"Oh, right. For the 100 of you that passed the first test, please turn your attention to the screen." Ness said.
"Is that the test arena?" Luna asked.
"Why are they showing us that?" Aisha wondered.
Suddenly, several city buildings got demolished in massive explosions. The industrial site and the large mountains also got destroyed by the massive explosions. Afterwards, the entire arena was converted into a disaster zone in an instant.
Only Jiro, Yaoyorozu, Kaminari, Kirishima, and Mineta looked completely shaken.
"Hold on." Luna said.
"Wait. Does this mean…?" Izuku said.
"There's only one more round for the exam." Mera explained. "Your goal is simple: undertake rescue exercises and save the bystanders who are trapped in these disaster sites."
"Save the what now?" Kaminari and Mineta said with confusion.
"Bystanders." Hagakure said. "We learned about them in class, remember? They're people at a disaster scene."
"It can also simply refer to innocent civilians on the street." Yaoyorozu added.
"Use this time to show us how you will carry out successful rescue procedures once you receive your provisional licenses." Mera said. "Treat this as though it were the real thing."
"On the screen." Shoji said.
"Little kids and old people?" Sato gasped in shock.
The large screen showed civilians crawling outside the disaster zone.
"That's so dangerous…why're they here?" Mineta asked.
"The specialists have been trained as professional persons in need of rescue. They're very popular." Mera explained. "Introducing the Help Us Company, also known as HUC for short."
"So, they're basically actors, I guess?" Sero said as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"It's the kind of job you never think about." Tsuyu added.
"But a necessary on in our world, since they support our hero training." Ojiro said.
"The HUC bystanders have dressed up like injured victims and will be located throughout the disaster site." Mera continued. "We'll be judging you how well you keep them safe as you go about your mission. Oh, by the way. We'll be scoring you on a point system. If you have more points than the benchmark at the time the exercise comes to an end, then you pass the exam. We'll start in ten minutes. Take care of any necessary preparations now."
Luna stared absently at the screen. She couldn't help but notice the disaster site reminded her of the same disaster attack during the Kamino Incident.
"Hey, Luna. Are you okay?" Diana asked, placing a comforting hand on Luna's shoulder.
"I'm fine." Luna replied. "It's just…I wouldn't be surprised if they created this scenario based on what happened at Kamino Ward."
"They do have very similar situations." Aisha remarked.
"Even though you and Bakugo were rescued from the villains, just thinking about casualties gives me nightmares." Selene said.
Soon after, Luna and Diana began fueling herself with food and drink on the chairs as Selene began debating strategic plans for the final phase of the exam.
Aisha, on the other hand, began chatting with Shoto. But their conservation was cut short when four Shiketsu students unexpectedly approached the U.A. High students. They witnessed a male hairy Shiketsu student named Nagamasa clearing the unfriendly misunderstanding between Katsuki and Seiji because Shiketsu bore no resentment towards UA. Once things cleared up, Shiketsu students walked away.
"Hey. You with the collar." Shoto called out.
"Uh, Shoto. What are you doing?" Aisha asked in surprise.
Inasa stopped walking for a second.
"Did I offend you somehow?" Shoto asked frankly as he walked up to the Shiketsu student.
Aisha followed after Shoto.
Inasa turned his head over his shoulder with an intimidating glare. After a moment of silence, Inasa turned around and looked down at Shoto with a malice look on his face
"Oh, no, I'm sorry. Did I hurt your feelings?" Inasa said. "Well, the thing is, son of Endeavor...I just can't help but hate both of you."
Aisha gasped in shock at the Shiketsu student's words.
"You've changed a little bit since the first time our paths crossed. But you definitely still have your father's eyes." Inasa continued.
Shoto gasped with wide eyes.
Inasa then moved his eyes to Aisha.
"And how could the daughter of Amazonite ever be friends with Endeavor's son?" Inasa questioned. "What a disgrace."
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Aisha snapped as she stepped in front of Inasa. "I don't know nor care about your issue with Endeavor, but Shoto has been my best friend since we were kids. If you have a problem with him, then you have a problem with me. So, don't test me."
Inasa and Aisha glared at each other in a moment of silence.
"Something wrong, Yoarashi?" Nagamasa asked.
"Nope, not a thing, sir!" Inasa replied with a smile.
Bullshit. Aisha growled.
Inasa then walked back to his classmates.
My father's eyes? Shoto repeated.
Aisha placed her hand on Shoto's shoulder.
"Are you okay?" Aisha asked.
"I'll be fine." Shoto replied.
Then suddenly, the signaling sound of a bell immediately caught everyone's attention.
