GATE episode 7

Letting out a howl in rage I looked at War priest Bara Kiel and said, "I will go on ahead! If I give the word, I want you to raise Italica to the ground!" before slamming the back of the jeep wide open and unfurling my wings to zoom off towards the city.

"That god damn traitor! I should have stayed with the jeeps! Fuck!" I shouted.

Making it back to the checkpoint to see Kuribayashi and the others I landed next to them and growled, "he in there?"

Kuribayashi looked a bit startled but nodded saying, "How do you want to handle this high inquisitor?"

Meanwhile:

Pina started having a mini panic attack realizing just how much trouble they would be in if the wounds inflicted to master Itami didn't heal, and he died. That High Inquisitor, his brother, would surely unleash those fires from his wrists, or worse shoot blades at them, or slaughter them like cows, she was not afraid of the JSDF as much as it was the high inquisitor she was afraid of, the dark sorcery used by the JSDF was one thing but the cold unfeeling strength behind dark legion… she was certain death by their hands would be cold slow and merciless like the high inquisitor.

As Pina looked out the window, she saw it. The marble wings of death outside the city gates of Italica and fear overtook her.

Back to the normal scene:

Sighing I said, "damn it Itami" before sitting crossed legged on the ground.

"Hmmm Itami's ranger training should keep him alive if they decide to torture him or rough him up, so we got that hope" I muttered.

This shocked Kurybaishi who looked at me and said, "whaaaa! That slaker! A ranger badge!"

Lelei looked confused and said, "is that a bad thing?"

While Kuribayashi started to foam at the mouth I shook my head and said, "negative in fact quite the opposite Itami may not look it, but he is lethal hell he was my inspiration for getting into military service myself when I turned 18, he's a badass in his own way…"

Looking through the dober cannon at the manor I said, "let's get closer to the manor first…once there…kill everything in sight."

This shocked everyone as I started to turn cold.

Stuttering a bit Kuribayashi said, "but wouldn't that spark more conflict?"

I nodded and said, "if they killed my brother after he had bartered peace and left willingly without being drove out by the people then we can also use that as an excuse to justify our actions today" before holstering the dober cannon and unsheathing my SMGs and attaching silencers to them.

Slowly walking forward, I cloaked and suddenly started to bolt forward through Italica using my recon package to keep tabs on every guard position and relaying them to the other soldiers. Using my silent recon jets to reach the rooftops I unsheathed one of wrist blades and stabbed one of the guards through the throat and then rushed forward looking down to see the JSDF soldiers clumsily making their way to the manor too.

Switching to Infrared I peered into the house and marked where I saw Itami, surrounded by five heat signatures, two of which had animalist features, and one of whom looked like they could see me through the walls which I took as a sign I was compromised. Suddenly the two signatures with the animalist features made their way to the back door which I relayed to Kuribayashi, and I repelled into the attic room sneakily making my way through the halls till I had flanked the two animalistic heat signatures which I found out were a bunny girl and a cat girl. Decloaking and unholstering my SMGs I pointed them at their heads and said, "nice and easy now, I don't want any sounds…where is my brother."

The rabbit girl pointed down the hallway and I nodded and said, "sorry for this" before hitting them over the head with my SMGs knocking them out cold.

Relaying the information, I rushed down the corridor silently placing charges along certain rooms with heat signatures in them, if the Empire wanted to hurt my brother I would hurt them back, before approaching a room with light coming from it. Holstering my SMGs I reached onto my bandolier and pulled off a tear gas grenade flinging it inside and holding the door shut. Letting the tear gas go off I could hear women coughing and even the coughing from the JSDF, I guess they must have made it in here before me.

Crossing my arms and activating my wrist blades I rushed in and immediately bolted at the two women close to my brother ready to slice them to ribbons when Itami shouted, "stand down high inquisitor I am in no harm!"

Shocked I cleared the smoke out of the room to see a girl with red snakes for hair and a woman with black hair taking care of him and feeding him.

