Been like 2/3 weeks since I updated. But anyways, i was working on rewriting the first couple of chapters. Nothing major changed in them with the exception of the Vassal Vambraces being turned into the Vassal Jewelery Tools. Just think it fits the theme better. Other than that, the first couple of chapters just have small things added into them, along with general spelling mistakes and the likes being fixed.
I will probably go back in the future to rewrite it because i still think i can do better, but... thats a future me issue. Anyways, onto the chapter!
Kurose and Eorna both sat opposite the lady who had offered them a ride. The steps of the Aphelisk outside of the wagon were the only sound, except for the occasional creaking of the wagon.
"So, what were the pair of you doing, hmm? I'll admit, I'm a bit curious." She asked, a smile on her face.
"Oh, well…" Kurose looked towards Eorna, who stared back at him.
"You know, we were… just traveling?" Kurose spoke unsurely.
"Y-yeah! We want to explore the world and all that! Just, discover the beauty of the world, all that sort of stuff, you know?" Eorna would speak with a fake smile.
"Exploring the world? Oh my, that sounds like such a romantic thing to do. Would you two happen to be lovers?"
The suggestion that they might be lovers shocked both the heroes for a moment, leaving them speechless until it finally clicked in their heads.
"What!?" "Eh!?" The pair both shouted in unison, the pair shaking their heads violently.
"Oh? Did I get it wrong? Are you not?" She asked curiously.
"N-no!" Kurose managed to choke out. "We aren't partners. Just… what gave you that idea?" He asked.
"Yeah, what he said!" Eorna parroted.
"Well, it's not often you see just a couple of people in the woods out here, you know? I thought it could have been some sort of honeymoon thing, something that you youngsters are doing these days." She spoke with a smile.
"Well, sorry. But as we said, we aren't a couple." Kurose spoke, with Eorna nodding her head.
"Then is there any other reason you're traveling the world? It can't just be to see the beauty of it, as you said before, right?"
"Well…" Kurose hesitated for a moment, and Eorna chose that moment to jump in.
"Well, it's not just to see the beauty of the world…" she admitted. "It's more to see how everything is before the waves get worse, you know? We don't want to see the world after it's been ravaged by the waves. We want to experience it how it is now."
"I see… I'll admit, it would be better to see the world before the waves destroy any more of its natural beauty, but are you sure the pair of you wish to do this? It will take months, maybe even years of travel to traverse the entire world by foot. And the world is only going to get more dangerous. The heroes can only be in so many places at once, you know?" She asked in a concerned voice.
"We know," Eorna replied. Kurose sat back, letting Eorna take care of the situation. "It's just that we aren't sure when the waves will stop, you know?" She spoke. That earned a nod from the woman, and Eorna continued.
"The waves could last a few months, or they could even go on for years, so we decided we might as well travel the world now, whilst the waves are weaker. It'll give us time to get stronger as well."
"I see. That is fair enough, I suppose. I can't stop the pair of you from doing what you want, but I'd still like to ask that you look out for each other, alright?" She spoke softly.
Before Kurose or Eorna could speak up, she began to speak again. "Oh my… looks like I'm at it again. Acting like a mother, aren't I?" She let out a small sigh at that, looking into the distance.
"It's fine!" Kurose spoke up. "I think we both appreciate the concern you're showing for us, just two strangers you've only now met. We do appreciate it, right?" Kurose turned to Eorna, who nodded.
"Yeah! It's nice, knowing someone else is showing concern about us." She spoke honestly, a small smile on her face.
"I see. I'll admit, I do tend to get overly worried about others, it's a bad trait of mine. I just can't help it. But to hear that you're happy that I'm worrying about you…" She let out a small sniffle before continuing. "Well, it just makes me happy. Not many people care to take any of my warnings."
"Well, we would be glad to hear anything else you have to say. Anything that could help us on our travels." Eorna replied softly.
"Information to help with your travel. I can certainly do my best." She spoke with a smile. "I should probably ask where you are intending on going first."
"Oh, yes. We are planning on heading to Palinfa first. We have never really been out of Ortensca, you see?" Eorna answered.
"I see, well, I suppose I'll have to fix your first mistake then."
Kurose and Eorna both tilted their heads in confusion. What mistake had they already made?
"You were going the wrong direction, you see. If you were to keep following this road straight, well, you would end up at the border with Dajero." The lady spoke with a smile. "Once we get to Horteni, and find you two a map, I'll mark down the quickest path for the pair of you, okay?"
