Chapter 115: Gungan Attack
Only through fire is a strong sword forged.
Recap: A government toppled by civil war! Refusing to accept Prince Lee-Char as the next ruler of Mon Cala, the Quarren people join the Separatist Alliance and launch an all-out attack on the Mon Calamari. Caught unprepared, the young prince and his Jedi protectors are quickly overwhelmed and forced to retreat into caves far below the capital city, leaving Count Dooku and his allies to plan their next move.
In the palace's throne room, a meeting was occurring involving Count Dooku, Quarran Ri, and Tamson as they informed the Sith Lord about their latest victory and siege of the city.
"And the young prince, has he been captured?" asked Dooku.
"No, my lord. Unfortunately, he escaped capture and is hiding with what's left of the Jedi and their army."
"Do not underestimate this boy, Tamson. He must not become a symbol for the Mon Calamari people to rally behind," warned Dooku, as with the prince out there, it gave cause for worry.
"This child is but a coward. He is no leader," scoffed Tamson as he felt he had nothing to worry about the prince.
"That is irrelevant. The whispering of his name can rekindle hope, and hope is something we cannot allow our enemy to possess," stated Dooku, stressing that the prince be found and dealt with.
"Excuse me, Count Dooku, but what of the prisoners?" asked the Quarran leader, Ri.
"They are to be processed. Internment camps have been set up below the city. Gather the rabble there. Then set them to work." said Dooku with a cold, vindictive tone.
"Surely you do not mean all of them, the women and children-" spoke Ri before he was cut off.
"... are to be sent as well," said Dooku as he wasn't willing to show mercy, "Is that understood?"
"Yes, my lord," said the Quarran as he obeyed.
"Tamson, I'm sending you reinforcements. Hold them in reserve and wait for the Republic's next move," stated the Sith Lord.
"As you wish, Count Dooku," replied the Karkardoon as the transmission ended.
Our heroes, after escaping from the assault, managed to seek refuge inside the caves under the city. They took a moment to catch their breath before continuing to move. The group was now holed up in a cave as clone troopers and Calamari troops were stationed, keeping an eye out. As the girls had returned from their patrol to see that they saw no signs of danger; swimming past them were Ahsoka and Twilight. As they entered, a meeting was held as their allies tried contacting them for help.
"We lost contact with all clone troopers and Mon Cala soldiers. The Quarren ambushed us. They were ready to attack long before the peace talks came to an end." said Master Fisto.
"Desperate, the situation is," responded Master Yoda before the transmission began to flicker and break up.
"Reinforce your position with clones. We can-" spoke Master Windu as the transmission started to go haywire.
"Master, please repeat," said Master Fisto, "Are you sending reinforcements?"
"You're breaking up," said Luna, as that was the last thing they heard before the image of the three disappeared.
"Are they coming?" asked Prince Lee-Char.
"I don't know," answered Master Fisto.
"But they know our situation. They must know to send help," said Captain Ackbar.
"Yeah, but it may take them a while to get here," stated Storm.
"We're gonna have to get ourselves to the surface and get off this rock," suggested Anakin.
"I will not leave my people to die," said the young prince to the Jedi.
"With all due respect, Your Highness, if we stay, we all die," stressed Storm as they needed to escape.
"We must reach the surface and see if our ship is still there," said Padmè.
"The prince will decide our course of action," said Captain Ackbar.
Prince Lee-Char took a moment to lull over what was said before he spoke.
"I think it is best for us to try and escape using your ship."
"As you wish, Your Highness. Follow me," said Anakin as everyone began to follow the Jedi Knight.
Back at the Jedi Temple, another meeting was happening. After losing contact with the group, the three Jedi Masters talked with some of their other members. Apart from the three Jedi Masters who contacted the group, only Master Gallia was in the present form, as the others appeared via hologram.
"It will take days to outfit another clone regiment for underwater combat," said Master Windu to the group.
"Days our friends do not have," said Obi-wan as he stroked his beard.
"If we are to save them, we must act now. Time is of the essence, and we cannot afford to waste anymore," stated Celestia.
"Perhaps we should look to armies other than clones to help our cause," stated Master Yoda as he walked forward.
"What do you suggest?" asked Luna.
"A suitable ally we must find to help with this mission," suggested Yoda as he pulled up the galactic map and began to zoom in on a planet.
"Yes, an underwater race with a standing army close enough to send help quickly," said Master Tiin.
