The Orca terrorists dashed down the wreckage and made their way towards the disaster zone.
"The terrorists have appeared and are beginning to sweep the area." Mera proclaimed. "Hero candidates at the scene should continue the rescue efforts while also suppressing the newly arrived villains."
"Are they serious right now?" Aisha questioned.
"Saving people and battling villains at the same time?" Selene said.
"Now, how will you react?" Gang Orca asked as he made his way onto the battlefield. "Will you fight or protect? Help or run away? What would a hero do?"
Luna and Aisha put on determined looks on their face, getting ready for what's coming.
"A villain attack? Now? This is crazy." Selene said.
"And it looks like Gang Orca is heading towards the first-aid station!" Diana shouted, pointing her finger at the first-aid station at the distance.
"That's not good." Luna said.
"But we can't just neglect the bystanders and charge after the villains." Selene said.
"I'm going after Gang Orca." Aisha said. "No doubt there'll be other strong students at the station."
"Alright. But be careful." Luna said.
Aisha nodded and flew away with fast speed in ghost mode.
Once Aisha arrived at the first-aid station, Shindo immediately placed his hands on the ground and unleashed a powerful vibration that crumbled the ground into tremors beneath Gang Orca's henchman.
But Gang Orca suddenly dashed right in front of Shindo in a nanosecond. He unleashed powerful hypersonic waves at Shindo, paralyzing the Ketsubutsu student and knocking him unconscious to the ground.
"Shindo!" Izuku yelled.
"A single rear guard to hold us back?" Gang Orca mocked. "You've underestimated me."
Gang Orca looked away from Shindo and began walking towards the helpless Izuku.
Aisha released sea green crescent-like blades of psychokinesis at Gang Orca, who quickly protected himself with another hypersonic waves. Aisha's body went tangible and flew down in front of Izuku.
"Are you okay, Midoriya?" Aisha asked.
"I'm fine. Thank you, Aisha!" Izuku said.
Then suddenly, Gang Orca turned his head and unleashed hypersonic waves just in time to break a large glacier-like waves of ice into pieces that was coming towards him. Aisha and Izuku turned to see Shoto unleashing his ice from the distance.
"Todoroki!" Izuku shouted.
"Midoriya, Aisha, are you two evacuating?"
Aisha and Izuku turned their heads to see Ojiro, Mina, and Tokoyami rushing towards them for the evacuation struggle.
"We'll help." Ojiro said, grabbing an unconscious citizen from Izuku.
"You and Todoroki are fast." Mina said to Aisha.
"Hey, where have you guys been?" Izuku asked.
"We found hurt people over by the river. Everyone else ran to the city first, so we were searching on the outskirts." Ojiro explained. "Yaoyorozu and Asui stayed behind to search for survivors, but we couldn't stand by and watch these villains do this."
"You guys handle the evacuation. I'll help Shoto take down Gang Orca." Aisha said.
While Aisha flew next to Shoto, Shoto's ice instantly immobilized Gang Orca's henchmen by freezing their legs in place. But Gang Orca continued destroying Shoto's ice with his hypersonic waves.
"Your power is nothing." Gang Orca said.
"Guess I now know why he's number ten." Shoto commended.
"Yeah, no kidding." Aisha remarked.
Then suddenly, Aisha and Shoto felt a light breeze of wind.
"This wind." Shoto said.
Aisha and Shoto looked up to the source of the sudden wind. Their eyes caught the sight of Inasa presently floating directly above them in the air.
"I'm gonna blow you evildoers away!" Inasa yelled.
Inasa unleashed a powerful gust of wind straight down to the ground, blowing shattered pieces of Shoto's ice and the Orca terrorists away while Gang Orca stood his ground.
"A second villain attack." Inasa smiled. "Man, they really pulled out all the stops for us, didn't they?"
Then, Shoto and Inasa looked at each other with wide eyes. Inasa moved his eyes to the wide-eyed Aisha, but his eyes moved back to Shoto.
"Of course, you're here, too." Inasa growled irritatedly.
Shoto then turned his head to focus on the mission ahead.
Everything you say is a distraction. Shoto thought with an annoyed face.
Aisha silently noticed the crossness on the boys' expressions, knowing that their chances on defeating Gang Orca and his sidekicks will not end well.
"Why don't you go help with the first aid station instead?" Shoto yelled. "Your Quirk would be good for that. Aisha and I will take care of him."
