Issei and Violet climbed down the lighthouse and started to continue down the path. There was no sign of Nemona so it seemed she had rushed off ahead. Before they could go any further Violet stopped Issei. "Wait a second," she said. Issei turned confused wondering what was wrong. "You haven't healed Riosei yet."
"Is there a way to? Cause I don't have any healing powers or anything," said Issei as he thought about how helpful Asia would be right about now.
"Oh! That's right, you don't have any potions or anything. Here let me use some of mine. It's the least I can do since Riosei protected Miiku," she said as she fished out some potions from her bag. Issei called out Riosei, who wasn't steady on his feet. As Violet was going through her bag Miiku came out of her ball on her own and ran up to Riosei. Miiku clearly had concern on her face as she tried to help steady Riosei, but Riosei just gave a small smile and patted Miiku's head in a reassuring manner. Issei watched as Violet applied the potion to Riosei and nodded in understanding when he saw how to apply first aid. "There, all done," said Violet. She then reached out and pet Riosei. "Thank you Riosei. If it wasn't for you, Miiku would have been really hurt." She looked down at Miiku with a mix of sadness and self-loathing. "If we were stronger this wouldn't have happened."
Issei had seen this line of thinking before and wanted to stop her before she went down a dark path. "You can't blame yourself for what happened. You're a new Trainer just like me, and even though Riosei and I have a fighter's spirit we still couldn't do anything either. We were in a situation out of our control and that we had no way of preparing for. It wouldn't be the first time I was in this kind of situation, and what I've learned from my own experiences is that if you don't want it to happen again then you must grow stronger so that it won't happen again." said Issei with a serious look in his eyes. Violet saw this look and felt something behind his eyes that she never saw in another person, although she didn't know what it was. She nodded at what Issei said and he gave her a reassuring smile. After that they decided to continue forward.
They were coming up on a bridge when a kid called out to them. "Hey, let's battle!" he said while holding a Poké Ball. Issei and Violet looked at each other and then back at the kid, both pointing at themselves. "Whoever is fine! I just wanna battle!"
"Is this a normal thing?" asked Issei.
"Yes, Trainers wander every region and it's not out of place to be challenged out of the blue," said Violet.
"I see, then I'll take you on! My partner needs a good battle to pick himself up," said Issei confidently.
"All right! I'm Elian, and I plan on winning!" said the Youngster.
Youngster Elian sent out Taroluntula while Issei sent out Riosei. "Riosei use Bullet Punch!" Riosei's paws glowed silver, and he rushed in faster than Taroluntula could react and was hit with a barrage of punches. After that the small spider Pokémon was down. Issei was a bit surprised that it was already over. "Wait, that's it?" he said quietly to himself.
Youngster Elian recalled his Pokémon and had a sad look, which made Issei feel kinda bad. "Your Pokémon are strong, huh!" After that he walked up and gave Issei 220 Pokédollars which only made him feel worse, but Violet patted his back and told him it was fine.
After that the pair continued down the path, crossing the bridge and catching some more Pokémon along the way. Issei went out of his way to catch some Pokémon he thought the others would like. He planned on taking care of them and bringing them back as gifts for making the others worried. Violet was also catching more Pokémon, but Issei could tell she was fighting more seriously than before because she ended up beating some of them and causing them to run away before trying again to capture them. Eventually the pair made it to the edge of town where Nemona called out to them. "Oye, Issei, Violet! Over here!" The pair walked over to her and when they got there, they heard a little jingle from the stand next to them. "This here's a Pokémon Center! You can come here to take care of a lot of things related to your Pokémon. But I'll leave the explanations to the pros here." she said looking at the lady behind the desk.
"Happy to be of service–and welcome to the Pokémon Center! I'm Nurse Joy, and I'm here to keep everyone's Pokémon healthy. Here on my left is the Poké Mart counter! You can buy things like Poké Balls and Potions."
"Hello! We accept payment both in cash and in LP–League Points, that is. One LP is worth 1 Pokédollar!" said the merchant.
