Rebecca

One hour and 30 minutes later…

"Now that's what I call a job well done", Rooster Cogburn said looking at the criminals in the cells, "Thanks again for the help"

"No problem", Eli said with a smile and nod.

"Alright, let's get you that paperwork I promised", Rooster Cogburn said walking over to his desk.

If once, helping someone has gotten us somewhere. It was quicker to get done now that was had more help. Luckily, Tara wasn't here to help nearly every single being that needed it. And thank GODS blondey isn't here to get me a migraine with her annoying mouth and her reckless sailing.

"There", Rooster Cogburn said putting the papers together then handed it to Eli, "Be careful in those skyways, I heard there are more spirits running amok"

"Thank you", Eli said taking the papers, "And don't worry about us, we can handle this"

Cogburn nodded and tipped his hat as we made our way out the jailhouse.

"Oh, by the way", Rooster Cogburn said stopping us, "Those papers are for you in Fort McMurtry, meet up with Colonel Church and he'll explain the rest"

"Alright, thanks again", Eli again.

"Do you really think we can handle this Eli?", I heard Betty asked in front of me.

"Don't know to be honest, but we'll be fine"

He sounded just like Blondey at that moment: unsure, but over confident. Hope he doesn't give me a headache.

"So, you guys know how to get to these Haunted Skyways?", Bonnie asked.

"Kai you still got the map of this world?", Eli asked Kai.

Kai nodded, digging in their bag, and took out…a rather big map. She opened up showing how big this world is. Too big.

"Hmmm… we could take the back way using Santo Pollo Skyways, though", Kai said then paused.

"Though what?", I questioned.

"We'll be pretty farther from Fort McMurtry, which we will have to fight some seriously nasty creatures on the way"

"Are there any other ways?", I questioned folding my arms.

"Weeell there's always the Arroyo Grande, but it's under construction"

"What kind of construction?"

"Railroad"

You've got to be kidding us, "*Sigh* what about the long way?", I regrettably asked placing my hand on my head.

"3 to 5 hours, at least", Kai said pointing to the map.

Oh my good gods, why is this place so complex?

"But it will get us to the side of Fort McMurtry"

"If we're going to these cursed skyways, I recommend we use to long way to prepare our weapons", Bonnie said.

"Hm, I agree", Kobe said with a single nod.

One by one everyone started to agreed with Bonnie's suggestion, I gave in and agreed with everything. 3 to 5 freaking hours, we'll be ready before we even get there. Then Betty suggested we go eat first since no one has eaten breakfast yet. I really really hate to waste anymore time, but my stomach agreed. How embarrassing.

"Alright, but let's go somewhere else beside Bison Village", Gaspard suggested, "Their food, not very fulfilling", he said adjusting his hat.

"Yyyea", We all said at the same time.

"You guy know any good places?", Milo asked scratching his back

"We could go to the Silver Spur Salon here", Eli said pointing with his thumb.

Sure, why not.

1 hour later…

"I must say, that was quite the meal", Eli said putting down his fork.

Everyone agreed, I was too busy eating.

"Y'all need anything else, perhaps a refill on your drinks", the waitress asked holding a platter with a glass set on it.

"Actually we like to pay and leave now", Eli said after wiping his mouth.

I would say finally, but then again, this food was so good I kept on eat. I almost didn't want to stop until I remembered we had somewhere to be. As for the bill, we uh…we a tad bit lucky the waitress was nice. To say the least. I realllly don't want to saying it, it's too embarrassing.

One hour and 56 minutes later…

Just hanging out in the cabin and laying on my bed until further notice. Think I might take a nap. Just before I was about to do that, I heard someone open the door. It was Milo.

"Oh hello Rebecca", Milo said looking at me.

"Hey"

"I'm just going to lay on my hammock", Milo said smiling and pointing.

"Alright", I said turning over.

….

"Rebecca"

"Yea?"

"You think Tara will heal from that wound anytime soon?"

"Don't think so"

"Hmm", Milo said, "It's just,…part of me doesn't want her to heal? In a way?"

The heck?

"Why would you say that?", I asked turning over to face Milo

"I guess, it would keep her out of danger" Milo said.

"Milo, that's messed up"

"I know I know, I just don't want to lose her again"

"Why, are you so obsessed with Tara anyway?"

"She's my family, and I value both my family and hers"

"….", I sit up and put my feet on the floor, "Milo, you can't stop Tara. She has a goal, and she's head strong on achieving it"

"…"

"Maybe think about her values before you put yours first"

"…."

"…well, I'm going to rest", I said laying back on the bed facing to the catchers, "You should too"

"Mm…"

Hmmm…I feel, bad? But it's true in a way. Hmmm…these catchers, they look a little different from the first time I've seen them.
