"I'm sorry for what I'm about to do, but this is for your own good!" Spinelli was about to smash her fist at Shadow, but she felt her arm stop.

"Huh?!" Shadow pulled a counter move. Stopping her arm and twisting it around and yanking her head to his knee.

"AUGH!" She collapsed and had her hands covering her face.

"I'm surprised he didn't teach you better. Well, that's too bad. I was hoping for something more exciting…" Golden Shadow said.

"You want a fight? I'LL GIVE YOU ONE DAM- AUGH OW!" Shadow stomped on her arm with his katana in hand.

"Looks like you finally met your match!" He suddenly yelled and dropped his blade. "OW! AH- AUGH! OW!" He started stepping away.

Swoops stepped in. His beak biting his neck with his talons penetrating his suit. He immediately hovered away from him.

"YOU DAMN EAGLE!" He yelled. "AUGH!"

"GO! Get the others! NOW!" Spinelli told Swoops. He did as he was told and immediately flew away.

"So, you really think you can take me on? I don't think so!" Shadow's eyes started flaring red with minor red smoke coming from them.

"Just shut up and fight me, coward!" She taunted.

The slash of a blade was heard as two sharp blades came from his repulsor gloves.

They soon jumped at one another.

CLANG

Within a couple of minutes, Swoops flew into the lair and screeched.

"Swoops! There you are!" Ariel came over. Swoops hovered near her and squawked.

"What? Arnold's losing it and going head-to-head against Spinelli?"

He screeched again.

"His eye color from earlier? Phoebe!"Ariel called her over.

"I see it! The blood sample we have is having a chain reaction!" She started. "If I can't find a cure within the next five hours, we may lose him." Phoebe gulped.

"Impulse, I think you know what to do." Phoebe said.

"Sending their assignments now."

Soon, Gerald, Nadine, and Sapphire received the alert from Impulse. Rhonda was still sitting out while Spinelli already had her assignment.

"COME ON, DAMMIT!" Spinelli swung punches left and right, but Golden Shadow had faster instincts and dodged them all.

Shadow yanked her last punch, turned her around 360 degrees, uppercut her, and finished with a punch to her chest.

"If you're done wasting my time, I have to leave now." Shadow smirked and soon jumped off the roof.

Spinelli slowly got up while holding her ribs. She then got on her earpiece. "Guys, I…" She gulped. "I lost him." She looked around for a moment.

Soon, it transitioned to a dark warehouse.

"I knew you had to come along. Sooner or later." A voice spoke while red smoke came into view.

A person kneeled. "Lose that outfit, it looks horrendous on you. I have something more advanced for you." The person turned around to reveal a masked Alastor.

"Yes… Master." It was Shadow.

Thirty Minutes Later

"It's been a half hour and we still haven't found him!" Nadine exclaimed while they all looked around on the rooftops.

"He'll pop up sooner or later, we have to keep looking!" Sapphire replied.

While everyone was looking, Spinelli was awfully quiet.

"You've been real quiet, Scar. You alright?" Sapphire asked her. "How am I supposed to feel knowing I let Arnold slip away from my grasp." She gave an annoyed reply.

Sapphire put a hand on her shoulder. "Oh, come on. It isn't your fault. Things like that just tend to happen, we'll find him. Alright?"

"You have an army backing you up, and with me at command, you'll excel at this." Alastor commanded.

"Yes, boss." Shadow had on a different suit. Mostly of all iron, a slim-fitting suit for his athleticism. A more advanced suit with weapons at his disposal.

"Don't let me down." He started. "Now find them and end their pathetic lives."

"Right away, Master." Shadow backflipped once and ran off.

"Phase one is complete." Alastor grinned behind his mask.

20 Minutes Later

Just about nighttime, Swoops came back after scouting the area. "Anything in the air, Swoops?" Spinelli asked once Swoops came back. He only shook his head.

"I'm not gonna be the one to tell Rhonda her husband's missing!"

Everyone yelped. "Wait, NOBODY TOLD HER?!"

"Um…"

"It's fine. I think we can maybe stretch this out a little until we find him, no?" Nadine suggested.

"You're literally her best friend and that's the best you come up with?" Gerald raised an eyebrow.

Soon, everyone started arguing with one another.

SHATTER

"Everyone shut up!" Spinelli shouted as she looked over.

A black armored figure was seen on the rooftop of a chemical building. Blonde hair was also seen.

"That's him, come on!" Spinelli ran off. The others followed behind.

"Still no sign of them, boss, but I'll keep going until I bring them down." Shadow had his usual mask over his face, only more tech-advanced.

Soon, four swooping shadows came down.

"Hey!" Spinelli shouted, making Shadow stop running and look behind.

"Just drop this! You're coming home with us, you're not alright!" Spinelli started. Shadow immediately got into a fighting stance. "Just drop your guard, and let us help you."

Shadow faked a hesitation and also faked dropping his stance. "That's it…" Spinelli slowly approached him.

Shadow immediately jumped at her and kicked her ribs and knocked her backward.

"Looks like there's nothing to talk about." Gerald cracked his knuckles and pulled out his handguns.

