B&B OF LOVE AND FUN-8
Hello all. Thank you for all the reviews. I'm having such a good time writing this story, as I hope you have a good time reading it. In the last chapter, Elsie found a place, that she feels that can be their ideal place, but how will her partners in crime react to that? Let's find out...
Elsie was super excited, when she discovered that the place who captured her heart from the first moment, was for sale. She noted a telephone number for the seller and she hurried home, to let Charles know, that she found a place which could be the one...
If she was hoping, that Charles will share her enthusiasm, she got disappointed quickly...
"Elsie, we don't even know what this place looks like inside...I don't understand your excitement..."
"Charlie, I'm aware of that, but the first impression was very good. The house looks like it has enough space and the outside of the building, doesn't seem to indicate, that there are a lot of innovations needed. Of course we haven't seen the inside yet, but I have a feeling, that it can be interesting as well..
"Elsie...I understand your enthusiasm, but as you said recently, we have to think rationally, not emotionally..."
"Charles...Why do you want to take away my excitement? Yes, we need to think rationally, but I do not recall, having that sort of attitude towards your plan in points..."
"That's because my plan was and is rational..."
"That's your opinion Charlie..."
"Elsie...Let's not fight...I'm happy that you are excited, but let's wait with this, till we will see the inside..Where is it precisely?"
"On the edge of the village, very beautiful location, away from the main road, so our guests could enjoy peace and quiet...I have a good feeling about this..My Gaelic sixth sense told me, that this is it.."
"Oh no, not that...I was afraid, that it will turn up...Tell me something Elsie-when exactly before in your life, this magical sixth sense, has helped you with?"
"All right, I will tell you- how about when it helped me to made the decision about becoming your wife.."
"That's not fair Elsie, you know that this kind of argument leaves me without any possible reply...But how exactly it helped you?"
Well, it told me, that by marrying you I'm making the right decision and even though my sixth sense has already predicted back then, that you will be a very nagging, but good husband..."
"I'm not nagging!"
"Oh please Charlie, who are you kidding?"-Elsie smiled warmly and kissed her husband's cheek... "Maybe you can be an angel and you will agree to see this place with me and Mrs Patmore?"
"Of course Elsie, anything for my beautiful and slightly stubborn wife..."
"I'm not stubborn!"
"Please Elsie, who are you kidding?"- Charles smiled deviously and Elsie gave him a light slap in the chest...
Few days later...
Elsie made the call and scheduled a meeting with the owner of the house. Mrs Patmore reluctantly agreed to see it too...They all went together, each one of them, full of different emotions. Elsie was more excited, than when she discovered the house for the first time.
Mrs Patmore was a little bit curious, because for the last few days, she has been listening to Elsie's praises about that unknown house. Charles was least convinced...After seeing quite a few places, he tend to believe, that it will be difficult to find anything slightly connected to what they had in mind...
When they finally got there, both he and Mrs Patmore, were pleasantly surprised with the fact, that the facade of the building indeed looked like it was new..Elsie's excitement increased, when she noticed, that the house made a good, first impression with her companions..
They all waited outside, for the arrival of Mr Lewis, the owner and after a greeting, they all went inside..
Elsie wanted to jump from joy, when she heard from Mr Lewis, that the building has been renovated very recently and that he, himself, intended to transform it into a B&B. The building had a main part, plus two side annexes, which Elsie immediately thought, was a perfect layout- one annex could be their living space, the other one would be for Mrs Patmore and Katie. The main part of the building would be for the guests..
After they had seen all the space, the result seemed to be more than satisfying...Of course not everything was perfect, but the potential was definitely there...
Mr Lewis, as kind as he was, gave them a moment of their own, announcing, that he will wait outside, so they can see everything by themselves and decide...
"Well, what do you both think about it?"-Elsie asked. She wasn't even trying to hide away her excitement.. She was looking at them, with huge hope in her eyes...
"I would say that it's not bad...The kitchen area is very nicely done and I can make something out of it. Of course there would be some small alterations required, but nothing major, I suppose...I can see the potential of this place...No doubt about it..."- Mrs Patmore's words, sounded like music in Elsie's ears...