Soon the map found its target as it stopped on a planet.
"Naboo?" said Obi-wan.
"Yes, to the Gungans, we must look," said Yoda.
"We shall contact them immediately," said Master Windu as Yoda held a look.
Back on the planet, the aqua droids were following Dooku's orders as they were with the Quarren, searching for the Jedi and the prince. Master Fisto was shown peeking out of a hole as he turned to swim down. Awaiting were the others as they saw the Jedi Master return.
"There's a lot of enemy troops between us and the surface," said Padmè.
"It's no problem. I just hope you're a fast swimmer," smirked Anakin to his wife.
"Says the boy from the desert planet," said Padmè to her husband with a smirk.
"Are you certain your ship is still there?" asked Senator Tills.
"There's only one way to find out," replied Storm.
"I'll create a diversion so you can get past those patrols," stated Master Fisto to the Jedi Knights.
"All right, try to get a mini-sub or two. It'll help us speed to the surface," said Anakin.
"No problem," smiled Master Fisto before he propelled upward rapidly.
The Jedi Master managed to evade detection as he held onto a coral just as a patrol group passed by. Once they left, he swam upward and up the side of the coral where a patrol was escorting some clone scuba troopers. They had their hands tied when one of them looked to the side and saw the Jedi Master as he gave a hand signal. The Jedi Master then appeared behind the Quarren, driving the mini-sub as he pulled him back. He then punched the one on the right before spinning the mini-sub. He used the Force to throw the mini-sub down as he tangled with the remaining guard.
The mini-sub was falling as it was heading toward the group.
"Ahsoka, you are first. Take the Prince and Senator Tills," instructed Anakin to his Padawan as she got ahold of the controls while the other two held onto the thrusters.
"Got it," replied the girl as she zoomed upward.
Master Fisto had his lightsaber out as he used it to cut the binds of the scuba clones. He handed them the weapons of the Quarren as they began to fire at the incoming reinforcements. Behind them, another mini-sub squad was coming at them; Master Fisto merely smiled with his lightsaber. A second later, another mini-sub was tumbling downward to signal what had happened.
This time, Anakin grabbed it as Padmèand Captain Ackbah got on the side, and they shot upward. The activity didn't go unnoticed, as their foes soon figured out what was happening.
"Sir, the Jedi have reappeared with the prince," said a Quarren, contacting Ri and Tamson in the throne room. "They are headed to the surface."
The image of the palace was shown as a red dot headed upward.
"Predictable. Let them get within sight of their ship. I want them to watch their hope sink to the bottom of the sea." stated Tamson as he sat back on his throne and put his fingers together.
"Our turn, Sparky!" said Storm as he grabbed a mini-sub.
"Ready," said the girl as she had her arms around the boy's neck and smiled as Storm had them swim upward.
The pair soon caught up with their pals as they closed in on the surface.
"There's the ship. Still in one piece," stated Padmè. They were about to reach their destination as the prince had a smile on his face of hope.
"Spring the trap," said Tamson.
As expected, the ambassador had a trick up his sleeve. The ship the Jedi and their allies were looking to use to escape blew up. A huge explosion occurred above the water as the debris from the ship now began to sink. It fell directly on our heroes as they took evasive actions and let go of the mini-subs to avoid being crushed.
And if that wasn't bad enough, aqua droids were swimming and firing at the Jedi as they turned their lightsabers on to deflect.
"Well, prince, how do you feel about fighting again?" asked Anakin as he deflected some shots.
"Master Jedi, we're too vulnerable here. We must reach the seafloor," said the prince, as they needed some cover.
"Good idea. Grab onto the debris. Let it carry you to the bottom." stated Storm for all to hear.
Anakin immediately grabbed onto some debris as the others began to do the same.
"I think I'm getting seasick," said Padmè as she held on with Senator Tills to their debris.
Master Fisto was still causing a distraction as he took out some droids. He then heard the rumbling as he looked up and saw the debris. Aqua droids were shooting at the debris to hit the Jedi hiding in it. Master Fisto used his hand to throw the debris at the droids as he swam to where our heroes were diving.
"Back so soon?" asked Master Fisto with a smirk.
"Yeah, the ship had some problems," said Anakin with a weak smile.
"I can see that... All around me," replied the Jedi Master as he hopped on and rode the debris down.
"This is our only chance. We need to split up and hide the prince's whereabouts," stated Captain Ackbar.
