priest's hood with silver embroidery all over it.

Looking over the new armor I noticed the plating was a lot denser than the titanium I was using before, yet it felt lighter at the same time.

"Curious…is this a new type of metal?" I asked looking over the gauntlets.

Doctor Miandi nodded and said, "after the Ginsa Incident we decided that since you'll be representing the Dark Legion in the Special Region, we would give you our top tier and highly experimental Armor designed specifically with you in mind High Inquisitor".

Miandi pressed a button on my forearm and a digital screen popped up, "Your suit has a built in 40 mile sonar system attuned to pick out friendly signals and non-friendly based solely on the information we gathered during the Ginsa Incident, as for weaponry we stuck with the arsenal we give all members of Ghost ops that you are familiar with, high powered Cloaking device which will shield you from all manner of Tracking cameras, Onboard A.I to help with info, Padding on the soles to help mask your presence and footsteps, and tracking software which allows you to see in the full spectrum of vision software"

Smirking I said, "what about personal upgrades Doc?"

Miandi laughed and said, "I was waiting for you to ask, your suit is armed to the teeth both with the blades you love and a few extra surprises, the gauntlets are by far the most well-armed, relying only a single thought to activate any of its hidden weapons, the gauntlets have built in blade launchers that fire 5 inch spiraled titanium serrated daggers which can travel at Mach 2 easily and explode upon impact, Flamethrowers with a range of 50 ft, 13 inch retractable swords made of Titanium and serrated with Plasma. The hands can also be heated to well over 500 degrees Fahrenheit without risk to your actual hands should you need to silently melt through something. On your back is a set of silent recon Jet thrusters. Next up your knees, both knee pads have 6-inch retractable knives in them for combat, and your leg armor conceals small homing missiles for small attacks, there isn't enough power behind them to cause a big explosion but let's just say no one will be walking away from these."

Laughing I looked at the rest of the armor, Miandi kept the rest of the gear practically the same, the twin locked Kukri knives I keep on my shoulders, my twin holstered SMGs on my legs, the bandolier of small detonators and grenades ranging from smoke all the way to gun powder.

Doctor Miandi then handed me a custom rifle and said, "Now then no soldier is complete without his rifle, and we have a real heavy hitter ready just for you Swordsman, the Berretta Dober cannon A High impact anti-tank, and anti-material high impact cannon, unlike the rest of our weapons that use bullets the dober cannon uses a custom thermal shell instead able to burn at well over 3'450 degrees Fahrenheit"

Whistling I held it up and attached it to my back where It mag locked onto a special clamp.

"And what about my cutlery Doctor? After all a swordsman is nothing without a sword" I smirked

Doctor Miandi laughed and said "well I have something special for you, after your last mission in Peru we realized Murasame was not a strong enough blade for you so we created this huge red Nodachi named Kaiser it is a high frequency Katana that can cut through anything cauterizing the wounds in the process, the blade also has a very thin line of plasma should you truly need to burn through something tough, I hope this Odachi is to your liking"

I whistled and picked up the huge sword and attached it to my back holster right over my jet thrusters and laughed the blade fit perfectly on the mount for it.

Smirking Doctor Miandi said, "now then here is your mission, you are to assist the JSDF until they feel they have fully accomplished their mission in the special realm and establish a satellite launch site in that area, once that area is completed Dark Legion will find its way into the special region and build a forward operating base as well as our own "gate" to further supply and help our troops with new tech, as for secondary objectives you are to locate Doctor Wilma if she is still alive and guide her through the gate where Dark Legion Personnel will be there to pick her up, do you take this mission high inquisitor?"

Kneeling and forming an X with my arms I said, "the gods have chosen me to herald death, and on earth I serve, so as the high inquisitor I humbly take this mission, Momento Mori!"

Soon I made it to the mission site to see my brother Itami standing at attention.

Smiling I walked up to him and said, "ready for this brother?"

This shocked Itami who looked back at me and said, "Jango! What the hell are you doing here!"

I chuckled and said, "dark Legion has some interest in the special Region and thus asked to send a single representative to act as a Vanguard."

Itami smiled and said, "good to have you on this mission Brother."

The Current Prime minster then came to the stand and said, "Thanks to the efforts of former Prime Minister Hojo, and much Multipartisan support this action is finally authorized… and ready to begin. You carry all the hopes and dreams of our people with you. Members of the defense force and High Inquisitor, serve us with distinction…we shall expect nothing less of you."

A soldier with a brown mustache then stepped forward and said, "Soldiers, I am Lieutenant General Hazama! Several missions have scouted the Region over the last 4 weeks. So far all of them have returned safely…but we still don't know what we're facing. Therefore, I suggest you all get ready for the possibility of a firefight the moment you reach the other side. We're moving out shortly. Stand by."

Loading two new mags into my SMGs I snickered and watched as the Gate opened allowing the tanks to go in first through the Gate. I loaded up into the Jeep with my brother and his squad as we went through the Gate which was a lot longer than I thought it was.

One of the soldiers then looked at Itami and said, "Hey…you got a sec? I hear there's catgirls and stuff over there…you think that's true?"

Itami smirked and said, "Huh…well hell, why wouldn't there be"

Joining in on the conversation I said, "if it is true then it is in the Dark Legion's interest if you bring back live samples for dissection and study."

Itami looked at me and said, "we don't take POWs Jango- High Inquisitor we don't have any orders to do so anyways so if you want your POWs you take them yourself."

Giving an evil glare underneath my helmet I said, "good I like doing things myself" which ended up making the other soldiers really uncomfortable.

As we exited the gate I was in awe at the smell of the air, pure cold and crisp, devoid of any pollutants or foul tastes, it was like industry left this entire area untouched. Cackling I knew this would be fun.

Soon one of the gunners from the spearhead division shouted, "we got contact!" and we all barreled out of the jeeps ready to fight.

The Lieutenant general looked at me and said, "High inquisitor would you do us the honor of firing the first shot of the new world!"

Cackling I walked forward to see the amassed army and unsheathed the baretta and aimed it at the army picking the huge giant as the first kill, "may the gods have no mercy on your soul for thou hath led a life of sin, in the name of the father the son and holy ghost, amen" before firing a clean and thunderous shot straight into the giant's skull killing it on impact.
