Natsu and Zeref are in the midst of a fierce clash, with Zeref wielding the power of the Fairy Heart to access the Neo Eclipse. This power allows him to rewrite history and end the current timeline. Natsu is the only one who can stop him, while his friends race against time to sever his link to the Book of E.N.D. Will Natsu emerge victorious against the black wizard Zeref? "the time has come," Zeref laughed. "The time had come for me, too" he was stopped when fire blasted passed his face.
"When you go out that door," Natsu growled, "you make a promise," as dark red flames surrounded his body.
"no, that can't be possible," Zeref muttered as Natsu stood up, scales growing on his body as he entered his dragon force, his eyes turning Yellow as the dragon tattoo appeared on his arm. "I thought he lost that power."
"This is my power:" Natsu shouted as he burst into flames. "The power you gave me with my dragon slayer magic," he called. "I won't be stopped; I will protect my family," he shouted. "my choice was to let live," he screamed.
"no," Zeref whispered. "How is this possible."
"{Fire dragon king}"

Lucy fell to the ground, with red markings surrounding her body. "We severed the link we need," Lucy managed. "I have to," she said. "Add Anna to it," she said. "We can't lose Natsu; I promised her I would save him,"
"Lucy," Cana shouted, "You need to stop."
"no" Lucy shouted. "Natsu, time and time again, has put his life on the line for all of us, no matter the harm to himself," Lucy sighed. "No matter what, he always is looking out for us, so this time, I'm going to save him," she shouted "he going to," Lucy stopped as she felt Gray's hand on her shoulder.
"Focus," Gray said.
"we're here, Lucy," Wendy smiled as the book started to glow, "and I think you should follow the markings."
"Mavis," Mira muttered, "I know it's her magic," she smiled. "Lucy, do what she says to the letter."
"Right," Lucy smiled.
Natsu rushed Zeref again, kicking him Zeref was shocked. This was the same intensity that was able to harm him earlier. How did Natsu re-access it as he slid back as Natsu jumped over him, landing in front of the door? "you not winning here, Zeref" Natsu asked as Zeref stared at him.
"Anna, what are you planning" Zeref wondered. "Why did you need my book," he said. "No, you plan to use black magic and further your sins along with mine," a smile graced his face. "It's already too late for that, Anna, but I understand now why you stopped him.
Flashback
"I don't care," Natsu shouted. "if giving my life means stopping you, I'll do it without hesitation.
"Natsu, no" Anna screamed as she pulled him back.
"Why do you stop this, Anna" Zeref shouted. "Let this happen" he screamed.
"Natsu," Happy shouted, grabbing him with his hands. "You'll die."
"Igneel's power is fading; this is our only shot," Natsu screamed as he tried to break free.
"and what let you die." Happy shouted, "If was anyone else, you'd stop us, right" Happy cried. "Please, Natsu."
"We have to go," Anna said, tears appearing. "Please don't make me choose."
"Sensei" Natsu muttered.
"come on, let's go home, don't make me go without you, " Happy cried again as Anna grabbed them both before teleporting.
"Anna, you fool," Zeref growled. "You have doomed this world to a terrible fate," he said as his tears vanished, the injuries from his fight leaving as Invel approached him. "The one person who could have stopped me. Vanished, and thus my hesitation is gone, this world must end,"
End Flashback
"so that's what she's planning," Zeref laughed. "She wanted to give herself time to separate you from my book, her final sin," Zeref laughed. "Then I will just have to kill you."
"Thanks, Sensei," Natsu whispered. "Lucy, Gray, Erza, Mira, Wendy, Juvia," he said aloud as he stood up. "All of you, my friends and family, are counting on me, so I will stop you." Natsu screamed at Zeref as his flames blazed around his body, "Nothing you do will stop me, this is our future, and you don't get to decide how our fates go." he shouted as he and Zeref clashed again. "You're going down, Zeref."
"I will not be stopped," Zeref shouted.
"I'm going to defeat you," Natsu shouted.
"you're going to die, Natsu," Zeref shouted.

"come on, we gotta push him in," Meredy shouted.
"right," Gajeel shouted.
