Bonus Chapter: A Destroyer God Calls
***SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN REALITIES***
In the vast expanse between realities and timelines, where the fabric of existence intertwined like an intricate tapestry, a solitary figure stood as an observer of cosmic events. The Watcher, a being of immense knowledge and power, gazed upon the unfolding battle in Universe 616 with a sense of somber understanding. His presence radiated an aura of profound wisdom, as if the weight of countless stories and destinies rested upon his shoulders.
Surrounded by the shimmering currents of interdimensional energy, The Watcher's form was ethereal, an embodiment of cosmic energy and ancient wisdom. His luminous eyes, like two distant stars, held the secrets of eons past and the potential of futures yet to be written. Clad in a cosmic cloak that seemed to flow like the very essence of time, The Watcher stood as an impartial witness to the events that shaped the universe.
The Watcher's oath, whispered through the eons, resonated in the space around him. "I am The Watcher. I am the sum of all knowledge, the keeper of secrets untold. I am bound to observe, to bear witness to the grand tapestry of existence, to neither interfere nor intervene."
As the battle raged in Universe 616, The Watcher's gaze remained fixed, his eyes absorbing every detail, every clash of light and darkness, every heroic struggle against overwhelming odds. He observed the heroes of light as they stood united against the forces of darkness, their determination and bravery shining like beacons in the midst of turmoil.
The Watcher's presence was a reminder of the cosmic balance that governed the universe, the delicate equilibrium between order and chaos, light and darkness. He stood as a silent guardian of the multiverse, his role defined by his oath to observe, to learn, and to record.
And as The Watcher continued to watch, his silent vigil a testament to the vastness of existence and the intricacies of fate, he pondered the significance of this battle, the choices made by the heroes, and the potential ramifications that could ripple through time and space. The tapestry of reality continued to weave itself, each thread of destiny interwoven with the next, and The Watcher stood as its witness, his gaze unwavering, his purpose unwaveringly fulfilled.
Suddenly, The Watcher felt something in the cosmos, his focus and attention on the unfolding battle was momentarily disrupted by an overwhelming presence that resonated through the fabric of reality itself. A power like no other, one that surpassed even the most potent cosmic forces he had ever witnessed. It was a sensation that caused his cosmic consciousness to stir, his mind racing to comprehend the magnitude of the being that had arrived. The energy he could feel was a divine aura, that radiated power and a sense of primal destruction.
"Lord Beerus of Universe 7, have you come to witness the ultimate conflict on Universe 616?" The Watcher asked, seeing his new guest float near him.
Turning slightly, he acknowledged the presence of the figure who had arrived: Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7. Beside him stood Whis, his enigmatic attendant, who emanated an air of calm and tranquility that contrasted with Beerus's raw power.
Beerus was a towering figure, his build imposing and his stance exuding an air of authority. Clad in his distinctive Egyptian-inspired attire, he bore the markings of a deity whose very existence was synonymous with the force of destruction. His skin was a deep purple, and his eyes gleamed with an otherworldly intensity, reflecting his unfathomable might. The insignia of his divine role serves as a reminder of his power to bring about devastation on an unprecedented scale.
Whis, by contrast, was more refined in his appearance. Dressed in elegant attire that reflected his cosmic nature, he carried himself with an air of grace and composure. His staff, a symbol of his wisdom and authority, was an extension of his own celestial power. With his silver hair and serene demeanor, Whis appeared to be a being that transcended the confines of ordinary existence.
Beerus's deep voice rumbled through the space as he replied to The Watcher's question. "Indeed, I've come to witness this spectacle, the clash of light and darkness on Earth 616. It's not every day that one gets to see such cosmic forces in motion."
Whis nodded in agreement, his tone measured and composed. "It's a fascinating display of power dynamics, wouldn't you say, Lord Beerus? The choices and actions of mortals shaping the course of their universe."
Beerus crossed his arms and regarded the unfolding battle with a mixture of intrigue and casual interest. "Power struggles, destinies in flux, and the delicate dance between order and chaos. Mortals can be quite entertaining."
The Watcher's presence did not go unnoticed by Beerus, who turned his gaze towards him. "Watcher, you observe and record, do you not? Tell me, what do you see in this confrontation? What do you predict will be the outcome?"
