Melinda struggled under the demon's grip as she felt scared for her sudden situation. The being almost looked happy to see her as he smiled wickedly. From his robes, a locket appeared from around his neck, shining almost glowing in her presence but that could also be her tears brimming. Melinda looked back up to the man as she grabbed onto his wrists, mentally gagging at how old and leathery they felt. Melinda waved out her other hand as two of the potions orbed and hit the demon in the eyes.

The demon yelled out as he staggered away, giving Melinda time and breathing room to gasp for air. She watched as the demon was engulfed in flames but he didn't seem to be phased. At the last minute, the flames swirled around and got locked into the locket around his neck.

"Did you honestly think that that would work?" he asked, "Anastasia?"

"Th- That's not my name" Melinda stammered.

"Not now" he agreed, "But back then-"

Millions of white shining lights surrounded her as now this demon seemed scared of what was happening to her. He lunged at Melinda at the last second but even she knew he did it too late. His image disappeared as her two older brothers and her parents came into view as she was teleported back to the attic in the Manor.

"Oh, thank God" Melinda breathed out.

"Melinda, what the hell do you think you're doing?" Leo demanded, "Going to a demon's lair when we told you not to!"

"I wanted to prove myself" Melinda argued, "To show that I am a Halliwell just as much as them"

"That demon was very dangerous" Piper yelled out, "He nearly killed us!"

"I know" Melinda slammed her mouth shut before she finally confessed, "I saw"

"You saw…" Leo said slowly, "How long were you there for?"

"Just a couple of seconds" Melinda reached up and touched her throat as she tried to clear it.

"Wyat, heal her" Piper demanded.

The eldest brother didn't waste any time as he walked up to his sister and hovered his hand over her bruised neck. Even though they all looked pissed, Wyatt's face softened a bit when he noticed her bruise and even being close to her, he gave her a sympathetic look. Wyatt was always the one with the softest approach and seems to always be the one comforting her first. She glanced over to the other three as Chris seemed to mimic how angry and disappointed he was at Melinda. The soft yellow glow was gone as Wyatt went back to the group that formed around Melinda in a semi-circle.

"You do realize that if your brother hadn't orbed you out of there, you could've been killed," Piper said.

"Yes-"

"We told you that we would bring you along to the next demon hunt" Leo reminded her, "And you disobeyed us-"

"Because you said that last time-"

"You don't have active powers, Melinda" Piper reminded her, "Just hovering, telekinetic orbing, and empathy, which makes you vulnerable"

"Aunt Phoebe has mostly inactive powers and yet she was relied on" Melinda argued.

"That's because we're the Charmed Ones-"

"And I am a daughter of a Charmed One-"

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Piper screamed out.

Everyone, even Leo was stunned by the sudden outburst. Melinda wasn't prepared for her mother to yell at her the way she did but she closed her mouth as tears formed her eyes. She had just come back from almost being killed by a demon and this is what is happening? Her mind went back to the evil being as he had seemed to remember her from before. Instead of telling her family what she had learned while they were away, she kept it to herself in an act of defiance.

"You are grounded" Piper said, "You seem to have it in your head that you want to be a part of this dangerous life. A dangerous life that both your father and I have been trying desperately to keep you away from. I hate to say this but… we are going to bind your powers"

"What?! Dad!"

"Mom!"

"You can't be serious?!"

"Honey" Leo turned to Piper, "We never discussed this"

"I know" Piper said, "But it's the only way to keep her safe"

"I'm all for grounding Melinda for going out by herself" Chris finally spoke, "But binding her powers when this guy has seen her face is not a good idea"

Piper looked to Chris squarely before she said, "The three of you are dismissed, your father and I have a lot of things to discuss concerning Melinda"

Piper and Leo both turned to walk to their room to converse about Melinda's punishment but Piper stopped and looked back to Melinda. She was almost pouting from hearing that she would have her powers stripped. Piper suddenly softened as she moved to say that it would only be temporary, a week at most but Melinda turned and ran out of the room. Chris and Wyatt both exchanged looks before they slowly followed where Melinda disappeared to. They found her in her room, holding her pillow and crying by the window.

"I'm sure she didn't mean it, Mels" Wyatt began, "You just scared her"

"Yeah" Chris agreed, "You scared all of us. Dad'll calm her down though"

"She was always against having our powers stripped" Melinda sniffed, "And now that's her punishment?"

"We don't really know that" Chris explained, "She hates the idea, probably even hated that it came out of her mouth as well"

"The point is," Wyatt said, "You shouldn't have gone there. This demon is on another level, even I have a problem with fighting him. You had no idea what you were up against"

Melinda sniffed as she remembered how he took two of her most powerful potions in stride and wasn't even burned by them. She looked down to her hands as she wondered if her father would agree with her mom on her punishment. Her mind drifted back to the demon as she almost felt as if she had seen him before but she also had a sense telling her that he was dangerous and soon she would be hunted.
