Chapter 9: Wait…What?"

A new Marvel movie has caused both Judy and Nick to wonder about Zootopia. Yep, I had to go there!

"Fanfiction isn't copying - it's a celebration. One long party, from the first capital letter to the last full stop!

"We are never going to hear the end of this," Nick grumbled. The handsome fox in the black ZZ Top tee shirt and denim jeans was sitting at the bar nursing his beer. He looked over at his companion and the rabbit in the pink and blue blouse and jeans was staring at something on her cellphone

"That raccoon was intolerable before but now he is going to be insufferable," Judy agreed after the rabbit set her phone down on the counter.

"Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was a good movie…" the fox offered.

"Yeah, and that is what is going to make it worse."

"Why? Disney finally got another classic out there in the market and that is good for the company and the Marvel franchise."

"Not to mention that Rocket now has to admit that he really is a raccoon."

"Still, it was gross the way that the High Evolutionary experimented on all those animals."

"It was still cool to see another planet populated by walking and talking animals…WAIT!"

"Carrots, are you thinking what I am thinking?" Nick said after he set his glass down and glanced at the rabbit.

"Yeah, what do we really know about Zootopia's past?" Judy slowly asked, the fox could hear a hint of concern in her voice.

"Come on, it's all out there in the Museum of Natural History and in the history books," Nick scoffed.

"Still…what if…"

"Don't go there, Fluff!"

"Nick…"

"Carrots, there is no way that he could have done it! How could he plant false memories in all of us without someone remembering?"

"Maybe he has been doing this for years? I mean he could have started doing it generations ago and all of our past history could be just an elaborate fabrication."

"There is no possible way he could have done such a thing without someone knowing."

"Still, don't you think it strange that we come from a city full of anthropomorphic animals that have technology that is similar to what these humans use?"

"No way…I mean there is just no way that Zootopia is also a Counter-Earth created by the High Evolutionary!"

"There is only one way to find out!" Judy said in a determined tone before she punched her right paw into her left palm.

"Are we going to arrest and question the High Evolutionary?" Nick asked in surprise.

The rabbit shook her head as she picked up her cell phone, "No, Byron!"

"Wait, are we going to arrest and question Byron?"

"No, I'm going to call Byron and ask him."

Nick reached over and put his paw on Judy's arm before she could make the phone call. "What if Byron is in on this? I mean he could have been working with the High Evolutionary...heck, he could even be another creation of the High Evolutionary," he cautioned her.

"Nick?"

"What if Zootopia is real but everything we see around us is really the false Counter-Earth instead?"

"Nick!"

"No, Fluff, think about it. Look, we work with a mouse named Mickey."

"So what?"

"He is a mouse who is big as we are! There are no mice that tall in Zootopia, they are all...ah, mouse-sized."

"Nick?"

"And Mickey hangs around a talking duck who doesn't wear pants and a...well, I'm not sure what kind of creature Goofy really is, but don't you think that is strange?"

Judy sat there staring at her phone while she pondered what Nick had just told her and she had to agree that was indeed strange.