"{snow dragons: blizzard frost}"
"{Iron lords: great sword}," Gajeel shouted as they struck Acnologia. As the dragon let out a roar in pain
"They hurt him," Laki shouted.
"you think this will stop me, Dragonborn," Acnologia shouted. "I am doom incarnate; the world will fall to my feet," he screamed.
"Gajeel, Meredy, get back," Anna shouted.
"Captain Ichiya, the Cristina can't take more of this," Eve shouted.
"Brace for impact," Hibiki shouted as Cristina landed on the water; sliding across the water, they looked up to see Acnologia getting pushed into the rift as Rossello and Lily barely managed to escape its pull. As Acnologia flew forward,
"damn, that wasn't enough," Jenny shouted as the ship shook. "Can we blast him in?"
"he'll just eat the attack again," Laki shouted. "We need something big and hard to hit him."
"Why did you say it like that" Kinana shouted at her.
Natsu jumped away as Zeref smiled, waving his hand. Natsu let out a breath of flames at Zeref as he blocked it. "Why is this hot," Zeref asked as ants appeared again, punching him in the stomach. "These flames," he whispered 'has Natsu gained the power E.N.D. and is using it to bring his power to the same level it was before" he growled. "No, I will not be denied," he screamed as he punched Natsu to the ground. Natsu kicked him. "Why do you still stand in my way."
"because I have to protect my friends," Natsu shouted. "I can't stop till I see them again, not till there all safe and happy," Natsu shouted.
"that's the world I'm trying to create," Zeref shouted as they slammed their heads together. "You're the one who's being selfish here, Natsu. Why do you deny me my happiness."
"you're the one standing in the way of mine," Natsu shouted, "you say you're doing this for everyone, but the only person you're doing this for is yourself," Natsu shouted. "My friends and I have had heartbreak and have shed blood, sweat, and tears to get where we are today," Natsu shouted, thinking about all he had been through the years. "So I won't let you take everything we've accomplished and destroy it."
"hear me, my curse." Zeref whispered, "My hatred, I will use to get you out of my way."
"no matter what you throw at me," Natsu shouted. "I will not stop," he screamed. as they clashed again "{Fire dragon kings: roar}," Natsu shouted as Zeref was blown back.
"no, you will not stop me," Zeref shouted as they clashed again. "not when I'm so close."
"you're going down, Zeref," Natsu shouted as he punched him away. "Not as long as I'm here," he screamed as he burst into flame Zeref stood back in shock. "your end is here, Zeref; you're not getting your way," he shouted.
"you think you stand a chance against my power Natsu" Zeref laughed as he jumped back. "I control time now," he shouted. "There's nothing you can do."
"there's always a way to win," Natsu said. "I don't care if you have infinite power," Natsu shouted at him as he stood up, rushing him again as Zeref vanished, kicking him to the ground.
"the power of the fire dragon king will not save you this time," Zeref said. "It's time to give up, Natsu. You failed."
"never" Natsu shouted. "Cause I made a promise, a sacred vow," he said as she stood up, "that they would be able to live the life they wanted the way they chose; no one gets a say in how they live their lives, not me, not Mira, not Mavis, and definitely not you" he screamed as Zeref blocked the attack.
"must you ramble on," Zeref asked as Natsu punched him away. "you may have those you love, little brother, but I don't. Everyone I cared about is gone," he laughed, "and soon I will have it all back; you can't stop me."
"I can," Natsu shouted. "For their future, I can't let you win," he shouted, flames erupting from his body. The two clashed as he rushed Zeref again, causing the ground to shake underneath them as Natsu punched Zeref in the face.
"no, I've come too far," Zeref growled. "Sacfriced, too much to lose here," he screamed as she punched back. "I will not let you stop me," he shouted as he and Natsu hit each other "I will have my happy ending," he shouted.
"{fire dragon kings scales}" Natsu shouted as he blocked the attack "{Fire dragon kings: destruction fist}" he shouted as Zeref swatted the attack away, anger growing on his face as Natsu jumped up, hand going to his pocked 'I need more time' he said as back away 'Zeref has infinite power, but this should work he sighed as he put up his hand.