"We would appreciate that," Eorna replied.
They stared at each other in silence for a moment, until Kurose spoke up. "So… What is that out there?" He asked slowly.
"Oh? You haven't heard about Aphelisks?" The lady asked curiously.
"No, I haven't. This is my first time seeing one."
"Well, I suppose I'll have to educate you on the greatness of Aphelisks then!" She declared, making Kurose lean back slightly. Internally, he dubbed her Crazy Aphelisk Lady
"You see, Aphelisks are just the most adorable and loyal creatures! Why, my little Aphy has been with me since I was a young child!" She spoke, a smile on her face. "Why, back when I was still young, like the pair of you…"
She continued to speak on, with Kurose slumping more and more as she continued to speak about just how perfect Aphelisks were. Eorna did nothing to stop her, simply smiling politely, even as she seemed to stare beyond the lady, at something seemingly only she could see.
This continued for the entire ride towards Horteni.
Kurose let out a groan as he finally managed to step out of the wagon. He was happy that they had gotten a ride to the closest village, but the fact that he had to sit through what seemed like a university lecture on Aphelisks had drained him.
Sure, he had learned a few interesting facts about Aphelisks, like the fact that they generated energy by moving, and said energy was stored in the pouch around their neck, which inflated as it got more filled. The Aphelisk could then release said energy either in several, smaller bolts or all at once to cause a major amount of damage.
But to get that sort of information, he had to listen to things like how to groom an Aphelisk, which was to clean its scales with a special liquid called Serenity Cleanser, which gave the black scales on its legs a reflective surface, which the Aphelisk enjoyed.
Kurose let out a small sigh. He didn't want to have Aphelisk facts in his head! Sure, they looked cool, but he wanted to learn more about Vindr Glaedr's! When he had asked about them, she had given him a flat look, as if she had been disgusted by him even saying those words, before continuing to talk about Aphelisks! It was ridiculous!
But still, now that they were in Horteni, it made things a bit easier. They still had the Illuminore and a few of the Electrionite gems, and that would certainly be able to get them a bit of money, at least, the pair hoped it would.
"Alright dears, I'll be here, tending to my little Aphy, all right? Come back when you have got a map." She spoke with a smile.
"We will! See you soon!" Eorna spoke with a grin before grabbing hold of Kurose and dragging him away.
"Right, we should probably start looking for somewhere to sell the Illuminore and electrionite gems, right?" She spoke.
Kurose simply nodded and followed behind Eorna, who started going from stall to stall.
"Hello!" Eorna spoke happily to a person running a stall. "Would you perhaps like to buy some Illuminore?" She asked curiously.
"Illuminore? Why would I want any of that?" the man spoke back questioningly. "Do I seem like a metal worker or blacksmith to you?" the man asked.
"Well, no, but-" Eorna was cut off as the man sighed.
"If you want to sell it, I would recommend going to either Horst, the village blacksmith over there," He pointed towards the outskirts of the village before continuing. "Or go to one of the traveling merchants who has set up here. Though, between the two, I would choose Horst. The merchants don't always offer a fair price."
"Thank you for the information," Kurose spoke politely. The only response he got was a grunt.
As the pair turned to leave, the stall owner spoke up once more. "If you want to show your appreciation, come back when you have got some money and buy some stuff, alright?"
Kurose turned his head, nodding at the man before the pair walked off. The stall owner watched them leave, shaking his head as he did.
"The hell would I need Illuminore for? Absolutely nothing, that's what." He grumbled to himself, before sitting back.
Eorna and Kurose walked through the village, reaching the outskirts easily, following the direction that the stall owner had pointed them in. As they traveled around the outskirts, the faint sound of metal being hit guided them.
It wasn't long before the pair found themselves before the blacksmith's door. Whilst there was no one out front, they could see smoke rising from behind the shop.
Kurose hesitantly stepped into the store, getting started as the sound of a bell was heard.
"Hol' on, I'll be out there soon!" A gruff voice called out.
Eorna stepped in after him, looking around the shop. Kurose took the chance to look around as well. There seemed to be a few swords hanging on the wall, some of them covered by shields with ornate patterns.
"Ah, I see yer lookin' at my wares already." The same gruff voice spoke. Both Kurose and Eorna jumped slightly, and the voice spoke up.
"Apologies didn't mean to scare yer. Welcome to my fine establishment, home to the best weapons on this side of Ortensca. The name's Bosco." He introduced himself, bowing slightly.
