The Next Day
It was bright and early, Arnold had already left his place as he had gone to SilverStone Memorial to check on Spinelli. Travis and Nadine were released hours before morning. Not to mention, he was awfully sore that morning, and had a bit of a hard time using the bathroom, to say the least….
Arnold soon arrived at her recovery room and found her still intubated. A doctor soon came by.
"Oop. Sorry!" It was Dr. Young from last night. "Oh, you're fine." Arnold stepped aside so she could enter.
Dr. Young's last name was more or less too literal as she actually looked young despite being in her late thirties.
She put on gloves to remove the tracheal tube from Spinelli's throat. It took around a minute or two.
"I believe you are…?" Dr. Young asked. "Ah! Arnold Shortman! The billionaire philanthropist! Married to the daughter of the Lloyds! What was her name again?… AH! Rhonda Wellington Lloyd!" The two smiled. "Yup, that's me. In the flesh." They shook hands.
"Is Spinelli here your friend?" Dr. Young finished removing her tracheal tube. "My best friend, actually. My closest friend." Arnold replied with his hands in his jacket pockets.
"Ah, I see. Looks like you got a fighter in her. Despite having a weapon lodged in her abdomen, she's quite strong." Dr. Young smiled. "A reason why she's a great friend." Arnold smiled at Spinelli.
Dr. Young soon inserted a nasal cannula into her nose.
"Alright, I'm all done here, you can stay as long as you like, and if there's anything you need, you know how to get me here." Dr. Young smiled. "I will. Thanks, Doctor…?"
"Dr. Young! I'm sorry, we haven't introduced ourselves properly." She chuckled. He also chuckled as they shook hands again.
She soon walked out of the room.
Arnold soon sat next to her bedside. He then started to hold her hand and rub it gently.
He soon gripped her hand and smiled.
Later
Arnold was still awake and soon felt his hand odd.
Spinelli's eyes started blinking open and looked at her hand. She saw Arnold was beside her.
"That's all I needed to see first thing I wake up." She smiled. "How you feelin' Spinelli? How's your abdomen?"!
"The amount of stinging pain it caused me last night… What happened to the truck?"
"We'll have it rebuilt… Eventually."
"Hey. I heard what Warren and Ariel said about you last night." She started. "Wait, they TOLD YOU what occurred last night at the crime scene?" He asked.
"Of course. While I couldn't say anything with a tube down my throat, I certainly heard you pushed your wife aside just to help me and the others. And well… I don't even know how to thank you. I know it's not easy pushing aside your wife for us-"
"Hey, you're all my family. And Spinelli, you're my closest friend of all." Arnold stood up and stroked her hair.
"Remember how I told you that I love you in Chicago?" She asked. "Yeah, why?"
"It's for reasons like that that I love you. You'd rather sacrifice yourself rather than letting us die and let us see another day." She smiled. Arnold couldn't help but smile. He then sighed. "You alright?"
"I- I'm good. I know I had a dispute with Rhonda last night, and despite our few hours of sex last night, I don't even know how to react anymore…" Arnold replied. Spinelli moved her hand toward his. "Well, it looks like I'll be sidelined as well, hm?" She pursed her lips.
"I hate to say it but… Yeah. And it hurts mainly because I need my best fighters ready for the Cloudburst and the Militia. Spinelli, you're the toughest on this team, and now I don't know how we'll do without your muscle."
"I'm sure you'll do fine. Can I ask you a favor?"
"Anything." He rubbed her hand. "If you get a chance, punch a few soldiers hard in the face for me."
"I will." He smiled as he leaned close to her.
Spinelli looked at her crush dreamily as their heads were close together, slowly leaning closer and closer… The two started to slowly blush.
Soon, their lips pressed together as they slowly started to kiss each other.
After a minute or three, they slowly separated as they dreamily looked at each other in the eye. A line of saliva connected them.
"I guess that's a way I'm able to repay you." She chuckled softly. "I guess so." Arnold gave a small smile.
Arnold soon sat down again as they held hands.
"Feeling alright, Arnold?" She asked. "I guess I also needed a minute away from Rhonda. Thanks, Spinelli." Arnold smiled. Spinelli smiled as well.
"Guess that knife mobile really saved lives, huh?" She chuckled softly. "I'm happy you got inside the truck when you did, otherwise, you wouldn't be here. I wouldn't be here sitting at your bedside, and instead, I would be making funeral arrangements and probably filing for DIVORCE."
