Damian's POV

"Ancient Earth? So we went back time?" I asked Mash, "I mean, I know that, I'm just making sure." Before she could even answer, we heard someone squealing. She stances herself on the direction of the noise.

"It sounded like a woman, hurry, Damian!" She ran ahead already without me arguing about it.

"You're gonna get us in trouble, Mash!" Reaching to the thrashing, screaming woman, I immediately recognized her.

"Who are you anyways?" Why does this always happen to me?!" Olga screamed and threw some rocks to keep her distance away from a ghoul, "If only Lev was here… I can't take this anymore!" Mash was shocked about Olga's sudden outrage.

"Director Olga Marie?" Mash's voice sounds so clear and loud, both Olga and the ghoul looked at her.

"Mash!" She turns to look at me with disdain, "And you, what in the world is going on?!"

"We'll explain later, director, we must exterminate the threat first." Without a doubt, she faced the ghoul head-on. Something on my hand shines and I looked at it, a symbol of some sort appeared.

"I'm sure you haven't got the gist of what's happening, you are the master of Mash Kyrielight, that symbol or seal rather signifies how the two of you are linked. You can use that to heal your servants fully if they become injured near to death, you can also use that to fill their Noble Phantasm-" Olga stopped midway, "Why am I explaining that to you? Fight alongside Mash!" She threw me to Mash's way and the battle sequence began. She normally attacked the ghoul and it easily evaded her attack, when it fought back, it almost took Mash by surprise. But luckily she shielded herself just in time.

"This ghoul seems to be frisky," I pointed out to Mash.

"How can you tell so?" Mash asked me.

"Look at its stance, if you were to make a move like earlier, it can easily avoid you. The best thing to do is to be quick like them," I told her, "That's all I can say for now." Mash believed what I said and used her shield to propel herself swiftly to the ghoul, catching it off-guard. With a good swing from the shield, the ghoul falls down from the ground and she used her shield to fully crush the ghoul's head. Now that's what we call brutal double-tap. The ghoul disintegrated into ashes and the battle was over, Mash turns around to look at Olga.

"Director, are you hurt?" She asked.

"More likely… what's going on?" Olga eyed her up and down with a critical look.

"Ah, yes, Director… About my situation, to tell you the truth-" She interrupted Mash.

"A Demi-Servant is what you want to say, isn't it? It's obvious right from the bat," Olga scoffed, "What I want to know is how that became successful all of a sudden! And you, you miscreant!" She turns to me.

"How the hell did I get involved in this?!" I retorted back.

"Not only did you interrupted my speech and disrespect me like that, but you also became Mash's master?! Only first-class mages can make contracts with Servants!"

"Hey, listen here you old hag! (mistaken for 'Olga' due to extreme anger and speaking very fast gibberish) I don't care if you're the director of Chaldea or whatever, but if you want to know something, I didn't make a contract with Mash! So you ought to be thankful you're still drawing breath!" I yelled back at her.

"What did you say?" Olga turned to look back at Mash, "Is what this creature saying's true?"

"Yes, you misunderstood, Director. I forced him, so please, allow me to explain in detail. So that there would be no more conflict." As I calm myself down, Mash started disseminating the details spotlessly to Olga. Fou appeared again out of nowhere and sat on my head, it calmed me immediately and I looked at the back of my hand again. The seal is really here, I thought it would be gone once the battle is over. I overheard that Mash finished explaining.

"...That's how we ended up having Master-Servant relationship during the Rayshift, and ended up here in Fuyuki. No other masters were able to shift here with us, and for the record, you're still the first human we have contacted thus far." Mash takes a long pause before continuing, "And this gives us hope, if you're here, Director, maybe some other candidates got teleported here as well." Olga finally understood but shakes her head, I stand to finally get closer to Mash.

"What I'm certain of is that no one actually made it but us," she looked at the far distance before sighing, "I hate to admit it, but I know the reason why we shifted here in Fuyuki." Mash was surprised about Director Olga's revelations.

"So you have an answer as to why we survived?" Olga nodded at Mash's question.

"We all share a common denominator. Neither me, nor you , nor this miscreant of a master 'were actually inside the Coffins'. Although Rayshifting our flesh and blood isn't going to work, it's not also impossible." She sighed, "Even if the coffins have breakers, when the success rate is below 95%, the power will most likely to get cut off."

"Which means…" Mash caught up to whatever the hell Olga is saying.

"Which means they never actually Rayshifted, we're the only ones who are able to." Mash came into agreement with Olga.

"I see, that's probably why you are the director." I can't actually believe that I'll agree with her.

"Yes, and she's very reliable when it comes to her being calm." Olga gives me the same disdain look.

"Whatever do you mean by that? Are you saying that I'm not level-headed?" Before she even go off, she just sighed again, "Whatever, I understand our situation now. Damian, since this is an emergency, I'll approve you and Mash's contract. From here on out, you'll follow my commands."