"How can I help the pair of yer?"
"Oh, well…" Kurose looked towards Eorna, who spoke up.
"We were wondering if you would be willing to buy some Illuminore from us? Maybe even some Electrionite? We have no use for it, and figured it would be better off with a blacksmith."
"Illuminore? Hmm…" Bosco seemed to perk up more at the mention of Illuminore than the Electrionite. He seemed to think about it for a moment before nodding his head.
"Sure, I'll buy the Illuminore from you. But not the Electrionite. Stuff is far too annoying to work with, always zapping you whenever you try to do anything with it." Bosco explained, even as Kurose let the small Electrionite gems rest in his pocket. Maybe he could use them for his gem equip method then.
"Put the Illuminore on the table." Bosco motioned towards the table in question, and Eorna and Kurose both did as asked.
Once it was all on the table, Bosco looked it over, lifting several pieces of it, muttering to himself as he did so, before he turned towards the pair.
"Looks like a good amount. Quality is decent and I can make some good stuff out of this. I'm willing to offer…" he seemed to think for a moment before resuming. "5 Sika coins."
Eorna's eyes widened at that. If Kurose had to take a guess, that was probably quite a lot.
"5 Sika coins, seriously? Is this all worth that much?"
Bosco nodded at that. "Indeed they are. Takes plenty of effort to mine Illuminore, if anything, you're saving me money by having bought it here. And in decent condition to boot. So, do you accept the offer?"
Before Kurose could respond, Eorna nodded her head. "Yep! Yep, we do!"
Bosco clapped his hands together. "Fantastic! Now, I'll go get yer money. Just stay out here, and I'll be back soon. Feel free to look at my wares."
With that said, Bosco moved to the back of the store, humming as he did.
The pair stared at each other for a moment before splitting. Eorna went over to look at the daggers hanging up on the wall, whilst Kurose looked to see if there was anything that might qualify as an accessory.
It wasn't likely, but it was still worth a look. That's how Kurose rationalized it anyways. He let his gaze wander, seeing several shields hanging on the wall, swords crossed behind them.
Nearby were several armor stands, showcasing various armor sets, ranging from basic leather, up to some sort of metallic armor. Before he could touch the armor, a voice spoke up.
"Alright. Here's your money. 5 Sika coins, as I promised." Bosco set the small pouch down on the table, and both Eorna and Kurose came over quickly.
Eorna opened up the bag, checking over the coins before nodding her head.
"Thank you for this!"
Bosco simply shook his head, responding as he did. "No, thank you for this. I do appreciate the Illuminore. As I said, it saves me a decent amount of money than having to order some. Especially now, with how expensive it's starting to get thanks to these calamities. Anything else you need from my humble store?"
Eorna attempted to speak up, but before she could, Kurose interrupted her. "Yeah. Could we get some armor? We're going to be traveling soon, so I'd prefer for us to be prepared for it."
Bosco nodded his head as Eorna simply stared at Kurose. The Accessory hero simply refused to meet her gaze.
"Some armor… that I can do. Looking at the pair of you, neither of you is going to want heavy armor. What do you fight with? So I can get a better idea of what to give you."
Kurose stiffened at that. He hadn't been expecting that sort of question. He thought that he would just go along and give them some armor that would fit them perfectly. It was never like this in any shows he watched!
"I fight with a dagger!" Eorna volunteered happily, giving Kurose time to think.
"A dagger, eh? Alright, I can work with that. You'll want some armor that won't limit your movements, but also provide enough defense to let you take a couple of hits here and there… Let's see…" Bosco wandered over towards the armor stands, moving them to the side slightly as he looked for something.
Kurose uses this time to think of his lie.
I could say that I mainly use Charmes to fight, but then he might insist on me taking a weapon, and I can't do that…
"Do you know your measurements?" Bosco asked Eorna, who responded immediately.
"Yup! I do. I'm…"
He tuned out what Eorna was saying, still thinking of what he could say.
Maybe I could say my attack stat is so low I was never taught how to fight with a weapon. Yeah, that could work…
"Right, well I've got nothing in your size currently, but I can certainly modify something to fit you. Only issue is it will cost a bit more than usual."
"Yeah, that's fine! Also, whilst you're helping my friend out here, do you have any more daggers I could look at? I saw the other ones you had near the front of the store, but wasn't sure if you had anymore."
"Sure I do. Just over there, positioned next to the bows and arrows. Feel free to look through them as much as you want. If you have any questions about them feel free to ask them."