The Watcher's voice echoed through the cosmic space as he responded, his words carrying the weight of ages. "I see a collision of wills, of heroes standing resolute against a tide of darkness. The outcome is uncertain, for it is shaped by the choices of beings who defy fate itself. Such is the nature of the tapestry I observe."
Beerus's lips curled into a faint smirk. "Ah, the uncertainty of it all. A fascinating narrative, wouldn't you agree, Whis?"
Whis inclined his head in acknowledgment. "Indeed, my lord. The unpredictability of mortal choices is the very essence of their existence."
As the trio continued to observe the battle on Earth 616, their presence marked a convergence of beings who held dominion over different aspects of the universe. The Watcher, the God of Destruction, and the Angelic Attendant — each embodied a distinct cosmic force, their perspectives intertwined in this moment of cosmic significance.
Beerus's curiosity was insatiable, his divine senses attuned to the fluctuations of power across the multiverse. With a raised eyebrow and an intrigued tone, he turned to The Watcher and remarked, "Hm, I sense a power level reminiscent of the Trunks from my universe. Tell me Watcher, is there another Trunks lurking around in this reality as well?"
The Watcher's response was delivered with a deadpan that matched his eternal neutrality.
"No, that would be the Trunks from your universe."
Beerus's eyes widened with a mixture of incredulity and annoyance. "What? My Trunks? How is that even possible?"
As if a dam had burst, Beerus's seemingly unshakable composure gave way to an uproar.
"Trunks is meddling with the multiverse without my consent? Why wasn't I informed about this? Is he creating more timelines again? This is outrageous!"
His voiced raised several octaves as he demanded answers, his frustration palpable. The Watcher regarded Beerus with a bemused expression, his cosmic visage giving away nothing of the mirth that danced within his eyes.
"I assure you," The Watcher began calmly, "Trunks of Universe 7 is indeed engaged in his own adventures, but his actions are driven by noble intentions and the desire to combat a greater threat."
Beerus's agitation was momentarily quelled by The Watcher's words, though a hint of skepticism lingered in his gaze. "Noble intentions, you say?"
The Watcher nodded, his demeanor ever serene. "Yes. Trunks from your universe is engaged in a battle against a malevolent force known as Mephiles. This entity has been meddling with time and space across multiple realities, posing a threat to the very fabric of existence."
Beerus's brow furrowed as he recalled a distant conversation with Goku, one in which the Saiyan had babbled about alternate realities and timelines. At the time, he hadn't given much credence to Goku's words, dismissing them as the ramblings of a simple-minded warrior.
Goku's voice echoed in Beerus's mind, and he grumbled under his breath, "That blasted Saiyan did mention something like this once..."
The Watcher's gaze remained fixed on Beerus, his cosmic awareness extending beyond the immediate interaction. "Trunks of your universe is fighting to preserve the stability of the multiverse. His actions have far-reaching consequences, and he walks a perilous path."
Beerus's irritation seemed to fade into contemplation as he absorbed The Watcher's words. A flicker of understanding crossed his features, and he muttered to himself, "So, it's not just mindless meddling. There's a purpose to his actions."
As his thoughts settled, Beerus's demeanor shifted once more. The fervor of his frustration was replaced by a sense of grudging acceptance. With a deep breath, he turned back to The Watcher, his voice carrying a trace of reluctant respect.
"Fine, then. But don't think I'm letting my Trunks off the hook completely. I'll have a word with him about this whole multiverse hopping business once this is all over."
The Watcher's gaze held a glimmer of amusement as he responded, "I have no doubt he'll be in for quite the conversation."
Always the composed and thoughtful attendant, Whis leaned slightly towards The Watcher and remarked, "It seems that Saiyans are not among the denizens of this particular timeline, wouldn't you say, Uatu?"
The Watcher, his gaze still fixed on the unfolding battle, nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Whis. As of this moment, Saiyans are not a part of the tapestry of events in this reality."
Beerus's eyes narrowed with a hint of disappointment, his lips curling into a wistful expression.
"A pity. A Saiyan warrior like Goku or Vegeta could easily turn the tide of battle in their favor. Heck, even a variant of Krillin could make short work of this darkness."