The minute Gang Orca prepared himself, Inasa conducted the swirling wind around just as Shoto raised his left hand and Aisha elevated both hands forward.
Here they come. Gang Orca thought.
Shoto unleashed a stream of fire, Aisha released a large sea green crescent-like blade of psychokinesis, and Inasa shot out his flowing wind. Instead of attacking Gang Orca, all three attacks ended up cancelling out each other at the same time. Inasa's wind changed the direction of Shoto's flames and Aisha's psychokinetic blade, which ineffectively assaulted Gang Orca.
The Orca terrorists watched the Quirk cancellation in confusion. Even Aisha looked confused by what she just saw.
"Why'd you use your flames?" Inasa yelled at Shoto. "The heat makes the air rise up!"
"Because he didn't fall to my ice earlier." Shoto replied with an annoyed look.
"Not to mention, your wind blocked my blade!" Aisha yelled back.
"You ruined our shot on purpose, didn't you?" Shoto questioned. "Using your wind to blow away my fire and her blade."
Shoto's words made Inasa glared harder.
"Just like your friend, you blocked me. But unlike her, you did it so you'd get all the glory!" Inasa snapped.
"What? Why would I do something like that?" Shoto retorted, feeling his unusually temper growing inside him.
"Why wouldn't you? Hatred's in your blood!" Inasa countered. "You are Endeavor's son."
Inasa's words earned an angry glare from Shoto when he looked up at him with narrowing eyes.
"What the hell has been you this whole time? My old man has nothing to do…" Shoto argued.
"Listen up. Can you two please knock it off and focus on…?" Aisha interrupted heatedly.
Suddenly, a blast of quick-drying cement was shot out of nowhere. The substance completely encased Aisha's right shoulder. Her shocked eyes moved to the source of that cement blast until she caught the sight of an Orca terrorist, who took an opportunistic action of a clean shot.
"Like my cement gun? Good luck trying to move when that hardens up." An Orca terrorist said.
"This is outrageous." Gang Orca stated disapprovingly. "I can't believe you're arguing."
Then, the Orca terrorists aimed their cement guns and began firing a liquidly barrage of cement at the three students.
But Aisha quickly extended her left hand and halted the bombardment of cement all at once with her psychokinesis in mere seconds. She thrusted her hand and sent the cement assault back at Gang Orca and the Orca terrorists with rapid speed. Only the Orca terrorists got hit with liquid cement while Gang Orca managed to dodge them with remarkable reflexes.
"Aisha, are you okay?" Shoto asked.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." Aisha replied. She phased the toughened cement completely off her right shoulder. "You're welcome with the save by the way."
"This has everything to do with your cold-blooded father!" Inasa yelled, looking down at Shoto with a glare. "To me, heroes should be full of passion. They bring hope and inspiration to people with the fire burning in their hearts. They care! It was a shock to meet your father. Because the only thing I could see in his eyes was an insatiable anger aimed at the entire world. And then, at the entrance exam, I saw you and I knew who you were immediately. Because when I said hello…your eyes were the same as his."
"You think we're the same?" Shoto questioned as he stared up at Inasa. "Don't be ridiculous. You're a fool. I'm nothing like him."
"Hey you, wind boy, shut the hell up already!" Aisha shouted angrily. She then turned to Shoto, who stared at her with slightly wide eyes. "And you, we have an exam to focus! The last thing we need is you two losing your composure right now!"
Gang Orca shook his head with disappointment on how neither Aisha, Shoto, and Inasa are performing a counterattack nor abandoning their argument with each other. Even Mera looked clearly disappointed as well.
"A villain in front of you and you've done nothing." Gang Orca said.
Inasa ignored Gang Orca and focused on his bitter conservation with Shoto.
"Why do you keep defending him? Heroes like you and your parents are better than someone like Endeavor!" Inasa shouted at Aisha. "He and his father are the only heroes that I can't accept. He doesn't deserve the title! Understand?" He raised his hand upwards and generated wind around it. "Now move!"
Inasa then unleashed a powerful burst of wind down at Gang Orca. At the same time, Shoto unleashed a powerful stream of fire at Gang Orca from his left hand. Just before Aisha was about to use her psychokinesis, Inasa's wind once again redirected Shoto's fire, tactlessly cancelling their attacks out at the same time.