"Divorce?! Come on, you can't be serious."
"With the call I made last night, chances were high, in all honesty. But hey, let's not look at what could've happened, let's look at what did happen, and I'm more than happy to see you're alright." Arnold raised her hand and kissed the back of Spinelli's hand.
"Come on, Arnold! Stop it! What if someone I know sees me being treated like a princess?" She blushed. "Come on, let's be real. Who would even care that I'm treating you like the tough princess you are?" Arnold smirked and kissed the back of her hand again.
"Thanks, Arnold…" Spinelli couldn't help but smile at his compassion. "Hope to have you back home before the Militia strike." Arnold rubbed her hand.
Four Days Later
Spinelli was discharged from SilverStone Memorial Hospital and was back home with her beloved crush Arnold, and her team, her friends. Nadine and Travis sustained minor injuries so they were ready to be back in action.
Most of them were downstairs, chatting away while drinking one bottle of booze each. Only two members were missing down there. Three, actually. Who were they? Arnold and Rhonda, and Olivia. Where were they?
THUD
Olivia just finished up a training simulation Impulse had helped her set up. She was about to move on toward the UFRT drills. Wait… Where IS the truck?
Unfortunately, the truck was too damaged to be repaired. Many pieces were broken off, the mirror, the windshield was broken, and the siren light casing was broken and too pointy to work with. The only option was to rebuild it.
Now that that's all out of the way, where were Arnold and Rhonda? Where they usually are since they love each other deeply…
Rhonda was reaching for her tube of lipgloss, but what was she doing? Arnold was on top of her while they kissed passionately. They were fully nude.
Rhonda giggled as they separated for a moment. She started applying her lipgloss, and she then felt something poke her thigh. They looked down.
"Ugh, Arnold!" Rhonda scoffed. "I know you love having sex with me, but can you stop getting hard for once? I already sucked and jerked it! What else do you want? Titty fuck? My pussy? This smooth round ass? My throat? What are you?"
Arnold gulped. "I- it's not my fault I'm able to get hard this easy!" He gave a nervous look. Rhonda chuckled softly. "Arnold, you know I love having sex with you, I do! But I'm starting to get a little concerned for you… You get harder more than usual. And more constant during sex, and thankfully not in the field."
"You're not trying to say…?" Arnold gave a nervous look. "Oh, no, sweetie! Not that! I don't want to stop having sex with you! I just- Am I not enough to make you cum?"
Arnold smiled wholeheartedly. "Oh, Rhonda. You're more than enough! One touch at my dick and BOOM my dick explodes with cum inside your ass. But…" He sighed. "I know I can feel horny for you, but I also noticed I get harder more than usual." Rhonda thought for a moment.
She snapped her fingers. "What if we have a three-way?" Arnold gave a blank stare. "I prefer going no sex." He sat up. Rhonda finished applying her lipgloss and sat up. "Arnold, don't say that! I love the sex we have, but don't you think we should AT LEAST spice it up a little and see what happens with your hardening?" Rhonda suggested. "Ok, so. there's that. Question is, who would we bring in here?" Arnold had a hand on his chin.
"Phoebe? We did it with her once in high school. There's Nadine, we can trust her. Unless her ass is bigger than mine but I could give two fewer shits. Spinelli? Though it may be her first time… Ariel? She's had an eye on you for a while. Why not give her a chance? Sapphire? She's a love lantern soooo…. Why not take your pick?"
Arnold sighed. "We'll just have to see… Can I kiss you now? Those smooth beautiful lips aren't gonna kiss themselves, you know." Arnold smirked. "I'm all yours, honey." Rhonda wrapped her arms around his neck. She then threw themselves back onto the bed, giggling before they started to make out. Their tongues would explore the insides of their mouths.
Twenty Minutes Later
After their little make-out session, Arnold and Rhonda soon came down to the lair with their jackets zipped up. Olivia was still down there.
"How's my big girl doing today?" Arnold opened his arms for a hug. "Hey, Dad!" Olivia hugged her father. "Phoebe, what are you doing?" Rhonda noticed.
She was currently with the Hybrid as it had been a while since it was used. The Hybrid was currently in its battle mode. The turret was out with the three main weapons. Phoebe was replacing the weapon generator system that fed the missile barrage.