The Watcher's cosmic form seemed to shimmer with an ethereal light as he responded, "It's intriguing how the absence or presence of a single entity can shape the course of events in such significant ways. But remember, even without the Saiyans, this gathering of heroes from various corners of the multiverse holds a power that cannot be underestimated."
Beerus's frustration seemed to have transformed into a newfound intrigue, his gaze now focused on the myriad heroes joining forces against the darkness. "True. There's an undeniable strength in unity, in the diversity of beings who have come together to stand against this threat."
Whis's voice carried its characteristic calm as he added, "Indeed, Lord Beerus. It's a testament to the resilience and courage that dwell within the hearts of these heroes."
As the battle raged on and the clash between light and darkness continued, Beerus's contemplative expression remained, his thoughts turning to the potential of this assembly of heroes. Perhaps the absence of Saiyans in this timeline was a circumstance that had its own purpose, its own role to play in the grand symphony of existence.
With a sigh that seemed to hold a mixture of resignation and anticipation, Beerus mused, "Well, I suppose we'll have to make do with the allies we have. And who knows, maybe this universe has its own champions yet to rise."
The Watcher's gaze remained unwavering, his cosmic aura radiating a sense of timeless wisdom. "Indeed, Lord Beerus. The future is a realm of infinite possibilities, and even in the absence of certain beings, destiny has a way of weaving unexpected threads."
Beerus's gaze lingered on the battlefield, his attention seemingly captivated by the flurry of action and the diverse array of weapons in the hands of the heroes. With a tilt of his head, he turned his piercing gaze towards The Watcher and inquired, "So, who's the warrior with that sword that looks like a key?"
The Watcher's all-seeing eyes regarded Beerus with a knowing gaze, the corners of his cosmic form seeming to curl in a subtle hint of amusement. "Ah, you're referring to the Keyblade and its wielder. Which one are you specifically asking about? Many heroes in this battle possess the ability to wield those unique weapons."
Beerus's expression remained deadpan as he muttered, "I don't know. I'm not exactly well-acquainted with these particular heroes or that peculiar weapon, for that matter."
Pointing towards the distinctive figure with spikey brown hair and a red and black attire, he added, "That one there. You know, the spikey-haired fellow."
The Watcher's ethereal form seemed to shimmer with a serene light as he acknowledged Beerus's curiosity. "Ah, you're referring to Sora, the wielder of the Keyblade. His journey is one of remarkable complexity, stretching across countless worlds and dimensions."
Beerus's tone held a hint of fascination as he leaned forward slightly. "Keyblade, huh? Sounds interesting, but hardly practical. Tell me more about this Sora and his... Keyblade."
The Watcher's voice carried the weight of ages as he began to recount the story of Sora, his adventures, his friendships, and his battles against the forces of darkness.
"Sora is a young and courageous warrior, known for his unwavering heart and his strong connections to others. He wields the Keyblade, a weapon of great power that can unlock the hearts of worlds and seal the door to darkness."
Beerus's expression shifted from indifference to intrigue, his eyes narrowing as he absorbed the information. "A warrior who fights with a key-shaped sword and battles darkness? That's a new one."
The Watcher's voice held a sense of gentle wisdom as he continued, "Indeed, Sora's journey has taken him to worlds both familiar and foreign, where he has forged bonds with friends and allies who stand beside him in times of need. His determination and compassion are his greatest strengths, and he fights not just for his own world, but for the interconnected fabric of the entire universe."
Beerus's lips curved into a rare smile, a testament to his growing interest. "Well, well. A warrior who fights with a key-shaped sword, determined to save the universe. That's a story worth knowing."
The God of Destruction's gaze remained fixed on Sora, his eyes assessing the young warrior's every move as he battled against the forces of darkness. After a moment of observation, he turned to The Watcher and posed a question, his tone laced with curiosity.
"Tell me, what is the source of power for that boy? Sora, was it?"
The Watcher's response carried the weight of cosmic truth, his voice resonating with the knowledge of the ages.
"Sora draws his power from within, from the light that burns within his heart. It is the strength of his connections, his friendships, and his unwavering determination that fuels his abilities. His Keyblade is a reflection of his heart's power."
Beerus's expression shifted from intrigue to incredulity. He raised an eyebrow and looked at The Watcher with a skeptical gaze.
"You can't be serious. His heart and his friendships? That's what powers him?"