"And this to my right is the Technical Machine Machine–TM Machine for short! It's your ticket to making TMs, which you can use to teach your Pokémon. You'll need to pay LP and supply the machine with materials that Pokémon drop."
"LP comes in handy both at these machines and at stores! I've got a lot–here, you guys have some!" said Nemona. Everyone's phones came out and Nemona transferred 5000 LP to both Issei and Violet. "Oh yeah, and some of these too!" Nemona then handed both of them some materials.
Issei was holding this stuff and didn't really have anywhere to put it. He looked to Violet apologetically. "Sorry, could you hold on to this? I don't have anywhere to put it." Violet nodded and put the materials in her bag.
"Come visit us at the Pokémon Center anytime you need any help!" said Nurse Joy.
"We will. Thanks!" said Nemona. She turned to the other two and smiled. "Remember: "Had a rough adventure? Get to the Pokémon Center!" Sometimes you have to know this sort of stuff for quizzes at school. But mnemonics help out! All right, why don't you two go ahead? There are plenty of Pokémon up ahead. I'll meet you at the gate to Mesagoza."
The pair nodded and went on their way after checking in to the Pokémon Center. They had walked down the road a bit when Violet suddenly stopped. Issei turned to face Violet wondering what was wrong. "Issei, why don't you go on ahead. I missed a Pokémon on the previous route so I'm gonna go back and try and catch it."
"Why don't we go together? I'm in no rush," said Issei.
Violet just shook her head. "It's fine. I can handle myself. Why don't you look around town? I'm sure there's stuff here you've never seen. I'll catch up," she said with a smile. Issei recognized that look and decided to give her her space. Violet turned around and went back to the previous route. As she faced away from Issei her smile fell from her face. As she went back, she kept trying to catch the last few Pokémon she didn't catch but she was having a hard time because the Pokémon around her were running away after seeing her earlier. After some time, she became upset and was now crouched down on the ground with her head in her arms. She was still upset about earlier even though Issei told her not to worry about it. She heeded his words but didn't know what to do. Miiku was sitting next to her looking at her worried. Violet saw this and tried to calm down by petting her. As she was doing so, she felt a small hand on her opposite side. She turned to see a ralts that was a different color than the ones she saw earlier looking at her consolingly. "Hey there. Are you trying to make me feel better?"
"Brralts," said the ralts with a small nod.
Violet smiled and picked up the ralts and sat with it in her lap. Miiku also moved to sit on her lap next to the ralts. "Thanks, you two, I feel better now. I'm sorry I worried you." Violet looked down on the two as they looked up at her. She gave a smile to them which they returned. She looked at the ralts and pulled out a Poké Ball. "Do you want to come with me ralts?" The ralts made a thinking pose but then smiled and nodded. Violet nodded and put the ball on the ralts head, and it went into the ball. A few shakes later and the ralts was caught. She let the ralts out and it made a small cry of happiness. Violet felt calmer when she saw the ralts and thought of a name for it. "I think I'll call you Harmonia."
"Bralts!" said Harmonia. With that done Violet walked back to town.
Issei was wandering around town waiting for Violet. The town was small, so he had circled it in no time. It was mostly homes with a few businesses here and there. He saw how some people interacted with various Pokémon and thought how nice it was that these people basically lived in harmony with nature. He wondered if his world could ever be like this one day, but everything was so different that he couldn't see how it could be achieved. As he was lost in thought an ice cream stand caught his attention and he decided to look at what they had. As he was looking through the menu Violet came back. "Sorry if I made you wait," she said.
"It's fine. Have you cleared your head?" Issei asked. Violet nodded with a shade of embarrassment on her face. Issei smiled and pointed at the ice cream cart. "How about we get some ice cream to cheer you up?"
The two got some ice cream and found a bench to sit on as they enjoyed it. After a bit of silence Violet decided to speak. "So, what did you think about the town?"
"There are a lot of homes here but not a lot of businesses. I didn't see many gardens or farms so I'm wondering how the people here provide for themselves."
