Hello my lovely readers! We are back with a new chapter.

I have to apologize in advance for not posting for a while. I was busy with work, life, had a few mental break downs, holidays, and stressed. I appreciate the patience and hope to get more stories out sooner than later.

We have two questions so lets get into that;

Any endings in certain episodes such as Sweet Temptation you might change for the better?

That is without a doubt, a huge yes. I will work around some stories that were meh, others I will leave as it is because they were either a favorite episode (trust me there will be plenty) or I couldn't find other ways to change the story.

Were there any certain moments from cartoons or movies from Audrey's childhood that terrified her?

Only a few. The wolf chase scene from Beauty and the Beast, Maleficent's dragon form from Sleeping Beauty, The Jungle book (self explanatory), and The Bander-snatch's chase in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

Thanks for the question! They're so fun to answer!

Now, without any delay, let's continue our story...

Season 1, episode 4; Sitter-Jitters

Today was Saturday in Inkwell, and like any Saturday, the boys woke up early to play games and to listen to Dirk Dangerous on the radio. Josh and Audrey were in the kitchen making breakfast and Elder Kettle was once more reading the paper. Audrey looked over at the boys and smiled.

They were adorable as they ate their food and giggled as they were listening to the radio. It reminded her of her days as a child when she and her best friend Sasha would have sleepovers and watch cartoons the next day. Of course, they would stay up way past their bedtimes and go home cranky and tired. While it drove their mothers crazy, they still had great memories and began a wonderful friendship which then led to both of them being maids of honor at their weddings.

"Now one of us is going to have kids and we'll be aunts." Audrey smiled as she sipped her tea. Just then, she hears the boys argue once more.

"Hey! I want to read the comics!" Cuphead shouted as he tried to yank the paper from his brother. "That's the best part of the paper!"

"Well, you're gonna have to wait your turn!" Mugman snapped as he pulled back. "I had it first, so I got to read them first."

"I want to read it now!" Cuphead won.

"In a second!" Mugman retorted.

The two argued, shouted and pulled back and forth, like in a game of tug-o-war, when Audrey stepped in.

"Hey! Hey! Stop fighting! You both can read the paper."

She took the newspaper, took the two pages out and handed them to them.

"There, see? You both have a section of the funnies." Audrey announced. "And when you're done with the sections, you can switch. Can you do that?"

"Yeah, that works." They replied. "Thanks, Audrey."

"No problem. But you guys still need to not fight with each other." She calmly reminded them, as she knelt to their level. "I know you boys can get on each other's nerves, but remember, you're brothers, and you should look out for each other. Fighting won't help."

"Sorry, Audie, we don't mean to fight." Cuphead replied. "Well, we do make it an annual thing."

"Oh, yeah, we get into fights for no reason." Mugman claimed. "Now that I think about it, it doesn't sound right."

Audrey sighed. She knew they were good kids but getting into annual fights wasn't the best idea, especially if they actually pounded and punched each other.

Just then, the telephone rang.

"I'll get it." Josh claimed, as he headed into the living room. He picked it up and replied. "Kettle residents. Uh huh. Ok. Yeah makes sense. Oh, today? Well, I'll ask."

Putting his hand over the phone, he informed Audrey "Hey someone is looking for a babysitter for today. She's going out to lunch with some friends and with her husband working in the city, he can't look after the kids."

"How many kids does she have?" she asked.

"Two. They're ages four and three." Josh replied.

"Hmm..sure. Tell them we'd be happy to babysit." Audrey finally replied.

Josh nodded and went back to the phone. "Yes, ma'am, I'm still here. We can do it today. What time would you like us over? Uh huh. Ok, we'll be over in twenty minutes. Ok, bye."

He hung up the phone and sighed. "Well, looks like we got a babysitting job today."

"I think that's sweet to help out." Audrey smiled. "I know we don't know a lot of people but I believe this will be a good way to do that."

