pair: Levi x Eren

Beta: Patolemus

Hi my lovely reader, I,m doing another story of Levi x Eren. I just love this couple. I just want to thank my beta for making this happen. Okay enough arthur note. I hope u all enjoy.

Eren and Levi were in Trost, and everything had become total chaos from the moment Zeke screamed and turned a bunch of people into titans. From their understatement, he wanted to kidnap his nephew, Eren and Levi's child, and turn him into a titan, for whatever reason.

Eren held his baby close to his chest, shielding him as much as he could from the destruction around them with his arms while Levi focused on killing the titans that had come to ruin their night, trying to protect his small family with all his might.

Zeke had been after Eren for years now, ever since he got married to Levi, in fact. Now, he seemed to have gained another unfortunate target, going for Eren and Levi's son.

As for right now, they were on their own. They had been on a date with their son, as it was their free day, and so no one thought of tagging along. After all, they were Humanity's Hope and Strongest, why would they need any kind of protection? It was for that same reason that Mikasa, Armin, and the rest of their squad was currently in the Survey Corps headquarters with Historia, acting as the Queen's personal escort while she visited before heading back to her home in Mitras. It helped that they all lived there, as most of the scouts do, and that Levi and Eren didn't.

After their marriage, they had moved to a house close to their headquarters so they could have the privacy a room in the officers' corridor couldn't give them. Hange had moved in with them almost automatically. Ever since the loss of most of their forces, including Moblit and Erwin, she had to step up as the new Commander of the scouts, and neither of them had the need for anything too fancy when most of their time was spent at their headquarters, so it was an easy decision to live together, specially since Levi and Hange were the only veterans left from the Survey Corps.

Admittedly, Eren had gotten a bit jealous of their relationship at times. He understood they had been close friends for years, and with the new responsibilities they all got after reclaiming Wall Maria, it was to be expected that the two highest ranking officers had to take care of things together. But it had gotten to a point that every time Hange had to leave for business, Levi tagged along, always by her side.

Eren felt a little left out. He just wanted to be with his family, preferably without Hange in the middle, for once. And so, taking his chance when Hange had to go speak with Yelena, Eren asked his husband for a night out in town.

Levi agreed without much convincing needed. He had also been wanting to spend time with his husband as their child, so it wasn't all that hard for Eren to get them ready for a fancy dinner on their free day.

It was nighttime and the moon was up, shining brightly and beautifully. It truly was a great night for a date. Levi was half dressed up, donning a suit jacket and a collared shirt. He still wore his uniform pants and his maneuver gear, but it was mostly out of habit, more than an actual concern for their safety. Eren didn't have such precautions, leaving his gear at home in favor of a suit and his beautiful son in his arms. He thought nothing would happen, because why would it?

Levi had been holding Eren's hand, kissing his finger while his steely gray eyes looked into a pair of gree ones. Eren had been blushing, a shy smile on his lips as his other arm held their baby boy on his lap.

And suddenly there was a loud crush and the ground started to shake. It had taken them only a few moments to realize the building was being destroyed, and when they ran outside to escape the debris, they found Zeke in his titan form, that seventeen-meter beast full of hair and creepy smile.

There were other titans with him, pure titans - that had once been humans - eating people without a care in the world.

Zeke yelled out to the crowd. He asked for their son. Their beautiful, innocent boy who has done nothing to the world except being born in it.

Levi grabed Eren, who was holding their child with a death grip, and carried them both in his arms as he used his gear to swing them on top of a nearby building.

"You stay up here, Eren, and I'll take care of the beast bitch. I've had enough," his face was murderous, reflecting Eren's own emotions. He was glad their son was much too young to remember any of this. He didn't need to see all the destruction around them. "If he thinks he can keep messing with my family, he's got another thing coming," he pulled out his blades, and not for the first time Eren thought he was looking at an Angel of Death, beautiful as it was deadly. Levi looked almost ethereal with the moon shining behind him, showing only the silhouette of someone that was both a symbol and a simple man.

Eren's long hair blew with the wind. He bit his lip as he looked at his husband, regret already filling him as he held his son closer.

"I should have brought my gear," he said guiltily. "Let me take over, Levi. You can hold onto our baby. Maybe… maybe I can talk to my brother," he knew it was futile to try and convince Levi, but he still had to try.

"How many times, Eren, are you supposed to try and talk to him, huh? No, this is the last fuck straw. I'm going to kill that piece of shit," there was loathing in his eyes, that spoke of a revenge long overdue. Those same eyes burned with love and desire as Levi pulled Eren close for a fearsome kiss, full of desperation and affection. When they pulled apart, Levi placed a kiss on their son's forehead before turning around, ready to head into battle.

Just before he jumped, Eren spoke up. "Be safe, Levi. You've defeated by brother before, and you can do it again," he then turned around and ran away, already thinking of how to best jump from rooftop to rooftop without his gear, trying to think of a place where he could hide his baby boy.

Meanwhile, Levi focused on killing the titans on by one, all in an effort to get close enough to Zeke to finally kill the b***. People all around him were screaming, running away from the titans in an effort to get to the boats for the evacuation that was sure to be starting already. Trost was once again in ruins and up in flames.

As Levi finally got closer, leaving a trail of steaming corpses in his wake, Zeke opened his mouth again, speaking in that slow way he always did while on inside his titan.

"Come at me, Levi! This time you can't win!" his mouth stretched into that creepy smile of his, elvish ears twitching not unlike Eren's would, loath as Levi was to make a connection like that one. "All I want is my brother and my nephew. But if I can't have them…" he sounded as if considering, but it took him mere seconds to grab one of the nearly rocks and crushing it with his fist before throwing it at the direction where Eren and their son were.

Levi, feeling like his heart had been carved out of his chest, looked over, horrified.

"EREN! LEO!"