"It's probably because Mesagoza is so close by. We can see the wall from here and it looks even bigger up close. I'm sure the people in town go there to get all their needs met."
"Yeah, you're probably right." After their short talk they finished their ice cream and started to head to meet up with Nemona. Along the way they fought more trainers and caught more Pokémon, with Issei being introduced to Violet's new Pokémon, Harmonia. After some time, the pair made it to the Pokémon Center rest stop in front of the gates of Mesagoza.
The two were awed by the size of the gate but before they went in they heard someone call out to them from behind. "Oyeee! Issei, Violet!" The pair turned to see Nemona coming up from behind. "Didja battle some trainers on the hill? Bet you guys' Pokémon are getting stronger! How about you both show me how much you all have learned…in a battle?" The pair smiled as they saw this coming, and they agreed. Issei let Violet go first as he stood off to the side. "All right! Nothing like having a friend around! Come on Violet! Let's have us a fruitful battle!"
The two went to opposite ends of the gate and the battle started with Nemona sending out Quaxly and Violet sending out her new Pichu she caught. "You seem like you're getting better at this, so I'm coming at you with TWO Pokémon this time!" said Nemona.
Violet went first. "Pichu, use Thundershock!" The small electric mouse shot out a bit of electricity at Quaxly and the bird looked like it took serious damage.
"You really work your type matchups! I can tell how badly you wanna win!" said Nemona. "Quaxly, use Water Gun!" The small duck shot water at Pichu and the small mouse tumbled over. Even Issei could tell that did more damage than its attack.
Violet was worried about what to do but before she had a chance to decide, Pichu got back up and its body became surrounded in electricity. Violet wasn't sure what was happening until Pichu charged in at Quaxly on its own, surprising the duck. Once the move connected it showed Quaxly knocked out. "What move was that?!" Violet asked herself as she pulled out her Rotom Phone. She checked Pichu's moves and saw it knew something called Volt Tackle, a high damage recoil move. She soon saw the recoil on Pichu because after the attack it was having a hard time standing up.
Nemona recalled her Pokémon and readied the next one. "Wow! That little guy sure has some power in her. But let's see if you can handle the next guy!" she said as she sent out Pawmi.
Violet decided it was best to switch out and sent out her other new friend. "Go, Harmonia!"
Nemona made the first move and decided to take things up a notch. "Battling you is a blast! Think I better pull out my ace in the hole!" She pulled out another ball that didn't look like a Poké Ball and held it out. Light started to flow into it as the surroundings suddenly became darker. She then threw the ball at her Pokémon causing it to become enveloped in crystals before the Pokémon smashed out, now looking like it was made of crystal and having a giant crystal lightbulb on its head. Issei and Violet were shocked by this as Nemona energetically spoke. "Terastallizing is always a solid strategy! It gives moves of the Pokémon's Tera Type more power! Pawmi, use Thundershock!" The lightbulb on Pawmi's head began to glow brighter as it unleashed a more powerful electric attack than Pichu did earlier.
Harmonia was hit but withstood it. Violet decided to go on the defensive. "Harmonia, Double Team!" Harmonia made duplicates all around the battlefield trying to confuse Pawmi.
Nemona wasn't deterred though. "Try to find the right one! Thundershock!" Pawmi shot more electricity at some of the copies but didn't manage to hit the real one.
"Harmonia, use Confusion!" Harmonia along with the duplicates moved in sync as she used a psychic attack on Pawmi, lifting it up and knocking it away. Violet wanted to keep the momentum as she said the next order. "Disarming Voice!" Harmonia made a cry that damaged Pawmi but Nemona used that to her advantage.
"Found it! Pawmi, use Thundershock on that one!" she said pointing to one of the Harmonia's. Pawmi did so and landed a direct hit causing the other copies to disappear.
Violet didn't want to lose, and Harmonia sensed this so it quickly picked itself up and gave a determined nod to Violet. Violet saw this and smiled thankfully as she went to end this. "Harmonia, use Confusion!" Harmonia used its psychic powers to lift Pawmi and slam it down. After the impact the crystals that surrounded its body dissipated and Pawmi was knocked out.
