It's still Odaiba Day as I post this, so it still counts!
I hope you all are well and enjoy this latest chapter!
I DO NOT OWN DIGIMON ADVENTURE, 02, TAMERS, FRONTIER OR SAVERS!
Chapter 27: The Veterans
Frontier Digital World: Location: Ophanimon's Palace Terminal
It was approaching sundown when Trailmon finally pulled into the terminal just outside the palace. Umi looked around in awe. There were so many Digimon! And once they cleared the station and began making their way to the palace, she couldn't help but to compare their surroundings to the few western fairytales she'd heard growing up with huge castles. Though it was clear adult Takato knew his way around, he suggested that Yutaka and Bokomon lead their group while he brought up the rear. He'd taken to wearing his hood up and keeping to the back of their group during their train ride (pulled along by a train Digimon - how cool was that?! Digimon could be anything it seemed) and Guilmon was once more in Takato's digivice due to being such a unique and recognizable Digimon.
They were greeted by a Nefertimon - like what Kari's partner would turn into when she armor digivolved - and were led to a large meeting room of some kind where there were a lot of adults milling about in front of a wall of screens.
"Yutaka!" A man greatly resembling the older teen shouted, gaining the room's attention. The woman beside him gasped before coming forward.
"Shinya!" another woman and man shouted before rushing the young boy.
Both Yutaka and Shinya were swept up into hugs by the couples who were obviously their parents.
"Thank goodness you're safe," Shinya's mom wept, and Yutaka's mom was expressing similar sentiments.
The other adults hung back to give the two families space and Umi, Rikuto and Takato did the same, allowing them to have their moment. Umi felt Rikuto take hold of her hand and squeeze it reassuringly. She smiled sadly up at her older brother and leaned into his side. It had been five years since their parents had died and it was at times like this that missing them hurt the most.
"And who are you three?" a woman who looked rather sickly asked. Her face was kind as she approached them, skirting around the bubble of space the two families were still reuniting in. A few more of the adults followed her.
"I'm Rikuto and this is my sister Umi," her brother answered.
"And is he your father?" the woman asked.
Rikuto snorted while Umi giggled as she heard Takato choke behind them.
"I'm too young to be their parent!" she heard the dimension traveler protest as he threw off his hood to reveal how young he was. "I'm only twenty three!"
"We don't have parents," Rikuto declared. "Ours died in an accident five years ago. Umi and I have been bounced between orphanages and foster homes ever since. We were going to run away when Shinya and Yutaka found us and brought us to the Digital World."
Shocked, worried and sympathetic expressions crossed the adults' faces and soon Shinya and Yutaka were explaining about Dark Trailmon and meeting Umi and Rikuto and how they became the final two Warrior Digidestined.
"So that explains them, but then who is he?" Yutaka's father asked, looking at Takato.
"A man not of this dimension," a woman's ethereal voice answered just before what looked like two armored angels and a strange pink clown bunny monster entered the room. "We felt your arrival in our world early this morning."
"Lady Ophanimon. Lord Seraphimon. Lord Cherubimon," Takato said as he came forward and bowed to each Digmon in turn. "I am Takato Matsuki, DATS Representative from Earth designatio dash 3. I come to aid your world in hopes of helping stop what is occurring within the Genesis Digital World. Three more of my teammates are currently on the other worlds missing Digidestined and together we hope to open communications and a way to send help to those missing children. If you'll permit me, I'd like to get started as soon as possible."
"You claim to be from another world and that you are here to provide aid," the blue armored angel said with a male voice. "You may look like an older version of the Takato Matsuki we've been watching from another world, but how can we be sure that we can trust you?"
"If you won't take my word for it, then how about from someone more familiar to you?" Takato suggested, sliding a large bag off his back and pulled out a silver disk. Takato fiddled with it for a moment before setting it down on the ground in a large open space where no one was standing. Takato himself took several steps back before saying, "Message commence. Voice print: Takato. Code: 301JP2."
"VOICE PRINT ACCEPTED. PLAYING MESSAGE," a robotic tone said before the disk lit up and a hologram appeared. A young man with chestnut brown hair and brown eyes that looked to be in his mid twenties wearing a dark red hooded duster coat similar to Takato's appeared. And Umi realized that she knew that face. It was obviously older than the one she'd seen on TV, but it was most definitely Takuya Kanbara.
At the sight of him, several people gasped, and the Kanbara family looked close to tears.