"I'm not sure that's the best strategy," replied Storm.
"I'm sure. Captain Ackbar's words are my own. It will give us the best chances of surviving if we split up." replied the prince, as he trusted that the captain knew what he was doing.
"As you wish. Ahsoka, Twilight, you two, and the prince go with Kit and take the clones. Storm and I will take the senators and captain Ackbar. Lay low." said Anakin as he gave the girls their orders.
"Our only hope is that Master Yoda can send help in time," replied Storm as he swam away with his buddy.
"No, prince Lee-Char is our only hope," said Captain Ackbar to just the prince as he swam to join the Jedi Knights.
The Jedi and everybody soon let go once they reached the bottom of their ride. They quickly hid as some aqua droids were searching nearby. They were scanning everything as their sensors were going off. They came upon the wreck side but found no sign of their targets.
On the planet Naboo, in the underwater city of the Gungan, Master Yoda was speaking with the Gungan High Council.
"Master Yoda, sir, to what's we owin' the pleasure of your transmission?" asked the Gungan in charge of the council to the Jedi Master.
"Your help, the Republic needs," said Master Yoda.
"Something's a-tellin' mesa big help you need, no?" stated the Gungan.
"Senator Amidala, your longtime ally, trapped on an occupied planet, she is," responded the small Jedi Master.
"Hmm... Wesa need some thinking time to respond to deesa news," said the Gungan.
"Thinking? Nosa thinking! Mesa thinking Padmè would help us-has helped us, big-time! Wesa gots to help her now!" said Jar Jar, who was sitting in on the council and thought it was absurd that they needed to think of a problem to which they had already had an answer.
"Yousa right. Thinking time's-a done! Wesa need to be leaving now." said the Gungan council member as Master Yoda had a smile on his face.
Back with our heroes, the girls, Master Fisto and the prince, were shown hiding behind a rock. Some Quarren and aqua droids passed, and they passed by, not seeing the group. Once the coast was clear, the Jedi Master gave the signal, and they began to swim down as they came to a cave. They entered before coming to a stop.
"I don't think we've been followed. Commander Monnk, post a lookout," said the Jedi Master to the clone commander and the other clone. They nodded and turned to swim out to do some recon.
"We have no army, and we don't know if reinforcements are coming. What are our options?" asked the prince to the Jedi.
"We sit tight," said Ahsoka.
"There's not much we can do," said Twilight.
As the Jedi sat tight with the prince, the two clones that Master Fisto sent to check the area peaked through the seaweed. They saw something as they called out to the Jedi Master.
"Sir, you'd better come see this," stated Commander Moonk as Master Fisto swam to where they were.
The girls and prince also swam with the Jedi Master to see for themselves. All four swam to the clones as the sight that lay before them made them gasp, especially the young prince. Aqua droids stood guard as a small mini-sub passed between them with a Quarren patrol. Behind them was Quarren as they swam by with a massive group of Calamari people. Their expression was sadness and misery as they were being herded to the nearby camp.
"So many prisoners. Where are they taking them?" asked Prince Lee-Char.
"To become slaves," answered Master Fisto as they kept out of sight and watched the massive group swim by.
"I can't believe Nossor Ri and the Quarren agreed to this," said the prince, as he couldn't believe a friend of his father could do something this cruel and miserable.
"Count Dooku rules here, for now, not the Quarren," clarified Ahsoka as the Sith Lord orchestrated this assault.
"What you see, Prince, is the future of all the people on this world, Mon Cala and Quarren... all slaves for Count Dooku," said Master Fisto to the young prince as they watched the group in the distance, being led away as it made the young heir even more disgusted.
With one group keeping watch over the prince and staying hidden out of sight, their friends were near the Mon Calamari central planetary scanner facility. A patrol squad passed them by before they swam in another direction.
"Captain Ackbar, which of these structures houses the city's interplanetary scanners?" asked Anakin to the Calamari as they swam.
"It's over there, across the square," stated the captain as he pointed in the direction of the building. "Why?"
"Well, just in case Master Yoda is sending reinforcements, I thought it'd be helpful if the enemy couldn't tell they were coming," explained Anakin.
"If we knock out those sensors, they won't see our reinforcements until they're right on top of the city," said the captain as they all stopped to scan the area for guards.
"Assuming someone is coming," stated Senator Tills as she still didn't believe they weren't going to get help or reinforcements.
