It was midday when they arrived at the sparkling shores of Lake Ontario. They marveled at Canada's beauty, a true twin of America to the north.
"Always did wanted to go see Canada," said Almanzo. "Sure is breath-taking"
"Yes-siree, Mr. Kirkland sired twin boys who would grow up to break the hearts of many nations. Well, at least one of them," Alfred replied.
Almanzo said his goodbyes and turned back south to help protect the little house on the prairie. Alfred would have to figure out a way to get to Wawanakwa on his own.
"Now what could we possibly-"
"Hey, you! You guys on the cast? Get to the boat now, the taping's going to start soon!" said the voice of an intern behind them.
"Talk about a run of luck!" said Maria.
The intern waited for them at the docks, where a large yacht was waiting to ferry the contestants of Total Drama Island to Wawanakwa.
"Hold on," said the intern. "This is All Stars Two we're taping, I don't remember you from any past season"
Alfred went numb, but Maria answered for them. "Er, it's All Stars: Canada vs. The World! We're the foreign contestants representing America, Japan and the Philippines, sir!"
The intern shrug. "That McLean's always finding a way to one-up himself, I guess. Get in"
They got in. "RuPaul's Drag Race? Really?" asked Japan.
"It got us in, right? I said what I said, okur?"
They entered the passenger cabin and gagged when they saw a dozen past Total Drama contestants chilling there.
"Boy, they weren't kidding when they said this was All Stars Two, huh?"
"Yeah, Al, they got some of the best contestants back! LeShawna, Courtney, ooh Dawn's here!" said Maria.
"Hi, everybody!" said Alfred. The twelve campers turned around and gave mixed reactions. Some waved back, but others glared at them with suspicion.
They sat down between the Season One and Season Six casts. Japan struck up a conversation with Harold, a known weeb. Maria chatted up Courtney but Courtney was busy strategizing. LeShawna, however, happily gossiped with Maria, who told them they were surprise international contestants. Alfred kept an eye on his pockets, which held his gun coins, lest Mary Kate swiped them.
The boat began sailing towards Wawanakwa. Courtney seemed to eye them with suspicion, as Kiku pointed out to Maria. "Oh, that girl's just bitter because every season they threw a plot twist at her and it got her eliminated," Maria replied. "Courtney's harmless, really."
"How do you know?" asked Kiku incredulously.
Maria smiled. "Courtney's last name is Dimaapi-Valdez. I know my daughters"
On the other side of the passenger area, Dawn gasped.
"What's the matter, Dawn, seasick?" asked Brick kindly.
"No, it's… it's nothing"
I have never seen auras like that on people, she thought in fear. What does this mean? Who are these guys?
As the boat churned on, Alfred couldn't help but feel they were being watched. He told Maria about this, but she sensed nothing approaching in the wind. He decided to put this thought at the back of his head as they got closer to Wawanakwa and Piper McLean.
Maria stared dreamily at the scenery unfolding before them. She pointed at the lake birds and the fish that sometimes leapt from the surface of the water. Kiku actually managed to relax for a while, which was a small miracle in itself. The yacht sailed towards the infamous island uneventfully.
Maria considered how they would find Piper, considering they might get thrown in on a challenge the moment they set foot on the island. They would need to engineer a way to separate themselves from the crowd.
Courtney continued to keep an eye on the three contestants, highly suspicious of them, as she had never seen them on any of the seasons of the show. If they were Chris' latest gimmick, she thought, she was determined to see for herself and put these clowns in their place.