As the light returned to the surroundings Nemona recalled Pawmi and gave a smile to Violet. "Man, I can't believe how fast you're improving!" After that the group reformed as Nemona praised Violet. "Amazing! Look at you, taking on a Terastallized opponent and winning, no problem!" She then made a face of realization. "Come to think of it, you can't Terastallize your Pokémon yet, huh? Don't worry—I'll get you taken care of! You're so good with Pokémon battles, I forget how new you are to stuff sometimes! Anyway, it was fun to battle you! Here, have some Revives as thanks!" Nemona handed Violet some Revives that she put into n her bag. Nemona looked over to Issei. "Same for you! I'll make sure you're taken care of as well! But first we should battle too! Just let me go to the Pokémon Center first!" she said as she ran over to the nearby center.
"Full of energy as usual. I've been here less than a day, but I already feel like I'm used to this," said Issei as he walked to where Violet was when she battled. Violet chuckled as she stood off to the side.
Nemona came back and got ready to battle. "All right, I won't use Terastallization this time since I remember you can't use it."
"Don't hold back on my account. I can take whatever you dish out and my Pokémon can do the same!" he said with a smile.
Nemona was surprised at first but then her expression changed to the biggest smile they saw on her. "You got it! I won't hold back!" she said as she sent out Quaxly again. Issei decided to send out a new Pokémon he caught earlier, which was Wooper. Nemona made the first move. "Quaxly, use Pound!" The small duck charged at Wooper and hit its head. Wooper recoiled a bit but didn't look too bothered.
"Wooper, use Mud Shot!" Wooper jumped up and shot some mud at Quaxly, getting a direct hit. Issei noticed that after being hit Quaxly began to move a bit slower.
"Not bad! Let's try this! Quaxly, use Water Gun!" Quaxly shot out water at Wooper which made a direct hit, but Wooper looked unaffected. Rather it looked happy to be hit by water. Nemona was surprised by this. "What?! But Ground Types are weak to Water Types."
"I see. Is that how it works? Well, since I saw your battle earlier, I thought I would give this little guy a try. When I caught him my Rotom Phone said he had an ability called Water Absorb, which healed it after being hit by Water Type attacks. Now that you told me it's weak to water, I see I caught one with a very helpful ability," explained Issei.
Nemona couldn't help the smile on her face. "You really are a natural at this! Once you really understand how battling works you'll make one heck of a Trainer!"
"Thanks, but let's not get distracted. Wooper, use Mud Shot!" Wooper shot more mud at Quaxly, seeming to do more damage than usual.
"A critical hit?! Wow, nice one—I have a hard time landing those even when I try!"
I see, so if I can do it right my moves can do more damage than usual, Issei thought to himself. He saw that Quaxly was even slower so decided to capitalize. "Wooper, use Pound!" Wooper went in and hit Quaxly with its tail and Quaxly was knocked out.
Nemona called back Quaxly and sent out Pawmi again. Issei decided to stay in with Wooper since he felt he had a good momentum going. Nemona got out her Tera Orb and began to use it again. "You said not to hold back so I won't!" She tossed it and Pawmi transformed again. "Pawmi, use Thundershock!" Pawmi shot out electricity at Wooper, which made Issei worry if it was gonna be ok, but his fears were swept away as Wooper didn't react at all to being shocked. Issei's face was painted with confusion, but Nemona just rubbed the back of her head with a small laugh. "Ground Types are immune to Electric Type moves, so nothing happened."
"Wait, if you knew that then why did you attack with that move?!"
"Because that's the only move this Pawmi knows," said Nemona. Issei was surprised. He didn't mean to, but he unintentionally walled his opponent from doing anything. This made him realize that this could happen to him too and that he still had much to learn. Issei contemplated switching Pokémon, but Nemona stopped him. "This is a part of battling too Issei. If I'm not prepared for what my opponent brings then it's on me. Don't feel like you have to even the playing field. Instead, use this as a chance to gain experience with your partners!"
