The next morning, Alexandra, the Tricolor sailors and Pravda were preparing for their big move, overthrowing Kerensky. With the victory they had secured from preventing Nathalia from taking over Saunders the night before, their morale was high and they wanted to put Fumie in charge and begin their communist rebuilding of the school. Their numbers had swelled into their thousands as many of the students loyal to Kerensky had defected to their side. They were planning to strike tomorrow as there was still some planning they needed to do before they made their move.
"We've scouted ahead and we've figured out where everything is. We need to be able to strike while everyone's heads are turned the other way and the possibility of that happening now is very high. No one seems to care about what is going on at this point." Konstantina began as if they needed to seize objectives, the telegraphing station, the train station and the granary. "We should send the papers to get the people's attention if we are to do the revolution tomorrow." Konstantina also added that getting the attention of the people was very important if their revolution was going to succeed.
"Okay print the flyers out to get the attention of the people, we're going to arm them on mass for the revolution. I want to keep Natalia in hiding for the time being and when the people are armed to attack, we will have the Cruiser Aurora fire a blank round to signal the start of the revolution. We've been coordinating with the cruiser close by to us for the past few days, we're going to give the go ahead to fire the blank shot and it will be our signal." Lisa explained to the group what the plan was, seize up the important sectors of the ship and then move onto the school itself. Once that was completed, they decided to move onto step two. "Peace with Kuromorimine is important if we are to secure our position in the school and fight off any counter revolutionaries. Kay is the biggest threat to our minds if we can come to think about it. We can't fight a two front war."
"Yep. I will spend the time training the cavalry brigades as we still need good horses." Alexandra explained that they needed to have fast moving units that didn't eat up much of their limited fuel reserves. "Grain is also very important so we might have to go to the grain shops to try to figure out how to distribute said grain between the people and the horses, the horses need fodder too if they are to gallop onward."
"Yep, we should try deciding on what we should do afterward. With Natalia wanting to stay hidden for the time being, we should put Lisa in charge of the revolution." Clementia explained. "Lisa, you wouldn't mind if you started handing out the rifles, revolvers and machine guns to all of the students right?" Clementia asked that they should begin getting ready to start the revolution. Lisa nodded and started to open up crates for the rifles. Clementia and Konstantina meanwhile went off to start printing out the papers. As the papers began to get printed, they spread across the school like wildfire as the people were mostly sick of Kerensky and the aristocratic rule that had been installed in Kay's absence. Kerensky was busy reading a paper before a new paper was injected into his room. Curious what this new paper was. He walked over to where it had been dropped off before he picked up the paper and began to read it.
"The Bol'shinstvos plan on having an armed revolution? I did not see that coming." Kerensky told himself. He brought the paper back and continued to read. It didn't take him long before he knew that he was at risk. He had to get out of there. He pressed his finger on the button to make the announcement. "Will someone begin arresting the Bol'shinstvos so this revolution doesn't happen?" Kerensky gave the order for the students to begin being rounded up and arrested, looking like they had broken the deal.
As Kerensky began to make the arrests to try to prevent the revolution from happening. Fumie and her friends were making the preparations to carry the revolution out to take control. Thousands of students had rifles now as the Red Guard were going to take control tomorrow morning. The sun was beginning to set while the students were still preparing themselves for the revolution. Then Nonna came running into the room with urgent news.
"Guys! Guys! Kerensky has given the order to begin arresting us once again!" Nonna called out urgently. There wasn't much they could do as their members were being rounded up. Fumie and the group looked at each other as they had to change their plans to prevent them from being thrown into prison and therefore have the revolution thwarted.
"Then we must commence the revolution right now!" Fumie called out. "Change of plans everyone, the revolution is going to be happening as we speak. Aya, get the Cruiser Aurora to fire the shot into the air."
"On it." Aya told them as she began to head off to tell those that were still on the cruiser to fire the shot that will signal the beginning of the revolution. The other students got themselves ready as it was now or never. They went off to prepare their take over of the school.
As the sun turned into the moon, the students on the cruiser were getting themselves ready. One of the students looked up as they knew that Saunders was going to have the revolution it was going to crave so much happen. Some of the students loaded up a firecracker shell into one of the guns and pointed the naval gun into the sky. The gun fired off as it recoiled to send the shot high into the sky. With the shot flying up, it exploded into a brilliant red firework. Lisa looked ahead and waved her hand.
"Now is the chance to have the revolution! Davai!" Lisa shouted. She began to charge on head with Alexandra's group as they were now ready, they were holding red banners to signal that they weren't part of Saunders at all nor did they have an allegiance to them. Lisa and her group made their rush to the train station as that was one of the said objectives they needed to take if they were going to have. Controlling the means of transportation of the school was step one to the method of being successful. The students knocked on the door inside before the station master opened the door. Lisa and the group stormed into the building with no resistance. For them this was an easy victory. Lisa and the group guarded the flag as the flag was changed from the Saunders banner to the plain red banner. The men inside looked on while they figured out there was nothing they were going to do.