"Again?" Inasa growled. "Are you kidding me?"
But this time, Inasa's wind redirected Shoto's flames straight towards an injured Shindo, who was still recovering from Gang Orca's hypersonic attack on the ground.
Aisha's eyes widened in terror.
No! He'll be incinerated! Shoto thought with a horrifying expression.
Aisha sprinted towards the semi-recovering Shindo and extended both hands in front of her, hurriedly encasing the student in sea green sensation and rising him up in the air just in time for Izuku to seize him from the flames.
"Thanks, Midoriya!" Aisha shouted in a relieved tone.
Izuku nodded down at Aisha. He then immediately turned to the wide-eyed Shoto and Inasa with a serious expression.
"Damn it!" Izuku shouted sternly. "What are you two doing?!"
After Luna, Selene, and Diana successfully evacuated the injured HUC citizens, the Orca terrorists appeared out of nowhere and began barraging Luna, Diana, and Selene with their cement guns at rapid speed. But Diana manifested her yellow aura around her body and protected herself in a large force field, which led Selene and Luna charging from behind. Selene released star-like stellar orbs that hit the cement guns, bursting quick-drying cement all over the Orca terrorists. Luna then surrounded her hands in circular pink energy and blasted a barrage of pink energy bolts that sent the Orca terrorists flying away.
"Nice." Selene and Luna smiled as they high-fived each other.
"Uh, girls. I wouldn't celebrate just yet!" Diana shouted.
Selene and Luna turned their heads to see more Orca terrorists charging towards them.
"It's a good thing we already evacuated the citizens. Now, it's time to have some fun." Diana said as she cracked her knuckles.
The Orca terrorists all faced the girls with their cement guns. Luna, Selene, and Diana scattered in separate directions before lunging toward them and attacking them with ease. Luna sprang high over the Orca terrorists in the air and fired pink energy bolts that destroyed the cement guns. Next, Selene generated a large stellar orb in the size of a beach ball and fired it upwards. The stellar orb directed itself to the meteor shower and suddenly attacked all the Orca terrorists with an explosion. Then, Diana manifested her red aura around herself blazingly and started collecting it in her right hand. She then released a red energy blast that unexpectedly divided itself into multiple blasts shooting directly towards the Orca terrorists at full power.
After Izuku rescued Shindo and landed few feet away from the fight, Shoto then looked back up at the glaring Inasa in complete disbelief.
"A Quirk that can use wind." Shoto muttered. "That's right. He was in my way."
"I can take it that you know him before?" Aisha asked.
"Yes." Shoto replied. "He beat me at the recommendation exam."
"And why did it take you so long to remember him now?" Aisha asked again.
"He's so loud and obnoxious. I guess I wasn't really seeing him back then." Shoto surmised. "I just needed to reject that bastard. I wasn't thinking about anything else. I did everything I could to ignore who I am. Is that catching up to me? My past, and my blood…"
Aisha noticed small flickering of flames from Shoto's left hand.
"I can't just bury them or forget about them." Shoto said determinedly.
"No more games."
Shoto and Aisha quickly turned to see Gang Orca approaching them, causing them to back away from him.
"First, I'll stop the wind." Gang Orca said, turning his head at Inasa.
Gang Orca unleashed a powerful blast of hypersonic waves from a distance. Inasa screamed in anguish as his entire body went completely limp that sent him crashing down straight to the ground. Gang Orca immediately grabbed Shoto and Aisha by the neck before paralyzing them with a barrage of hypersonic waves. He then tossed Aisha away from behind and turned directly at Inasa, who generated wind all around him. That made Gang Orca notice that the strong effect of his hypersonic waves was only strong enough to immobilize him since he attacked him at long range.
Half of the Orca terrorists that weren't trapped by the cement from Aisha's psychokinesis began rushing towards the evacuation shelter.
While Aisha was completely knocked out, Shoto and Inasa couldn't help but recalling Izuku's scolding words earlier.
Seriously? Inasa and Shoto thought.
How did I become everything I hated? Inasa questioned.
I'm in this mess because of my own actions. Shoto asked himself.
That finally made Inasa and Shoto realize their mistakes throughout the whole exam.
I have to fix this. Inasa and Shoto thought in unison.
"Now, then." Gang Orca said. He released Shoto from his grasp and turned his sights towards Aisha. "I'll take down the psychic girl and continue with the attack. And then, I'll do the same for the wind user."