This pissed me off as I said, "you bastard!" before unsheathing one of my Kukri knives and throwing it at Itami, nearly cutting his ear off.

Itami looked at me and said, "oh hi brother…where are the two maids sent to aid you with getting through the back door."

Sweating a bit I said, "oh dear I have no idea ummm I didn't see them at all!"

Itami raised an eyebrow and defeated I said, "fiiiine…they're unconscious near the back of the manor."

Leading Kuribayashi to where the two women laid unconscious, I said, "to be fair I had no idea they were friendly, so I did nothing wrong."

Kuribayashi sighed and said, "yeah, yeah I know High Inquisitor" before using smelling salts to revive the two ladies who I immediately apologized to and went back to the room.

Kurata had instantly started to flirt with the cat girl and seeing I was in nonhostile territory I took off my helmet and put it next to the others while also taking off my dober cannon and putting it next to the other guns.

Everyone started to get really chummy with each other and the Maid with snakes for hair came up to me and said, "so you're the brother of that fine man in bed~ you have the same scent as him."

Rory butted in and said, "all though that fine young strapping man may look single Medusa, he is mine so please don't go draining his life."

The medusa bowed and said, "very well apostle of Emroy"

Looking at the old woman who was sitting down next to Rory I said, "I have to go deal with something I'll be right back" before leaving to go and disarm the bombs.

Kuribayashi and the bunny maid, Deliliah followed me and Kuribayashi noticed the explosives and said, "a-are those what I think they are?"

Nodding my head and swiftly deactivating them I said, "if you mean dark legion singularity explosives, then yes Kuribayashi you would be correct, there are 12 of them around the manor."

Kuribayashi looked at me and said, "that many would have killed everyone in here!"

Giving her the coldest of stares I said, "if they had killed my brother after he saved Italica it would have been a mercy compared to the torture I wanted to inflict."

As I disarmed the bombs Delilah decided to make some small talk saying, "so I heard you met with Princess Pina and her first lieutenant Hamilton."

"You mean the brunette right? Yeah, we met Pina and Hamilton" I said while packing away the explosives.

Delilah chuckled and said, "they always give off this air of elegance I am sure you couldn't help but kneel in their presence."

Rolling my eyes I muttered, "yeah but after this I have to now restrain myself from shoving my foot up their asses for this break of the treaty."

Getting a call from Fire team exodia asking if they should start to kill, I said, "negative exodia fire fight is a no go, it was just a misunderstanding head back to base, over."

Finally making it back into the room Itami smiled and said, "yo Jango get over here we're taking a group photo."

Rolling my eyes, I walked over and stood next to Itami on his right with my dober cannon ready when out of the corner of my eye I noticed a woman in a nightgown with blonde ringlets, almost near the same description as the woman who hurt Itami.

Looking at Itami I said, "oi bro the girl who hurt you is here, permission to execute?"

Itami shook his head and said, "negative High Inquisitor."

The girl then walked over and slapped Itami across the face and in response I aimed the dober cannon right in her face and said, "apologize, now."

The lady looked at me and said, "what?"

Coldly I said, "you hurt an unarmed and injured person who is under protection by the treaty so unless you want a face full of plasma apologize!"

The lady looked insulted and said, "how dare you! I am Bozes Co Palesti! Second daughter of the Palesti family!"

I started to rev up the guns railgun feature and said, "I am the high inquisitor from dark legion private enforcement LLC, try me bitch!"

Bozes sighed in defeat and apologized. Suddenly another Maid walked in and said that Princess Pina wished to see all of us.

As we all reached the princess, I looked at the handprint on Itami's face and said, "damn bro she really just bitch slapped you" which earned me an annoyed look from Itami.

As soon as we approached the room Pina instantly saw the mark on Itami and shouted, "alright what is wrong with his face!"

The blonde looked down at the ground and said, "ummm that was my doing your majesty."

