Leon's mission was finished and accomplished...but he agreed to be Ashley's bodyguard for some time - in case anything happened. Unexpectedly, he found he was enjoying himself, and that he very much needed a break from his near-death experiences - more than he had realized. Meanwhile, Ashley is dealing with the aftermath of her traumatic experience...but does it really end there ?

20. Sorry

Unfortunately, this update is not a new chapter, but an apology. I will be taking a break from this story for a while, and I apologize for the delay. I already have the ending planned out - have had it for weeks, but getting there is what I'm struggling with. And so I'm currently correcting every chapter one by one, hoping that'll help inspiration flow again. If anyone's interested, the second version of this story will be published as my Silver-lining Remake, with less mistakes and (hopefully) better writing. So feel free to check that out if you want something to read in the meantime, and again, sorry for the delay.