When Gang Orca started walking towards Aisha, Shoto was on his knees as he was already too stunned to move.
We competed with each other for no reason. Shoto said as he fell forward to the ground. Our Quirks aren't compatible, and we have zero teamwork. There's no way we can beat a top hero when we're at odds like this. He slowly lifted his head to the paralyzed Inasa. Hopefully, he understands, too, and feels the same way as I do.
Aisha opened her eyes wide open and looked up at Gang Orca, who was approaching closely towards her.
Oh, damn! This is bad! Aisha thought with utter shock. I can still use my ghost, but my psychokinesis is useless if I can't move my body! Shoto, help me!
The left side of Shoto's face flickered fire until he mentally unleashed his flames at full power. Inasa slowly lifted himself up and saw the flames, knowing exactly what he has to do.
Inasa mentally unleashed a powerful gust of wind, which slammed into Shoto's flames. With the combination of fire and wind, it circled around Gang Orca and trapped him in a flaming tornado.
With fire… Shoto thought.
And wind… Inasa added.
We'll trap you! Shoto and Inasa declared in unison.
Aisha watched the whole scene with a small smile.
A prison made from fire and wind? Aisha thought. Not bad, boys.
Aisha then closed her eyes in defeat.
He didn't even move his body. His strength and accuracy have decreased, but his incapacity wasn't complete. He's able to control his Quirk barely. Gang Orca stated, staring at Inasa. He then turned his head at Shoto. And this one. Todoroki can't move either. But he's adding his raw power to Yoarashi's attack. This won't make up for their foolishness earlier, but it's not a bad start. They realize their mistake. And as such, they're trying to make up for it. I have to admire their persistence.
The Orca terrorists immediately caught the sight of the massive smoke, knowing that their boss can't handle extreme heat. They aimed their cement guns and launched quick-drying cement directly at Shoto. But Shoto suddenly shielded himself with a large wall of ice.
In the meantime, Gang Orca was still immobilized by the flames inside the blazing tornado.
A cyclone prison of wind and fire. Not bad. Gang Orca commended. An ordinary villain would give up, would weep, and beg your mercy. He began pouring water over his skin from his bottle, rehydrating himself from the scorching temperature of Shoto's flames. But what would you do if your desperate trap was not enough? You must always be planning your next move.
Then, Gang Orca unleashed powerful blast of hypersonic waves that instantly dissipated the tornado of fire and wind. Shoto and Inasa's Quirk combination managed to weaken him, but he's astonishingly still standing.
"So…what now?" Gang Orca roared.
Unfortunately, Shoto and Inasa have nothing to counterattack since they have already given everything they had.
Just as Gang Orca was about to reach his hand over the boys, Izuku jumped out of nowhere. He swung his leg and delivered a One For All Full Cowl enhanced kick, but Gang Orca blocked the attack with his protectors on his arm. That earned surprise faces from Inasa and Shoto.
Then suddenly, the sound of blaring buzzer alarmed everyone's attention throughout the arena.
"Um, yeah, so, at this time, all of the HUC members who were deployed have been rescued from the disaster zone." Mera announced. "It may seem anticlimactic, but with this, the provisional licensing exam has officially been completed. After we tally the scores, we'll announce the results here in the arena. Anyone injured should go to the infirmary. The rest of you are free to change clothes and wait wherever you like."
Luna, Diana, and Selene stood on the tallest rubble after listening to the announcement from the speakers.
"It's over already?" Luna and Selene said in unison.
"Thank god for that." Diana said, collapsing on her knees to the ground.
Afterwards, all the students had changed out of their hero costumes and wore their respective school uniforms. They gathered in front of a large screen, where Mera was standing right in front of a podium next to it.
"Okay, everyone. Thanks for your hard work in today's exam." Mera said. "Now, before I announced the results, I should probably explain the way we evaluate you. Between HUC and those of us at the Heroes Public Safety Commission, we had a two-fold demerit system that we used to determine your total scores. In other words, we were evaluating you basing on how few mistakes you made in a crisis situation. Anyway, the names of those who passed are listed here in alphabetical order. Keep my words in mind as you search the screen for your name."
The large screen presented several names on the scoreboard. All the students, especially Izuku and Luna, frantically began searching for their names.
Eventually, Luna's eyes widened as she gasped with a smile.
Enjoy and review.