"I am sure Master Yoda will find a way to send help," said Padmè, trying to remain optimistic before addressing her husband. "Anakin, it's your move."
"Follow me.," said the Jedi Knight as he began to lead the four others toward the building.
With their friends, they were still hidden among the seaweed; inside the cave, the girls and prince were sitting tight as they had nothing to do but wait. However, the prince was getting impatient.
"There must be something more I can do," said Prince Lee-Char to both girls as he crossed his arms.
"I know it's hard, but you have to be patient," stated Ahsoka as the girls could sense how impulsive the royal heir was getting.
"But you saw my people. I've failed them," said Prince Lee-Char, doubting himself more and more on whether he was being the leader his people needed.
"No. Remember Captain Ackbar's words: You are the hope of your people. As long as you live, they will endure." said Twilight, trying to give the prince some confidence.
"I need an army. We have to fight back," said the prince.
"You don't have to carry a sword to be powerful. Some leaders' strength is inspiring greatness in others," stated Twilight as she spoke from her own personal experience about what it meant to be a role model and a leader that people could look up to.
"But my people don't even know I'm alive. How can I inspire them if they think I'm dead?" the prince asked both girls.
With their friends, they had made it to the building as they were below the support beams. They made it undetected as it now fell on Anakin and Storm to initiate the next part of the plan.
"Okay, just cover us. We're gonna have to concentrate," said Anakin.
"Huh?" said Storm as he didn't know what his buddy was insinuating.
"Concentrate? Concentrate on what?" asked Padmè, as she, too, was confused about what her husband was planning.
"Bringing that building down," answered Anakin.
"Oh, you two are crazy!" said Padmè as she didn't believe the pair could do that.
"Wanna bet?" said Storm to Padmè with a smile as he took the senator's response as a challenge.
Both Jedi Knights closed their eyes and put their hands out. They began concentrating as the other three looked at the metal structure supporting the building. Nothing happened for a while, but then the metal creaking was heard. The Jedi were using their telekinesis powers as they were looking to bring the entire structure down. However, their plan was noticed as aqua droids were swimming toward them. They saw the group and immediately opened fire as Captain Ackbar, and Senator Tills pointed their weapons at the droids to return fire.
"Anakin, Storm, hurry!" said Padmè to her friends as they had some unwanted company.
The metal burst from the Jedi's power as they broke apart. Soon they moved their hands along the panels as they broke in succession upon the Jedi's command. The structure and metal holdings of the building snapped from the absolute pressure building up on it as the bolts and nuts that held it together popped out. Explosions began as the building started to go offline as it sank. Pieces and debris were falling as they destroyed some areas around them and the droids. The group also turned and started to swim quickly to avoid falling debris.
In the command center, Tamson and Ri heard some alarms while looking at the map.
"What's happening? Report!" asked Tamson to a droid.
"We've lost all radar and sonar scanning, sir," said the droid.
"Reestablish the connections," ordered Tamson.
"We cannot, sir."
"Why not?" growled the ambassador.
"The building that housed the radar is gone," said the droid as he showed the pair the image of the building that Anakin and Storm had just destroyed.
Tamson was angry as he swam through the hologram and bumped into the droid, sending him crashing into the wall.
"We're blind. Prepare for an attack!" said Tamson to the Quarren troops and droids.
"But there was nothing on the scope prior to the attack," said Nossor Ri.
"That is precisely why we must assume an attack is imminent! Guards, to me!" shouted the ambassador as he started to head out.
"Where are you going?" asked his Quarren ally.
"To find that meddling prince and his Jedi friends," stated Tamson, now deciding to take matters into his hands.
The group was now caught in a crossfire as they defended themselves from the droids firing at them. As Captain Ackbar and the senators fired, Anakin and Storm deflected the shots with their lightsabers. Padmè was focused on the foes in front of her that she didn't see a droid taking aim at her. Anakin sensed the danger his wife was in as he swam forward and stabbed his lightsaber through the droid before bringing it up; he did a backflip while underwater as the robot was sliced into two.
Storm managed to take out two droids attempting to fire at the Calamari as he swam by, and they split in two in the blink of an eye. While the group was holding their ground, the jellyfish they had encountered before started to surround them as their electric tentacles swung.
"At least we're taking attention away from the prince," said Padmè.
The other group was still hiding as the group of captured Calamari was about to pass. Prince Lee-Char was standing on top of a cave with a conch shell in his hand. He then brought it up to his mouth as he blew into it. It produced a deep, bellowing sound that the nearby slaves and Quarren guards heard. It also didn't go unnoticed by the Jedi.
