Gate episode 9

Relaxing with a home cooked meal I chuckled and started to talk to Risa and Itami.

"So, Point Veranda…the dark legion super project was it really that great?" Itami asked.

I nodded my head and said, "I had only been to Point Veranda on 5 occasions, but it never ceases to amaze me, so how were talks?"

Itami chuckled and said, "well we secured even more funding for a proper town to be built around Alins what about you?"

Smirking I said, "Dark Legion Private Enforcement is allocating more resources to the special region."

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed Bozes and Pina enjoying some…well they were enjoying Yaoi while Lelei was enjoying her books in a corner.

Tomita then looked at me and said, "so is It true that fire team Bellerophon has been watching over us these last two days?"

I nodded and said, "I can confidently say yes to that, as of tomorrow though we'll be having aid from Consul-Chaplain Castus and his kill squad for tomorrow night."

This shocked Kuribayashi, "wait Castus as in Castus the Blood Wolf?"

I nodded my head and said, "affirmative."

Itami looked a little concerned as he said, "why Castus? Jango is there something you aren't telling us."

I sighed and said, "it's the same reason why the meeting was moved to Point Veranda…. Desperado Private enforcement LLC. They're gonna send Sundowner to take the diplomats."

The name put dread into Itami and Tomita's hearts as Tomita said, "Sundowner as is the wind of destruction? The man who kills before asking questions that sundowner?!"

I nodded my head and said, "yeah that one."

Itami shuttered and said, "if he's involved…Desperado and Titan Cooperation…gods that has me worried, you think Titan Cooperation will send her?"

I shook my head no and said, "Lagoon company is currently in Panama helping to overthrow the government down there, they should be quite busy."

Itami breathed a sigh of relief and said, "thank god, Revy scared me!

That night I slept well and felt Rory cuddling up to me as I did.

Waking up bright and early Itami smirked at all of us and said, "alright time to have some fun!"

Confused Kuriyabshi said, "huh? You got to be kidding me we don't have time to screw around!

Itami got angry and said, "listen my motto has always been you got to work hard and play even harder! And of course, probably eat and sleep in between. Besides if we go where we're supposed to go the threat is still gonna be there! We might as well go where the people are there are more witnesses that way."

Risa then pulled out a full packet of money and said, "Yoji is right its time to go shopping! Its for your own safety!"

Itami looked a little confused and said, "yeah something like that."

Risa then looked at Lelei and Tuka and said, "plus I am sure you need to replenish your fashion supplies."

She then turned to me and said, "and you need some new manga mister!"

Finally, she turned to Kuribayashi and said, "right?"

Kuribayashi stuttered and said, "well when in Tokyo you might as well shop."

Bozes and Pina then approached me and said, "uh actually you wouldn't happen to know a library around here, would you?"

I nodded my head and said, "yeah I think I know some places."

I then turned to Tomita and said, "care to be my back up? You never know which foreign agency will come after us"?

Tomita agreed and itami said, "well alright then, Risa''s team is going shopping while Jango's team is going to a library! Its settled!"

Itami then turned to me and said, "and at 1400 we'll meet at Shinjuku station to head to Hakone."

Risa started to get hyped, but Rory looked unamused.

I looked confused and said, "Rory don't you need to go shopping."

Rory turned her head away from me and said, "I don't need too."

Yeah, no she was jealous…or something was bothering her.

Risa looked at Tuka and said, "you're going right Tuka?"

Rory looked annoyed and said, "I happen to be wearing the formal attire of my lord, anything else would be seen as an insult, okay?"

With a roll of my eyes, we parted ways from Risa's house, and we made our way to the Tokyo central library.

Pina looked shocked at the number of books available and said, "I cannot believe so many books are available to anyone!"

Bozes looked at Pina and said, "Miss we're in a different world."

Out of the corner of my eye my heart sank as I saw her, a ghost from my past. Revy

Looking at Tomita I said, "we have a complication I'll deal with it just make sure the girls get what they need, I'll rendezvous with you at Shinjuku if things go south" before heading out.

Revy seemed to notice me and snickered edging me on to follow her.

"God damn it Revy, why now of all times" I groaned following her till I reached a dark alley.

"No more games Revy, I know Titan cooperation sent you back off they're under dark legion supervision!" I shouted at Revy.

Revy then lit a cigarette and said, "heya fuckface its be a while."

I felt a shotgun at the back of my head and heard Dutch say, "Balalaika sends her regards Paladin, sorry I mean High Inquisitor."

Looking back at the big buff black man I said, "So Sofia Pavlovna is using my old codename now…how is she?"

Revy walked up to me saying, "those scars you gave her finally healed, but she is mad she had to sell her lot in with Titan cooperation instead of staying with Hotel Moscow."