Gerald fired his handguns at Shadow, but he dodged every bullet. Shadow pulled out his katana and slashed one of his handguns from his hand.

Trickshot threw a punch but got a knee to the ribs and elbowed at his back.

Nadine grasped him with her spider tentacle arms (tentacle arms from a special pack accessory on her back), but Shadow immediately broke free and fired his repulsors at her. She backflipped away while Sapphire flew to him.

Shadow threw a punch, but Sapphire yanked his arm to his back, choking him, and soon threw him back to the ground.

Somehow, he immediately got back up and caught Sapphire off guard.

She countered one of his punches but he turned around to elbow her face.

Soon, Scarlet had come back and smashed her fist against the side of his face, launching him onto his back and rolling near the edge of the roof.

"Oh my God, ARNOLD!" Spinelli ran over to him.

He was facing the city and acting unconscious.

"Arnold, are you- AUGH!" Shadow spun on his back and kicked her away by her chest.

Shadow immediately flipped in the air and fired repulsor beams at them.

Once he landed, he barrel-rolled forward and started throwing punches at Trickshot.

Trickshot countered all but one, Shadow faking an uppercut. While stepping back, Shadow stomped his foot and made him fall backward.

Sapphire fired a beam at Shadow, but he flipped away and soon flew at her while firing his repulsors.

Right as Shadow was about to reach her, Nadine caught his legs in webbing and yanked him as hard as she could with her tentacle arms.

Shadow pulled out his blade for a moment to slash off the webbing and stored away his katana. He looked back, only to have Sapphire throw a punch to his face and knock him back to the ground.

Shadow crashed against the ground but he immediately got up, not accepting defeat.

He started firing his repulsor beams at them, making them jump out of the way. He then immediately fired a missile barrage from his armor.

Black smoke filled the area, giving Shadow an escape route. Sapphire stopped him.

The two hovered in the air with beams ready to fire at one another. Sapphire's beam lit up more with her fist clenched. Shadow had missiles pop up from his armor, ready for another missile barrage.

"Do it. End it now." Alastor told him through the earpiece. Shadow was now hesitant.

Shadow's arm briefly trembled, but a loud roaring engine flew over fast with some dropping from it.

"THIS ONE'S FOR MY FATHER!" It was Olivia, who dropped from the QR Jet and kicked Shadow out of the air. Sapphire caught her and landed her safely on the building sign.

Shadow crashed against the ground but immediately rolled back to his feet.

All the Vigilantes lined up against him while Shadow had a missile barrage ready against them and blades coming from his repulsor gloves.

Olivia was the first to jump. Shadow tried punching her back, but she hooked around his arm and kicked his face away.

Scarlet and the others charged at him, but Shadow immediately launched the missile barrage, except he didn't.

Sapphire and Nadine got a hold of him. Sapphire used her ring to stop his missile weaponry and destroy them, disintegrating the missiles and weapons to pieces.

Shadow then broke free from their grasp and immediately fired repulsor beams at them.

Trickshot threw a punch, Shadow countered but Trickshot turned around to elbow his face. He turned around to then kick him away.

Spinelli shoved him with her shoulder, Olivia smashing her fist against his face, making him stumble backward. Nadine used her tentacles to yank his legs from beneath him and throw him to Sapphire high above. Shadow was thrown at her and she immediately punched him in the stomach, smashing him into the ground.

Shadow crashed into the ground, leaving a big dent. This time, he was now slow to get up with multiple cuts and scratches on his face. He then pulled out a detonator device and pressed the button with the music ending.

Olivia looked up. "AAAH!"

A signing letter exploded off the letter lineup from the building sign and crashed down on top of the Vigilantes.

Sapphire flew over to shove off the letter off them, with the others helping her.

While they grunted pushing off the letter, Shadow had gotten up again. Olivia was the first to crawl out and noticed him standing there with an angry expression.

He clenched his fists. Soon, the other Vigilantes crawled from the wreckage and had their weapons in hand and in their fighting stances.

Shadow stared them down with an infuriated look. Soon, everyone was seen clenching their weapons as they stared off. Olivia and her katana, Scarlet with her Sai, Trickshot and his handguns, Sapphire and her ring, and Nadine with her tentacles.

Shadow yelled as blades appeared from his gloves.

One by one, everyone jumped into the air to take on Shadow.

CRACK

Shadow smashed his fist against Spinelli's face, making her drop her weapons and go unconscious.

SLASH

Shadow tore off one of Nadine's metal tentacles and punched her across the face.

Shadow then kicked her away as she went unconscious and threw against Spinelli's unconscious body.

Shadow threw a double elbow move against Trickshot, making him drop his handguns. He then kneed his ribs and punched him away, knocking him unconscious as he was thrown to the unconscious bodies.

Sapphire nearly clipped Shadow with a blade, but Shadow spun around and grabbed her arm and then broke it from an underneath punch. He then kicked Sapphire away to the unconscious group.

Olivia was the last one standing. Her blade in hand with her other hand in front making a symbol, while Shadow had his blades drawn. They soon jumped at each other.