"Oh no, the prince. Hurry!" said Ahsoka to the clones as they all swam to where he was to avoid them being spotted and captured.
The Calamari that were being transported heard the call and began to look. One of them looked in a direction as he saw Prince Lee-Char standing on top of the cave.
"The prince is alive!" said one of them as he got the attention of the others.
"Look there!" shouted another Calamari as he pointed to where the royal heir was.
"People of Mon Cala, all people of Mon Cala who would not be slaves, have hope!" shouted Prince Lee-Char.
"We will fight for you, prince!" shouted a Calamari as he was behind held back by the Quarren guards as they were now given faith that things would be okay.
"You will not be prisoners much longer," stated the prince.
"Okay, I think the show is over. The guards will be coming. We have to go." said Ahsoka to the prince.
True to her word, the guards saw them and began to fire at the Jedi and prince. The Jedi and two clone troopers began to defend the prince. At the same time, a Republic cruiser was shown exiting from hyperspace. They saw the planet in front of them as they began to descend. They were now above the water as the hatched opened up.
"Wesa ready," said Jar Jar as he looked to the massive Gungans behind him and gave a hand signal.
The Gungans then let out a rallied cry and began to run forward. They jumped down the hatch and landed in the water below as they dove. The Jedi and clones were protecting the prince from the shots fired by the droids when they heard some noises. They soon saw the Gungans heading toward the droids and Quarren guarding the enslaved Calamari.
"Gungans. The tide has turned in our favor," said Master Fisto as he turned to look at Prince Lee-Char with a smile.
"Let's free my people. Attack!" shouted the prince as the Jedi followed his command.
The Gungans didn't just land near the girls; they also landed with the other group as they were just about to be surrounded. The Gungans were taking care of the jellyfish as they stabbed them with their weapons which sent an electric pulse to harm them. The Gungans also took out the droids as they provided cover fire for the group.
"Ani. Mesa, so happy to see you.," said Jar Jar as he appeared by the Jedi's side.
"Perfect timing, Jar-Jar," responded the Jedi Knight.
"Whassa? Mesa can't hear so good since we submergify!" said the Gungan as Storm and Padmè shook their heads.
With the girls and Master Fisto, they were now freeing the fugitives. A mini-sub aimed at the prince as the Jedi Master appeared before him and deflected the shots before slicing the sub in half. The prince grabbed one of the weapons floating about as he aimed at the droid coming at him. Seeing he could take care of himself, Master Fisto swam away to provide support for other areas. The prince took out a droid and began to bang on it with the brunt of the weapon.
He was unaware of two droids aiming from behind him as from down below, Twilight and Ahsoka swam upward and spun with their lightsabers as they sliced through the droids with ease and protected the prince. They then swam near the prince back to back in a triangle formation, covering each other.
"Tamson... Tamson, come in. Where are you?" shouted Nossan Ri to his commlink as the ambassador's image appeared. "The Republic reinforcements are overwhelming our defenses. We must retreat. We must retreat now!"
"I warned you this attack was coming. Where are the Jedi concentrating their attack?" asked Tamson.
"There are two groups of Jedi, one in the lower city center and two releasing the prisoners near the coral base," answered a droid.
"The prisoners? The Prince must be with them. I'm committing the reinforcements that Count Dooku sent to the attack. He will not escape this time." said Tamson.
The ambassador was in a squid droid as the transmission ended.
"Churn them up!" said Tamson to the crew.
The crew was now pushing some buttons on the panels. The squid droids were now positioned above the two battle sites as they began to descend down with their arms spread out. They soon began to spin as they created artificial whirlpools to disorient the Jedi and the Gungan forces. All the troops caught in the center began to spin as they were caught in the whirlpool. As he started to spin, the prince was bumped by something behind him. Thankfully, Ahsoka managed to grab hold of him using the Force and flung him over to Twilight, who kept the prince within the center.
"Stay in the center. There's less turbulence," said the Padawan.
The prince obeyed the command from Ahsoka as he stayed in the center, where there was less turbulence to knock him into the whirlpool. As he looked up, the hatch of the squid droid opened up, and out came Tamson, who was setting his sights on the prince with his jaws ready to crunch. He managed to get ahold of the prince as they dove deeper. Ahsoka and TWilight were dealing with the droids in the whirlpool as they spun using the momentum and took them out. They saw the prince in danger as Ahsoka thrust her hand out to push the ambassador back. They then appeared before the prince as Tamson pushed something on his side.