"Hey there," the adult Takuya said, grinning. "If Takato's playing this message, that means someone isn't sure that they can trust him. My money's on Lord Seraphimon. If he's anything like the Lord Seraphimon that I've been working with since I joined DATS, then he's only doing it out of caution. So no worries, big guy. I know that you're just looking out for us… well… for your team of Warrior DigiDestined. I'm not sure how similar or how different our two worlds are. As you can see, my dimension is a good many years timeline-wise ahead of yours. …And I might as well address the elephant in the room. Clearly, I haven't met my own demise yet - though not from a lack of trying from all the enemies I've faced in the last decade."
"That's not comforting, Takuya!" someone's (Tai Kamiya maybe?) voice yelled in the background while another voice Umi didn't recognize cackled.
"Right, sorry," adult Takuya's hologram sighed. "That was insensitive of me. I-" His expression faltered for a moment, grief and remorse flickering across his features. "I'm sorry. I know how hard it must be to see me standing here - an adult Takuya who's finished school, grown up and is living a life that your version of me no longer has the potential to have. I don't know who's all watching this. I don't know if your Takuya's family is as ignorant of the Digital World as mine is, or if because of events occurring in your world they have become aware… but I want you to know that you can trust us. That you can trust Takato. Because we want the others to come home safely. Because I don't want to watch the younger versions of our friends die like I had to watch my counterpart die. Because… I don't want his sacrifice to be in vain. I don't know who Takato will meet or what situations will be awaiting him when he arrives in your world, but I hope that you're willing to give us a chance. To give him a chance to prove that our team is trustworthy and has only the best intentions to help. We've gone to many different worlds and have come across our fair share of danger and obstacles. But I think what's most important in the current situation is to state that we know how to help worlds connect - or in your case reconnect - to the Dimensional Corridor. Takato is one of the most experienced members of our team who's had to deal with this kind of situation the most - second only to Tai of course."
"Hey!"
"You know it's true, dude," Takuya laughed, looking off to the side. "You and Takato always find yourselves mixed up in the weirdest shit, I swear. And then Masaru and I have to find some way to come save your asses."
"Damn right we do!" the unidentified voice said (maybe this Masaru person that kept getting mentioned?).
"Guys, focus, we're supposed to be reassuring them that we're there to help," Takato's voice said in the background of Takuya's message.
"Right, sorry," Takuya sighed. "But honestly? I don't think there's much else I can say to convince you. You'll either trust Takato - and by extension myself and the rest of our team - to help you establish contact with the other worlds, or you won't. Though I really hope you do if only for Takato's sake. I don't know what the poor guy is going to do otherwise since it's not like we'll all be able to return to our own worlds after we make this jump until this crisis with the Genesis world is over. And even then it'll probably take a good chunk of time to stabilize your branch of the DC enough for us to travel back home through. So I guess… let us help you bring back your missing DigiDestined because we're all stuck here until things are fixed one way or another."
"Wow. You basically just told them to trust us because otherwise we're stuck in their worlds. Why are you so terrible at this, Takuya?" Tai Kamiya's voice sighed.
"I'm not the politician you are!" Takuya complained. "I didn't take fancy speech classes in college or participate on any debate team like you did! There's a reason we all elected you as our leader and spokesperson."
"I'm just now realizing why there's a reason your army is mostly made up of Digimon from your home world," Takato drawled. "And most of those are the reborn spirits of the Legendary Warriors and therefore shouldn't count. I'm starting to wonder why Omegamon didn't pick Koji or Koichi to be the chosen General from your world. Koji's better with his words. I doubt he would have butchered this message nearly as badly as you have."
"Hey!" Takuya protested, turning around and pointing at someone off the hologram. "When did this become Pick On Takuya Day?! I'm doing my best here!"
"Your best is shit, Taky."
"At least I am way better at this sort of thing than you are, Masaru Daimon! You just go out and solve most problems by punching things."
"I'mma man of action, not words! Bite me!"
"Oh for the love of the Sovereign, I swear," Tai growled before he walked into sight on the hologram beside Takuya, physically spun him around to face forward again, and pushed down his head into a bow as Tai bowed his own head in apology. "I am so sorry to whomever has the misfortune of watching this trainwreck of a message. I swear my team is actually competent in what we do and that all we want is to help save your worlds and all other branches of the DC from destruction. We understand that it is imperative that aid be sent to those stranded in the Genesis Digital World before anymore lives are lost. We may not be able to do anything directly to help your missing DigiDestined, but we are more than willing to help provide you the tools to send them the help they need. I know that it's a lot to ask, but please trust us and let us help you."