Whis interjected with a serene smile, his tone light.
"It seems to be a common theme among the Keyblade wielders, my lord. The strength of their hearts and the bonds they forge hold great significance."
Beerus's sarcasm was evident in his voice as he retorted, "Oh, how heartwarming. A warrior's power is fueled by warm and fuzzy feelings."
Whis chuckled softly and added, "Well, my lord, you might find it interesting that even among the other Gods of Destruction and their Angels, this concept holds true. A warrior's strength often derives from the depths of their heart."
Beerus rolled his eyes dramatically, his exasperation evident. "Oh, wonderful. I'm sure that's very inspiring for all of them."
As Beerus pondered Sora's source of power, a flicker of contemplation crossed his features. He brought his clawed hand to his purple, feline chin, his gaze distant as if delving into his thoughts.
"There's something... unusual about this boy. Something I can't quite put my finger on. It's more than just his heart and his friendships."
Whis's eyes twinkled with a knowing light as he gently prodded, "Perhaps it's something you've sensed beyond the surface, my lord."
Beerus's gaze refocused on the ongoing battle below, his expression a mixture of curiosity and intrigue. "Perhaps, Whis. But for now, let's see how this unfolds. I wouldn't want to miss out on any surprises."
The Watcher's gaze remained fixed on the battle below as he responded to Beerus's observation. "Indeed, this universe has a unique way of weaving together destinies and outcomes that defy even the most knowledgeable of observers."
Suddenly, Beerus's attention turned to a spikey blue creature, Sonic, and his classic counterpart. He leaned forward slightly, his eyes narrowing in curiosity.
"And what is the story with that creature? Why are there two versions of it anyway?"
Whis, ever the source of information, chimed in with a calm demeanor. "That, my lord, is Sonic the Hedgehog, a hero known for his incredible speed and his role in safeguarding his universe. The other version is another Sonic, a variant from a different dimension. It seems he's been brought here due to some multiversal disturbance."
"Disturbance, you say? Beerus asked with intrigue. "And why has this other Sonic been allowed to gallivant across the multiverse? Shouldn't the Time Variance Authority be keeping tabs on this sort of thing?"
Whis's smile remained serene as he answered, "It appears that sometimes, even the most vigilant organizations can't fully predict the twists and turns of the multiverse. Variants and anomalies have a way of cropping up unexpectedly."
Beerus huffed in response, his frustration evident. "Hmph, typical. And here I thought the TVA was supposed to keep the timelines in check."
The Watcher's deep voice carried a hint of amusement as he added, "The multiverse is a complex tapestry, and even the most powerful entities must contend with its intricacies."
As the battle continued to unfold, Beerus couldn't help but mutter to himself, "Well, if this Sonic is causing multiversal ripples, perhaps he'll provide some entertainment in the midst of all this chaos."
Whis's perceptive nature led him to sense the surge of chaotic energy emanating from Sonic and his Mobian companions. With a knowing glance at The Watcher, he inquired, "Do I sense the presence of Chaos Emeralds?"
"Indeed" The Watcher nodded, looking towards Whis. "The Chaos Emeralds hold a unique power that resonates with the very fabric of this universe. Their energy can bend reality and grant those who wield them incredible abilities."
Beerus's interest was piqued, his gaze fixed on the giant green Emerald being protected by the red echidna below. "And who might that be?" he asked, pointing toward Knuckles.
Whis's tone held a hint of amusement as he replied, "That is Knuckles the Echidna, the guardian of the Master Emerald. The Master Emerald is intrinsically connected to the Chaos Emeralds and serves as a stabilizing force for their power."
The Watcher chimed in to provide further insight. "The Chaos Emeralds are coveted by many due to their potential to reshape reality and bestow immense power upon their wielder. They're capable of amplifying the natural abilities of individuals, such as Sonic, granting him even greater speed and strength."
Beerus's eyes gleamed with intrigue as he listened. "Interesting. So, these Emeralds essentially serve as sources of boundless power."
Whis nodded. "Indeed, but they come with their own risks and challenges. The Chaos Emeralds' power is connected to the very essence of this universe, and their misuse can have far-reaching consequences."
As the battle raged on below, Beerus's curiosity grew. "And what about this Knuckles and his Master Emerald? How does that fit into all of this?"