"Villains have performed a large-scale terrorist attack spanning all of Insert City Name Here." Mera announced. "Since most buildings collapsed, there are many injured."
Suddenly, the entire anteroom started to shake and unfold two walls wide open, leaving the student examinees standing on the massive disaster site where their final phrase of the test will begin.
"Due to heavily damaged roads, the first responders have unfortunately been delayed for the time being." Mera added. "Until emergency services arrive, the heroes in the area will lead the rescue efforts. Your task is to save as many people as you can and help the injured. And with that…begin!"
All high school examinees immediately hurried towards the disaster site with quick speed.
"Let's start by heading to the closest urban area." Iida said. "We'll work as a team as much as possible."
"Right!" Class 1-A agreed.
Mina and Diana turned their heads to see Katsuki running off in a different direction from them.
"You're going on your own again?" Mina questioned.
Katsuki growled as he looked back and saw Kirishima and Kaminari following after him.
"Why are you damn extras always following me?" Katsuki shouted.
"We just wanna!" Kirishima and Kaminari replied with smiles.
"Forget them. If they wanna be on their own, that's their problem." Diana said.
"Even though this is just a test, it feels pretty real." Tsuyu said.
"Stay alert!" Ojiro said. "Be careful of falling debris and explosions."
Izuku and Luna stopped running for a moment. They turned their heads and started hearing the sound of childlike crying from the distance.
"Midoriya, Luna, what's wrong?" Iida asked.
"I hear someone." Izuku replied.
"Diana." Luna said, turning her head to Diana.
"I'm on it!" Diana nodded.
Diana manifested her indigo aura around herself and began concentrating on picking up auras, which she managed to perceive an aura of a crying HUC child within the rubble.
"I'm picking up a small child's aura close by." Diana informed.
All Class 1-A students headed over to the crying voice and saw an injured HUC child all alone in a ruined city.
"Look! There he is." Izuku said.
"My grandpa! He's been crushed. I think he's hurt." The HUC child called out.
Class 1-A students approached the HUC child.
"Oh, no. This looks bad." Izuku said with a worried face. "Where is he?"
"This looks bad? That's points off your score!" The HUC child yelled.
Izuku flinched with a yelp.
"The first thing you should do is see how bad my injuries are and if I can walk." The HUC child said. "I'm breathing kinda weird, too, aren't I? and didn't you even notice that I'm bleeding from the head? People with hero licenses should be able to judge a victim's condition in an instant!"
Are the members of HUC the ones who are gonna be scoring us? Izuku thought with a stunned face.
"Your gross lack of training is all too apparent right now." The HUC child continued. "You better shape up and pay attention, newbies!"
Izuku slowly looked calm while continued listening to the HUC child.
"You're not just here to provide aid. Until the police and firefighters show up, you need to exercise authority and make sure this goes off smoothly. Think of the victims here. They must be terrified. There are many aspects of being a hero." The HUC child continued. "But take note. There is one thing to keep in mind above all else. Anyone who needs rescuing is having the worst day of their lives. And the first thing you said was 'This looks bad'? Seriously?"
Izuku's eyes widened with a small gasp. Luna glanced at him as she could already tell that he's feeling frustrated for knowing better on how to approach toward bystander after listening to the HUC child's clarification.
Then, Izuku instantly wore a brave smile on his face.
"Hey! It's fine!" Izuku said.
The HUC child looked silent for a few seconds until he started crying again.
"Over there! My grandpa!" The HUC child cried.
"Don't you worry. We'll definitely save him." Izuku assured. He turned to his classmates. "I can carry this boy to the first aid station myself. You guys, go on without me!"
"All right!" Iida nodded.
"Let's do this." Mineta said.
"Yeah!" Class 1-A students nodded.
As Izuku lifted up the HUC child in his arms and ran off, Class 1-A students started searching for other nearby HUC bystanders.
"It's been ten minutes since we started. Everyone's doing well for the most part." Mera reported from the observation post. "But there's still a ways to go. What's a test without a few surprises. I hope they didn't think things would be straightforward."
Elsewhere, Gang Orca started walking through the darkened corridor towards the arena.
Meanwhile, the second-year students from other schools had already established first aid stations for the injured bystanders while clearing an area for the first responders. In contrast to the first years, the second-year students have great experience on saving lives.
Inasa immediately formed a massive airstream around him. The massive wind lifted a HUC baby and a HUC old man, but it also floated the debris at the same time. Even though the HUC baby was silently impressed with Inasa's subtle control with his Quirk, he looked down at Inasa with a scolding face, giving him minus points for his reckless approach. That quickly crushed Inasa's enthusiasm in an instant. Inasa evaporated the airstream around him. He then caught two small HUC men in his arms.