After Tai finished his little speech the hologram cut out and Takato picked it back up.
"Sorry about that," Takato chuckled. "Our Takuya spends so much time out in the field fighting alongside his Jump partner Masaru and their teams that I swear he's forgotten most of his people skills. Koji once told me that Taky used to be better at this sort of thing. If we hadn't been about to make the jump to your DC, I'm positive that Tai would have ordered him to take a few mandatory humanities courses or something."
Umi looked over at the Kanbara family as the mother gave a watery laugh.
"Takuya has always been like that," she said. "He may not be the best with his words, but he normally makes up for it with his actions."
"That tracks," Takato chuckled before looking somber. "I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't think I said that earlier. Takuya - the one that I work with and the few others I've encountered during my jumps - has always proven to be a remarkable young man. His loss is a heavy one. I can't imagine what you are going through, but I hope that you will let me and my team help. By sending aid to those still trapped in the Genesis world and fixing all the damage Kyushamon and his forces have wrought, we can save the lives of so many humans and Digimon alike. We can save the lives of so many other Takuyas living in other worlds and dimensions and prevent them from meeting the same fate."
Umi watched as many of the adults in the room nodded. Shinya and Yutaka looked determined as they looked at Takato.
"We would be most grateful for your help," the lady angel Digimon said (Ophanimon, Umi thinks she's called). "When can you start?"
"Just show me to your communications center and I can get started right away," Takato declared and followed the three ruling Digimon out of the room.
Tamers Digital World: Location: Level 10
Alice threw herself behind a large rock with Dobermon before another fireball impacted nearby. A wave of heat and shards of melted rock flew through the air and almost made it too painful to breathe. She coughed, before turning her watering eyes up at the sky to note where Zhuqiaomon was before darting for a new spot of cover. After entering the gate, she'd noticed an entrance to the volcano and determined that that was the best place to go. Other small groups of their party were already making their way inside at Masaru's ushering, though the man himself remained outside.
"Where's Kai and Minami?" Alice wheezed.
"There!" Dobermon barked, snout pointed towards a rock outcrop several meters to the right of their current position.
Alice could just make out Minami's alarmed scream as another fireball hit a little too close by.
"Kai! Minami!" Alice yelled, coughing into her hand afterwards.
A moment later, Kai was dragging Minami and Gatsumon behind him as they darted for better cover with Labramon and a small pack of Dobermon right behind them.
"Head for the volcano!" Alice cried, getting a thumbs up from Minami before their group darted behind another rock for cover.
"Alice, we have to move!" Dobermon barked before dragging her away to avoid another fireball.
The next several minutes were harrowing as Alice and her partner darted from cover to cover away from Zhuqiaomon's attacks. She'd lost track of Kai and Minami, but the occasional shout of alarm from Kai and frightened scream from Minami reassured her that they weren't dead yet. Just as Alice and Dobermon were making a break for the volcano entrance, Masaru rushed past them, his Agumon at his side. The moment she reached the entrance to the volcano lair, Alice spun around in time to see Masaru punch a low flying Zhuqiaomon in the beak, his fist lighting up with energy that made his Agumon glow.
"Alice!"
Alice startled, bumping into Dobermon as Kai, Minami, their partners and the pack of Dobermon reached the volcano entrance too.
"We have to head inside!" Kai shouted. "Masaru said that he'll distract Zhuqiaomon and try to figure out what's wrong with him."
Alice only nodded, glancing back over at the strange man from another world. He was now standing on the shoulder of what had to be one of Agumon's higher digivolutions staring down Zhuqiaomon.
"Come on," Minami gasped, pulling Alice behind her as they scrambled into the volcano home of Zhuqiaomon. It was surprisingly cooler inside the rock walls and now that they weren't directly under attack, their party was able to regroup. Thankfully after a head count was made they discovered that they hadn't lost anyone.
"So now what do we do?" Babamon sighed. "With Zhuqiaomon in this strange frenzy, we can't move on to the other Sovereign's domains or unlock all of the levels under his jurisdiction."
"So we find out what's causing him to be like this," Grapleomon said. "Perhaps his chambers will give us answers?"
"It's worth a shot," Kai said, before looking at Alice. "Right?"
"Agreed," Alice sighed. "Let's hope we can find some clue as to what's going on."