This sent Pina into panic attack number 3 as she sulked into her throne, head in her hands sighing in defeat before saying, "oh dear god! How do I explain this, I bet the high inquisitor here would just LOVE to tear the empire apart for that"

Looking at Pina I said, "actually ma'am…nah not really I'm pretty pissed at my brother as well and if it's all the same to you we'd like to take our leave now, and deal with her however you see fit."

Pina still panicked and said, "this is not good! The suns almost out what if we sit down for breakfast, we can talk it out get to know each other better!"

Instantly my stomach started to growl as I hadn't eaten anything since before the battle of Italica so I was starving, and it could be a good idea but Kurata…. MOTHERFUCKING KURATA HAD TO SAY SOMETHING.

"We appreciate the offer Ma'am the thing is…our government has called back the Lieutenant and the High Inquisitor home to report to some of our lawmakers and the Board of directors in the case of the high inquisitor" Kurata said.

Jumping in I said, "however if you're willing to push that breakfast idea back to later date, I would love to sit down with you and your order of the rose and talk it out" while giving Kurata a death glare from under my helmet.

Lelei translated what Kurata said saying, "the JSDF 3rd recon and the high inquisitor are returning to Japan to testify to their senate. And the High Inquisitor said he would love to sit down and have breakfast with you at a later date."

On panic attack number 4 Pina shouted, "to their senate!"

Lelei looked at Pina and said, "that's correct, that's why they're in such a hurry."

Looking back at us Pina had panic attack number 5 and shouted, "wait! I want to-to! I would like to accompany you to alnis hill! I wish to speak to your superior officer, and I must apologize to him for violating the treaty, and if possible, talk to this board of directors from dark legion private enforcement LLC to apologize for not holding my end of the agreed contract. Is that possible Sir Itami and High inquisitor Itami!"

This shocked Itami who shouted, "come with us!"

Looking at Itami I said, "I mean it would be beneficial to us at least to have the princess see what we're capable of…both in terms of war and peace."

Itami sighed and said, "fine but you're doing the paperwork this time!"

Laughing I said, "already done."

Itami groaned and said, "damn you dark legion and your robots!"

Smugly I said, "sorry bro guess you can't really compete with us…. though honestly, I could us a light breakfast I haven't eaten since yesterday and I am famished."

Pina nodded and said, "I could go for something light too, coffee and toast?"

Smiling I nodded and joined the princess for a little bit of toast and coffee while Itami radioed the others to let them know what exactly was going on and to bring around a dark legion jeep for the princess and her consort.

Pina looked at me as I took the bread and unholstered my kukri knife using it to spread warm jam over it.

"So high inquisitor, the JSDF speak of you and your organization as if they are death, which I assume makes you the top superpower of your world am I correct?" pina said eating the bread.

I shook my head and said, "though dark legion has assets other countries haven't even started construction on yet such as space bases or weapons that use singularities or plasma dark legion is relatively small roughly 5 Brigades."

This shocked Pina who looked at me and said, "ONLY 5 BRIGADES!"

Laughing as I sipped a bit of coffee and said, "quality over quantity each solider is lethal alone, put them in a fire team and you got yourselves the best seller, specialize them even further and you got the VIP package, give them unique gear, codenames and training and you got a one man army, that's the mindset we live by, hell you saw just how dangerous Fireteam Exodia was now imagine more like them but even deadlier and with more unique weapons, and you got dark legion private enforcement LLC."

Pina then started to eat and said, "there's that word again, LLC. What does it stand for?"

"Limited Liability Company, if a mission we undertake goes south and we fail we aren't held liable for the incident and in fact get thousands of tax exemptions for it and none of us are held responsible for a bad OP, plus we don't have to follow any known rules set in place by the government" I said while eating.

Bozes looked shocked and said, "so if you wanted."

"We could roll into the special region and nuke the place from orbit without the Japanese government getting mad at us" I chuckled.

Bozes and Pina shuttered, and Pina said, "so this board of directors, what exactly will I be dealing with should I need to talk to them?"