"…. Give me a minute!" She replied.
Arnold and Olivia looked over. Olivia got to thinking.
She tugged on his jacket lightly. "Daddy? With all the fires we've been caught up in, don't you think it's time we get a refresher on how to fight the Militia? Never hurts to do so." Olivia shrugged. "Olivia, you genius! See, Rhonda?" Arnold looked at his wife. "She gets her smarts from me!" Arnold smirked.
"Piss off before I go to Spinelli and ask how to smash a laptop over your head in your sleep." She lowered her eyelids. Arnold merely chuckled. "I doubt she'd agree to help you on that." He clapped twice as he walked forward with Olivia, and Rhonda followed behind.
"Impulse? Get everyone down here. It's time we do a training simulation. It's been too long since we used that simulation room too. Plus, we need a refresher on how to take on the Militia. You have all the necessary information on the soldiers? Their powers, the weapons they use, how to take out the medics, etc?" Arnold asked. "I'll have everything set up, Sir." He replied.
Arnold rubbed Olivia's shoulder and kissed her forehead. "Don't think just 'cause you're my daughter you're gonna get special treatment." He smirked. "I don't expect it in the slightest, Daddy." She smirked back.
"Sir, I'm sorry to interrupt, but the Lloyds are at the door." Impulse chimed in. "I'll be up in a sec."
"I always see that when we're in bed." Rhonda smirked. "Quit it! Not in front of Olivia!" Arnold lightly elbowed her. Olivia raised an eyebrow at them.
After the team was being guided by Impulse on the training simulations, how to properly take on the Militia, all the techniques they use, etc, Arnold and Rhonda were upstairs for the moment as they greeted their parents. Gerald and Spinelli wouldn't participate due to their injuries and would only watch and monitor.
Brooke hugged her son-in-law. "How's my precious boy?" She gave a long kiss on his cheek, making him blush. "Mom!" Rhonda crossed her arms. "Oh, honey, I'm only treating my boy the way he is." She giggled.
"How's it been with you guys? And why do you two look sore?" Buckley mentioned. "Let's not go there…" Arnold blankly replied.
"So Arnold, how's everything with the Militia? We know you guys haven't seen much of them, but we did just a few minutes ago." Buckley started. "WHAT?! When?!" Arnold replied, shocked.
"It's true, honey, we managed to catch a clear photo of the new tank they rolled out onto the streets. Thankfully, it hasn't been on a rampage, and we were pretty far from it. We thought you two should have a look." Brooke pulled out her phone and showed the picture.
"Arnold, the Militia never used that tank before, that must be an experiment they're running! It's twice as bigger than the other tank drones they have!" Rhonda mentioned.
The tank was twice as bigger than the other Militia tank drones they built, and this one looked worse. It had a bigger turret that destroyed anything with one shot, and had a visible blue sensor ray to scan the area for its target.
"We can't pull anyone out of training, looks like it'll be just you and me, like old times before we had anyone else. You in?" Arnold smirked at his wife. "Am I in? Boy, am I ever!" She slapped his butt. "Hey!" She ran off. He followed behind.
Later
"Nada up here." Rhonda was in the QR Jet searching for the tank. Shadow was in the Hybrid.
"Hey, what's that blue- Oop. Shadow, get your ass over here now! I found our missing tank!" She went on her earpiece.
The QR Jet landed farther away, and Shadow soon met up with his wife.
"Dear God. That thing looks way bigger in person…" Rhonda mentioned. "Sir, that tank's armor is no match against the Hybrid's weaponry." Impulse told the two.
"But I am." He replied. "And exactly what are you going to do?" Rhonda looked at her husband. "It sounds like a big gamble, but here's the plan. If we have to find a weakness, I have to get in real close to it scan it, and find any weaknesses."
Rhonda kissed his cheek. "Be careful."
A voice came over their earpieces.
"Attention all units. Cobra unit has been dispatched to sector two-five-one. All non-essential personnel clear the area. The Hybrid doesn't own these roads, we do." It was Haidra's robotic voice.
"A Cobra Tank?" Rhonda raised an eyebrow. "Gotta hand it to them, at least, pretty cool name." Arnold shrugged as his suit transformed to armor mode.
While he flew directly behind the new Cobra unit, Rhonda awaited near the Hybrid.