The party then spread out to see if they could locate Zhuqiaomon's main chambers in his volcano based home.
Alice headed off with Dobermon, Babamon, and some Labramon and Chuchidarumon in one area, meeting up with other small groups along the way. Zhuqiaomon's domain didn't appear to have much in it apart from numerous chambers with high ceilings.
"It's clear he doesn't entertain much," Babamon huffed after flying around.
Alice was about to send a Labramon off with word to Kai and Minami that her group hadn't found anything yet, when a Dobermon ran up to join them.
"We've found the main chamber," the dog Digimon panted. "You need to see this."
They all followed the Dobermon back to where Kai and Minami had apparently found Zhuqiaomon's chambers. Alice stopped short as they entered the space, staring wide eyed ahead of her.
"Is that…?" she gasped.
"It's Zhuqiaomon," Kai said grimly. "The real one, I'm betting."
Curled up on a perch was Zhuqiaomon, his head ducked down against his breast, eyes closed.
"So who's outside fighting Masaru, I wonder?" Alice mused, moving forward to join Kai and Minami in front of the dozing Sovereign.
"I fake, clearly," Kai grumbled. "What I want to know is how to wake the big guy up. Maybe if he's awake the fake Zhuqiaomon will disappear."
"I don't think it's that simple," Minami said softly, reaching out to touch Zhuqiaomon. She was stopped by a red barrier that flared to life and made her jerk her hand back in alarm.
"Minami!" Alice and Kai both cried.
"It's okay. I'm not hurt," Minami reassured them. "I think that's what's keeping Zhuqiaomon asleep."
"Okay, so how do we get rid of it?" Kai huffed.
"We could try that thing with the D-Powers like we did on the gate lock," Minami mused.
"It's certainly worth a try," Alice said.
The three pointed their D-Powers at the sleeping Zhuqiaomon, but nothing happened.
"Now what?" Kai sighed.
"Maybe this is like the level locks," Alice mused. "We need to find a key or locking mechanism that'll dispel whatever that weird energy field is that's keeping him asleep."
"Back to searching, I guess," Kai sighed.
"I hope Masaru is alright," Minami fretted.
"I'm sure he's fine," Alice tried to reassure her friend. "He took on that Musyamon like it was nothing. Agumon didn't even need to digivolve that time. I'm sure they'll be more than capable of taking care of that fake Zhuqiaomon than anything we could have done."
"Doesn't make me feel any less useless," Kai huffed.
"We can help by freeing the real Zhuqiaomon," Alice said with conviction. "Come on, guys. Let's focus."
"Right," everyone said before splitting up again to give the place another go over in hopes that they could find what they needed to free Zhuqiaomon.
Alice tried to be patient as she searched the place diligently, but she couldn't help but secretly agree with Kai. It was frustrating not being able to help Masaru handle the fake Zhuqiaomon outside. If they couldn't handle themselves in their own Digital World, what help were they going to be to Takato and the others in the Genesis Digital World.
"Hey! Alice," her Dobermon partner spoke up. "I smell something."
"What is it?" she asked.
"I'm not sure. But it's different from anything else around here," Dobermon said before following a scent to a section of blank wall. "Here."
"It's just a wall," Alice said, frowning after examining a stretch of it.
Dobermon let out a soft growl of frustration before sniffing around again, circling back to a certain spot over and over again.
"I'm certain something's here," he declared.
"Yeah, but what?" Alice said, frowning.
It was just a wall and without Dobermon's sense of smell, she couldn't really see what was special about this particular stretch. She tried knocking on it in different spots, but nothing came of it. With a sigh she put her back to the wall and leaned against it, only to jump in surprise when she felt her digivice vibrate in her pocket.
"My D-Power is reacting," she mumbled before pointing it at the wall.
There was a flash of light and suddenly there were red lines of code covering the stretch of wall they were standing in front of with what looked like a hologram of a lock floating before it.
"This is it!" Alice gasped, looking around before spotting a Labramon.
"Labramon! Go get Kai and Minami! Quickly!" she shouted.
The Labramon was quick to take off. A few minutes later Kai and Minami were standing with Alice, pointing their D-Powers at the hologram lock. Light shot out from the devices and hit the lock. After a moment the lock and lines of code turned green before flickering out of existence.
"The scent is gone," Dobermon informed her.
"Let's go see if that did it!" Kai cheered.
They returned to Zhuqiaomon's chamber, but found the Sovereign still asleep.