Issei nodded and after a few more Mud Shots from Wooper, Pawmi was defeated. Issei still didn't like the idea of one sidedly beating an opponent, but he took this as a learning experience. "Sorry Nemona. I told you to go all out, but then did something that completely shut you down," said Issei.
Nemona just smiled and waved it off. "Don't worry about it. Like I said, it's my fault for not being prepared, and besides it's rare for me to battle someone who would use a strategy like that on me, purposefully or not. I look forward to what else you can do when you really plan it out!" said Nemona excitedly. She then handed Issei some Revives just like with Violet. The three gathered in front of the gate as they were ready to enter. "Now, Mesagoza's waiting just past this gate! At last, the city where our school is! There's a ton of hills and stairs and stuff in the city, so I'm gonna take a quick breather and then catch up with you two soon!"
Issei and Violet walked in and traveled through the tunnel into Mesagoza. Once they made their way through, they were awed by the sight of the large city in front of them. It was a similar feeling Issei had when he visited the Underworld the first time. After they had taken in the sights Nemona ran up from behind them. "All right, here I am! We finally made it, huh? This is Mesagoza! The biggest city in Paldea! It's been a big hub since a long time ago. Lots of folks come here to learn about advances in technology and all kinds of other stuff. There's a hair salon where you can change your looks, plus places with tasty food and fixings… What do you want to see first, guys?
The pair looked between each other and nodded. "Tasty food please!" they said together.
"Hah! I didn't have you pegged for a big eater! But that's smart. You can't battle well with a growling tummy, right?" Nemona made a face of realization. "Oh, and speaking of battling… I wanna be sure you'll both be able to Terastalize your Pokémon too! There's a few things that gotta get done for that to happen, but I'll take care of 'em! Meanwhile, you guys just have fun looking around the city a bit! There's so much to do–grab a bite, buy some accessories to spice up your uniform… If you want my personal recommendation, you've gotta see Delibird Presents! They sell handy items for Pokémon to hold. Once you guys have seen your fill, we can meet up again in front of the school! Just…be ready. The stairs up to school are no joke. Later, then! Get pumped for some Terastallizing!" With that Nemona ran off to the school.
The pair took Nemona's advice and walked around the city. They saw some stores and stopped for some food. Violet was interested in the hair salon, so they went to visit it. When they walked in, the lady at the counter greeted them. "Hello you two! Welcome to our salon. Would you two happen to be on a date?" she asked playfully.
Violet blushed intensely while Issei also made an embarrassed expression. "N-no, we're just friends. This is our first time in the city, and she wanted to see what styles you had," Issei tried to clarify with Violet nodding in agreement.
"Oh, I see. My mistake," said the lady with a small chuckle.
You did that on purpose, Issei thought to himself. Violet looked at the different styles but decided not to change anything. They continued to see the sights, seeing that there were Pokémon Centers on both ends of the city. They stopped by Delibird Presents and picked up some items. After some time exploring they decided it was time to head up the steps and meet with Nemona.
The pair climbed up the first set of stairs and saw something that neither of them expected. There was a girl with two-toned hair looking like she was being hassled by a guy and a girl with helmets and star glasses. As they got closer, they heard their conversation. "Don't you get it?! If you join Team Star, you can shine as bright as anybody!" said the Female Grunt.
The girl in question didn't look convinced and looked like she wanted to get away from the situation. The other guy spoke next. "Seriously, what's with you? Don't you wanna burn bright with awesome friends like us?"
"...Not really." said the girl.
This annoyed the pair. "Look–we've got a quota we're supposed to fill for new members, so just sign up already!" said the Female Grunt irritated.
"Um… I'd rather not…"
Issei had enough of this and stepped in with Violet also backing him up. "Didn't you hear her? She said she doesn't wanna go with you," said Issei sternly with Violet nodding in agreement.
"Huh? You want in on this, too? If you're here to sign up, we'll get to you next! We've nearly got this one in the bag!" said the Male Grunt.
"We're Team Star, kid. We burn so bright, it hurts to look at us! But you knew that, right?"