"I agree...The kitchen seems to be well prepared, the rooms are nice, with lovely views outisde...I knew it, I simply knew it, from the first moment, that I saw this house...Charles what do you think?"
"Well...To tell you the truth, I'm not so sure about it...I mean it's nice, really and I admit, that there wouldn't be many alterations needed, but it doesn't have the number of bathrooms that we wanted to have...The rooms are ok, but there are too many of those, comparing to the number of the bathrooms.."
"We can change that...We discussed before, about the possibility of transforming the room into the bathroom, remember?"- Elsie felt disappointed, that Charles hasn't seen the good sides of the house...
"We did, but it will require some work and money.."
"Mr Carson, we all we aware from the beginning, that it was unlikely to find a perfectly fitted place, the kind which would not require any alterations...I agree with Mrs Hughes...The place seems to be ideally adjusted to our needs.."- Mrs Patmore's enthusiasm surprised Elsie
"But what about the price? Don't you think that it's a little too high?"
"Maybe a little but Charles, but think about it-we will not have to invest money into some big renovation, only some small corrections..."-Elsie wanted Charles to look at the house with her eyes..
"Don't look at me, you are the one who is putting the larger amount of money, so I have nothing to say in that matter..."-Mrs Patmore wanted to be fair..
"Just give me a moment, I will go and check the annexes one more time, I will be right back..."-Charles left the room, leaving two women behind..
"There he goes, looking for more minuses of the property..."-Mrs Patmore thought, that the chances for buying that place by them, are getting smaller..."
"I'm afraid so...I really thought, that he would like it...I was hoping...Maybe unneccesarily.."-Elsie became very sad suddenly...
"Oh don't be sad, he can still change his mind about it..."
"Really? I don't see how that's possible..."
"I know one certain way, that can easily and immediately change his mind about the place, so he would be as willing as we are..."
"Really Mrs Patmore? What is that? Do tell me...!"
Mrs Patmore came closer to Elsie and her voice transferred into a whisper.."You need to convince him, in that special way, doing whatever you are doing to him, in the privacy of your own house, that makes him sing the song all next day long..."- Mrs Patmore had an enormous and very cheeky grin on her face...
"Mrs Patmore! I ask you! You are intolerable, if he could hear it..."
"Fortunately he can't...I'm telling you, it's the only way...Now I will have to excuse myself..I want to take a look at the kitchen one more time..."
Mrs Patmore has swiftly disappeared, just in case, leaving Elsie a little embarrassed with her last remark...When Mrs Patmore got out of her sight, Elsie looked through the window, only to see Charles visiting the garden and looking mistrustfully around...Elsie said to herself very quietly...
"I'm beginning to think, that you maybe right Mrs Patmore..."
Later, that night...
Elsie was giving Charles a sweet kiss on the lips, ending the delightful love act, that has just happened between them...Following Mrs Patmore's advice, she decided to persuade Charles for buying the place, in a way that has been proven very effective in the past...
When they got back to the cottage, Charles was pleasantly surprised, with an outburst of passion, coming from his wife suddenly...Of course he didn't protest at all...He let her give him all the sweet love and passion, that she had for him that night...
"Elsie...That was so good...Perfect..."
"I think so too Charlie...It was indeed perfect, just like the house that we saw today, don't you think?"
"I could assume, that you are trying to manipulate me Elsie, but knowing your pure and kind soul, I just want to think, that the lovely moments we had, was because you love me, not because you wanted to manipulate me..."
"And you wouldn't be wrong my love...I do love you very much..."-Elsie kissed Charles's lips, capturing it in that special way that he adored...Their kiss lasted for a longer while and when it ended Charles said:
"Apparently this is your lucky day Elsie...I'm going to make an offer to Mr Lewis..."
"You won't be sorry Charlie..."
"I have not been sorry of anything, from the day that you became my wife, so I just have to believe you..."
Elsie took his face in her hands and looked him in the eyes, with such great love, that Charles felt, that it was worth to follow his wife's instinct...
That's all for this chapter my lovelies...Our Elsie is quite a plotter, but I think, that Charles doesn't have anything against it, especially after THIS...Luckily Mrs Patmore seems to be on board too, so it looks like they found a perfect place...Hope you liked the chapter. Have a very good week!
