There were explosions all around the gravel pit. The Ryusoulger, Patranger, and Lupinranger were fighting Ganima Noshiagalda, a Gangler who has taken Kishiryu Tyramigo, Kishiryu DimeVolcano, Kishiryu Pachygaroo, Kishiryu MosaRex, and Kishiryu Pterardon. Kleon, a member of Warfare Tribe Druidon a group of monsters that wanted to resurrect their leader Eras. And one of their monsters' Griffon Minosaur.
The three teams had just dealt with both the Drunn Soldiers and Porderman. A collection of footsoldiers for both the Ganglers and the Druidon. But they couldn't defeat the Gangler. All because of him having stuffed the Kishiryu in the safes that are in the bodies of all upper-level Gangler. But unlike most other Gangler he didn't have one or even two safes. But five. And when a Gangler had five safes they had to be opened all at once.
But during the last fight with Ganima's safes evolved and became Status Gold. Meaning that the safes needed two for each safe. And in this situation, the rangers would need 10 total Dail Fighters. Which they didn't have. But Noël Takao thought he had come up with something that might help them. And was about to tell them.
"We might be able to open Ganima's safes like this." Lupin Blue said to the Ryusoulger. With them taking the lead and making sure to lead Griffon Minosaur away from the fight. And getting Ganima into a stranglehold so that they could go after the Kishiryu.
"Now, Koh!" Lupin Red said to Koh.
"Everyone...use these LupinSouls," Noël said, tossing three RyuSouls to Asuna, Koh, and Melto.
"LupinSoul?" Koh asked, looking at the brand new RyuSoul. "I see! Alrig-" Koh said, getting pumped to fight for the Kishiryu with these new RyuSouls. But then there was a series of explosions as Lupin Yellow, Lupin Blue, Patran Nigou, and Patran Songou were flung onto the ground in front of them.
Lupin Yellow looked like she wasn't moving. Kairi ran up to her. "Umika!" he yelled. "She's-She's dead," Kairi said to the world at large.
"I guess. Kleon and Griffon Minosaur were tougher than I gave them credit for." Ganima said with a boasting atmosphere. He loved that this happened just as they were about to "free the Kishiryu".
"I-It wasn't them," Tsukasa grunted out as the rest of them slowly stood up and looked up in the air to see ships flying overhead. Then where they came from you heard sounds of stumping and movement. And there was an army of these machine-looking things. They also held up Kleon and Griffon Minosaur. Kleon looked scared for the first time since the Ryusoulger first saw him.
"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" Kleon yelled.
"Shut up!" the machine that led the assault said and had his grunts throw Kleon and Griffon Minosaur into the air and fired off his gun. It gave off a blast like nothing that they had seen before. And both Kleon and Griffon Minosaur were destroyed in an explosion in the air.
"Who are you?" Koh asked, readying himself for a fight.
"I don't see why I should tell you who we are. It's not like any of you will survive this fight. But I am nice. I am Plex Shujin. And we are Kikaitopia Dynasty Tojitendo. We want all the parallel worlds we can get for our great leader. And yours is our next target. But first, we have to get rid of what we call the little pests." he said and fired his gun hitting not any of the rangers looking at him.
But at Ganima. Who blew up instantly. The screams of the Kishiryu could be heard over the explosion. Koh fell to his knees as the flames slowly subsided. He wanted to protect the world and save his friends. But not only had one of them died already, they just lost their Kishiryu too.
"Pachygaroo." Asuna moaned looking at the flames. After Pachygaroo had a fight with her daughter Chibigaroo Pachygaroo was captured. Chibigaroo was back at base blaming herself. If she had been with her mother they might have been able to escape. Everyone knew that wasn't the case. And if she had been she would have died with her mother.
But before anyone could think about what they had lost. There was a flash. And Koh, Melto, Asuna, Towa, Bamba, and Canalo were outside of their henshin. "Eh?" Melto asked, looking at his body. He pulled out the Blue RyuSoul. He tried to henshin again. But nothing happened.
"The destruction of the Kishiryu..." Canalo said looking at the spot that Ganima had blown up.
"It cost us our powers," Bamba said, looking at Plex Shujin and the Tojitendo grunts.
"Don't worry about it," Kairi said standing up a fire in his very soul that he never thought would be quenched. At least until this bastard was killed. And the rest of the Lupinranger and the Patranger felt the same. Patran Nigou kept looking at the lifeless body of Umika. And the six remaining rangers rushed Plex Shujin and the grunts.
Asuna watched as Koh and Melto looked at the LupinSouls they had just been given. They then saw Lupin Blue flung into the walls of the pit. Melto didn't need to go to him to realize that he had just watched him die. "I can't just watch this," Koh said standing up as he heard screams of pain from Patran Songou.
"Let's try these," Melto said holding up the LupinSoul.
"It's better than just watching this." Asuna said as she watched as one of the grunts slashed Patran Nigou who fell down dead.