Class 1-A students continued searching for more victims trapped beneath the rubbles. They began splitting up and working with other schools to rescue as many trapped citizens as possible.
Yaoyorozu managed to find a HUC elderly man trapped beneath debris. Uraraka immediately rushed over and pressed her fingers together for her Quirk activation. But Yaoyorozu quickly stopped her and strategically suggested that they, Sero, and Sato need to secure the rubble first because of an imbalance in the wreckage. Yaoyorozu created a steel girder through her chest while Sato ate some sugar and activated his Quirk. Sato lifted steel girders with his superhuman strength as Sero secured them together with his tape and then reinforced the rubble wall, which Uraraka crawling towards the elderly man and then placed her fingers on the rubble as she started tossing it towards Sato.
Yuga walked towards a male student examinee. He laid on the ground and then fired his navel laser into the air, lighting up the dark passageways of the opening fissures.
Tenya, Mineta, and Shoji began dispersing across the field to find more people in need while Jiro stayed behind and began plugging her earphone jacks into the ground in a search of trapped citizens.
Katsuki, Eijiro, and Denki located two injured HUC civilians calling for help in the mountain area. But Katsuki yelled at them to save themselves, leaving Kirishima and Kaminari to rebuke him before jumping down towards the acting citizens somewhere safe. The two HUC civilians gave Katsuki minus points for his wildly inappropriate tone, which greatly angered the explosive student and frightening the HUC citizens at the same time.
Shoji had produced multiple tentacles with ears at the tip, allowing him to hear voices from separate directions across the area. That also permitted Iida and Mineta to take action.
Thanks to Koda's Quirk, he directed Ojiro, Tokoyami, and Mina to the mountain zone.
Hagakure, Shoto, and Tsuyu arrived at the lake, where a HUC boy gripping on the rock in the middle.
As Tsuyu jumped into the water, Shoto and Hagakure began taking action for a rescue effort.
Diana's indigo aura steered Luna, Aisha, and Selene to search and rescue for nearby injured bystanders.
Izuku, on the other hand, finally reached the first-aid station, where a good number of examinees were already treating rescued bystanders.
In a darkened corridor, Gang Orca and his men had positioned themselves close to the ruined city.
"In the short time until emergency responders arrive, heroes must act alone." Gang Orca said. "Helping the victims and performing first aid. Once the professionals show up, the transition should be seamless."
Gang Orca then pressed an earphone in his ear, which interconnected with Mera inside the observation post.
"How goes it?" Gang Orca asked.
"Let's see. During their initial response, there was some poor judgement. But the points taken off by HUC members are still pretty minimal." Mera informed as he began typing rapidly on his laptop. "The students are doing better than expected. Less incompetence than usual, I would say."
"Wonderful." Gang Orca said, turning his earpiece off. "But in order to protect citizens in need, heroes must multitask. They can't just rescue. They must adapt."
As Class 1-A continued their rescue operations, a massive explosion was detonated close to the first-aid station and broke off a piece of the wall. Then, more explosions began discharging across the entire arena.
"A villain has completed another large-scale attack." Mera announced.
Luna, Diana, Aisha, and Selene looked at the explosion that was primary detonated at the arena wall.
"Wait, what?!" Diana exclaimed. "A villain here already?!"
Diana immediately concentrated on her indigo aura and began distinguishing an immense aura of Gang Orca emerging through the hole in the wall.
"Tell me, wannabe heroes. Can you rescue people and fight at the same time?" Gang Orca questioned.
Gang Orca's sidekicks dashed down the wreckage and made their way towards the disaster zone. The Orca terrorists wore skintight black bodysuits that covered their entire faces and hands. Their bodysuits were decorated with thin white lines over their torsos and tan-colored armor pads on their shoulders, the sides of their torsos, and knees. Their black masks have six diamond-shaped eye holes arranged in a somewhat circular dice pattern. They are also equipped with a blue and gray cement gun on their right arms.
"Oh, shit. This is bad. It's Gang Orca!" Diana cried.
"Gang Orca?!" Luna, Aisha, and Selene repeated in shock.
"The terrorists have appeared and are beginning to sweep the area." Mera proclaimed. "Hero candidates at the scene should continue the rescue efforts while also suppressing the newly arrived villains."
"Are they serious right now?" Aisha questioned.
"Saving people and battling villains at the same time?" Selene said.
"Now, how will you react?" Gang Orca asked as he made his way onto the battlefield. "Will you fight or protect? Help or run away? What would a hero do?"
Luna puts on a determined look on her face, getting ready for what's coming.
Enjoy and review.