"Ya sure you want to do babysitting?" Cuphead asked. "I don't want to go through the experience of the last time we took care of a baby."

"I still have nightmares about it." Mugman shuddered, rubbing his arms nervously.

Audrey arched an eyebrow in confusion, but then she remembered. While she and Josh were out, an infant by the name of Baby Bottle, was left on their doorstep and the boys did what they could to take care of it. However, he was not as sweet as they thought, as he nearly killed them and nearly destroyed the house. They managed to get him out and sent to another family, hopefully they'll have a better time with him than they did.

"Look, from what you told me, it did sound, pretty bad." Audrey stated, as she sat down and placed Mugman on her lap. "But from the sound of things, we're just watching a few kids for a bit while their mom is at lunch. Plus, I'll be there to help you, since I have babysat kids before."

"Besides, you two work pretty well as a team." Josh mentioned. "I know you have your differences, but I think you both can make it work. And it's two kids. I think you'll be fine."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Mugman mentioned, as he felt Audrey rub his back. "Cuphead, whaddya say? Wanna give it a try?"

Cuphead thought long and hard before replying "Alright, fine. But if either one of them makes a ceiling fan fall, I'm outta there."

"That's the spirit!" Mugman beamed. Audrey could tell that after that last instance, Cuphead wanted nothing to do with babysitting or taking care of little kids. But at the same time, he wasn't heartless and wanted to help.

So, that was a good thing.

"Well, sounds like you guys have things planned out for the day." Elder Kettle claimed, looking up from the paper. "Though I was wondering if someone would be willing to stay home and help me with some errands?"

"I can." Josh volunteered. "That is, if you need any help, Audie."

"I think the boys and I can manage." She assured him. "Plus, I know kids can be a handful, but we can work with it."

Besides, how much trouble can two little kids be?

A few hours later, after getting ready, the trio headed over to the house to babysit the kids. It was a bit odd for Audrey to look after children she never knew, not to mention feeling a bit worried that a mother would trust their children with complete strangers, but this was placed in the 1930s, so cell phones weren't invented and people had to resort to calling people in the neighborhood.

Audrey did remember when she was little, there were a few older kids that would watch her and her older sister when her parents would go out for the night or needed someone to pick them up after school. They would hang out, watch movies and play some fun games. Sometimes, if she was really lucky, they would let her stay up past her bedtime.

Once she was older, she would babysit her baby cousin or other kids around the neighborhood and made good friendships with the kids. It was hard for her to leave them when she went to college, but she still kept in touch.

They soon arrived at a white house with a red roof on top, while the house was surrounded by a field of flowers, a small garden and had a porch swing.

They approached the front door and knocked. It was an anthropomorphic racoon lady who was wearing a pink apron, aligned with white stitches, with a small front pocket which had a tulip embroidered on it. She was holding a small mixing bowl with a wooden spoon and some sort of dough inside.

"Oh, you're here!" She exclaimed. "I'm so happy you're here! I'm Mrs. Racoon and this is my humble home."

"Hi, Mrs. Raccoon. I'm Cuphead and this is my brother Mugman and our new friend, Audrey." Cuphead smiled.

"Hi, Mrs. Raccoon, ma'am." Mugman meekly replied. "It's nice to meet you."

"Hi, nice to see you." Audrey chimed in.

"Well, I'm glad you three are here and I'm sorry it was last minute." Mrs. Racoon explained, letting them in. "My sitter who is usually here felt ill and needed to stay home. I know it sounded weird for me to call random people, but I didn't have much choice since I have time to meet with my friend."

"It's totally understandable, and it's no trouble at all." Audrey claimed, as they entered the living room. "Things happen and we're more than happy to help out."

"Yeah, and I'm sure we can watch your kids for a few hours." Cuphead added. "I know kids can be handfuls, trust me, but we can handle it."

"Oh, bless your hearts. I appreciate your willingness to help." Mrs. Raccoon smiled.