"Never heard of you," said Issei flatly.
The Female Grunt didn't like that answer. "Ugh, another ignorant little nobody… Here I'm part of Team Star, and still I get no respect? I gotta work my way up the ranks…"
The Male Grunt turned to his partner. "Hey–we can't let something like this slide! The honor of our team's on the line, so we've got no real choice but to battle, yeah?"
"That's true! Let's take these two losers down so we can recruit four-eyes over there! We'll make sure these fresh-faced nobodies see stars!"
Issei turned to Violet. "How about we teach them a lesson instead?" Violet nodded seriously and the four took their positions.
Issei sent out Riosei with Violet sending out Miiku. The Grunts sent out Shroodle and Yungoos. "Riosei, use Bullet Punch on Shroodle!" ordered Issei. "Miiku, use Leafage on Yungoos!" ordered Violet. Riosei charged in with glowing fists landing some consecutive hits on Shroodle, knocking it out. Miiku landed her hit on Yungoos dealing a decent amount of damage on it.
The Female Grunt was distraught to be instantly taken out. "How come I'M the one seeing stars?!" she said.
Her partner was now more nervous since he was on his own, but he still tried to fight back. "Yungoos, use Payback!" The Yungoos charged at Miiku and the grass cat was about to be hit but before the move could connect Riosei moved in and moved both Miiku and itself out of the way, dodging the attack.
Issei smiled and looked to Violet. "Have Miiku finish this." Violet nodded in response. "Miiku, use Bite!" she ordered. "Riosei, toss Miiku at Yungoos!" ordered Issei. Riosei did as ordered and launched Miiku with all its strength. Miiku, now heading straight for the surprised Yungoos, readied its fangs as the attack connected and defeated the Yungoos.
The second Grunt couldn't believe what he saw and slumped in place. "Your Pokémon burned so bright…"
After the battle the two Grunts began to complain. "Urk, why's a nobody like you so good at battling, anyway? That's just not right…," said the Female Grunt.
The Male Grunt looked like he really wanted to get away. "W-well... We should be on our merry way, then, yeah?"
"Pero bueno! What do you think you're doing?!" said a familiar voice. Everyone turned to see it was Nemona with a slightly annoyed face.
"Ugh! It's that student council dweeb!" said the Female Grunt.
"She's gonna report us if we don't book it…," said the Male Grunt.
"I can't believe you two!" complained Nemona to Issei and Violet, which confused them. "You don't have to go find randos to battle! You'll have all the battles you'll ever need… with me!"
That's a red flag if I've ever seen one, thought Issei as he was exasperated by Nemona misreading the situation.
"That's not what really happened…," said Violet.
"It was those Team Star punks trying to pressure this girl," followed up Issei.
"Wait–THEY picked a fight with YOU? Wow, I read that way wrong! Sorry!" said Nemona realizing her mistake. She then turned to look at the Grunts. "I get it now. You two have Team Star written all over you for sure! I bet you were trying to pressure people into signing up again, weren't you?"
"Ah, hi. We weren't… not doing that." said the Male Grunt nervously.
"Well, that explains it. As head of the student council, stopping this type of nonsense would normally be MY job… But this is also the perfect chance for you two to try my amazing and ultra-rare gift to you two!" Nemona handed both Issei and Violet a Tera Orb. "With the Tera Orb, you can Terastallize your Pokémon during battle! Let's see. After it Terastallizes, I'm pretty sure your Sprigatito will beee… a Grass Type. As for your Riolu… Wow! It will be a Dragon Type. Your little guy sure is special to have a Tera Type that's different from its normal type. Normally you've gotta take special classes to be able to get one of these Tera Orbs, but I put in a good word for you two!"
Should she really be doing something like that? Isn't that breaking the rules? Issei thought while Nemona went off to the side.
"Now, time to give it a whirl! You'll learn to use it faster in battle than if I just explain it to you!" said Nemona energetically.
The Male Grunt looked panicked. "Wait, what? You want these kids to practice whaling on us with their Tera Pokémon, is that it?"