Whis explained, "The Master Emerald is a source of stability for the Chaos Emeralds' energy. Knuckles, as its guardian, ensures its protection and balance. The Master Emerald's power allows Knuckles to harness his own unique abilities and enhances his connection to the Chaos Emeralds."
Beerus's expression shifted from curiosity to a contemplative look. "A guardian of balance and power, I see. Well, these Chaos Emeralds certainly add an interesting element to this conflict."
The Watcher continued his narration, describing the phenomenon known as the Super Sonic transformation.
"When Sonic gathers all seven Chaos Emeralds and harnesses their combined energy, he undergoes a transformation into his Super Sonic form. His appearance changes from his usual blue hue to a radiant shade of gold. In this state, his power, speed, and abilities are greatly amplified, making him nearly unstoppable."
Beerus leaned in, his interest evident. "A transformation that grants immense power, you say?"
Super Sonic's power is unparalleled, allowing him to fly, move at incredible speeds, and unleash devastating energy attacks." The Watcher noted towards The God of Destruction. "It's a testament to the potential locked within the Chaos Emeralds."
A small smile tugged at the corners of Beerus's lips as he exchanged a glance with Whis. "Seems familiar, doesn't it, Whis?"
Whis chuckled softly. "Indeed, Lord Beerus. The concept of transformation through harnessing unique energy resonates across various universes. As you recall my lord, Saiyans for instance, undergo a transformation when they reach Super Saiyan, marked by their distinct golden hair."
Beerus let out a light laugh. "Well, it appears that the multiverse is indeed full of surprises. Who would have thought that a small gem could hold such power?"
The Watcher joined in the levity. "In the vast expanse of the multiverse, the potential for extraordinary occurrences knows no bounds."
As the battle on Earth 616 raged on, Beerus's gaze returned to the chaotic spectacle below, a newfound appreciation for the Chaos Emeralds and Super Sonic's transformation in his mind. With a thoughtful nod, he murmured, "A small multiverse, indeed."
The Watcher continued to provide insight into the world of Sonic and his extraordinary abilities.
"When Sonic harnesses the power of the Super Emeralds through the Master Emerald's influence, he can access a state even beyond Super Sonic - the Hyper Form. In this form, Sonic's appearance is a fusion of vibrant colors, and his entire being radiates a blinding light."
Beerus's eyes widened with genuine intrigue. "A transformation beyond even Super? This is becoming more intriguing by the moment."
Whis nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Lord Beerus. The concept of unlocking higher states of power is a common theme across many universes."
"So, what does Sonic gain from achieving this Hyper Form? What can he do?" Asked Beerus, wanting to know more about Sonic's Hyper Form.
The all seeing Watcher's gaze remained fixed on the battle below, where the heroes of Earth 616 were locked in fierce combat against Thanos and Mephiles.
"In his Hyper Form, Sonic's power, speed, and strength are taken to unimaginable heights. His abilities are enhanced to a degree where he can effortlessly manipulate energy and even transcend the barriers of space and time. The Hyper Form represents the pinnacle of Sonic's potential, a true force to be reckoned with."
Beerus's expression was a mix of fascination and amusement. "Able to manipulate energy and transcend space and time? Remarkable."
As they continued to observe the battle unfolding, Whis mused, "It seems that the universe never ceases to amaze us, Lord Beerus."
Beerus's lips curled into a satisfied smile. "Indeed, Whis. And who knows what other hidden powers and transformations lie within the multiverse?"
Wanting to know more about the power of the Chaos Emeralds and Sonic himself, Beerus looked towards The Watcher, with further questions.
"So, tell me, what other tricks does this hedgehog have up his sleeve?"
"Chaos Control is a remarkable ability that allows Mobians to manipulate time and space". The Watcher proclaimed, still keeping his eyes closely on the Battle on Universe 616 "It grants them the power to warp reality, teleport instantly, and even slow down or speed up time."
"So, you're saying these Mobians can manipulate time and space with these Chaos Emeralds?" Beerus inquired.
The Watcher nodded. "Yes, Chaos Control is a remarkable ability that Mobians like Sonic and Shadow possess. It allows them to manipulate time and space to varying degrees, granting them incredible control over their surroundings."