She then took a breath and informed them "Now, there's a few things you need to know about the children. There's two of them; Niko is four and Maple is three years old. They love playing games but can get really hyper, especially during 'Duck, Duck, Goose'. I have made some cookie dough for you to bake, the recipe is on the counter. They only get one cookie and the rest goes in the cookie jar. Let's see, what else? Oh yes. They love reading books, so that should keep them occupied, and naptime for them is at two o'clock. They can be very fussy when they miss it, so try to calm them down. There's a music box in Maple's room which usually helps."

"Ok, that sounds pretty straightforward." Mugman stated. "Erm, where are they now?"

Before she could answer, suddenly they heard the sound of little feet running and giggling coming towards them, and sure enough, it was the little raccoon kids. Niko was an anthropomorphic raccoon wearing a red baseball cap, a green t-shirt, blue shorts and orange sneakers. Maple was another raccoon who wore a smoked pink dress with puffy sleeves, a folded collar, and ribbon tied around her waist. She had a matching bow in her head, white socks and Mary Janes.

They ran up to their mother giggling.

"Mommy! Mommy! We played tag and I won!" Niko squealed.

"Nuh-uh! I won! I won!" Maple shouted.

"Did not!" Niko cried.

"Did too!"

The two began to argue until Mrs. Raccoon piped up and announced "Alright, alright. No need to shout. Now, I want to let you children know that-"

"Who are they?" Niko asked, pointing at the group. "The one with the cup looks weird."

"Hey! I ain't weird!" Cuphead argued.

"Whoa whoa, easy, Cuphead." Audrey calmly stated, holding Cuphead back. "They're little. Try to remember that."

"Niko, it's not nice to point and to call someone weird." Their mother replied. "Now, can you say you're sorry?"

"Sorry." Niko glumly replied.

"Eh, it's fine." Cuphead shrugged. "I ain't too worried about it."

"Good. Now, children, these people are here to babysit you while Mommy goes out for a bit." She explained. "You are going to have fun with them and play with them when I get back."

"How long will you be gone?" Maple asked, looking at her mother with sad eyes.

"I will be gone by two-thirty. So when the Little hand on the clock is on the two and the big hand is on the six." Her mother replied, pointing to the clock. "You think you can be a good girl for mommy?"

Maple nodded and her mother smiled and gave her a kiss on the nose. Turning to Audrey, she explained "I'm sorry. Maple can be shy around new faces. I hope you understand."

"Eh, it's fine. I used to babysit kids, so I get that they might be shy with new people." Audrey claimed. "But I'm sure we'll be alright with them."

"Good. Now, I need to get going and if there's any issues, I'll be over by the Garden Club in the city." Mrs. Raccoon replied. "I'm going to change and get going."

She headed off to her bedroom and came back wearing a nice top and skirt, holding a purse in her hand.

"Alright. I'll be back in a few." She gave a hug and kiss to her children before departing. Once she was gone, the trio was left with the raccoon kids.

"Ok, looks like we're gonna hang out for a bit." Audrey smiled. "Since it's pretty early for lunch, how about we play a few games?"

"Oh! Oh! Can we play hide-and-seek?!" Niko asked, jumping up and down. "Pretty please?!"

"That sounds like fun." Mugman giggled. "Wanna play, Maple?"

"Ok! I like that game." She beamed.

"Alright! But who'll be it?" Cuphead asked.

"I'll do it." Audrey claimed. "You guys hide and I'll look for ya."

The children nodded. Audrey then turned around, covered her eyes and began to out to ten, as the kids giggled and scurried off to their hiding spots. Once she had finished, she crept through the house to look for them.

She found both Cup boys easily, since they were in the same hiding spot, they found Maple under her bed but finding Niko was a challenge. They searched and searched until they saw a little tail sticking out from the curtain of the living room.