"Still want to fight Natsu" Zeref laughed. "Fine, I'll play with you a little longer," he laughed, "but even you must realize how much power you've wasted at this point while I barely have begun to scratch mine."
"Even with all that power, you're still sort-sighted," Natsu smiled. "This is the end, Zeref," he stood up. "You lost this fight the moment Mavis came here."
"oh please," Zeref laughed, "you seem to forget I took all her magic power."
"yeah, but you still don't have her mind," Natsu said. "So now I gotta beat that power out of you," he said as Zeref laughed even further.
"I think playtime is over, Natsu," Zeref said. "Now, if you would kindly get out of my way," he stepped forward, "or would you rather die, little brother."
"if you want to go out that door," Natsu smiled. "You gotta go through me." Natsu shouted, "{FIre dragon kings: roar}" he shouted as Zeref blocked the attack, annoyance now on his face
"you're not winning this, Natsu," Zeref shouted. "It's over," he screamed as she punched him in the stomach. "Your power is no match for me in this state," he screamed. "Give up"
"Never," Natsu shouted as he got back up, kicking Zeref away. "I have every reason to keep fighting."
Flashback
"Natsu, I know you're still in there," Mira whispered.
"Must find Zeref," E.N.D roared again as everyone backed up.
"I know why you're doing this," Mira whispered as E.N.D backed up. "You're doing this cause you feel like you have to protect us," she stepped forward again. "That it's the only way to end this war so we can go back to how things were before the war started" She smiled as she walked up to him. "This isn't the way."
"get out of my way," E.N.D shouted.
"I'm not moving," Mira said out loud. "I'm not going anywhere without you, you're in pain, but I'm here," she said, tears appearing. "It's okay. Everything is going to be okay," she whispered. "I promise nothing will happen to us; we can win. We don't need this thing."
"Mira," E.N.D growled out.
"That's right; it's me" Mira took another step forward. The heat was intense, but she didn't care. She needed to reach Natsu, everything she had learned and wanted to know. At this moment didn't matter. What mattered was bringing Natsu back to his senses. She walked forward, wrapping him in a tight hug. She smiled. "It's okay," she said, feeling him burn her, "we still love you. "don't give up," Mira whispered in his ear as the fire around Natsu subsided. "I'm here; I promise I'll find a way," she said. "I'll protect you," she said as the demonic markings on his body started to disappear, the scales falling off.
"Mira," Natsu asked.
"I can't believe you moved out of Magnolia," Happy said.
"yeah, that seems like a bit much," Natsu said, "but I'm glad you came back; sorry that it was in the middle of a war, though."
"Nah, it's all right," Lucy said. "Hey, Natsu, can I ask you something," she asked. "When this is all over, said and done," she asked. "Where do you think your future is going."
"what do you mean," Natsu said.
"After everything," Lucy started, "what do you think you'll be doing."
"I don't know," Natsu smiled. "Never been one to overthink about the future," Natsu admitted. "Just not my style," he smiled.
"but it's something we have to think about," Lucy asked. "I mean, I would love for things to return to how they were, but" she frowned, "how can they? We aren't exactly the wizards we were back then."
"that's true," Natsu said, "but whatever the future holds," he looked to the sky. "I know that it will be my choice," he said.
"Aye," Happy said.
"your right," Lucy smiled. "I ask the cause," she sighed. "There is a favor I wanted to ask you," she said. "I wrote a book."
"oh really," Natsu said.
"yeah, but I wanted you to be the first to read it," Lucy asked.
"Why," Natsu said, "not that into books."
"I know, but" Lucy sighed. "Look, this is personal, so I wanted you, of all people, to read it first, okay," she said as she looked at him. "It." she sighed. "Just once this is over, promise me that you know you'll hear me out."
"come on, you know you don't have to ask that," Natsu said. "I'll always be by your side."
"Aye," Happy said.
"I did miss you," Erza smiled as she returned to her original position to get a better look at Natsu. "I'm not mad that you left," Erza revealed to him as Natsu looked at her. "I guess I'm just mad you didn't do it face-to-face" She smiled.