Beerus leaned back, his fingers tapping his chin thoughtfully. "Hmmm, fascinating. Sounds a bit like the Saiyan technique of Instant Transmission, doesn't it, Whis?"
Whis nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Lord Beerus."
The Watcher continued, "But what truly sets Mobians apart is their ability to achieve Chaos Fusion. This is a technique they unlocked during a battle with a powerful being known as Perfect Nazo. Through Chaos Control, Sonic and Shadow can fuse their energies and consciousness to become a single, incredibly powerful being known as Shadic."
Beerus's eyes gleamed with recognition. "A fusion technique? Just like the Saiyan's Potara Earrings or the Fusion Dance."
The Watcher nodded. "Yes, Shadic possesses an amalgamation of Sonic and Shadow's powers, magnified to an extraordinary degree. In this form, they wield incredible speed, strength, and control over chaos energy. Their very existence blurs the line between light and darkness, making them a formidable force against any adversary."
Beerus let out a hearty chuckle. "A fusion of powers, a melding of light and darkness… This multiverse certainly has its own way of weaving narratives."
As they watched the ongoing battle, Whis commented, "It's a testament to the creative possibilities that exist within each universe, my lord."
Beerus leaned back, clearly entertained by the information he had learned. "Well, it seems I've stumbled upon a universe that's quite the cosmic tapestry. Who knows what other surprises await us?"
As Whis's gaze settled upon Kairi, his ever-curious demeanor showed a heightened interest in her.
"Uatu, that girl wielding the Keyblade, she radiates an immense aura of light. Who is she, and what is the source of her extraordinary power?"
The Watcher nodded in acknowledgment.
"Her name is Kairi. She is not only a Keyblade warrior, but also a Princess of Heart—a rare and unique individual who possesses a heart devoid of darkness. Her connection to the light is indeed overwhelming."
Beerus leaned in, his eyes narrowing in fascination. "A Princess of Heart, you say? That's quite the title."
The Watcher continued, "Kairi's role in this battle is significant. Her purity of heart and her abilities with the Keyblade make her a potent force against the darkness. She's a steadfast friend to those around her and has played a vital role in the fight against various threats."
Whis nodded, his keen understanding evident. "A warrior of light and purity, it seems. Her presence must be a great boon to her allies."
Beerus, however, couldn't help but inject a touch of humor into the situation.
"Ah, yes, the Keyblade. It seems they're just handing them out to anyone these days."
The Watcher chuckled softly. "Indeed, the Keyblade has chosen many individuals across the multiverse, those who are deemed worthy to wield its power. Each one carries their own destiny and battles."
Whis's lips curled into a faint smile. "It's a testament to the tapestry of fate, isn't it? How these beings converge to shape the course of events."
Beerus smirked. "And yet, with all these Keyblade wielders and their light and darkness talk, I wonder if they'd still give one to me."
The Watcher's eyes twinkled with a knowing glint. "Perhaps that's a story for another time, Lord Beerus."
Beerus's laughter resonated with a mixture of amusement and curiosity.
"Well, Uatu, let's get back to this... 'Infinity Gem' situation. Why are these Earthlings, and a few others from different corners of this universe, going through all this fuss over six multicolored gems and a rather irritable-looking, purple-headed warlord?"
The Watcher's gaze shifted back to the ongoing battle, a brief reflection of both sorrow and wisdom crossing his ancient eyes.
"Those gems are known as the Infinity Stones, Lord Beerus. Each stone holds an immeasurable amount of power over fundamental aspects of the universe—time, space, reality, power, mind, and soul. Together, they grant near-omnipotence to anyone who wields them."
Beerus's eyebrow arched, his interest piqued. "Omnipotence, you say? Now that's intriguing."
The Watcher nodded. "Indeed, and therein lies the dilemma. Thanos, the being you referred to as a 'purple-headed warlord,' seeks to gather all six Infinity Stones to exert his will on the universe. He believes it's his destiny, his purpose."
Beerus's expression shifted into something akin to contemplation. "So, balance through destruction? A questionable approach, even for a God of Destruction like myself."
The Watcher's voice took on a somber tone. "The Avengers and their allies, however, stand against Thanos. They recognize the danger of wielding such concentrated power and the catastrophic consequences it could bring. They fight not just to protect Earth, but the entire cosmos, safeguarding the very fabric of reality from being torn apart."