Audrey snuck up to it and stood next to it. Like a game show hostess, she announced "And let's see what's behind curtain number one."

She pulled it back to reveal Niko there.

"Awww man! You found me!" He groaned playfully.

They then played more rounds of hide-and-seek, played other games, read stories and had some fun.

For the trio, it looked like things were going well. Sure they got competitive, Cuphead no doubt, but they came to good sportsman terms and proceeded to play as pals.

Things seemed to go pretty well. But little did they know, it was about to get really crazy.

After lunch, and while the kids were playing with marbles in the living room, Audrey was reading a magazine in the kitchen, when she heard the timer go off. She opened the oven and pulled the tray of cookies out and took a whiff.

"Mmmm, very tasty. Just like how my mom would make them." She sighed as she put the tray on the stove. Once they cooled off, she slipped them on a plate, just as the kids came running in chanting

"Cookies! Cookies! Cookies!"

"Alright, alright." Audrey laughed. "You can have your cookies."

She handed each of them one cookie and then pulled out glasses and poured milk into them. They ate and were very satisfied. Since the other cookies had cooled off, Audrey, after having one herself because why not, stored the rest of the cookies in the cookie jar.

"No, wait!" Niko called. "I wanna have another one!"

"Me too!" Maple whined. "I want another cookie!"

"Sorry, guys, but your mom told me to give you only one." Audrey calmly reminded them. "I know they're really yummy, but you can have some later."

"I don't wanna wait til later! I want a cookie now!" Niko shouted.

"Huh, reminds me of you, Cuphead." Mugman joked, wiping his mouth with his napkin.

"Yeah, right." Cuphead rolled his eyes.

"Come on, Miss Audrey! Can't I have one more!? Pleeeeeease?" Niko pleaded.

"I'm sorry, Niko. I think one cookie is enough." Audrey calmly repeated, as she placed the cookie jar on a high shelf. "Come on, why don't we play another game?"

She then escorted the kids out of the kitchen, not knowing Niko and Maple were eyeing the cookie jar. Once they got into the living room, Audrey claimed "Ok, since Cuphead chose the last game, Mugman, would you like to choose?"

"Sure! How about we play with jacks and a rubber ball?" He suggested.

"That sounds good. I think I left them in the bedroom." Cuphead remembered.

"Oh, and I left my bookbag and other games. Mugman, can you come and help me carry them?"

"You bet." Mugman nodded.

The three of them left the room and Maple noticed her brother sneaking into the kitchen. Curious, she followed him and saw him staring at the cookie jar that was high on the shelf. He knew he couldn't have another one, but he wanted one so badly. I mean, I know I would.

Love cookies.

"Niko, what are you looking at?" Maple asked.

"I want to get the cookie jar to get another one." He answered. "I want another one, but it's too high."

"But Miss Audrey said that we can't have another one." Maple reminded him.

"I know, but I want another one and I won't stop till I get it." He announced. "Besides, I'll get one for you too."

"Well, ok. Can I come and help?" Maple asked.

"Sure, just give me a leg up."

She clasped her hands together and helped him up, getting him on the counter, as the two made their way to the shelf. The trio then returned to the living room, only to not see the raccoon kids.

"Huh? Where are they?" Mugman asked.

"They're gone! We only left for like ten seconds!" Cuphead replied, looking around frantically.

"Ok, calm down, they couldn't have gone far…" Audrey trailed off.

Just then, they looked in the kitchen and saw them climbing on the high counter! Audrey knew one thing; if they fell, they could hurt themselves, not to mention all the dangerous cooking equipment on there as well!

"Oh jeez! Niko! Maple!" The three shouted as they bolted to the kitchen.

As the raccoon kids were climbing, Niko's foot steps on a rolling pin and pushed it, causing it to roll on the floor. Cuphead, who was a few feet, slipped on it and began rolling around the kitchen.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" He cried. He was like the guy at the circus who would roll around on a ball. While they chased Cuphead, little did they know, Maple accidentally slipped her feet on the stove, causing it to heat up.