Laying back a bit I said, "well the board of directors is our trustees and shareholders, people who have funded the creation of dark legion and have some sway in what we do, ultimately the final decision does come from doctor Miandi but the board of directors does have some sway but they'll most likely just ask for my performance review if I had operated nobly and if you think a greater dark legion presence would be necessary in the special region" before sipping some tea and getting a response back from Itami that the jeeps were here.

Loading everything up into the jeeps I looked back to see Pina and Bozes loading in with us hesitantly. Guess they were a bit hesitant which made perfect sense.

Delilah shouted, "take care High Inquisitor and please feel free to come back whenever you feel like it!"

I smiled and waved saying, "you just make sure you stay alive long enough to see my return Delilah."

Pina sat close to me in the jeep, and I looked up front as Kurata waved good bye to the cat lady saying, "take it easy Persia, I'll be back soon!"

Persia waved back and said, "I'll be waiting for you."

Kurata shouted, "I love you!"

Itami looked back and said, "got some information for you High Inquisitor came in straight from HQ" before handing me a packet of papers.

Skimming over them while Pina and Rory looked, I said, "well it looks like you won't be attending the hearing Pina, instead you and I will be reporting directly to the board of directors to give them a full report on the special region"

The jeeps then started to move out and as we got closer to Alinis hill Bozes looked shocked and said, "princess I can see it!"

Surprised, Pina looked outside and said, "you mean we're already here! That was fast!"

Pina seemed surprised even more when helicopters and dark legion jets zoomed by, and she saw people doing target practice with rifles and plasma guns.

Stuttering pina said, "what are those staffs! Is every soldier in this army a wizard!" while looking at Lelei.

Lelei shook her head and said, "no ma'am, I can't speak for dark legion private enforcement but they're not using any magic, um those are weapons they call rifles and the ones used by dark legion operatives are called Plasma rifles"

This shocked Pina who said, "those are weapons!"

Lelei nodded and said, "this is how normal rifles work, a small amount of fire is ignited within the cylinder forcing out a small stone at high speed."

I nodded in agreement and said, "as for plasma weapons that small stone just so happens to be shot out using magnets not only heating the stone to a state of plasma but giving it enough force to blow a golf ball sized hole into anyone."

Scared Pina said, "every Japanese soldier whether they be dark legion or not has a weapon like that!"

Lelei nodded and said, "its part of their basic teachings every Japanese soldier is trained to use one, apparently quite well."

Pina started to have panic attack number 6 saying, "they don't even have to be in the proximity of their enemy to take them out."

Lelei nodded and said, "that and the high inquisitor are the reason the imperial army fell."

Itami then looked over and said, "dark legion has been sending all kinds of new weapons and soldiers over High Inquisitor you should really talk to them about toning it down a bit, or at least give us a reason to keep them over here."

I nodded my head and said, "got it but don't forget this is also a business venture for us, there are more wars for land over here than in our world so dark legion is allocating resources to aid in making money for us."

Suddenly a huge tank with a set of four caterpillar treads and a huge plasma railgun cannon zoomed by and charged up a blast of plasma before shooting it at a boulder completely obliterating it. After that it started to zoom by with a group of Japanese tanks following it.

Scared Pina said, "first their flying steel and now steel elephants! They really are creatures from another world!"

"Ahh they even brought in the prototype 45 behemoths; good the behemoths had been gathering dust in New Mexico so it's good to see they're bringing them here for testing" I said looking at the tank

Itami whistled and said, "let me guess, plasma casing?"

I nodded my head and Rory looked at me and said, "speaking of this Plasma I noticed your tiny guns don't fire the same type of shell as your cannon or the weapons used by fireteam exodia can you explain that to me?"

I nodded unholstering my SMGs and said, "sure they could fit Plasma shell casing but then I wouldn't be able to add a silencer to them, as much as I love leaving my opponents in a melted pile of slag making sure my presence isn't known is even better."

Pina started to panic even more and said, "why did they come here, what do they want from us?"

