On Monday evening, Olivia, Chris, and Daniel all came to the CBI so they could walk with the team to an Italian place up the street.

"Where's Michelle?" Lisbon asked Olivia once they were out on the sidewalk.

"She's at ballet, then going to dinner with her friends," Olivia told her. She sighed a little. "Part of me wants to keep her chained to my side until the end of time, but Daniel convinced me I should let her go. She needs to be around her friends to feel safe again."

"I'm glad she's feeling ready to get back out in the world," Lisbon said. "That's a good sign."

"One thing I don't get," Rigsby said to Chris, walking a few feet ahead of them. "If you're all identical, how come you're the only one with glasses?"

"Because he's a scaredy cat," Daniel said from just behind them.

"We all had terrible vision as kids," Chris told Rigsby. "But Patrick and Daniel are vain. They both got LASIK surgery the minute they could."

Daniel snorted. "Please. Like you don't spend as much time meticulously crafting that surfer look and trimming that beard of yours than Patrick and I ever did on our hair or clothes."

"Were you not eligible for the procedure for some reason?" Van Pelt asked Chris.

"Nah, I was eligible," Chris said, unconcerned. "But I wasn't about to let a bunch of frauds in white coats point lasers into my eyes." He shuddered at the thought.

"Man's got a point," Cho said. "Lasers and eyeballs shouldn't mix."

"It's perfectly safe," Daniel protested. "Thousands of people get the procedure done every year."

"So are glasses," Chris said. He half turned and winked at Lisbon. "Besides, women like the glasses."

Lisbon rolled her eyes at him.

Jane glared at him and stepped closer to Lisbon. "Let's get a move on, shall we? We don't want to miss our reservation."

As they kept walking up the street, Van Pelt asked Daniel, "So, are you headed back to L.A. soon?"

"Yeah," Daniel said. "But I thought I might stick around for a few days." He cleared his throat. "Look for apartments in the area."

"Really?" Van Pelt asked.

"Yeah." He looked at Olivia. "I'm, uh, thinking about moving up here, actually."

Olivia smiled at him and took his hand.

"What about the seat you're running for?" Rigsby asked him.

Daniel shrugged. "I'd have to be up here half the time anyway when the state legislature is in session. And if I lose, I can always run for a seat up here next term."

"Well, if both my brothers are going to be up here, I guess I'd better start thinking about moving here, too," Chris said cheerfully. "Of course, I won't be able to go surfing every day anymore, but on the plus side, it's much closer to Tahoe and Yosemite, and I can get to Stinson in two hours."

Cho stopped dead in the middle of the sidewalk, causing the rest of the group to stop as well. "Three identical Janes in Sacramento?" He looked around suspiciously at Chris, Daniel, and Jane. "Dear God. You're going to be playing tricks on the rest of us constantly, aren't you?" He said it flatly, more a statement than a question.

The three brothers exchanged mischievous smiles.

"Who, us?" Chris said innocently.

"We would never," Daniel said in a tone of affected shock.

"Absolutely not," Jane agreed.

Cho looked at Rigsby. "You're doomed."

"Me? What about the rest of you?" Rigsby said, affronted.

"Come on, Jane gets one over on you ten times as often as he does the rest of us," Cho argued. He paused. "But yeah, we're all doomed. You're just—extra doomed."

"I thought you were more worried about having a Jane in politics," Rigsby grumbled. "He's not gonna have time to play tricks on us when he's busy voting on stuff."

"Jane finds time to play tricks on us between catching criminals," Cho said darkly. "He'll find a way. They all will."

"Seems to me that if we do have a Jane in politics, we ought to be spending our time persuading him to fight for the things we care about rather than put ourselves on the defensive," Lisbon said mildly. "He'll be conning the rest of the legislators to his way of thinking before we know it. Might as well have him in our corner."

"Good point." Cho clapped a hand on Daniel's neck in a not-quite-menacing but not-quite-friendly sort of way. Daniel, startled, let go of Olivia's hand. Cho bent his head towards Daniel's. "About the state of infrastructure in this state—"

Daniel, chagrined, allowed himself to be commandeered by Cho, casting a helpless look back at Olivia. Olivia waved at him encouragingly and fell into step beside Chris, chatting amiably.

Lisbon and Jane fell into step behind the rest of the group. Lisbon threaded her fingers through Jane's. "So, your brothers are moving to town."

"So it would seem," Jane agreed. He tried to play it cool, but his happiness was palpable.

"Lotta change on the horizon."

Jane brushed his thumb against the back of her hand. "Change can be good."

"Three Janes in one place." Lisbon shook her head. "Cho's right. I'm not sure Sacramento is ready for this."

"Hey," Jane said, tugging on her hand to get her to stop for a moment. He looked down at her with affection. "Now that there are going to be three Janes around, don't you think it might be time to start calling me Patrick? Just so no one gets confused."

"I could probably manage that level of change," Lisbon conceded. "Any changes I can expect from you in turn?"

"What do you have in mind?"

She reached up and traced her finger along his jaw. "I don't suppose you'd consider growing a beard."

The look on Jane's face was priceless.

Lisbon laughed. "Come on," she said, pulling him by the hand. "We need to catch up with the others. No one's warned Chris and Daniel yet about accepting an offer to split an appetizer with Rigsby."

They walked up the street hand in hand, on the way to share a meal with the people they loved.