Beerus leaned back, a thoughtful look in his eyes. "A noble endeavor, indeed."
Whis chimed in, his tone composed as always. "It's the classic struggle of power and responsibility, Lord Beerus. The weight of choice that such power brings."
Beerus hummed, his interest clearly engaged. "So, they're fighting for the preservation of existence itself. A battle of ideals, I suppose."
The Watcher nodded, his gaze returning to the battle. "Indeed, Lord Beerus. And within these struggles, within these moments of adversity, the true nature of heroes emerges. Choices are made, alliances are formed, and destinies unfold."
Beerus's eyes gleamed with a renewed understanding. "Perhaps the outcome of this conflict will be as interesting as the circumstances that brought it about."
The Watcher's enigmatic smile remained. "Ah, the beauty of the multiverse lies in its unpredictability. One never knows what will transpire."
And what of this Mephiles character? I've heard whispers about him in my universe, a so-called 'God of Darkness.' Why isn't he joining the fray?" Beerus asked, demanding to know more of Mephiles.
The Watcher's gaze held a hint of gravity.
"Mephiles is indeed a being of immense darkness and malevolence. He seeks to plunge the universe into eternal darkness and chaos. He's been a thorn in the side of many heroes across different realities."
Beerus's eyes narrowed. "Sounds like a worthy opponent."
The Watcher nodded. "He is, and he possesses an intimate knowledge of the chaos that thrives within the multiverse. However, he's currently not on the battlefield."
Beerus raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "And why is that? Has he realized the futility of his efforts?"
The Watcher's voice held a note of reassurance. "Not quite. Mephiles recently suffered a defeat at the hands of Sonic, Sora, Captain Marvel and some other heroes. They bested him within the Realm of Darkness, forcing him to retreat and lick his wounds."
Beerus's lips curled into a sneer. "A coward, then. A true God of Darkness wouldn't cower away."
The Watcher's expression remained inscrutable. "Mephiles is cunning and patient. He bides his time, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. And while he may not be on the battlefield at this moment, his influence still casts a shadow over the events unfolding."
Beerus crossed his arms, his demeanor thoughtful. "A chess player, it seems. Calculating his moves from the shadows."
Whis chimed in, his tone mild as ever. "Perhaps he is wise enough to know when to retreat and when to advance, Lord Beerus."
Beerus grunted in acknowledgment. "Perhaps. But if he truly considers himself a 'God of Darkness,' then I'm disappointed he's not embracing this chaos directly."
The Watcher's gaze held a tinge of wisdom. "Perhaps, in time, he will reveal his true intentions. Until then, the battle continues, and the forces of light and darkness are on the precipice of destiny."
"Speaking of time and destiny. I have a question for you, Watcher." Beerus said with importance, something playing on the God of Destruction's mind.
"Of course. What is it, Lord Beerus?"
The destruction God paused and looked back to the battle in their visions. He needed to know one important detail and outcome.
"Tell me, what comes of Universe 616's survival? Do these heroes of light succeed?"
The Watcher, a being that has seen all that has happened and will happen paused. The question was truly a powerful one from this destruction of God from Universe 7.
"The outcome of this battle," The Watcher began, his voice a blend of somber reflection, "is a convergence of possibilities. In the vast tapestry of the multiverse, countless threads of destiny intertwine and unravel, creating infinite paths and outcomes. What we are witnessing here is a pivotal moment, where the choices and actions of these heroes will shape the fate of this universe."
Beerus's brows furrowed in contemplation. "So, you're saying you don't know."
The Watcher's gaze held a sense of solemnity. "I observe, I document, but I do not interfere. The future is a mosaic of probabilities, and even I, with all my insight, cannot predict which thread will lead to triumph or tragedy."
Beerus sighed, his godly presence exuding a mixture of frustration and acceptance. "Typical. Always more questions than answers."
Whis, ever composed, added his own perspective. "Indeed, Lord Beerus. The beauty of existence lies in its unpredictability, the unfolding of events that even the most powerful beings cannot fully comprehend."
Beerus's gaze remained fixed on the battlefield, where heroes and villains clashed in a dance of light and darkness. "Very well, then. Let this universe's fate be decided by its inhabitants' own choices and courage."