"The train station is ours! We should hold while you help with the storming of the school and maybe get Natalia to play a bigger role." Yekaterina told Lisa that they were going to hold the train station, the more important task was to take the school and arrest those that were inside.
"On my way!" Lisa told the group. Lisa was escorted by a couple of the sailors while they made their way to the center.
Katyusha meanwhile was preparing to take the Granary as seizing that would mean controlling the food supply of the ship. Alexandra was counting on them to take the granary so she could begin distributing the food by how she saw fit. Katyusha and Nonna were still waiting for the news regarding Lisa's taking of the train station, if she had taken it, they were going to launch the attack and seize the granary.
"Unbelievable." Nonna began. "Lisa took the train station with no resistance. We should expect the same attack and we can complete all of this at night time." Nonna explained. Katyusha knew now was the chance to attack.
"Now!" Katyusha shouted while she fired her pistol into the air. With the shot fired, the students began to leap from their positions and charge out to the granary like there was no tomorrow. Katyusha raced ahead while the others charged in behind her. No one was daring to fight back as the guards didn't want any type of participation regarding what was going on, demoralized they were as they had no chance of winning. Within a few moments, Katyusha and her friends stormed past them as the guards had measly sidestepped to avoid the flood of Pravda students and Sailors. Katyusha and the others had managed to take the school's food supply regarding what had happened. "Okay grain supply has been secured, they didn't bother firing a shot at us." Katyusha explained that the granary was theirs. Now all that needed to be taken before the school was the telegraph station to control the communications. Katyusha and Nonna went off to help prepare for the final assault.
Konstantina and Clementia meanwhile were preparing for their attack on the telegraph station. Hearing that the train station and granary fell to no resistance, they were hoping for much the same way. They were going to be doing this on foot as they had no access to the cavalry.
"All right, we need to prepare to get out there and take control of the telegraph building, once that building is in our hands, we should be able to control all of the communications of the school." Konstantina laid out the instructions of what exactly is to happen. The students rose up and cheered with their rifles in hand. Now was the chance to go out there and attack. Clementia got out the whistle before blowing it. She went out first as Konstantina followed her. The students charged out after them as there was no tomorrow for any of them. There was nobody guarding the door so Clementia was able to race ahead and take it with no one daring to lay a finger on her. Konstantina and the others charged on ahead as if they were the cavalry to the attacking force that was going to go after them. After flooding the building, Konstantina went over to the communications and began to tap away.
Telegraph building has been captured, three of the outlying objectives had been captured with no resistance. It is only appropriate to move in and take the school down. The telegraph was going to read. Now that Fumie had controlled the food, transportation and communications there was only one objective left to do.
"Storm the winter palace and arrest the provisional government." Lisa gave the order for them to go in there and arrest whoever was leading the school from the inside. Lisa knew that the most important members were going over to help participate in the storming of the school. Now the only member that was missing from the entire group was Fumie. Lisa quickly looked for her before she heard a rustling from the bush. Lisa looked into the bush as she spotted someone speaking to whoever was inside of it.
"Is it safe to come out yet?" Fumie asked Lisa if she could get out of the bush and play a bigger role in the revolution.
"I think so." Lisa replied. Fumie then jumped out of the bushes, excited to play a bigger role in the revolution.
"Fear my revolutionary might!" Fumie shouted. A few little girls were happily playing around when Fumie had decided to make herself known. One of the little girls was looking up at her while holding a candy pop in her hands. Fumie was ready to take it for herself. "Give me that." Fumie told the girl before snatching it up. Fumie had come out of hiding and was ready to do her part. With her at the helm, all that remained was to storm the school and arrest those inside.
Lisa and the others bashed their way into the building with their rifles before flooding the courtyard with their own troops. The students cheered happily while the tidal wave of students, red banners and rifles was heard. Fumie was flying the personal banner of hers that read: Власи Совбтам! Мир народу! Земля - кросавцам! Хлеб - рабочим!
The students found their way into the building as they were now consumed with the lust of finding and taking down anyone who supported the regime. One last obstacle lay ahead of the students, a large force of female students that was guarding the upstairs portion of the building known as the Battalion of death. This battalion… immediately dropped their rifles at the site of so many Pravda students and gave up. Fumie raced ahead sensing she had won.
"YIPPEE!" Fumie shouted. Pravda had successfully taken over Saunders in the matter of mere hours but the revolution was bloodless as everyone didn't seem to really care what was going on. The students went out of their way to arrest those that had supported Kerensky.
"Well Fumie, we got bad news, Kerensky escaped, he left when he found out we were having the revolution." Clementia explained to the group that the leader of the old government had escaped.
"Who cares, we're in charge of Saunders now and we should begin rebuilding the school as we see fit. We're going to have our communist dream realized." Fumie cheered as the students had seemed to be on their high but even though Fumie was now in charge, the school's problems were far from over. "Now then let's get to work shall we?" Fumie asked as there was a lot that needed to be done if they were going to improve the school and push forward their ideals.