"LupinSoul!" they said, flipping the RyuSoul into its Knight Mode and inserting it inside their RyuSoul Calibur. And then closed the mouth of the RyuSoul Calibur.
"LupinRanger!" the RyuSoul Calibur said as they held it out in front of them. Then they opened and closed it again and again. "Combine. Your. Powers. Together." it said with each opening and closing of their RyuSoul Calibur. They swung it down as they watched Tsukasa fall to the ground dead. "Super Sentai!" it said and there was a flash. They had henshined into more LupinRanger as they watched new friends fall to the Tojitendo.
"AHHH!" they yelled as they rushed into the fight trying to fight using both what was left of the Ryusoulger powers kept in their RyuSouls and also the LupinRanger Dial Fighters, weapons, and VS Changers. But three more LupinRanger did nothing but prolong the inevitable.
"NOëL!" Asuna yelled as she watched the last LupinRanger and PatRanger fall.
"G-Get out of here. All of you." Noël choked out through his cracked and broken helmet.
"But..." Asuna looked at him.
"Enough beautiful Mademoiselles have died today." looked to where Tskuasa's body lay. Asuna looked at the first one to fall today. Umika laid all alone laying near her friends that were standing watching as Melto fell too.
"MELTO!" they yelled.
"P-Please don't d-die," Noël said as his body went limp and lifeless.
Asuna started to cry in her helmet. She never thought that this would happen. In one day she lost her powers and now her friends. "KOH! GET YOUR ASS BACK TO THE OTHERS!" Asuna yelled.
"B-But that's not the knight's way," he said, trying to fight on.
"AND IF WE KEEP FIGHTING THESE BASTARDS NOW WE LOSE EVERYTHING! SO GET YOUR GOD DAMN ASS OVER TO THE OTHERS! WE NEED TO RETREAT!" she yelled as she stood up firing her new VS Changer at an enemy. She just managed to get to the others when she heard Koh yell. She turned just in time to see him with his own RyuSoul Calibur sticking out of his chest. "KOH!" everyone yelled as one.
"Everyone, let's get out of here. We can't win here and if we die here their deaths..." Asuna said, looking at the bodies of Koh, Melto, Kairi, Touma, Noël, Keiichiro, Sakuya, Tsukasa, and then to Umika.
"We know," Bamba said doing the same thing. And the four of them started to retreat. But as they were fleeing the battle a blow was going to hit Bamba and Towa pushed him out of the way and he got the full force. "TOWA!" Bamba yowled.
"Bamba!" Asuna yelled as she and Canalo ran. But Bamba couldn't leave his brother. The last thing she saw of what was now her longest friends was them being consumed by fires. With Bamba crying like a baby over his dead brother.
"Asuna..." Tatsui Naohisa said seeing Asuna stumble into the place where he did his research on dinosaurs. He was watching the news on his computer. He couldn't believe what was happening here. And he had almost given up hope that any of the Ryusoulger were alive until he saw her.
"Naohisa...Ui?" she asked, looking around. He shook his head. She had watched as Tojitendo ships blew up some buildings in the town. They were lucky right now they were in a part of the city they were not focusing on. And to find out that her non-fighting friend was dead too was too much. She went to the table that she had stuffed her face all the time at.
"ARGH!" she yelled and slammed the table again and again. Cracks began to appear in the concrete under it. "DAMN IT!" she screamed and the table blew apart into a million pieces.
"What is it?" Chibi asked, peeking out from behind a crate.
"Chibi..." Asuna said seeing the young Kishiryu.
"Where's Mama?" she asked.
"I-I...I couldn't save her. I couldn't save any of them. I failed Chibi...I failed." Asuna said and fell to her knees crying.
"The others are gone too?" Naohisa asked.
"Canalo is the only...He's with Oto. On the way back we were attacked by a ship...the remaining Kishiryu sacrificed themselves for us. Canalo was hurt. He went back to the sea with Oto hoping to recover...AS IF ANY OF US COULD!" she yelled, picking up a piece of the table and throwing it.
"Asuna..." Naohisa said to her not sure of what to say and thought it best to let her cry. Asuna cried for another few minutes. Then the words of Noël popped into her mind again.
"G-Get out of here. All of you. P-Please don't d-die," she heard again.
"We have to get out of here," she said to Naohisa.
"They aren't attacking us yet," he said to her.
"I don't mean this place. I mean this world. These bastards were talking about parallel worlds. Maybe we can travel to them and find more Nakama. Fight these pieces of shit robots and whoever their damn boss is." she said standing up.
"But how can we?" Chibi asked her. That's when she saw the computer that Naohisa was watching.
"They must have the tech on their ships. If we can find a way to get on board and get what we need. That's our ticket." Asuna said, looking at the ship on the screen.
"That could be a one-way ticket," Naohisa said to her.
"But if we stay the way we are there is no ticket. No nothing. And everyone died for nothing, damn it. I'm taking this chance." Asuna said to the room.