I coldly said, "that wasn't my call, and you know it what happened in Roanapur was supposed to stay between dark legion and the crime family down there I even gave warning to Sofia to stay out of it or she will taste plasma" getting an idea for the situation.

Revy said, "boy this isn't your day is it jango, first you're playing babysitter to diplomats, and now a run in with old friends without your armor or weapons. Ain't that a bitch"

"I thought you were under direct orders from titan cooperation to help with a revolution in Panama. Why stop now the revolution is still going on" I said.

Dutch answered saying, "according to Titan Cooperation's logs we're still in Panama, but Balalaika received some generous funding from hotel Moscow to have us come and collect the diplomats and see just how valuable they are."

I knew Revy and Dutch would be problems and if Benny was involved, he would be a nuisance but nothing I couldn't handle but there was an unknown variable a man was with them dressed in a business suit with black hair fringed down the right side of his face.

"New member to lagoon company I assume" I said looking around.

Dutch nodded and said, "that's right you haven't met the new guy! This is Rock"

I looked at him and said, "you don't want this fight my friend, trust me."

I was about ready to let loose and cut them all, but a police officer walked by and scolded Dutch for carrying a shotgun giving me enough time to blend in and get out of there.

Revy did kill the man but when she noticed I was gone she started cursing saying, "damn I should have blown his brains out when I had the chance!"

Getting in contact with Itami I said, "brother a new player has entered the field."

A bit nervous Itami said, "north Korea?"

I shook my head and said, "negative Lagoon Company, it seems they were bought out by Hotel Moscow once again."

"Pirates! Great just great fine I'll let avenger know and we'll set up a new gameplan okay?" Itami said.

I managed to make it back to Tomita to see he was with the girls.

I made my way up to Tomita and said, "Lagoon Company is in play."

Tomita sighed and said, "damn it, now we got pirates, should we head out?"

I looked around and said, "yes time to meet at the station anyways."

Making our way there Itami and Kuribayashi looked weary, and I managed to put on a fake smile for the group as Risa said, "I think I might have went overboard"

Tuka ran up to me and said, "Mr Jango I got a new bow!"

Lelei looked at us and said, "books are everything."

Rory then looked at me seductively and said, "I got some cute clothes to try on, Jango sweetie wanna help me put them on?"

I chuckled and said, "maybe soon but for now let's make it to the Hakone resort."

We all gave a collective shout and made our way to the resort. Relaxing in the hot spring I used my prosthetic implants to contact Consul-Chaplain Castus and said, "Castus this is High Inquisitor, the holy grail has been filled to the brim and new players have been added to the field are you ready to purge?"

Consul-Chaplain Castus cackled and said, "my men have had their prayers High Inquisitor we are ready, and your armor has been brought from the special region and is awaiting deployment."

"Affirmative Castus, gods be with you" I said sinking a bit into the hot spring water to relax.

Itami and Tomita then joined me in the spring and Itami said, "isn't this nice?"

Me and Tomita agreed but soon itami had to make it awkward saying, "and we're all alone."

This shocked Tomita who said, "uhhhh woah woah sir!"

Itami soon said, "oh get over yourself!"

I chuckled and said, "boy Tomita didn't realize you had a thing for my brother!"

Tomita chuckled and said, "don't even go their High Inquisitor."

Later on in the night we started to get ready for bed, but Itami started to throw a tantrum saying, "waaaahh I wanna stay here till the end of the year I wanna forget about working and get all wrinkly in the bath!"

Suddenly the doors to our room started to bang and Itami shouted, "Tomita Jango!"

Reaching for my bowie knife I had hidden in my yukata I said, "on it!"

But when the doors opened it was Rory and Kuribayashi drunk as hell. Oh, dear god.

Kuribayashi stumbled forward and said, "okay guys you better get your asses in formation pronto!"

Rory then said, "asses now!"

Which shocked all of us and breathing a sigh of relief I sheathed my knife. That night we enjoyed drinks laughs, Kuribayashi punched Itami, Bozes kissed Tomita and Rory…Rory had me to herself as we stared at the moon.

Chuckling I said, "you know it's really too bad…I am sure you would have been quite the knockout in your twenties."

Rory looked somberly at the moon and said, "in another 30 years I will leave this body and I'll make myself look however I please, but by that time I will have lost all the desires and pleasures of the mortal flesh."

Rory sighed and then said, "there's a battle going on out there and I feel that there extremely close, because of all the blood shed I can not sleep, you need to do something about it, High Inquisitor."

Chuckling I blushed a bit and said, "I have a feeling I get where you are going with this."

Rory looked at me with desperate eyes and said, "my urges are in limbo I need you to let me kill them, or you are going to have to satisfy me instead."

I blushed at the sight of Rory and leaned forward to give her a kiss. Our lips locked and for a second, I felt…and peace like the pain I had in my past, the skeletons in my closet, all the shit I went through, never existed. Then…HE showed up with the screams from Castus.
