When the Good Hunter opened their eyes again, they were pleasantly surprised to find out that they had indeed returned from Yharnam to the Hunter's Dream. Taking a look around, it didn't take them long to find their hunting partner perched on top of a small increase in height in front of the Workshop, appearing to be talking to the doll they saw before their excursion through Central Yharnam. Only this time, the doll was clearly standing on its own and even appeared to be actually talking with Fauna about something. Probably their fight against the giant Wendigo-like Beast and how Fauna stole the final blow if the Good Hunter were to make a guess.
"… and then I made my entrance. Transformed Funeral Falchion in both hands, ready to introduce it to Mister 'big, furry and ugly'." The Good Hunter didn't bother to stop themselves from snorting. "Eeeek, it went at me, but I wasn't deterred. Swosh! I swing my scythe and schlink! Off with Mister 'big, furry and ugly's head!"
"Impressive. Makes me wish I could have been there to see it… from a safe distance." Replied the Doll in a tone that wasn't difficult for the Good Hunter to place. It was the tone of a mother (or at least mother figure) sounding genuinely interested and impressed with her child's story.
"Fair enough. He, I assume at least, was big, furry and ugly after all, and seemed to pack quite the punch."
"He did. Ow." Stated the Good Hunter, drawing the attention of their hunting partner and the living doll while rubbing their ribs uncomfortably and wincing in lingering pain.
"Hello, Good Hunter. I hear that you and Fauna have slain a mighty foe. Please, come closer, Good Hunter, I can sense the Dying Wishes of the Blood within you." Despite being clearly hesitant and alarmed by what the Doll said, the Good Hunter complied with the Doll's request.
"Dying Wishes of the Blood? I'm being haunted by the dead?"
"In a way, but that's not important. What is important is that I can channel the power of the Dying Wishes of the Blood into you and convert that power to strengthen your being."
"Huh?"
"If you desired it so, Good Hunter, I could channel the power of the Dying Wishes of the Blood to grant you physical strength and/or skill, improve your vitality or endurance and a few more aspects of your being."
"Interesting. Anything else I should know?"
"Yes. Here in the Dream, the Dying Wishes of the Blood can also be used in other ways."
"Such as?"
"Performing maintenance of your weaponry and equipment or converting Dying Wishes of the Blood into useful items at the little ones. Sometimes however, you will need to use and acquire Dying Wishes of the Blood in larger quantities or potency to make use of the faculties of the Dream."
"So hunt stronger foes or compensate for a lack of potency with a larger quantity of foes I can hunt?"
"Close enough, Good Hunter. Now close your eyes and let the strength in the Dying Wishes of the Blood become your own."