A signal was sent out as the aqua droids responded to it. The droids appeared as the girls turned on their lightsabers to block their shots. Tamson then disappeared into the whirlpool as he managed to appear behind the prince and tackle him away from the distracted girls. He was about to sink his jaws into the prince's neck when something flew past him and punched him in the face. Master Fisto arrived in time to the prince's aid as he turned on his lightsaber.
He engaged Tamson, who grabbed the Jedi's hands when he went for a swipe. He managed to make Fisto drop his weapon as both were pushed back. The other group had been holding their own when a squid droid arrived on top of them and began to initiate the same tactic that the others did. The whirlpool then began to suck in some Gungans as they let out some cries.
"Anakin!" shouted Padme.
The Jedi turned to see his wife being sucked into the whirlpool as he was about to go after her.
"Skywalker! We've got one chance!" Captain Ackbar instructed the Jedi to initiate their plan.
"I got her, Anakin!" said Storm to his buddy as he went after Padme while his friend and captain held onto each other and swam upward to the droid.
Master Fisto was dealing with Tamson as he was fighting hand-to-hand combat. The girls were taking out the droids, still trying to kill the prince as he stood in the center. Tamson saw an opening as he charged ahead at the prince, ready to end his life before Fisto managed to get a hold of him and fling him away for a moment. Tamson's jaw was dislocated when he grappled with Fisto that he snapped it back into place like it was nothing and swam forward to the Jedi Master.
"Ashoka, Twilight, stay with the prince. I'll hold him off," instructed the Jedi Master to the girls.
The girls fired their cables to bedrock as the prince grabbed onto the Padawan. They looked at Master Fisto one last time as droids surrounded him without his lightsaber. They then zipped away. With Anakin and Captain Ackbar, they were close to the droid's drill itself.
"Sever one of the legs!" shouted the captain to the Jedi.
Anakin grabbed one of the spinning legs as he spun round and round. The Jedi struggled to hold on, but he soon managed to get his lightsaber and slice off one of its legs. The droid lost its balance and collided with the building as explosions went off. The Jedi managed to get out of the way as he was looking for his wife or friend. He found them safely as they were surrounded and held at gunpoint by the droids. While Storm held a defiant stance, Padme placed her hand on his shoulder as she knew it was best to surrender.
Storm reluctantly sighed as he turned off his lightsaber and raised his hands. Anakin did the same as droids surrounded him and had their guns pointed. Jar Jar and Senator Tills were floating past him as they held onto each other and looked at each other. Soon the droids appeared and aimed their guns at them as they pulled the other in close and shivered in fear.
Once the group was captured, they rounded up any stragglers. Tamson was swimming through the water as he had a handcuffed unconscious Master Fisto in his hands. He tossed the Jedi Master through the water to a droid so that he could take him to where the others were being held.
"Find the prince! Find him!" shouted Tamson to his forces.
The girls and prince watched from the nearby seaweed as they saw their allies and friends captured. Ashoka put her hand on the prince's shoulder, to which he shrugged it off.
"You two and I are the only ones left," said the prince.
"I'm sorry, Lee-Char," said Ashoka.
"I know what I must do. I know my people need me. I just don't know how to win this war." said Prince Lee-Char.
"Look, I know you're scared, but you can't let your fear control you," said Twilight as she grabbed the prince's hand, trying to give the young heir some support and comfort.
"Aren't you two scared?" asked the prince.
"I used to be, all the time until I realized that if you make decisions out of fear, you're more likely to be wrong," said Ashoka as she recalled the incident with Ryloth and how she let fear overtake her during the mission.
"I will unify Mon Cala again. I promise," said the prince too both girls.
They heard some distant rumbling.
"We have to go," said Twilight as their foes searched for them. "Hang on, Storm."
The princess knew her partner was captured but knew he would be fine. Right now, she had to keep the prince safe and find a way to rescue her allies. The girls were swimming away with the prince as they had to keep moving to avoid being caught and disappearing into a cave.
Author's Note: And so we continue on as what started out with some promise in our heroes gaining some reinforcements, has soon turned. Just like any battle, the tide can change as now everybody has been captured. Only the girls and the Prince remain as they need to regroup and think about what their next move is and fast.