Lelei said, "the empire stepped on the griffins tail."

Bozes looked at Lelei coldly and said, "mind your mouth girl do not speak so casually when the empire is on the verge of collapse."

Lelei commented back saying, "my tribe goes where it please knight, we've never answered to the empire"

Pina leaned back and said, "I suppose you can rule a nation by force, but you can't control what they think no matter how hard you try"

As soon as we made it back to base, I stretched my arms out and said, "now if you excuse me I'm gonna go wash up"

Itami nodded and said, "I'll go report to the major."

Before we could part ways however Pina looked at us and said, "lieutenant Itami, and High Inquisitor while you two are here can I have a moment to speak to you?"

Itami chuckled and said, "sorry I am unavailable I have to attend a couple meetings about meeting with the government stuff" before bolting.

I chuckled and said, "and I was about to go take a shower too" before bolting off too.

Making my way to the shower I washed up, getting rid of the filth and using some new soaps that came in from America.

"Coconut castaway…I mean it smells really good" I muttered using it.

Once I was all refreshed and cleaned up, I walked back to my barrack and was given a report on what would be done. There would be 2 hearings, one of which would be just Itami and the Japanese government and then a second one where it would be Itami, Rory, Tuka, Lelei and myself. During the first meeting however, I would be reporting with Pina and Bozes to the dark legion Tokyo branch for a full meeting with the board of directors along with Doctor Miandi to discuss prisoners dark legion has and any chance of an alliance with the private military. During the second meeting dark legion will provide asset protection while Bozes and Pina meet with the minister of foreign affairs and negotiate release of prisoners they have.

"so, we'll be spending a total of 4 days 3 nights…and its up to me to get travel details all planned out…okay I can do this" I chuckled looking over stuff.

"hmmm asset protection seems like a priority especially since a lot of other private militaries would want to get to Pina…Argus what fireteams are finishing up missions in the other side, list the ones with skills in urban asset protection only" I said making some coffee.

Argus appeared and said, "fire team Bellerophon specializes in this field with their leader Judiciar Andros specializing specifically in counter hacking and information denial."

Rasing an eyebrow I said, "wait Andros, as In Andros Maxwell?"

Argus nodded and said, "he got promoted about a month ago to Judiciar first class for protecting a diplomat to Belarus, shall I deploy them?"

I nodded and said, "yes but wait till I have a schedule planned out" before heading to my computer and booting up excel to make a spread sheet itinerary.

"Okay so first day, that Itami talking with the prime minister alone right?" I said looking over the document.

Argus nodded and said, "yes and during that time you will be taking Bozes and Priness Pina to talk to the board of dark legion directors."

I nodded and said, "okay so that leaves Tuka, Rory, and Lelei unprotected, hmmm tell Itami to bring Kuribayashi and Tomita along with them and get them acquainted to Japan, dark legion will do the funding for that and have Fireteam Bellerophon watch over them from a distance in civilian clothing."

After adding that I looked at the night, "hmmm Argus it looks like we'll be using a bus as a decoy for the day and taking subways to Tokyo for the night…you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"That someone will be waiting to try and kidnap the girls?" Argus responded.

I gave a nod in agreement and said, "have Itami, Kuribayashi and Tomita make a pit stop in Ginsa and stay at Risa Aoi's place for that night with the girls I'll take Pina and Bozes to my apartment, call Maven and let her know I will be requiring her aid."

Argus then brought up files on Risa and said, "Risa's apartment bills haven't been paid for in a week so her apartment isn't up to code with what would be sufficient."

Smiling I said, "I know Argus but Risa is a close friend of mine and my ex-sister in law, we were never on bad terms so I want to drop by and say Hi she always used to worry about my mental health when I first started as a legionnaire so I want to make sure she's doing good, transfer $45,000 to her bank account from my money and let her know it's from me"

Argus nodded and showed my bank account with millions go down a bit from the money I transferred and then he said, "on to the second day."