As Cuphead rolled around on the pin, Niko moved over a large pot that landed on the cup's head (no pun intended there) and made him skid around blind.

"Oh crud! I can't see! I can't see!" Cuphead shouted.

"Oh no! Don't worry Cuphead! I'll help ya!" Mugman shouted, rushing off the counter and after his brother. Just then, he slipped on the bar of soap that fell off the counter and ran into Cuphead, which made him hold onto him. Before they could react, they rolled into the oven and the door was locked shut.

"Oh jeez! Guys!" Audrey cried. She hopped off the counter and tried to open it but was stuck. "Oh come on!"

To make matters worse, Maple's foot slipped on the heat and moved it from low, high, to extreme heat! Not only that, but she turned the faucet on and water spilled out, flooding the place. The water was up to Audrey's knees.

"Ohhh this is bad! Really really bad!" She gasped.

Just then, the timer on the oven went off and the boys came shooting out, their shorts on fire, running around the kitchen with great speed.

"YEEEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWWCCCCCHHHHH!" They screamed. They then slammed into the wall and fell, landing in the water, which thankfully cooled them off.

"Ahhhh..much better." Cuphead sighed. Mugman grabbed the pot from his head and yanked on it until it came off.

"You ok, Cuphead?" Mugman asked.

"Yeah. I'll live." Cuphead replied, rubbing his head. They then saw Audie call out to the raccoon kids. "Niko! Maple! Get down from there!"

"No! We wanna have another cookie!" Niko called. Just then, the water from the faucet pushed the plates that were in the sink and began to tip over the edge.

"Oh jeez!" Audrey rushed over and as the plates began to fall, she caught them using very fast and great movements. She had some on her hands, and head, trying to balance them while praying she didn't slip on the water.

Finally, she maintained balance and sighed. "Whew. Close one. Ok, I just need to place these carefully in the sink…"

"Miss Audrey, are you ok-" Mugman started to ask, but then, his foot stepped on and slipped on the bar of soap that was in front of him, causing him to slide right into Audrey. The plates flew up and

*CRASH!*

They shattered on the ground, upon impact. Audrey's eyes grew wide and gasped with fear. Not only was she scared when Mrs. Raccoon came home, but she was worried if Niko or Maple fell and would hurt themselves.

"Ohhh this is bad." Audrey muttered as she and Mugman got up.

"I-I'm sorry, Miss Audrey." Mugman whimpered. "My foot must have slipped on the soap! It's my fault you dropped them."

"Honey, it's not your fault." Audrey assured him. "You didn't see it and honestly, it's a bit chaotic in here."

Just then, the raccoon kids made it to the cookie jar and were about to open it up when they both slipped and fell! Freaking out, Audrey grabbed her sketchbook and drew a huge cushion for them to fall on.

They landed safely and unharmed, giggling with delight and still holding the cookie jar. The trio took a breath. That was something they did not want to go through again.

While they were thrilled to see the kids alive and without a scratch on them, they still needed to get the kitchen cleaned up and back in one piece. Not to mention fixing the plates that were shattered.

As the children munched on the cookies, suddenly, they stopped eating and their eyes became huge.

"Whoa, what's going on?" Mugman asked, concerned.

"Yeah, they look kinda…dazed?" Cuphead wondered.

Then, they shook. It started small and got faster and faster until it came clear to Audrey; they were on a sugar rush! And with a lot of sugar in the cookies, well, you get the picture.

Before they could act, the furry children jumped and screamed with joy, bolting out of the kitchen. This was no ordinary running speed. This is like Sonic the Hedgehog going Sonic boom.

"Oh no!" Mugman cried. "They've gone wild!"

"Sheesh! That must be a ton of sugar!" Cuphead gasped.

"Come on! After them!" Audrey called.

