Day 4 lets go. We're in the world of business and stuff. As you can see, not my forte, but let's just go with it, and see where it takes us.
As always, let me know what you think.

Kara's eyes were closed as she flew through the city, not even sure if she bothered to get changed into her super suit, just letting the sound of Lena's heart guide her towards the Lena Luthor Foundation building. The last thing she remembered was running over the chairs and tables right into Andrea's office; Cat was there for some reason. "Keira, what's the matter?" Kara was glad for Cat's presents, as she just whispered something to let Cat explain her sudden take off from the balcony.
Lena was working down in her lab when something tingled her senses. The small monopoly dragon fell from the air as Lean's attention faded. She was working on getting it to work without her being there and her constant attention to it; when she was finished, she thought it might make a good gift for Esme. Though she doubted Alex and Kelly would want a magical dragon in the house that only responded to Esme, that was a problem for later. Lena's focus right now, though, was Kara; something was wrong as far as she could tell. Ever since the alien got back from the Phantom Zone, Lena had put a protective spell on her to alert her to any problems the Kryptonian had. It could be nothing; for all the witch knows, it could have gone off because Kara was excited, and the magic got confused by the rise in her heartbeat. She continued to work on the small dragon, slowly regaining confidence with flying around the room from his sudden landing. The dragon followed Lena's thoughts and made his way upstairs to the office while Lena was engrossed in her spell book, looking for different features to add.
Jess' gaze wandered to the door to meet the flying game piece; by now, she was used to seeing weird things float up to her office when Lena was playing around in the lab. However, a dragon was new. The little metal creature flew past her towards the door, then back to Jess, then the door again, as if asking for her to open it. "She's not in there, buddy; she's downstairs." The thought of how strange this job was crossed her mind; she was now talking to a monopoly dragon as if it could understand. The dragon did seem to understand, though. He made his way back to the door, assessing the space, before writing on it with fire. "Tá a fhios agam, tá Cara ann." Jess seemed to understand; working with Lena for so long, she picked up a few Irish phrases.
The door clipped open to find Kara huddled on the sofa, retreating to the corner. With a flash, the dragon made his way over to the blonde and curled up on her knee, coughing a few puffs of smoke out of his lungs from writing on the door. Kara naturally begins stroking his metal scales, him making a soft noise of appreciation. Before Jess was noticed, she went to find Lena, who Kara was obviously here for.
"Miss Luthor," Lena looked up from her book, noticing the dragon's absence and Jess' subsequent appearance. "Your dragon is upstairs; he kind of ruined your door. But he's sleeping on Kara right now, who seems to be in some kind of distress and most likely looking for you." The witch got up, thanking Jess and apologising for the dragon's chaos causing. She knocked on her door, not wanting to startle the young alien. Kara's head rose from between her legs, mouthing something about the light in Kryptonese. The witch moved her hands, ordering the curtains to close while making her way over to the crying alien.
The little dragon awoke from his slumber, looking proud of having alerted Jess to Kara's presents and keeping her company till Lena got there. He yawned before flying back to the witch's shoulder and promptly falling asleep again. "Hey you, what's going on in there?" Lena gently kissed the top of Kara's head, coaxing her into her arms. The Kryptonian fell willingly, clinging onto Lena like a rock in the rapids, burying her face in her chest, trying to pull the witch's heartbeat closer.
"William and I had an argument in the middle of the office. He told me I would be lucky to have a man like him, that he would treat me right. He accused me of sleeping with Cat and Andrea as I always seemed to get off on being late or taking large amounts of holiday, or whatever. I yelled back that it was none of his business and that I wasn't looking for a relationship right now, as I was getting through some stuff on my own. Then he said for someone not wanting to be in a relationship, I was spending an awful lot of time with you. Then he started calling you names and saying you just wanted to use me because you're a Luthor, after all. That's when I left. Cat was in the office, so I whispered to her that I was about to have a sensory overload and flew off, leaving her to explain." Tears flowed down Kara's face as Lena tightened her grip on the alien; she reached into her pocket, pulling out a bracelet. Kara knew about the protection spell on her, which she had done for a while, but a physical reminder couldn't harm.
"Darling, I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you." She traced Kara's family crest from under her shirt, "Can I give you something?" Kara nodded into Lena's chest, "You know I have a protection charm over you; if you accept this bracelet, it will amplify it. Then all you have to do is tap it twice to transport you to wherever I am. If you can't tap it, just ask, and it will send me to you." Kara held out her wrist as Lena clasped it around her. Lena went on to explain that it was a bonding charm to give someone a piece of jewellery made out of your hair. Kara just listened as the words flowed out of Lena's mouth, humming in contentment. "Is breá liom tú, Cara."
So there you have it. I felt the dragon was too cute to get rid of.
Irish in this:
- Tá a fhios agam, tá Cara ann. - I know, Kara's in there
- The bracelet is part of an ancient bonding ritual, where it's customary to give someone you love a braided bracelet of your hair. The spell won't take unless the person accepts the gift so you can't unknowingly bind someone to you. The spell acts kind of like an alarm, letting the giver know you are in trouble
- Is breá liom tú, Cara - I love you, Kara