Fumie promised to the people what the Provisional Government and Kay hadn't promised. Land was now under the control of Pravda and was redistributed to the peasants, rationing had reopened as it was a means to feed the people and prevent starvation, but war with Kuromorimine was going to take some time and was the remaining issue. First thing Fumie now had to do was stabilize Saunders.
"Grain round ups are being requested, we're purchasing Rye from other schools to feed the people and oats to feed the horses, land will be parceled out to the people, and work shifts will be introduced to the people so they could focus on raising their families." Fumie told the group what the achievements were that they made in a few short hours. The progress was being implemented. Clementia opened the door as she had to speak to Fumie about some concerning problems that had popped up.
"Fumie, we learned that Nathalia has escaped from jail. She and her supporters are fleeing southward. We're also beginning to face rebellions from marginalized groups of students on the outskirts and Kuromorimine whom we are still at war with but the biggest threat as of this moment is the Donskie Kazaki who have raised an army of four thousand students to oppose us." Clementia explained who wanted to fight Pravda held Saunders. Fumie placed the papers down to talk to Clementia.
"So the counter revolution has revealed itself?" Fumie asked Clementia. Clementia nodded yes while Fumie knew the only way to disperse this crowd was by force. "Send the Red Guard to smash these Donskie Kazakis." Fumie gave the order to have this army be destroyed.
"Yes Fumie." Clementia told Fumie. She turned and walked off to dispatch the Red Guard to scatter the enemy. With Clementia gone, now Fumie could begin to make more important decisions to help stabilize their position even more. Then another knock was heard, the door opened to reveal that it was Alexandra. She walked over as she had some important news for Fumie.
"Fumie, I would like to report that the school still has the Gregor Legion inside and they would like to be sent home." Alexandra began speaking to Fumie that the Gregor Students that had been with them for this entire time needed to return to their home school. Fumie began to think about it, she wasn't too keen about a few thousand students from another school in her captured territory. She began to think about it for a moment before she began to speak.
"Tell them that they are free to use the trains but they need to pay in rifles if they are to keep going." Fumie told Alexandra that she wanted all of her rifles back if they were going to go home. If they had borrowed them, they needed to give them back." Fumie explained that they could use the trains to be evacuated but they needed to pay it up using the weapons that Saunders had supplied them with. Alexandra nodded and she began to walk off. She turned back to see Fumie one more time before she began speaking.
"I will see you later." Alexandra told Fumie that she needed to get going. Fumie nodded while Alexandra was out the door.
"See ya." Fumie replied.
The day grew longer as progress was being made rapidly, with workers rights and the redistribution of land being put into effect, the people were slowly becoming happier with their new leader. Whenever they brought up the Kuromorimine problem, they wanted the war to end. Fumie would say that is being worked on as they were still fixing the school up before any peace talks were going to commence. It was around lunch time when the new group held their first meeting.
"Looks like we're off to an okay start. Workers of the world are uniting." Fumie began the lunch meeting. The food was going to be oat porridge as there wasn't much food to go around neither was there much money either. "We are making progress at breakneck speed as little by little, the ordinary people would come to like us."
"Once peace has been established, we can focus on reestablishing the cavalry." Nadezhda told the group while trying to prevent her long hair from getting into the porridge.
"Last night was a victory for the Petrograd Sovetskikhs and the Bol'shinstvos." Fumie declared to the group that they were still riding on the high of last night's victory and they were ready to keep pushing on ahead. Then Lisa remembered something and she decided to speak.
"Hey Natalia, before we got rid of Kerensky, they said they were going to hold elections, should we go ahead with those?" Lisa asked Fumie if they should hold an election regarding what was going on with Pravda.
"Of course, we can't have a communist utopia without high levels of political participation. The Proletariat should be free to decide on who should be their leader." Fumie explained that they should make some elections to decide what the people wanted to do. Maybe they could head into another direction if the people wanted to. Himari and Yuri were watching this as they felt angry that Pravda had taken over and kicked them out so they could no longer get what they wanted.
"Gah! I hate Pravda now making our decisions. I heard they were holding an election, should we try to get more votes than them and convince the people to support us?" Yuri asked if they could cheat the election and start rallying the people to go against the Pravda students and take over once again.
"Good idea, we'll take over and then we'll rule the school together." Himari explained. They snuck off while Fumie was planning out the election. Maybe Fumie's problems were popping up all over the place and they were having trouble patching them down.
When one problem is fixed, five more pop open as fixing the leak was proving more and more costly.
[A/N]: Revolution has been completed and now Pravda has control of Saunders. There are some pockets of resistance as Fumie has now inherited a ton of problems from Saunders ever since they entered the war. Now the workers need to work day and night to patch the school together and fix all the problems but new troubles are brewing: Rebellions are now taking form and Fumie is going to still be fighting. It's not going to end well for any of them.
Congrats on getting to 4k views this kind of snuck up on me as I wasn't expecting it and maybe we can get more views. This story is wearing the brain down again and thinking about taking another hiatus to work on other things. I'm just rambling at this point, see you later. Goodbye.