I nodded my head and said, "that day looks like it will be the important meetings between me, itami, Tuka, Rory, and Lelei and the Japanese ministry meanwhile Bozes and Pina will be meeting with the foreign affairs agents…hmmm doesn't seem like much security will be needed so tell Fireteam Bellerophon to relax and resume once we're on the move, we'll try for the same thing taking alternate routes to Risa's place"

The next day I decided to have for just relaxation, show them all around Tokyo hit up tourist spots and have fireteam Bellerophon on watch for us.

"That night…how about we go to Hakone resort, Argus book us the best suite there and let the Japanese know that will be the place we'll need their help watching too, tell fireteam Bellerophon to fall back and call in fireteam exodia for that mission" I said.

This surprised Argus as he said, "exodia! Why them?"

"Think about it Argus, Risa's apartment has to many witnesses no government agent would be able to get in or out without at least one person seeing them, Hakone resort though…that's private, very private so they could easily lead a small task force in and out without being seen, we need some heavy hitters of our own out there" I said pulling up a list.

"so it looks like Russia, the united states, and China are the major interested powers with Desperado private security from Lithuania and Titan corporation also from America rounding out the private militaries interested in the special region" I muttered.

Argus noticed to and said, "you think they'd send in spec ops for this?"

I nodded my head and said, "I'm not afraid of the CIA, FIS or the MSS getting involved I'm more afraid of desperado sending any member from the winds of destruction…. or gods forbid titan cooperation sending Lagoon company."

Rubbing my chest, I remember what that bitch Revy did to me in Venezuela. I didn't want to run into her or minuano again.

Argus brought it up and said, "you won't have to worry about titan cooperation sending in Lagoon company, they are currently helping a revolution in Panama, as for the winds of destruction the only one available they could send is Sundowner that in itself is an 85% of them sending him."

Groaning I said, "fuck me! If they send him, he won't take the girls alive he'd kill them and let a bloody war break out in the special region, okay instead of fireteam exodia, let Consul-Chaplain Castus know him and his Kill squad are on call, light weapons only, no rockets or heavy explosives."

Argus saluted me and then said, "you know if they fail, they'll send someone the next day…or worse they'll send in a metal gear."

Sighing I said, "yeah I know…and that's what I am afraid of…we'll cross that bridge when we get to it" before printing out the itinerary and making sure the general and itami got a copy before heading to my bunk to find Rory sleeping in my bed.

With a smile got in bed with her and hugged her before going to sleep myself. I better get some sleep the next day was going to be crazy.

The next morning, I woke up to see Rory was gone and she had left a kiss on my lips. Blushing a bit, I wiped it off and got ready for the day dressing in my formal wear including the shoulder cape and got myself some breakfast as well. Making my way to the meeting place I ran into Itami who saluted me and said, "ready to start the mission High Inquisitor."

I chuckled and said, "at ease brother we got this from here."

Looking at Kuribayashi and Tomita I said, "I assume you all read the Itinerary?"

Kuribayashi nodded and said, "yes sir! We'll be with Rory, Tuka and Lelei the entire day we'll keep them safe!"

I then looked at Princess Pina and Bozes and said, "I assume you were told about what's going on today?"

Pina nodded and said, "Mr. Yanagida said we would be going with you for the first day and then we'll be going a group for the rest of the trip, 4 days, three nights three different locations am I correct?"

Whistling I said, "you are correct."

Itami looked at me and said, "are you set for this though High Inquisitor… titan cooperation and Desperado."

I waved my hand and said, "desperado may be an issue, but titan cooperation won't be, I'll handle things brother you have my word."

The gates then opened, and Tuka marveled at it saying, "so this is the gate that leads to another world!"

Rory grinned happily and said, "oh how exciting!"

Lelei gave a determined glance and said, "we aren't going to the other side to have fun Rory"

Rory gave a smug look and said, "speak for yourself kid."

Hesitant Bozes said, "this is it…"

Pina then said, "yes…a country on the other side…come let's go!"