"If I did that, you all would have tried to stop us," Natsu laughed. "We lost more than our parents that day; as you learned from Anna, we're the dragons of Ishgar now," he admitted. "We are the only ones who can stand up to Acnologia."
"Natsu," Erza whispered. "I," she looked into the distance, "when I had to face Jellal, you were the one who rushed to my rescue," she said. "Although my past transgressions, although we knew next to nothing about each other," she smiled at the memory. The tower of heaven made her think of many things, but the most heartwarming was when she gained her family "So know that I."
"don't," Natsu said.
"Too bad, because I will," Erza said. "you made me promise that I wouldn't rush off to something foolish," she reasoned. "You made me promise I would never just throw away my life."
"that not fair, Erza," Natsu said, "using my own words against me."
"There are good words," Erza said as she looked at him, "from someone I consider" She looked away, "from someone important to me." she looked back at Natsu, "someone that I," she stopped.
"what," Natsu asked.
"I," Erza started.
"hey, kiddo," Natsu smiled.
"Natsu," Wendy said with tears in her eyes. "You're okay," she shouted as she jumped up and hugged him. "I love you," she cried in his arms. "I love you so .much."
Natsu smiled, thinking about what he learned in his mind. "Love you, too, kid," he smiled as he kissed her forehead.
"go do what you have to do," Gray whispered. "You heard him. You're the only one that can stop that monster," he said. "Just tell me this," he asked, tears on his face. "You and I were friends, right."
"After everything we've been through," Natsu smiled, "No, we're not friends," he said as he placed a hand on her shoulder, looking at him. "We're brothers," he said as he walked away, going to face his destiny.
"Natsu," Wendy groaned. "Are we there yet."
"where'd all that energy go" Meredy laughed.
"I'm hungry," Wendy muttered.
"you just ate," Carla shouted.
"now that you mention it, I am getting a little empty in the tank," Natsu said.
"fine, you can have my fish," Happy said.
"only if it's grilled," Natsu said.
"what's wrong with you people," Happy said. "Fish is so much better when it's raw and slimy."
"Just make sure there is some Iron in it," Gajeel said.
"You need to eat more than metal Gajeel," Lily said.
"I swear you guys have this argument every other week," Meredy sighed.
Happy laughed as he flew through the sky, and his friends sat on top of him. "So, do we count the seven years we spent on Tenrou or not," Juvia asked, "is Wendy older than us now."
"I say we count them," Natsu released, "not like we were killed or anything, just placed in suspended animation."
"but we didn't physically age," Lucy added.
"is the conversation essential," Mest asked.
"you gotta lot of nerve, Dragneel," a voice called as they turned to see Cana stomping up to them. Natsu started digging in his bag as she began her tirade, "You don't just get to skip town for two years and just come in here and expect" She stopped when Natsu pulled out a bottle, which looked extremely expensive as he handed it to Cana who looked it over "is this wine country" she asked "X770 vintage."
"top shelf, too," Natsu said, "got after we did a job in Pergande kingdom," he said.
"bribe accepted," Cana laughed. "Welcome home, bud," she laughed as she dragged him in for a hug. "I missed you," Cana said as she held him tightly.
"missed you too," Natsu said.

"I'm not stopping," Natsu shouted. "You're going down," he called as his flames increased. As he punched Zeref again, shocking him as he slid back, jumping up, Zeref fired more attacks as Natsu unleashed his fire, burning them. Natsu let out a roar.
"no," Zeref muttered, "these flames their burning through my magic," he said as Natsu rushed forward. "no, I will not be stopped" Purple fire surrounded him, the ground around them shaking as Mavis started to come again, seeing the attack as she tried to get up "your time has come Natsu" Zeref shouted "{Dark blast inferno: one ultimate}" Zeref shouted as she sent his flames at Natsu he stood his ground. "you will get out of my way Natsu," Zeref shouted.
"This isn't just my power," Natsu shouted. "This is the power of my friends, my family," he screamed. "This is the power of the flames of emotion," he shouted. "as long I have them, I will never lose," he screamed as his flames blocked Zeref's attack. "cause my friend is the reason I give my all to everything I do," he shouted.