"Got a problem? You wanna battle me instead?" said Nemona threateningly.
That caused both Grunts to flinch. "B-but, both of our Pokémon got mopped earlier. They're in no shape to battle," said the Female Grunt, trying to weasel out of the situation.
Nemona just smiled. "In that case I'll heal them up for you they can battle again." She walked over to the Grunts, and they reluctantly let her heal their Pokémon. Once that was done Nemona went back to her spot as everybody got ready to battle again. "Take your places, and…battle!" announced Nemona.
Everyone sent out the same Pokémon as last time with both Violet and Issei taking out their Tera Orbs. "Well, nothing for it I guess," said Issei as he held out the orb, with Violet doing the same above her. Light gathered into the two orbs and the surroundings darkened. Then Issei and Violet threw their orbs at their Pokémon and what happened to Pawmi before happened to Miiku and Riosei, with Miiku getting a crystal bouquet on her head and Riosei getting a dragon statue on his head. Issei checked Riosei with his Rotom Phone and saw that Tera Blast had changed Type from Normal to Dragon. He decided to test it out. "Riosei, use Tera Blast on Shroodle!" Violet went in too. "Miiku, use Leafage on Yungoos!" Both Pokémon launched their attacks together and one shot both of the Grunts Pokémon.
Damn, that is a bit overpowered. No wonder they make you take a special class for it, thought Issei. Both Grunts looked like they wanted to cry.
"Nice job you two! You pulled off Terastallizing no problem! Moves of your Pokémon's Tera Type will hit even harder when it's Terastallized, y'know! Sometimes you'll find Pokémon whose Tera Type is different from their usual Type, like Riolu there. That difference can open up your strategic options! Gotta charge your Tera Orb at a Pokémon Center after every use by healing your team, though." explained Nemona.
"W-well if that's everything, we'll be getting out of here. Hasta la vistaaarrr!" said the Male Grunt.
"Me too! Hasta la vistar!" said the Female Grunt and they ran off.
After they were gone Nemona explained the situation. "So, yeah–Team Star is basically a group of students that like to kick up trouble. They hardly ever show up to class, and when they get together in groups, they're a real headache. Even the teachers don't know what to do with 'em from what I hear…"
"Um… 'scuse me!" said the girl from before who had been silently watching the whole thing. Issei and Violet had almost forgotten about her as they turned to her. "I…uh… I just… Well, thanks," she said as she walked towards the steps. "So, yeah… See you around." With that she ran up the steps.
"Awww, look at you two! Already becoming big heroes around campus! I don't think I've seen that girl around. Maybe she's a new transfer, like you… That Eevee bag, though! Love that fluff! Anyway, seems like the trouble's died down, so we'd better book it up to school! Get ready to climb the worst staircase in the world!" said Nemona as she ran up the stairs. The pair smirked and followed her up, passing by students and up to the entrance.
So, how about that Pokémon presents the other day huh. So since the new DLC is coming soon I was motivated to do this story sooner. Yes I got a shiny Ralts for Violet and let me tell you hunting for this thing was a pain in the ass in terms of doing it early. It took me three days to do which came with it's own problems. On the first day I found a shiny Ralts, but it was a boy, so now I'm obligated to make it a shiny Gallade. On the Second day I found a shiny Azurill which wasn't even what I was hunting for and my sandwich was for shiny psychics not shiny fairies, so this was a full odds random shiny that I couldn't keep because I caught it on the wrong file and I was doing the shiny hunting exploit where I can catch infinite shinies as long as I don't do it on the file that's using the herba mystica. On the third day I finally caught a female Ralts which will be for this story. As for the Pichu, I bred that one in my other profile so it would have Volt Tackle and hatched it in this file so it would obey Violet but in terms of the story she "caught" a special Pichu that was holding a light ball. There is one more Pokémon that will be in this story that I brought in from another file but after that every Pokémon will be something caught in this game. Now then as I said with Scyther before I need a name for the female Pichu (eventual Pikachu). I'm open to suggestions so please put them in the comments below. I look forward to the comments.