Eorna nodded her head, thanking Bosco again before moving away to look at, and most likely copy, the daggers he had.
Bosco, unaware of what she was planning, instead turned to face Kurose.
"Right, so what do you fight with then? Can't see any sort of sword or anything on you."
"Ah, well I use Charmes because-"
"Ah, you're a Charme user, eh? No need to tell me more. Not even gonna bother you about accepting a proper weapon. I know how stubborn you lot can be."
Kurose stared at him as he moved from behind the counter again. Were Charme users really so stubborn in this world? His teacher hadn't seemed like the stubborn type. Then again, he was also unbothered by some otherworldly train destroying part of his house, and several explosions from Charmes, so he probably wasn't the best reference for a normal Charme user in this world.
"Right, you're probably going to want some sort of armor that you can slot Charmes into right?" Bosco asked.
"Well, I was thinking about that for a future set of armor, but right now, I only really need something basic, a bit like Eorna had?"
"Ah, something like the girl huh? Yeah, that makes sense. You'll be wanting to move around quite a bit after all. I could do that. Do you have your measurements?"
Kurose shook his head. The last time he had taken any sort of measurements was when he was 13, which was 5 years ago.
"I see. Would you mind if I took your measurements then? Or have you got anyone else able to take your measurements?"
"It's fine for you to take my measurements!" Kurose responded quickly.
The only person he really trusted to take his measurements was Eorna, but considering she was copying weapons to get stronger, she was unavailable. So the next best choice was the man who was going to be sorting out his armor.
"Right, just let me go get my stuff, and I'll be back soon." He quickly moved away, going to the back of his store to pick up whatever he needed to measure him.
It didn't take him long, with Bosco immediately starting to get to work. He measured every part of his body that was needed before stepping back, thinking.
"Hmm, I have a set that nearly fits you. I'll just need to rework it slightly to fit you. You aren't desperate for this armor right?"
Kurose let his eyes wander over to the timer in the corner of his vision.
05:22:47
So The wave will probably start around midday, going by this timer, so…
"We will probably be leaving in about 5 days. Just because we want to get on with our journey, you know? It's just for now, we want somewhere safe to stay."
"5 days… Yeah, I can get it done by then. In fact, I could probably get it done earlier. Come back in… three days? Yeah, three days. Should be done by then."
"Great! How much is it going to be?"
"Well, since it's not making a full set of armor from scratch, it'll cost a bit less. I'd say… 1 Sika for both of them if that's fine with you?"
Kurose didn't know how to answer. He had no idea how the value of money worked here in the slightest. He could be getting ripped off for all he knew.
"That should be fine, but could you let me talk to my friend first? Just to make sure she's fine with it?"
"Sure. I'll just be waiting here."
"Thank you." Kurose bowed towards Bosco, before moving in the direction Eorna was in.
"Eorna?" Kurose called out.
"I'm here Kurose!" She called back.
He followed the sound of her voice, watching as she put down a dagger, smiling as she did.
"There are so many good daggers here!" She spoke in a quiet, but excited voice. "I've already got a few new skills I can't wait to try out!"
"That's good," Kurose replied with a smile. "You'll have to show me when we do go out to level."
"Yup! I'll make sure to do that! But Why'd you need me?" She asked curiously.
"It's about the armor. He said he could have it done in three days, and it would cost 1 Sika coin for it. I'm…" Kurose hesitated to admit it before he spoke."...not sure about the worth of everything here, so I wanted to come and ask you."
"1 Sika for two sets of armor… that sounds good to me. That's not including the value of everything I've copied as well, so it's more than worth it."
Kurose nodded at that, even as Eorna opened up the small pouch, taking out one of the coins.
"Let's go pay him. Then we can get out of here and get some more levels!"
"Shouldn't we get a map and check to see if there's an Inn or somewhere we can stay whilst we are here before that?"
"Oh yeah! I forgot about that." Eorna replied, a smile still on her face.
Kurose simply sighed as she went back to the desk, with him following behind.
"I take it that you were fine with the price?" Bosco asked as they came to the desk.
"Yup!" She spoke with a smile, her hand reaching into the small bag that held their meager funds. She put it on the counter, and Bosco took it easily.
"Oh, also! How much would that BoomBurst dagger cost to buy?"
"That? Why'd you want it? The last person who tried using it hurt themselves pretty badly with it." The man asked, staring at Eorna.