"There must be others," Alice reasoned. "They should be easier to find now that we know what we're looking for."
Everyone nodded before resuming the search with renewed energy now that they knew what they were looking for.
Adventure Digital World: Location: Lake Spire
Hiroaki took in a steadying breath as he got ready to depart, Gabumon at his side.
Takuya's scouts had returned and had given their group a lot of vital information. Saito, Hiroaki and Takuya had taken that information and had strategized over comms with Gennai on how best to proceed. They were still going to use Hiroaki's original proposed plan. Attacks had already been made on the Ocean Spire and were followed up with the start of the attack on Frigi Village's spire as soon as allies reported back that Ocean Spire had fallen. Haru, Yumi and the kids had already moved in to join the second attack, making it look like they were hitting the spires one by one rather than having individual groups already in pace to attack all locations.
Takuya had grinned, delighted, upon seeing a large number of Troopmon move out and deploy away from their position near the Lake Spire.
So the plan was working and already they had managed to lure away half of the Troopmon in the vicinity, but that still left way too many left in the area for Hiroaki's liking, especially if a bunch were just going to respawn from the other battle sites to their area within the spire.
"Now's as good as it's going to get," Takuya said from his place next to Hiroaki. "Best to infiltrate now."
"Right," Saito said grimly before looking over at Hiroaki. "Are you good to go?"
"As I'll ever be," Hiroaki sighed.
"Don't worry, we've got your back," Keisuke said. "If you need a distraction we can launch our attack out here early."
"And I'll be inside with you the entire time," Takuya said, flashing him a reassuring smile. "I won't let anything happen to you."
"Thanks," Hiroaki said before squaring his shoulders. "I guess I'm good to go whenever you are."
Takuya gave him a thumbs up before waving Löwemon and JägerLöwemon over.
"Let's get started then."
Takuya helped Hiroaki and Gabumon onto JägerLöwemon's back before piggybacking onto Löwemon's.
"Hold tight," JägerLöwemon growled before walking into a shadow.
Hiroaki couldn't see anything all of a sudden and felt as if he'd just been submerged in ice water, shivering as they waded through the darkness. Then, just as suddenly, they emerged into a dark corridor inside the spier.
"You good?" Takuya asked as he slipped off Löwemon's back.
"I'll be fine," Hiroaki said as he stumbled getting off of JägerLöwemon. Gabumon jumped down with less issue.
"Alright, then," Takuay grinned, tapping the earpiece he was wearing. "This is Kanbara. Can you read me?"
Hiroaki tapped on his own comm unit just in time to hear the response.
"Loud and clear," Keisuke's voice answered. "Proceed with caution."
"Copy," Takuya said. "We'll leave the line open, so please keep us apprised of any developments on your end."
"We will. Base Camp over and out."
"Let's do this," Takuya said with an enthusiasm that Hiroaki just couldn't muster.
"Just how many times have you done this sort of thing before?" Hiroaki asked.
"Far too many to count," Takuya sighed. "One tends to become desensitized to it all after a while when you've done it enough times. Though I'm really missing my usual partner in all of this."
"And who is that?" Hiroaki asked.
"No one that you would know," Takuya said as he began to creep through the hall. "I'll tell you about him some other time. Right now we need to move. Who knows how long we have before things go wrong."
"Don't you mean if things go wrong?" Gabumon asked.
"Oh, no," Takuya said with a grim smile. "Missions like these always have something go wrong no matter how prepared you are. You just gotta make sure that they go wrong in your favor."
"And how do you do that?" Hiroaki asked.
"With a lot of luck and the will to work past the initial "oh shit" moment," Takuya said. "We should limit speech until we find another safe spot. Stick to the hand signals I taught you."
"Right," Hiroaki muttered, feeling uneasily as he watched Takuya use said hand signals to direct JägerLöwemon and Löwemon to scout ahead.
At first, everything was alright. The hall they'd started in was unoccupied, but when they reached a junction where their hall ended in a T, joining with another hall, they almost immediately came across a pair of Troopmon as they turned the corner. Before Hiroaki could even think about how he was going to react to their presence, Takuya had already darted forward, a blade in hand. The younger man was quick to slash the antenna to the Troopmon's walkies and in a smooth follow up swept the feet out from under them. The moment the Troopmon hit the ground, Löwemon and JägerLöwemon suddenly melted out of the shadows and dragged the Troopmon out of sight.