Zeref muttered, "This power...this is Mavis." He whispered, "It's what Mavis always goes on about. "Zeref muttered as Natsu rushed him again. "This is the nature of magic, this"
"is the power of bonds"
"wow," Wendy said. "That's Natsu she said as the letters glow around them. The book started to close as Lucy fell to the ground.
"did you do it," Erza asked.
"I think so," Lucy whispered as Wendy bent down, starting to heal her. "Now all we gotta do is wait."
"you think Natsu can win," Juvia asked.
"If there is anything in this life that I'm certain in," Erza smiled, "is that no matter the foe he faces," Erza turned to her friends and smiled. "No matter the danger, Natsu will be able to come out on top." she smiled as her cheeks turned red. "Cause he has every reason to win."
"something you wanna say, Erza," Cana teased Erza, saying nothing, looking away.
"Oh, nothing too important," Erza said. "For you anyway, Cana."
"Damn it," Meredy shouted, "we're going for another run."
"stay back," Anna shouted. "We need to think of something else."
"Anna," Ichiya asked " Can you use your direct line on multiple people," he asked.
"I can," Anna answered, "but why."
"All right, everyone, we need to evacuate," Ichiya shouted. "We'll ram him with the Cristina." he screamed, "hopefully, the old girl will be enough to send him through the rift and trap him."
"Will that work," Jenny asked.
"It's our best shot," Sorano shouted.
"Everyone move," Eve shouted.
"Meredy Gajeel, get back," Anna shouted. As everyone started to get out of the Cristan diving into the water, Ichiya waited until he saw everyone get off, looking back as he took off his captains hat before standing in front of Hibiki.
"Hibiki," Ichiya said, catching the man's attention. "It appears again we'll have to rebuild the Cristina."
"Don't worry, sir, I have the plans saved" Hibiki smiled as Ichiya handed him his captain's cap " What's this, captain."
"once you do, you will be the new captain," Ichiya smiled. "It has been an honor flying with you all." he smiled at Hibiki. "I know my guild, my home will be in good heads when I'm gone."
"wait, what are you" Before Hibiki could finish, he was pushed out of the Cristina as it flew off. "Master," Hibiki shouted.
"wait, what's Ichiya doing" Jenny shouted.
"boss," Eve and Ren shouted.
"my Trimens," Ichiya smiled. "I know this is hard, but this is the only way," Ichiya said over his loudspeaker. "Your friends are the only ones who can stop this monster, and by doing this, I will give humanity time to prepare to fight this monster," he shouted. "So long as you promise me my sacrifice will not be in vain," he screamed.
"he's going to sacrifice himself," Anna whispered.
"What a man," Jenny cried.
"Captain, you don't have to do this."
"Please, sir, Ichiya."
"What are you doing" Acnologia shouted. "I will not be denied."
"your time is up, Acnologia," Ichiya shouted, a smile coming to his face as he thought about his time with the Trimens and Blue Pegasus and the friends he's made. "I have no regrets," he smiled as he slammed Cristina into the time rift. "Now, feel the wrath of the Ace of Blue Pegasus," he screamed as the large light shined over the area.
"master," Hibiki, Eve, and Ren shouted.
"Hibiki, Ren, Eve," Ichiya smiled. "The legacy of Blue Pegasus now falls to you; I know you will lead our guild well." he said as the time rift consumed him."
Everyone sat in silence as they looked at where the time rift was Ichiya's magic presence had vanished along with Acnologia. No one said a word as the cries of the blue Pegasus guild members echoed through the sky as Gajeel and Meredy flew into the sky, their eyes covered in shadow.
"Meredy," Rossello asked.
"Gajeel," Lily asked.
"we're fine," both said.

Ichiya has made the ultimate sacrifice trapping Acnologia in the time rift with the hopes that his sacrifice will allow the dragon slayers time to recover and fight off the black dragon; when he manages to escape the time rift, will his sacrifice give our heroes time to fend off this foe, find out next time on a fairy tail: the final chapters!
Sidenote: how would you all feel if that was where Acnologia's story ended? he was bested by Ichiya. The end. It's not obviously, but I'm just curious.