As Beerus and Whis continued to watch the epic confrontation below, The Watcher's presence echoed with the weight of knowledge, the threads of destiny ever-shifting and intertwining, carrying the universe toward an uncertain future.
The Watcher's eyes held a hint of intrigue as he turned his attention back to Beerus and Whis.
"And what of your role in this cosmic interplay? Why have you ventured from your own universe to bear witness to this particular confrontation?"
Beerus let out a low, rumbling chuckle. "Curiosity, perhaps. After all, a battle of such magnitude does pique the interest of a God of Destruction."
Whis's smile remained serene as he added, "And as beings connected to the ebb and flow of the cosmos, it is only natural that we seek to understand the currents of fate that guide these events."
The Watcher nodded slowly. "Yet, I sense there is more to your presence than mere curiosity."
Beerus's gaze held a glint of something deeper as he leaned slightly closer to The Watcher.
"You are perceptive, Uatu," Beerus began, his tone carrying a mix of nonchalant amusement and a touch of grandiosity, " It appears that I've been given a... supplementary role, you might say, by none other than the Omni King himself."
The Watcher's ethereal form betrayed a hint of surprise, even though his nature was often characterized by impassivity. "The Omni King? Grand Zeno?"
Beerus nodded with a sly grin.
"Indeed. It seems that in addition to being the God of Destruction of Universe 7, I've also been bestowed the title of Destruction God for Universe 616."
Whis's serene voice added a touch of clarity to the explanation. "In this capacity, Lord Beerus is tasked with maintaining the balance of this universe, ensuring that the forces of creation and destruction remain in harmony."
The Watcher's eyes gleamed with understanding. "So, you're not just here out of mere curiosity or amusement. You have a responsibility to this universe."
Beerus's grin widened. "Precisely. I suppose you could say I'm here on official business, fulfilling my duties as a God of Destruction."
The Watcher nodded slowly, absorbing this newfound knowledge. "An intriguing twist indeed. A cosmic enforcer for Universe 616."
Beerus leaned back slightly, a mix of pride and nonchalance evident in his posture. "Well, someone has to keep things in check, don't they?"
As Beerus and Whis continued to watch the unfolding battle, The Watcher contemplated the peculiar interplay of cosmic forces and the roles assigned to beings far beyond mortal comprehension. The balance of the universe, it seemed, was a delicate dance orchestrated by powers that spanned beyond time and space.
The Watcher regarded Beerus and Whis with a thoughtful expression. "You know, Lord Beerus, now that you hold the mantle of the God of Destruction in this universe, you have the ability to directly interfere without causing alternate timelines or branching realities."
Beerus's eyes lit up with interest, a spark of anticipation igniting within him. "Hmm, an intriguing proposition."
Whis nodded in agreement. "Indeed, it would provide an opportunity for a firsthand comparison between Earth 616 and your own universe's Earth."
The Watcher's gaze shifted towards the ongoing battle on Earth 616.
"This battle holds great significance for this universe's future. Your presence could tip the scales in unexpected ways."
Beerus's lips curled into a faint grin. "Well, Whis, it seems we've found our front-row seats to the grand spectacle for the Universe's survival."
Whis's calm demeanor remained unchanged, but a glint of curiosity danced in his eyes.
"And perhaps we can have a word with Trunks about his interdimensional escapades."
The Watcher's gaze held a mixture of amusement and understanding. "I imagine that conversation will be quite illuminating."
"Oh, he's got a thing or two coming, that's for sure!" Beerus proclaimed with a smirk.
With an affirmative nod, Beerus and Whis prepared to descend to Earth 616. The Watcher's words echoed in their minds, a reminder of the unique position they now held in this universe. As they stepped through a cosmic portal, the battlefield unfolded before them in all its chaotic glory. Heroes clashed against a sea of darkness, the clash of powers reverberating through the very fabric of reality.
The Watcher's voice lingered in the air as they departed. "May your presence shape the course of destiny, Lord Beerus. And may the convergence of your universe and this one shed light on the complexities of existence."
And with that, the two cosmic entities ventured into the heart of the conflict, where heroes and villains clashed in a battle that would determine the fate of Universe 616. As they joined the fray, the lines between observer and participant blurred, revealing the intricate dance of fate and choice that spanned across the cosmos.
