This story will be a mix of Naruto and Luffy being the main characters. So do not worry when I focus on one more than the other. As I am going to be switching as they both hold importance to the story.

I know its been a year. But life happens and writers block. So, it a struggle at times.

Kushina is a bitch in this story. Only worrying about her two bastard children and never the light of the Shinobi Nations. So yes. Screw her.

Chapter 12

Final day of staying on Drum. Luffy looks towards Chopper as Naruto stand on top of the Going Merry. "I thank each and everyone of you for allowing us to dock on your island for medical help." He tells them with his massive D grin.

Dalton moves past the other villagers. "No, we should be the ones thank you and your crew for saving us from our former King." He told the young Captain standing before him.

Luffy grins once more. "We are just happy to help you." He told the man standing before him.

Luffy looks towards his mom. "Hey mom." He calls out to his mom as she is talking to Ino, Shika, and Choji as they are making some type of plan.

Her honey brown eyes gazes over towards her son. "Yes, baby?" She questions watching a dark blush overtake his cheeks. A smirk growing on her face.

"MOMMMMM!" Luffy whines as he pulls his strawhat down over his head as he does a weird little stomp in place with his whine. Which has Ace and Sabo mocking and teasing him.

"Oh, my little baby. Your soo adorable." Ace teases with a wicked smirk upon his face.

"It's okay baby we'll take good care of you." Sabo mocks as he stands next to Ace smirking at his little brother's antic.

"That is enough you two." Tsunade growls out at her eldest sons. As she moves towards her baby boy. "What is it Lu?" She questions him as she pulls him into her arms. Encircling her arms around him embracing him in a hug. A hug she had missed giving him since he was a little boy.

I was going to ask if you are going to travel on my ship or Sabo's until we get to Alabaster?" He questions her as his own honey brown eyes looking up at her.

"Oh, I'll be traveling with you until then. As I want to watch over Ino closely." Tsunade told him with a smile upon her face as Luffy grins up at her.

Naruto looks down at the little reindeer standing next to him. "You know." Naruto began looking at Chopper.

"What is that Naruto?" Chopper questions looking back up at the blonde standing next to him.

"You remind me of my summons." Naruto tells him with a cheesy grin upon his face.

"What are summons?" Chopper questions looking up at the blonde-hair boy standing before him with confusion in his rare midnight blue eyes that slightly matched his blueberry blue nose.

Kurama chuckles. "Summon one of the fox kits." He tells his kit and host.

Naruto grins as he moves up his right thumb up to his mouth as he takes a bite out of it and moves it back down as he runs his right thumb across his left palm as he goes through several hand signs. "Summoning Jutsu!" He calls out as a plum of smoke appears before him and Chopper on the railing of the ship.

"Hello Naruto-kun. Is there something you need?" Questions a soft pink fox kit with hot pink eyes and matching nose.

Chopper's jaw drops open with shock at seeing the kit seated before him upon the railing. "She…she…she can talk like me?!" He almost shouts out but kept his voice calm as he knows loud noises scare off foxes.

Arching a brow, the little pink kit looks towards the talking reindeer. Tilting her head towards the right looking at the little reindeer with questions. "Are you not a summons yourself?" She questions with wonder lacing her little voice.

"Blossom. Chopper here isn't a summons. He is a talking reindeer, who had eaten a devil fruit known as the human, human fruit." Naruto explains to the young kit seated before him.

"Oh." Is all Blossom could say as she leans forward and sniffs. As she moves back she blinks looking up at Naruto. "He does smell like one of the deer summons young." She tells him.

Now this has Naruto and Chopper frowning at her words.

"My parents are just normal reindeers." Chopper told her with another frown on her face.

Blossom puffs out her tiny cheeks. "Well, they could be of a lesser branch that isn't able to use their abilities." She told him huffing.

"That could be." Naruto said nodding his head. As he tries to lessen Blossom's annoyances.

"So…is there anything else?" Blossom questions as she is ready to return to her momma.

"No, I just wanted to show Chopper what a summons was." Naruto tells Blossom who just nods her head raising her little paw waving at them as she goes up in another plume of smoke.

Ino climbs on board the ship glaring at her boyfriend. As he was too busy speaking with the little fox and Reindeer. "Naruto." She calls in a calm silky voice towards her moron.

Naruto's body goes ramrod straight as he slowly turns his head towards his beautiful, lovely girlfriend. "Ino my hime." He speaks up with a slight tremble in his voice as the pale blonde comes walking up the stairs towards him.

"Naruto." Ino said once more as now she stood before him.

"Yes, Ino my love?" Naruto questions giving her one of his charming smiles. One that had made her fall in love within so long ago.

Letting out a sigh she shakes her head at his antics. Knowing very well he doesn't know what true love of family is to him. "Why hadn't you waited for me to come on board?" She questions him.

Reaching for her hand Naruto pulls her into his arms. Wrapping his arms around her. "I didn't want to interrupt you while you spoke with baa-chan and your teammates." He told her as he rests his chin on the top of her head. As he towers over her.

"I know." Ino letting out a sigh. As she knew he would always stand off in the shadows to allow her to shine in the sun. Never drawing her into the shadows. "Naruto this is our new life. I want you to stand out in the sunshine with me. We are equals and we no longer must wait. As we are always from your family, away from the damn village that only has hurt you.

Naruto let's out a sigh. "I know. But old habits are hard to break." He tells her pulling back from her and looks down at her with an honest smile upon his face. One rarely seen. "But I shall try." He tells her.

"That's all I can ask for." Ino tells him with a smile.

"Troublesome." Shika says as she walks up behind the two. As Choji followed them as he snacks upon his chips. His never-ending supply of chips.

Ino pouts at her best friends. "I know. I know." She said with a grin on her face.

"Just hurry up and get married." Shika tells her with a slight smirk on her face.

Now this has the two teens sputtering and blushing bright red.

"Hey." Luffy calls out as he saves the day for the young couple. As this has everyone looking at Luffy. "It's time to sail. As we have a civil war to stop." He said with a massive grin on his face as they are now making their path in his insane pirate world.

"YAY!" Everyone yells. Well, all the pirates as the shinobi look on with amusement. As they are now entering the life of a pirate.

Next time we arrive on Vivi's home island.