"Well, it just looks like a good weapon! And considering it was under everything else, it isn't like anyone else is going to buy it, right?"
"Hmm, I suppose that's true. Not many people want to work with it, considering its nature, but I guess you can buy it. That'll add an extra half a Sika onto your bill though."
"Yup, that's fine!"
"Anything else you wanna ask about before I take any more money?" He asked.
"Well…" Kurose began slowly. "You wouldn't happen to know where maps are sold, would you? We want one just to plot our journey and that."
"A map? Well, I'm not sure anyone in the village sells maps, and most aren't likely willing to part with them…" He seemed to think it over for a minute before speaking again. "I suppose I could give you my map. Not like I ever leave the village anyways, and I'm sure you'll put it to better use than it gathering dust."
"Thank you so much!" Kurose spoke, bowing slightly. "How much will it cost?"
"Eh, the price for the map? Just take it. If you really want to do something, come back here sometime and tell me about your journeys I suppose." Bosco spoke with a shrug. "As I said, I rarely leave the village, so I'd love to hear tales from around the world."
"Sure," Kurose spoke. "I'll make sure we come back from time to time and give you some tales, alright?"
"That's good. You're both good people. Stay safe out there, alright? I don't want to hear about anything happening to you before this armor is done!"
Once they were finally out of the Shop, Kurose turned to Eorna, asking a question immediately.
"Why'd you buy the dagger?" He asked. She had already copied it, so there was no point in buying it right?
"Well, you know, it gave me a skill, and I thought that if you absorbed it, you'd be able to get a good weapon form as well!"
Kurose looked at her for a moment. "Can… Can I even absorb that dagger?" He asked, confused.
"We won't know until you try, will we?" Eorna replied with ease.
Kurose slowly took the dagger from her, holding it towards the gem of his weapon. Again, it began to glow, and Kurose let the weapon absorb it.

"Huh, that worked. I didn't really expect it to." Kurose admitted. He quickly swapped to the bracelet. The inside of the bracelet was smooth, just like any other bracelet weapon form he had unlocked, but the part of the bracelet facing away from him was more jagged.
"Eorna, do you know what C means for a special effect?"
"C?" She asked questioningly "No idea. But is it at least a good weapon form?"
"Yeah, it seems like a good weapon form. I kind of want to go try it out just to see what the special effect does…" Kurose replied. "But we have to at least go back to…" He thought about it for a moment before continuing again. "...The Aphelisk lady. We never got her name."
Eorna thought about it for a moment as well. "Huh, you're right. We didn't get her name, did we? I've just been referring to her ask kind lady."
Kurose bit his tongue in response to that. He wasn't going to say that he had been referring to her as Crazy Aphelisk Lady. "Well, when we do go back, we should probably get her name." He didn't want this to turn into a habit. It had already happened before with Karuk, after all.
"Right, let's go and get her name, then we can sort out our journey!"
Eorna cheered, and the pair set off again.
The duo reached the center of the village in no time, finding the Aphelisk-obsessed lady tending to her pet.
As the pair walked up to her, she turned around, noticing them.
"Ah! Welcome back, did you get what you needed?" She asked with a smile.
"We did. We sold off some of our stuff, got some armor and a map." Kurose listed off the stuff, and the lady nodded.
"That's good, that's good. But I'm assuming you're back here for me to sort out a path for you?"
"We are, miss…" Eorna entered the conversation, obviously fishing for her name.
"Oh, I never introduced myself, did I?" She spoke with a giggle. "Well, my name is…" She seemed to think it over, as I'd she couldn't remember her name. "...Jemma, my apologies for not telling you sooner."
"It's fine Miss Jemma! We only realized when we were coming back, it's kind of our fault for not asking!" Eorna spoke
"Ah, please don't call me miss, it makes me feel old!" She spoke, and Eorna rushed to fix it.
"I'm sorry, is it fine if I just call you Jemma then?"
"Of course dearie, Jemma is fine! But enough of that, let's see the map!" She motioned for them to lay the map down on the back of her wagon, and she looked at it.
"Let's see… you said you wanted to see the most beautiful places, correct?"
"Yes, that's right," Kurose answered.
"Well, Torens is always good, they have a lovely lake… but it's so far out of the way… oh my. Maybe you could make it there on a return trip…"
She began to mutter to herself, slowly drawing small crosses onto the map. This continued for a full five minutes, during which Kurose and Eorna both stared over her shoulder.