And thus began the longest and most stressful chase around the house. They hopped from room to room, jumping on beds, throwing pillows, cushions and toys, nearly destroying vases, lamps and other expensive objects, and the entire inside of the house was a warzone.

Thankfully, the sugar wore off and the kids stopped running, as they laid on the thrown pillows and blankets, laughing their heads off. The trio, however, was exhausted. Audrey knew the boys could deal with running around a lot, but from the looks of things, they were ready for some rest.

"Lord, if I have kids, please don't make me go through this again." Audrey prayed as she panted. "I think I got a taste of parenthood and boy is it bitter."

"Well, I'm glad that's over." Cuphead groaned. "I just hope we can get this place cleaned up before their mom comes home."

"If we can get it before she comes back." Mugman corrected, slumping on a pillow. "When she sees this, we're doomed."

Just then, Niko and Maple stopped laughing, and out of nowhere, began to cry.

"Oh no, now what?" Cuphead groaned. "We're just sitting here!"

Audrey pondered for a second and looked at the clock. It was 2:10pm and then remembered; they were supposed to have their nap at around two and with all the running around, time slipped by and missed it.

"Oh, guys, they're tired. That's why they're upset." Audrey announced. "I have an idea. You guys straighten their rooms as much as possible and I'll get them to calm down."

"Are you sure you can handle it?" Mugman asked. "I know it's a great idea but after all that, you must be tired."

"While I appreciate that, we have to get them to nap, otherwise their mom will come home with fussy kids." She explained.

Mugman nodded and he and his brother raced into their room to straighten up. She then scooped up the crying kids in her arms and began to rock them gently. It wasn't working, especially since this was the same way her mother calmed her down as a small child.

"Argh, come on. They can't be that fussy." Audrey thought. "There's got to be something that calms them…"

Just then, she remembered what Mrs. Raccoon told her; in Maple's bedroom, there was a music box that would help the children relax.

She walked to Maple's room and found the music box on a shelf above a toy chest. Getting Maple in her other arm, she managed to turn and open the music box, revealing a twirling ballerina in it. The music began to play and to Audrey's surprise, it sounded really familiar.

She hummed to the tune, trying to get the name, when it hit her.

"Oh! I know this song!" She smiled. She noticed the kids were not calming down and needed to try something.

Then, she had an idea. She cleared her throat and began to gently sing to them.

***New song; "La La Lu" From Lady and the Tramp (slightly edited)***

Audrey: La la lu, la la lu. Oh, you little star sweepers
*She gently bounced them in her arms, as she started to feel them calm down, despite them still crying.

Audrey: We'll sweep the stardust for you. La la lu, la la lu
*Then, they began to feel tired, not only from the crying but the sugar rush as well. Their eyes began to droop a bit and felt heavier and heavier as they listened to her sing.

Audrey: Little soft, fluffy sleepers. Here comes a pink cloud for you
*As soon as they calmed down, she carefully placed Maple in her bed and Niko on the cushion near the bed.

Audrey; La la lu, la la lu. Little wandering angels fold up your wings…Close your eyes
*She then tucked them under blankets and handed them each a small stuffed animal. She gently stroked their cheeks, as they couldn't keep their eyes open any longer.

Audrey: La la lu, la la lu…and may love be your keepers…La la lu, la la lu, la la lu.
*Audrey leaned forward and gave each of them a small kiss on their foreheads, seeing them sleep blissfully. She then stood up and crept quietly to the door.

Audrey: There now, little star sweepers…dream on

*She turned off the lights and closed the door gently.

Once that was over, Audrey carefully and quietly walked to the living room. She took a breath and then jumped a bit when she heard snoring. She looked over and saw Cuphead and Mugman passed out on the couch. She had to smile.

"They must have heard me sing." She quietly thought. "I guess they were worn out as well."

