I'm back!

So so sorry about the long wait.

But no more, I have provided!

Not that much Reyna in this chapter, more of her in the next.

(I don't own Avatar. Only Reyna.)

Season One, Episode Three

THE SOUTHERN AIR TEMPLE (PART 1)

Ever since Aang had wreaked the skip, Zuko had been more unbearable then ever.

He bossed everyone more and more, yelling at them to move fast, to be quicker.

If they hesitated, then he would yell at them even more.

So, now that she really thought about it, nothing much had changed.

With the ship still damaged, Zuko was forced to ask the help of a captain.

Captain Zhao.

"Uncle, I want the repairs made as quickly as possible," Zuko demanded while Reyna and Iroh walked close to him. " I don't want to stay too long and risk losing his trail."

Reyna just nodded. There wasn't much else she could do since she was wearing her full uniform: helmet and everything.

Iroh tilted his head. "You mean the Avatar?"

Turning sharply, Zuko hissed "Don't mention his name on these docks! Once word gets out that he's alive, every firebender will be out looking for him, and I don't want anyone getting in the way!"

"Getting in the way of what?"

The trio turned slightly.

The voice had come from a middle aged man in a Fire Nation uniform.

Reyna couldn't see much, but she would tell that he had some thick sideburns

"Prince Zuko,"

He walked to the prince with both hands behind his back.

"Captain Zhao."

"It's commander now." He bowed to Iroh. "And General Iroh. Great hero of our nation."

Iroh bowed back. "Retired general."

Then he faced Reyna. "You're dismissed soldier. Go back with the rest of the crew." His tone made it clear that he expected to be obeyed.

Reyna didn't want to leave, but she bowed and started to walk back.

He was stopped by Zuko, who grabbed her forearm and held it.

"No. They stay with us."

Zhao raised an eyebrow but he didn't ask any questions.

"Very well." He turned his attention back to Iroh and Zuko (who let her arm go).

"The Fire Lord's brother and son are welcome guests anytime. What brings you to my harbor?"

Iroh was the one to explain. "Our ship is being repaired." He gestured towards the wrecked ship.

"That's quite a bit of damage."

Zuko nodded. "Yes. You wouldn't believe what happened." He held up a finger, like he was about to explain. How he was going to explain, Reyna didn't know, by she was ready to find out.

"Uncle! Tell Commander Zhao what happened."

Saw that coming.

Iroh was not so prepared.

His eyes widened. "yes," he stated, meter of factly. "I will do that." He raised both hands as if he was getting ready to tell them of an old story. "It was incredible!" His voice faltered. "What? Did we crash or something?"

"Yes! Right into... an Earth Kingdom ship!" He nudged Reyna. "Isn't that right, soldier?"

Reyna nodded. She had become a master at nosing.

Zhao didn't look convinced. "Really? You must regale me with all pf the thrilling details." He leaned into Zuko's person space. "Join me for a drink?"

Zuko averted his gaze and started to walk away, dragging Reyna with him by the wrist. "Sorry, but we have to go."

Iroh was the one to stop him by placing a hand onto his nephew's shoulder. "Prince Zuko, show Commander Zhao your respect." He removed his hand and turned to face Zhao. "We would be honored to join you. Do you have any ginseng tea? It's my favorite."

As Iroh and Zhao walked away, Zuko grunted in anger, followed by a growl. He let go of Reyna to firebend a small arc of annoyance."

"You good?" She asked. "You seem more worked up then usual."

"I don't trust Zhao." He hissed. "Make sure to stay away from him. He's bad news. Come on." He walked after them, jerking his limbs to look mad.

"Drama queen." Reyna muttered to herself before following him.

"-And by the year's end, the Earth Kingdom capital will be under our rule." Zhao explained as the trio listened.

They had been seated at a small table, with tea.

Well, Zuko and Reyna were seated.

Iroh was looking at an arrangement of weapons that were placed against the wall.

"The Fire Lord will finally claim victory in this war."

Zuko didn't seem too happy (then again, when was he?) "If my father thinks the rest of the world will follow him willingly, then he is a fool!"

Zhao pulled up alongside Zuko and smirked. "Two years at sea have done little to temper your tongue. So, how is your search for the Avatar going?"

Reyna jerked back, almost breaking the chair.

Iroh knocked over the weapons. "Eh... My fault, entirely."

Zhao didn't look impressed.

"We haven't found him yet." Zuko said, aggressively.

Zhao scoffed. "Did you really expect to? The Avatar died a hundred years ago. Along with the rest of the airbenders. Unless," He gave another smirk. "You have found some evidence that the Avatar is alive?"

Zuko faced Zhao and said (very clearly), "No. Nothing."

Zhao rose from his chair. "Prince Zuko, the Avatar is the only one who can stop the Fire Nation from winning this war. If you have an ounce of loyalty left, you'll tell me what you found."

"I haven't found anything." Zuko insisted with an aggressive tone. "It's like you said. The Avatar probably died a long time ago." He stood up. "Come on, Uncle, Soldier, we're going."

Zuko started to walk towards the door, but was stopped by the guards crossing their spears.

A soldier (not Reyna) entered the room.

"Commander Zhao, we interrogated the crew as you instructed. They confirmed Prince Zuko had the Avatar in custody but let him escape."

Reyna though then and there to have a talk with the crew about secrets.

Zhao smiled evilly. "Now remind me," Leaned into Zuko's space again. "How, exactly, was your ship damaged?"

Hey guys!

This is going to be a two part chapter.