"Right… This should be fine. It'll take you only through a couple of villages, but I can promise you they are kind to travelers, at least based on my own experience. Plus, it is the quickest route to reach Palinfa."
The pair looked at the math, following the path she had drawn out.
Kurose had been concerned that she might put the capital as the fastest way through the country, but he was wrong.
The path was a bit curved, with small bits of writing being scribbled onto the map, and whilst Kurose couldn't read it, he had a feeling Eorna would probably, so he would have to ask her when it came to it.
"Thank you for this," Kurose spoke, a small smile on their face. At least this way, they had an idea of where to go.
"It's no issue dears, it's called just being kind!" She responded. "I'd be a horrible person if I just left two young travelers out on the road."
"But still, we do appreciate it. You didn't have to help us plan out our travels." Kurose spoke, smiling at Jemma.
"Well, it's fine. So long as you promise to stay safe and take care of each other, I'll be happy."
"I'll make sure to take care of him!" Eorna jumped in, a smile on her face.
"You, take care of me? You can barely even remember the important things."
"And? That doesn't mean I can't take care of you still!"
They began to argue with each other, but anyone could see it wasn't serious.
"Well, you two," Jemma spoke, clapping her hands together. "I will be taking my leave soon. I'm afraid my journeys cannot end now, I still have so much to do!"
"Really? You aren't even going to rest here for the night?"
Jemma shook her head. "No, I don't think so. I much prefer sleeping under the night sky, seeing the stars above me, and having Aphy here curled up next to me."
"Well, if you're sure…" Eorna spoke. "But if you're telling us to be safe, then you had better stay safe yourself! We are going to want someone to tell us all about the sights we have seen!"
"I will stay safe. I'll be looking forward to meeting you two again." Even as she spoke this, she was in the process of attaching Aphy to the wagon again.
Once that process was done, she sat herself in the front, turning herself slightly.
"Take care you two. I'm sure your journeys will be kind to you. Our paths will cross again, that I can assure you."
Even as the Aphelisk began to move, she spoke one last set of words.
"May good fortune rule over your sky, young he-" She caught herself before speaking again. "Young travelers!"
The pair waved her off, but Kurose couldn't get what she had said out of his mind. What was she about to say instead of young travelers?
The next few hours were spent doing basic things. With their budget of 3 and a half Sikas, they were able to afford a room at the Inn for the next 5 days, ensuring that they would be gone just before the wave happened to ensure they didn't blow their cover as heroes.
They also bought some sleeping bags for a small price, which Kurose was thankful for. It meant that when they did leave they wouldn't have to sleep on the floor with nothing protecting them.
Right now, the duo was in their shared room at the Inn.
"Eorna?"
"What's up?" The dagger hero responded quickly.
"Just wanted to check, if we aren't going to be selling the electrionite, do you mind if I use it for my method?"
"Your method… Oh! I keep forgetting you have four of them. Sure, we need to be as strong as we can, so if we aren't going to be able to sell them, you might as well use them to grow stronger."
"Great, thanks."
Kurose opened his menu, studying his weapon forms. He didn't have a good idea of which weapon form to equip one of the few gems to, but it would probably have to be his strongest one for the time being.
There was a clear choice for the strongest weapon, and that was the BoomBurst Bracelet.
He quickly opened it up, checking over it once again. Whilst its abilities weren't unlocked, it should still be fine.
He slowly tapped on the screen, watching as the gem slots expanded. The only issue he had was that it said it had no gems currently.
Did they have to be inside the weapon or something? Kurose tested it out slowly, letting one of the gems be absorbed into the bracelet once more. As he expected, it popped up, saying that 1 gem was available.
He clicked on the gem, confirming that he wanted to equip the gem.

Electricity resistance could be good, but he had yet to fight anything that used electricity. Then again, if there were wild Aphelisks, this would probably be his best weapon form for fighting them.
He absorbed a majority of the gems into his weapon, leaving only two out. Maybe he could find someone to eventually make them into a bracelet or something else.
"Kurose?* Eorna spoke up.
"Yeah?"
"I'm bored."
"Same here. What do you want to do?"
Eorna was silent as if thinking of what the pair could do before speaking up again.
"Well, we did just get some new skills. We could go test them out, and try to level up some more."
Kurose thought about it. It was best to figure out what their new skills did, plus leveling up was never a bad thing.
"Sure, let's go do that then," Kurose spoke, sitting up. Eorna sprang up from the bed.
The pair quickly made their way out of the village and towards the forest.
And time passed.
