The SOUL is now viewing: The DTR Characters.

Noelle and Kris had already left. Normally this wouldn't mean much but deep down, Susie had a feeling deep down in her stomach, one yelling at her that today would be…. Good? She wanted to ignore this as all gut feelings are ones you don't trust.

Susie had gotten this feeling multiple times regarding her family, which never went well. She'd gotten this feeling when confessing to Noelle which….wait no, that was a good one! What else? Oh right, she got that feeling when she decided to leave the party so long ago, that led to her actually trusting someone, getting hurt and- Wait, that one also had a good ending.

Damn it, why couldn't bad feelings stay bad? Why were feelings so fucking complicated?!

"Stupid emotions, stupid stupid thoughts that pop outta fuckin' nowhere!" Susie rambled to the air of the kitchen, to the fridge, to the benches, to the chairs which one of them just so happened to have her semi-behated fourth party member sitting inside of it. Right, she honestly forgot that Berdly was there with her, it was still weird to be in the same house together for so long without some kind of yelling from the two of them.

"Unfortunately, I cannot help but share that sentiment." He sighed. "I'm in a similar dilemma but you can talk first."

Wait, no, stop! This is getting interesting!

"Actually, unless it's something stupid." Susie did something she didn't expect she'd do, she pulled one of the other chairs up and sat right next to where Berdly was. "You actually have emotions? Talk."

"Yes, Susa- Susie, Yes I do." He clarified, surprisingly not turning this into an argument. "I had an epiphany last night. Kris has cursed me!"

This was odd, Kris was a human and could not do magic. Both of them knew this… unless that was not what he meant? Heh..

"What, are you in love with 'em or something?" Susie joked, she was mostly joking but the idea was… funny as fuck!

"You are not the person I should be talking to about this." Berdly replied, he didn't say it in a manner that mirrored his normal way of speaking, it rather mirrored that one time in Cyber World when he admitted to basically being an idiot.

"Dude, who cares about some past thing you had, I wanna hear about you and Kris." And Susie meant that, damn it. She wanted to know the romantic drama going on between her friends!

"Alright, perhaps I do, I am clueless!" This was even better.

Even if the possibly just seemed like a humorous thing, the more Susie thought about it, the more it makes sense.

"Right so are you two uh, a thing?" She asked, receiving a head shake in response.

"Unfortunately, I am yet to give them access to my route in this game of life."

"Was that about how we're in a game right now?"

"Uh, perhaps."

"Fuckin' ner-"

Susie was cut off by a sound of glitching and before the two knew it, a battle was initiated.

Two random blocks of code interrupt your very interesting conversation about feelings!

As stated, there were two blocks of code right there, glitching out a bit.

"Goddamn it! I was invested in that!"

Susie S-Action Code Block One

"I don't see why someone's romantic life is something to get invested in but to each their own."

Berdly B-Action Code Block Two

"Uh, why am I acting?" Susie lowered her eyebrows before pulling her axe out and just attacking despite the fact that she did S-Action and not FIGHT!

"Well-" And before Berdly could even address the second block of code, it groaned and left. "W-Wait one and a half nanoseconds! I need to defeat you!"

Susie burst into laughter because honestly why wouldn't she?

Susie FIGHT

And before the remaining code could even fight back, Susie swung again and it fled. The battle ended.

"Dude, I think I broke the damn battle system. We normally have to wait for the enemy to attack"

"Surprising but quite convenient."

"Agreed, really showed 'em! But that ain't the point." Susie crossed her arms as the team's weapons disappeared. "The point is…"

She leaned next to the fridge and held a fixated and serious face, absolutely ready to get answers on what was happening, even if Berdly refused to give any. "Tell me right now, what do you feel about Kris?"

That was a rabbit hole that probably shouldn't have been opened.

"Hm, well they're great competition, I'm able to win at things without it being exhaustingly easy, they're antics are extremely entertaining and we're similar in ways that I did not realise until fairly recently. We understand each other, they don't walk away the moment I start talking and I suppose that they are pleasing to look at, at times." Berdly gushed unexpectedly and Susie kept note, that was a lot of praise to come out of him of all people. He was clearly getting more excited the more he talked about them.

It was all clear.

"Dude, you're worse about Kris than I was with Noelle you fuckin' simp. Truth hurts."

"You want me to go to that club tomorrow? It's full of nerds and psychopaths!" Susie dramatically flailed her arms in the air just to prove a point.

Currently, the two were still alone, so they were sitting on the couch in the living room, synopsis and a blank piece of paper with an attempt of a plan both on the coffee table. Some ideas were getting thrown out but of course, Susie was not agreeing with a majority of Berdly's choices.

"Do not worry, I will also be suffering with you in the second act if we get to that point." Berdly attempted to reason. "I think that for now the club should stay without men to not 'ruin the atmosphere' as Natsuki would put it."

Then his smile widened slightly. "And of course, you clearly miss Noelle and would die being without her for another day."

"And are you only joining in Act 2 so you can live out a fantasy of protecting your crush from an evil yandere, only to confess right after?" Susie spat back, erupting into a deep fit of laughter as Berdly almost stumbled backwards.

"It's an idea, yes. But I am not that low and Kris can protect themself." He pondered before getting back into his original position. "And also, it's a good idea to have someone who played the game outside of the literature club at this point but as much knowledge as possible during the second act. It's also a good idea for someone, especially Noelle, to watch over Sayori."

"Alright, I get it." Susie jotted down everything that was said, while it was being said, somehow. "So I'll tell Kris so you don't die and you'll tell Noelle?"

An embarrassed nod was the only response given and needed.
