One explanation later…
"Captain Blood's lair you say?, Colonel Church said, "Well I'm afraid I don't know where that is"
No shocker.
"Look, I'm sure your mission is urgent. But right now Fort McMurtry need more help, and now"
You have got to be kidding me.
"What's the problem?"
You have really, GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
"It's these blasted ghost ships", Colonel Church said, " They have taken over the whole skyways and threaten to overrun the Fort, we can't take another ambush"
"So you want us to sail into that sky and fight a bunch of dead guys?", Bonnie questioned pointing.
"I'm afraid so, we need a ship that can fly out and engage those undead", Colonel Church said, "Keep them from massing while we have time to build our defenses"
"I don't think we're enough to take down those ships", Eli said sounding pretty unsure.
"I know, that's why I'm giving you some reinforcements"
"Whoa what?!", Eli said surprised.
"Sergeant Hartman has some new recruits that are in need of some training, and you lot are just what he needs to whip them up to shape"
"How many are we getting?", Eli asked.
"Let's see", Colonel Church said turning around, "Sergeant Hartman!"
"Yes sir", said the sergeant who walked over to us.
"How many new recruits do you have?"
"About 5, do you mind me asking?"
"I got some trainers for your recruits"
"Oh good, thought we won't going to have time", Sergeant Hartman said sounding relieved, "Hmmm…they look tough enough, I'll go get the rookies", he said before observing us one by one then walked off.
"Good, now listen up", Colonel Church said sounding demanding, "I hereby conscript you all in the name of the Army to defend this fort and trainer of the recruits, understood!"
"Yes sir", we all said.
"I got them all right here", Sergeant Hartman said with 5 other birds, "They're feeble, scrawny, and don't stand a chance against a ghost ship, buuut they're a pretty good shot"
I don't know if I should be okay or worried, mmm I'm leaning towards worried. Whatever, we have more people again. We all walked towards the docks while these birds followed us, feels semi-awkward. Is being in the military this…stiff?
42 minutes later…
"Dang it they're boarding the ship", Eli said at the steering wheel, "Everyone to battle!", he said running to the deck.
Great we're being attack by skeletons, again. Tara's not here to split us into teams or give battle tactics, so it's just a free for all now. Wait a minute, I've got an idea.
"Hey you birds!", I said, "Each of you group up with someone, except Bonnie the fox", I said pointing.
"Yes ma'am", the 5 Birds said.
"What, really Rebecca?"
"You blast away those traps alright?"
"Yea yea", Bonnie said walking off.
Alright let's get this over with.
38 minutes later…
Not like I care, but Blondey is going to have a field day when she sees the state of this ship. As for everyone else, I…I honestly don't know. I'm too busy getting myself together after all that fighting we just did. Seriously, gain a lot of good experience from those fights. Now would I try this again? Heck to the gods dang no! At least we have more people helping, and they ain't half bad. Oh look we're back in Fort McMurtry.
"You guys go on ahead", Eli said looking back at all of us, "I'm going to check on my sister"
Fair enough, the rest of us made our way towards where Colonel Church was.
"Colonel Church", I said stepping in.
"Report, oh, you lot", Colonel Church said turning around then noticed us.
"We got rid of those ships that was not easy, bare in mind", I said folding my arms.
"Rebecca, manners", Gaspard whispered to me.
"Thank you kindly for your help" Colonel Church thanked, "Now while you away, I learned a thing or two about what your looking for"
Good. He tells about a rat named Sabatini, which sounds like a pasta dish if you ask me, and how he once lived here for some strange reason. He soon disappeared when the ghost ships started showing up, saying that it was the end of everything or something like that. Rumor has it he's hiding in an abandoned old church not to far from here. Great, just need to check the place and hopefully we are good. Before we could go, Sergeant Hartman walked over asking about the rookies. I told them they were good in combat, but they still need some work. One of them has a little bit shaky aim, the other needs to work on their dodging skills, and the last three neeed to increase their agility 'cause they were SO SLOW! He, and everyone around, were impressed by that. I on the other hand reallllyy want to get to that church.
16 minutes later…
We got Eli after he had checked on Betty, who was still recovering. Poor girl, didn't deserve that. Made it to the church though. Got to say, this place has seen better days: the roof has a massive hole outside, dead plants everywhere, and…yup that's an old graveyard around there. Okay let see, and hope, Sabatini is still here.
"Um guys", Kai said by the church doors.
Ooooh no, oh please no.
"Please don't let them be more undead, I need a break", I complained.
"No it's, something else", Kai said walking in the church.
What the, what the heck happened here?! There's skeletons EVERYWHERE!
"Oh no", Kobe said sounding concerned.
"What is it Kobe,…oh no", Gaspard said.
"Hey, hey, let me see", I said pushing Gaspard and Kobe aside.
…No, Sabatini is…dead?
