It was Zen's first day at U.A. He had made it to the classroom early, seeing a few other students walk in. He was looking for two people in particular. Rather than see the two friends he had made, Zen saw another peculiar student. A kid with orange eyes and messy black hair, who seemed to be the brooding type. Zen then saw Kitsuna walk through the door. She looked around for a second, Zen waving his hand when she looked in his direction. She walked over to him with a smile on her face.

"Hey, Zen! I'm so glad to see you here." Kitsuna said excitedly.

"I'm glad you made it too, Kitsuna." Zen said back.

"So how've ya been?" Kitsuna asked, sitting beside him.

"Doing good. How about you?" Zen answered and asked.

"I'm doing good. I was really hoping to see you here." Kitsuna said, kinda staring too hard.

"I was hoping to see you, too." Zen responded. He noticed her staring, but he was lost in her eyes.

"Zen?" A familiar voice rang out. Zen and Kitsuna both looked up.

"Ketsugi? Ha! I told you you'd make it!" Zen said, standing up. Ketsugi had walked over and the two fist bumped.

"You two know each other?" Kitsuna asked.

"We were in the same group during the battle exams. I'm Ketsugi, by the way." Ketsugi answered.

"Kitsuna." Kitsuna replied, extending a hand. Ketsugi shook it.

"And now we've got a school squad." Zen said, putting his arms around the two.

"Yeah. Power trio." Kitsuna said. Ketsugi smiled.

Their homeroom teacher then walked in. He walked to the front podium. Zen recognized the man. The stealth-inclined hero, Eraserhead.

"Everyone sit down." Eraserhead said.

Everyone did so. Eraserhead looked over the class, studying them.

"My name is Aizawa. I'll be your homeroom teacher. Now come on. Time for your Quirk Apprehension Test." Aizawa said to his students.

Aizawa led the class outside. There, he explained to them the Quirk Apprehension Test. They then started.

First up was the 50-meter dash. Zen had the second fastest time, clearing it in 3.17 seconds. He was beat by Ketsugi, who cleared it in 2.89 seconds, while only partially using his Quirk. Zen gave him a thumbs up.

Next was the grip strength test. Zen got first on this one, reaching 379.8 kg. Kitsuna was close behind with 367.5 kg.

The next two tests where the standing longjump, which Zen easily cleared, and the sidesteps, Zen having reached 247 without much use of his Quirk. Ketsugi and Kitsuna both cleared the sandbox for the longjump. Kitsuna tied scores with Zen on the sidesteps, while Ketsugi severely outclassed them, getting 923.

Up next was the ball throw. Ketsugi was the first to go. Putting all the strength he could into his arms, he threw the ball about 49.9 meters. A few other students went before the kid with messy black hair went up. Zen heard that his name was Kyosuke. Kyosuke used his Quirk, forming black tendrils to throw the ball. He got a distance of 305.2 meters. Kitsuna was up next. She activated her Quirk, six pink energy tails forming behind her. She threw the ball, making a total distance of 989.4 meters. A few more students made their throws. Last up was Zen. He decided to use his Quirk at it's current maximum capabilities. Stepping up to the pitch, he converted his elements into energy, enhancing his strength. He began throwing the ball, deactivating his strength boost as soon as the ball left his hand, then hit the ball with lightning for an extra boost. Aizawa showed the ball's distance, reaching 1,346.2 meters. Zen heard gasps of awe as he walked back to Kitsuna and Ketsugi.

The class performed the final three tests, Zen, Kitsuna, and Ketsugi passing them all. They returned to their class, where they continued on with a more traditional day of school.

Author's Note: So, this chapter will be the last NIGHTLY chapter. Uploads will slow down. My goal is to have at least one chapter posted a week. Sorry 'bout that. These first four chapters were the only ones I had pre-written.
