1 long story later…
"And that's how Mari successfully broke one of her legs, ticked off one of the village leaders, and became grounded for a whole month"
"Ahahaha!", Milo laughed.
"It's not THAT funny!"
"Hahaha, I'm sorry I'm sorry", Milo apologized wiping his eyes, "I didn't know you were that much of a trouble maker"
"Hmph!", I poured turning around and fold my arms.
Man, Gaspard just had to tell that story to Milo. I mean I wasn't THAT bad of the child, I was a lot better when I was with-…my mom and dad.
"Thanks for the story Gaspard, but…how am I going to be there when Tara goes through more pain?", Milo asked
"Then you can count me and the others to look after her in your place", Gaspard said, "Remember this: You and her are not alone."
"…"
"You're right, thank you Gaspard", Milo thanked, "Well better goes check on Tara", he said getting up.
"Not before eating first", Gaspard said pointing to Milo's food.
"Oh, right", Milo said sitting back down.
…I got up and started walking away.
"Where are you going Mari!", Milo asked.
"Just, going for a walk", I said looking back with a smile.
"Okay, wow this is good", I heard Milo say while leaving.
I walked from the village, to docks, and on the ship. Resting my arms on the side of the ship, I took a moment to look at the sky. It's being so long…
"Mari?", I heard someone say.
"Oh, Gaspard", I said looking back, "Heheh, didn't see you there", I giggled with a smile.
"…What's wrong child?"
"…!", I…turned around and faced the sky again.
I heard Gaspard walk up to me.
"…I miss them…all of them"
"…Me too", Gaspard said gently holding my hand, "Me too…"
….
The next morning…
….Mmmm…., morning already? *Yawn* it feels like I just went to sleep a few hours ago. I took a biiig stretch…*sigh* then looked around the room. Yup, everyone's still asleep. Aaannd I still have these pretty things Tara hung beside the bed. What were they called again? Catchers? …Oh right Tara! But, it's still morning and they probably won't let me in to see her this early.
"Uuuugh…I'll just go make me some breakfast", I complained rubbing my eyes then propped myself up.
I quietly made my way out the cabin, that was until something nudged my leg. I don't see, barracuda? Oh dang, I completely forgot them the time. They flew up to me and started…saying something, I don't know, I don't speak fish. Whatever it was, I opened the door, made my way into the hold, and to the kitchen. The whole time, barracuda followed me. Looks like they're hungry too. I wasn't in the mood to do anything big, sssoo I just found some bread and jelly. Quick and basic, mmm tasty too. Oh right, the fish.
"Hold on", I said walking to the corner of the kitchen, "Ah, here we go".
Found a wooden bucket of food pieces and fish parts. Normally I would throw this out the window, buuut I'm glad I kept it now this moment. I gave it to barracuda, and it ate it up. Wow it was hungry. Maybe I could make Tara something…nope still not in the mood.
An hour and 30 minutes later…
"You all must really care for this girl if you waited out here this long", said a bison, "Come on in then, but no physical interactions", they said making way for us.
We all walked into the big tent Tara was staying in and saw her laying flat on a bed while another bison sat next to her.
"Child, your friends are here to see you", the bison said gently.
"Oh, good morning everyone", Tara greeted with a soft smile, "Oh!", she said after Barracuda quickly laid on her lap.
"Ah!", the bison shouted in shock, "Hey now!"
"*HHHHIIIISSS*"
"Barracuda, be nice"
"I, will just leave", the bison said getting up then left.
"Tara, how do you feel?", Milo asked concerned.
"I'm okay, however, I won't be able to move for a while", Tara said facing Milo.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help you", Milo said with his head down.
"Don't be", Tara said placing her hand on Milo's head, "I should be the one apologizing, I'm sorry to make you all worry so bad"
"Child, don't move that arm even if you can move it"
"Right", Tara apologized putting her arm down, "Can I have something to eat please?", she asked the bison.
They politely nod, got up, and left the room.
"Oh hello, have you come to visit her too?", we heard the bison asked outside the tent.
"Yes, we like to say our thanks", said someone outside the tent.
"Go on, but no physical contact"
"Understood"
Who were they talking to? The tent entrance opened up and the Free Ranger and Tonka walked in.
"Hey there kid, you feeling alright?", Free Ranger asked walking up to the bed.
"I'm okay, how about you and Tonka?"
"Right as rain, I can't thank you and your crew enough for saving my old friend"
"Yes", Tonka agreed with a light nod, "Without you, they would have found where Captain Blood be"
Rriiight, Captain Blood! Completely forgot about that! Before I could say anything, Red Rust beat me to the question about where that pirate is.
"I may not know where he is, but, I do know where he could be", Tonka said.
"And that is?", Bonnie asked.
"The haunted skyways"