She then looked around the area and saw it needed a major clean up, not to mention getting cookies back in the jar. So, she took out her sketchpad and like what she did to the cottage, she reorganized the living room and kitchen. With her spare time, she found the cookie recipe and made a fresh batch, putting them in the jar.

Once she was done, she cleaned up the kitchen, with time to spare of course, and flopped on the couch, exhausted. She didn't mind the hard work, but after all that, she needed a break.

She wasn't sure if it was the tiredness, the heat, or a little bit of both, but she became very tired and fell asleep. However, unknown to her, the Devil was watching her from his looking glass. He decided to check on her, seeing what she was up to, and when he heard her sing, he was completely mesmerized by it.

"Oh, she's wonderful. Not only is she beautiful, and strong, but she has an elegant voice." he sighed, as he caressed the glass, as if he was stroking her cheek. "I will have you for my wife, one way or another."

He gave a nasty chuckle. He was determined more than ever to have Audrey as his wife and queen. He didn't care if she made that 'excuse' that she's married. He could easily break his neck and have her.

And he was willing to do anything to do that.

A while later, Audrey was startled awake by the sound of the door opening. She looked and saw Mrs. Raccoon entered the house.

"Oh, hi, Audrey!" She beamed. "I'm sorry I took so long. I was finishing up a conversation and I lost track of time."

"Oh, it's no problem." Audrey replied, sitting up and yawning. "Sorry about the yawn. We, had a bit of fun together."

"Oh, I'm glad! Was there any trouble?"

"Uh, nothing too bad. I had to settle a disagreement with your kids, but it worked out well."

"Good. Anyway, I want to give you something for your hard work."

She reached into her purse and gave her three ten dollar bills. "I appreciate you helping and I hope you can come again soon. Are they still asleep?"

"Oh, yes. They are heavy sleepers." Audrey replied.

"That they are. I wonder if they take after their father. Oh well. I'll take care of things from here. You three can head home."

Audrey nodded, got the boys up, thanked Mrs. Raccoon and departed. As they walked to the cottage, Cuphead let out a groan.

"Man, that was crazy. I think I wanna take it easy for the rest of the day."

"Agreed. I think I had enough thrills for a day." Mugman added.

"You boys deserve some rest. You did a great job with them and I'm proud." Audrey smiled. "And you see? It wasn't so bad. Sure we had some close calls, but we lived."

"Plus, it does show that taking care of little kids can be a challenge." Mugman claimed. "Do you think you and Josh will have kids someday?"

"Oh, wow, I never really thought about it. We got married last year, so, the whole thing is still a bit fresh to me." Audrey replied.

"Well, as long as they don't shove us in the oven, I'll be ok with that." Cuphead announced, as they went through the front door.

Josh, who was finishing unpacking groceries, looked up and saw them.

"Hey, how'd it go?" He asked.

"Not too bad. Had some close calls, but we're good." Audrey sighed.

"Glad to hear. You guys should take a break. You look a bit tired."

"Don't tell us twice." The boys groaned.

Just then, they heard the phone ring.

"Who could be calling now?" Josh wondered as he went and answered the phone. "Kettle residence. Uh huh. Uh huh. Really? Wow. Ok, uh let me ask."

Putting his hand over the phone, he informed Audrey "Hey, someone heard about how well you guys handled the Raccoon kids, and were wondering if you and the boys would be interested in babysitting another kid?"

The trio looked at each other…and collapsed on the ground in exhaustion.

Josh, getting the message, replied "Erm, they're a bit, occupied at the moment. I'll let you know when they're back."

As much as Audrey wanted to help, something told her to let someone else do it.

And trust me when I say this, it was a good choice.

Well, that was a crazy day! Looks like taking care of kids is not as easy as it sounds. Glad that things worked out in the end! But with the Devil hearing her sing, it seems that he's interested more than ever! Let's hope Josh and the others can help her!

Anyway, thanks for reading! Don't forget to leave a review, but let's avoid the flames please :D