"But without me," Naohisa said to her.
"What? No." Asuna said, looking at him.
"Asuna...I am an old man. I can't get onto that ship without making it harder on you. You don't need to be caring for an old man while trying to get the only chance we have to get some sense of normality for the future of this world. Don't worry about me. I am old but I can manage." he said to her. She was looking at him. She knew he was right. But she didn't want to say goodbye to another friend today.
"Can I come?" Chibi asked, looking up at Asuna.
"Chibi?" Asuna asked her.
"I-I don't want to lose you Asuna-chan," Chibi said to her.
Asuna picked up Chibi. And smiled at her. It wasn't a genuine smile like she had shown her in the past but one from a broken woman. A woman that had nothing left to lose because she had lost everything in a day. "I don't want to lose you either Chibi," she said, kissing the top of Chibi.
The next thing Asuna knew she saw Naohisa put on a bandana. "Naohisa is right about him not going. But if you're serious about going with her Chibigaroo. Then here." Naohisa said. But it didn't sound like him. It was clear that he was now Seto. And he handed Asuna a RyuSoul she had never seen before.
"What is this?" she asked, looking at it.
"I sealed the Kishiryu years ago. But I did have another thought before I did that. And that was the NingenSoul. Use it on Chibigaroo." he said.
"NingenSoul," she said flip it into its Knight Mode. She inserted it into her RyuSoul Calibur.
"Change." the RyuSoul Calibur said after she inserted it. She held it out and opened it again and again just like she had when she became a LupinRanger. "Human. Human. Human. Human." it said as she opened and closed the mouth. "Henshin Human," it said as she pointed it at Chibi. And there was a flash and standing before her was a human woman.
"Eh?" both the woman and Asuna asked together.
"The NingenSoul allows a Ryusoulger to change a Kishiryu into a human. You'll have to redo the henshin every now and then," he said as Chibi looked at her body. She looked like she was a woman with the visible appearance of someone being older than her.
"Why do I look older than Asuna-chan?" Chibi went to a mirror and looked at it.
"Because you are. Asuna is only 209 years old after all. So you became older than her in your human form. And this form grants you certain powers. You share Asuna's strength and can power up RyuSouls so they can be used as if Pink RyuSoul was still active. And power her new LupinSoul to access even those VS Vehicles that were Patranger owned because they both used the VS Changer." he said to her.
"Why are you helping us now?" Asuna asked him. Part of her wanted to strangle Seto. They could have used him going into that fight with Ganima. They could have used him while watching Nakama die. And now he was giving her a power-up for her becoming a failure.
"You are right to hate me Asuna. I could have helped you sooner...I have no defense for not helping you save your team. Or the LupinRanger or PatRanger. But I can't go with you...and I am not going to make that mistake again. So take these RyuSouls." he said, handing her a bunch of RyuSouls she had never heard of before. "It will take too long for you to learn how to use them. You need to get this tech to find more Nakama because this threat isn't going away. Now go. And make what happened here not meaningless." he said and removed the bandana.
"Who is this woman?" Naohisa asked, looking at Chibi.
"Chibi." Asuna said to him.
"Eh?" he asked, looking at her.
"Don't worry about her or that. Naohisa...don't die on me. I want to explain who gave me the RyuSoul that made this happen." Asuna said, hugging the old man. Tears formed in her eyes again. She wasn't sure if they would ever stop flowing now.
"I am a tough old man. Now go before they target us here. And...the next time I see you I want it to be with an army that can turn these robots into scrap metal for those we lost today." he said with a smile.
"Now." Asuna said to Chibi as they jumped onto one of the ships that were going back to the ship attacking the city. They have been lucky so far. They hadn't been noticed while stocking some of the soldiers. Asuna didn't care anymore about her own life. She was beyond caring. She had watched her team die. She had watched their mecha sacrifice themselves to protect her. And she watched her senpai be slaughtered one by one.
The only thing she was caring about was Chibi. She wasn't a child for sure. She had noticed that her intelligence was that of an adult human if anything. But she was still young for a Kishiryu. And she couldn't stop Chibi's mother from being killed before her eyes. So if she was going to die she was going to make sure Chibi was going to live.
They waited as they watched the ship coming closer. Chibi was cuddling up to Asuna. Chibi was thinking about what she had lost today too. She didn't want Asuna or Seto to see her like how she felt. She didn't understand it herself. All she knew was that she wanted to stay with Asuna. She needed to be with her for the lone sense of normality that she had left.
Asuna kissed her new forehead. Chibi smirked. "We have each other Chibi. And I'll make sure you're going to make it." Asuna said to her.
"And I'm going to make sure Asuna-chan makes it too." Chibi smiled as the two of them felt the ship dock.
"Here we go. One way or another our future awaits." Asuna said with a smile. The smile was trying to hide the pain she didn't think would go away. But Chibi looked at that smile and wanted to make it genuine again. And the only way both of them could get what they were after was just outside this ship.
