Catlula was walking down the streets of Coruscant toward the nearest hangar, carrying her luggage. She needed to get to a shuttle that would bring her to General Ackerson's base on Nanth'ri. As she walked, the twi'lek thought about the previous day.
She remembered the near disaster at the party and thought about how she could prevent a future wardrobe malfunction. Catlula bought a few metal bras after the old cloth bra broke. The bras were too small for her, but she chose to deal with the discomfort to not draw more attention toward herself. A female store clerk told her that the metal bra was more durable. All Catlula could think about was how uncomfortable it felt to wear. Her breasts had no room to breathe and smashed against her chest, but she was willing to sacrifice her comfort to prevent a possible disaster. The twi'lek knew she would eventually adjust to the change, but momentarily, her tits were in hell.
After a few minutes of walking with her heavy luggage rolling behind her, she saw the hangar. The twi'lek increased her pace as she got closer to the base. She was excited about the opportunity to fight in a professional army and did not want to waste time getting there.
She hastily entered the hangar and dodged around the many stormtroopers patrolling the base. Catlula's professional uniform caused everyone to ignore her as she speed-walked to her shuttle.
The twi'lek set down her luggage and said to the pilot, "I am going to General Ackerson's base on Nanth'ri."
The pilot nodded and said behind his black helmet, "Yes, ma'am. It should not take long to get there."
Then, the shuttle lifted off the ground and blasted off into the sky. Catlula buckled into her seat and waited until she reached the base.
The ship went into hyperspeed as it reached the mid-rim planet of Nanth'ri in a few minutes. Then, it went through the planet's atmosphere until it landed on the surface.
When the shuttle landed, the pilot said to the twi'lek, "You have reached your destination."
Catlula unbuckled herself from the seat and joyfully replied, "Thank you, sir." The girl grabbed her luggage and walked down the ship's ramp to the rocky surface. When she reached the bottom, the ramp retracted into the ship, and she watched it blast off into the sky.
Then, Catlula looked at the base. It was a massive complex surrounded by massive walls. The durasteel walls were very durable and would be very useful in the case of a rebel attack. The twi'lek walked on the grey, rocky surface toward the massive base. The weather was temperate, just like Coruscant, but the air felt very dusty. Catlula could feel pieces of rocky dust collide with her skin and build up on her clothes. Walking through the particle-infested air was very uncomfortable, but she knew this new feeling came with the environment. Besides, this was outside the base; it was probably better inside the complex.
The twi'lek ran toward the wall, and as she got closer to the structure, she could see what she assumed to be an entrance. The dust blinded her as she continued her journey, but she still knew where she was going. Eventually, she felt the cold metal of the wall and found the door, which did not have a handle.
The twi'lek stared at the door, thinking, "How am I supposed to get through an unmovable door? There must have been some sort of oversight."
Then, a red light appeared next to the door and scanned Catlula as she watched it move. Suddenly, the wall's entrance opened, and Catlula took the opportunity to infiltrate the area. Once she crossed the doorway, she saw she was in a transitional room between the base and the exterior. The place was white, with nothing to look at except the door on the other end of the room. The twi'lek brushed the grey, rocky dust from her skin and uniform, and she walked to the next door.
When Catlula entered the door, she saw a large hallway with many stormtroopers and officers walking around, getting from place to place. She joined the traffic until she reached a silver elevator. The twi'lek waited a few seconds until the elevator opened, and she and a few other stormtroopers entered the small metal box. Each Imperial in the elevator pressed the buttons showing which floor they wanted to go to, and Catlula picked the top floor. The girl stood in the back of the elevator, waiting until she reached her destination. Everyone in the elevator was static until they came to their destination and marched off the metal box. Catlula watched everyone else get off the elevator on each floor until she finally reached her destination as the only one left.
The twi'lek stepped off the elevator on the top floor, a place she was familiar with. She walked down the halls of the base until she reached the office of her commander, General Ackerson. Catlula opened the door and saw the face of her adopted father in front of her.
He looked at her with a kind, warm expression and said, "Please come in and take a seat. I have a few things I would like to discuss with you, Catlula."
The twi'lek said, "Yes, sir." and sat across from him, thinking, "If anyone else were my commander, this would be terrifying."
Ackerson put his arms on the table and said, "This first thing I want to ask you is: what do you think of the Emperor? I heard that you met him about a week ago." Catlula sat, nervous, thinking about what she should say. An Imperial general would not be happy with someone speaking out again the supreme ruler of the Empire. Ackerson likely knew what happened at the meeting, and as her adopted father, he may sympathize with her.
Finally, Catlula replied, "He reminds me of a master from a previous time.", nervous about what the general would say.
The man nodded in response to what the twi'lek said and said, "I can understand that: considering your experiences, but we must accept this as a part of living in the Empire. At least he is not constantly with you."
Catlula nodded at her commander's words and replied, "That makes sense, sir. All praise the Emperor."
Ackerson replied, "Yes, all praise the Emperor. Now, I am excited to have you in my army. You have shown yourself to be a brilliant cadet through the academy. When I was raising you, I could never have expected you would grow up to be as successful and accomplished as you are now. I am proud of you."
The twi'lek nodded and responded, "Thank you, sir."
Ackerson continued, "I will send you on a task force to destroy a Hutt-sponsored terrorist base on the planet of Ubrika in about a week. It will be great practice for you. Your room is Room Seven on the third floor. Your armor and sniper rifle are in the closet. You can train on the shooting range as you want. It is on the third basement level of the base."
Catlula replied, "Thank you, sir. I appreciate it. I will be ready for the mission."
Ackerson smiled and said, "I'm sure you will, Catlula. You can leave now."
Catlula replied, "Goodbye, sir." and left her seat and the room. She walked to the elevator and traveled down the building's floors until she reached the third floor. When the twi'lek arrived at the level and stepped off the metal box, she saw many other officers walking around and talking.
She walked through the hallway until she heard, "Hey, twi'lek." Catlula turned her head toward the voice and saw Eskol looking at her.
The twi'lek replied, annoyed, "You never seem to know when to leave me alone. I'm sure your decision to join the army was independent of mine."
Eskol shrugged and said, "I weighed the pros and cons, and now, you are stuck with me. I hope you will enjoy that."
Catlula rolled her eyes and continued walking to her room until she found a door with the number seven on it. She opened the door and saw two beds, each on their side of the room. A human girl with long blonde hair, wearing a tank top and shorts, sat on one of the beds, reading a book.
She looked up at the twi'lek with a smile and said, "You must be my roommate. My name is Felicia. I am a recent graduate from the Academy on Lothal."
Catlula walked to the bed, where all her items were, and said to her new roommate, "My name is Catlula. I am a recent graduate from the Academy on Coruscant."
Felicia's eyes were wide open in shock, and she replied, "You went to the Academy on Coruscant? That is a very prestigious place."
The twi'lek sat on her bed and said, "That does not matter now. We are both on the same level right now, and we can learn about our new lives in the Empire together."
Felicia braided her luscious blonde hair and replied with an upbeat tone, "I will look forward to our time in the Empire. I hope we can be great friends. There were not many other girls in the academy I attended."
Catlula smiled and replied, "I had the same experience at my academy. Now, I hope we will go through this experience together."
The blonde continued smiling and said, "I hope so."