Takuya signaled Hiroaki with his hands.
Are you alright?
Hiroaki let out a shaky breath but signed an affirmative.
Takuya gave him a thumbs up before signaling Hiroaki and Gabumon to follow him. Hiroaki stuck very close after that. They ended up coming across more Troopmon patrol pairs, but Takuya, Löwemon and JägerLöwemon handled them all with the same brutal efficiency as the first pair. Before Hiroaki knew it, Takuya had brought them to the control center of the spire, but made them all duck inside a server room just next door.
"Wait here," Takuya said so quietly Hiroaki could barely hear him. "My team and I'll take the room and come get you afterwards. This shouldn't take long."
Hiroaki nodded, agreeing.
He waited with Gabumon in the back of the server room, but they weren't left there for long. Takuya was a man of his word and returned after seven minutes.
"Area's currently clear and secure and I've given Saito the go ahead to start the attack on the spire. It should keep any more Troopmon in the area occupied," Takuya reported in a normal voice.
Hiroaki and Gabumon nodded and followed the younger man to the main control room. Apart from one or two deflated Troopmon bodies, there was no one other than the three of them.
"What happened to the Digimon running this room?" Hiroaki asked.
"Taken care of," was all Takuya said, as he started examining the control panels.
"Meaning you killed them," Gabumon said softly.
"...Yes," Takuya said, pausing in his actions before resuming them. "Most of them, anyway. In my line of work you can't afford to hesitate when the enemy won't. And they weren't. We were able to take a few Hagurumon captive and hold them in one of Löwemon's shadow pockets, but… the others wouldn't back down and I couldn't risk them sounding the alarm. We're fighting terrible odds as it is. You know this. I would have spared them if I could, but I wasn't willing to risk the lives of your friends and allies outside, let alone the lives of those teenagers fighting at the other spires."
"Found it," he suddenly said with a sharp grin. "I'm shutting down the fabrication factory. Löwemon. JägerLöwemon."
The two Digimon appeared out of the shadows once more.
"Wreck the place and wipe out any Troopmon active down there. This should help Saito's efforts outside," Takuya ordered.
"Yes, General," the two responded before disappearing again.
Takuya then removed his strange digivice from his hip.
"Release Agunimon, Lobomon, Kumamon, Arbormon, Mercurymon."
Five more Digimon appeared from the man's digivice.
"Sweep the halls. Clear this place out of any remaining enemy patrols and report back then the area is secure."
"Yes, General," the five replied before they exited the room.
General…
Hiroaki swallowed hard, looking at Takuya. This man wasn't the same as the boy he'd watched die in another world. This man was a soldier. The way he handled himself and the clear experience he had in matters like this proved it. Was the other Tai the same way?
"You're awfully quiet over there," Takuya said softly after a moment. "Hiroaki? Are you alright?"
"Fine," he said gruffly. "Just… Wondering what all you've been through to make you like this. Like a soldier."
Takuya's movements paused again.
"...A lot," the man admitted. "But this is something I signed up for. That all of my team signed up for. We were all consenting adults when we made the decision to join DATS and become Generals in Omegamon's war. Well… most of us. Tai and I were barely out of high school and Masaru had already spent years living in the Digital World when we joined… but Takato was technically still in school when we got started. Davis too when he signed up, but he wasn't nearly as involved as the rest of us. He joined up much later. Taiki and Tagiru have technically been fighting in wars since they first became DigiDestined in Elementary, but the first two Xros Wars weren't nearly as bad as the one we all signed up for. A war that spanned across an entire Dimensional Corridor in so many worlds, human and Digital alike… That's why we came here to your DC to help, to be honest. We wanted to prevent a war like the one we faced back home from happening here. So far things are still isolated to a small number of worlds. Hopefully we can keep it that way."
Hiroaki nodded, understanding. He hoped so too.
Will these visitors from another dimension be able to help fix communications between worlds? Will they be able to send help help these new DigiDestined prepare for the fight they're trying to join in the Genesis Digital World? Find out next time on Digimon:Digital Monsters!
Sorry, no Savers world this time. They're not really doing much besides waiting and training so I didn't think a section for them was warranted this time.
This chapter ended up having a lot more Takuya than I intended. I feel like he's the most fleshed out of the Dimension Hoppers thus far. Let me know what you guys think of these developments as we draw closer to narrowing the gap between where we're at here in PW and in UGD.
I hope you all had a fantastic Odaiba Day!
