The week had gone by surprisingly quickly for Bowsette in the 1A classroom. But in that time she managed to form friendships with the girls from 1A. She started with Tsuyu due to the frog girls mutual friendship with Midoriya and Uraraka. She was a tough girl to read but once they actually shared a conversation Bowsette liked her.
The next were Mina and Tooru. The conversation originally started with Mina discussing the fight between her and the Blonde at the sports festival which later turned to conversation about growing up in Brooklyn.
This was followed by a conversation with Kaminari and Jirou about music tastes which got the punk rock girl and the American talking which some how made the electric quirk user left out of the conversation despite him being the one who initially started it.
This left Yaoyorozu as the final girl in class for the exchange student to have any interaction with. This was mainly driven that Bowsette was avoiding her due to the fact that the dark haired girl came from money. And she couldn't deny that the Rick girl was a looker to boot.
So bowsette expected the girl to fit the usual stereotypes. Doesn't know the meaning of struggle and hard work, Relies on money or power to solve life's simplest problems because she be an intitled snob, If money doesn't work then a bit of flirting wouldn't hurt to get what she wanted and truth be told that's exactly how Bowsette expected her to made her way into UA.
That's why she had a lot of respect and a great growing relationship with Uraraka. They came from different parts of the world but had a similar story. Came from a struggling family with dreams of being a hero. And so both had to work hard to achieve that dream.
But as the week went by she slowly learned that Yaoyorozu wasn't at all what she pegged her to be. Yes she may have grown with money and raised to be upper class but she was as hard working as everyone else. Especially after learning the complexities of how the raven heads quirk worked.
Bowsette was embarrassed to have judged the girl so quickly but was fortunate she never voiced her opinions to anyone else about her. She eventually began having conversations with Yaoyorozu when hanging around with Jirou before class. Just as the week was coming to an end she felt quite comfortable with the girls of 1A.
Truth be told she never had much friends back in Brooklyn. She suspected it was due to her appearance to how villainous she looked with her shell, tail and horns. 1A and UA in general were very accepting of her appearance. Which was understandable considering the likes of Tokoyami, Shoji and Koda look far more different then she ever did.
But here and now she stood at the train station with her new suit in its case fresh from the support department whilst waiting for her train to take her to her selected hero Agency. She had a while to wait so was talking with Asui and Jiro when she noticed Uraraka missing from the group.
After a moment of looking around she located the brunette standing with her costume designer. Midoriya. And both seemed to be in a conversation with the class rep Iida. She had mixed feelings on the class rep.
Mainly due to the fact he acted very differently to how he was during the sports festival. There he was prideful and talkative and supportive of his fellow classmates. But currently he was quite and often kept to himself and hardly interacted with anyone including Midoriya and Uraraka. No one in class except those two noticed his change in attitude and Bowsette had over heard the two discussing during lunch thus making her keep a closer eye on him.
She didn't have any form of a relationship with the guy but her instinct was that if her new friends were considered then she'd be happy to keep an open eye for them. Even though they never asked her to.
Soon the students departed and her along with them stepped on the various trains to go to the hero agency's. She was giddy with excitement as all her hard work has payed off to get her this opportunity.
Whilst riding the train she noticed a girl with blue hair glancing in her direction. A glance back revealed to her that she also wore a UA uniform. Before Bowsette could even begin to wonder if she was familiar or not the Bluenette seemingly floated towards her "Hey you're that general studies girl that made it into the hero course right?!"
The blonde was taken back but nodded in reply "Uh yeah I am.. sorry who are you?"
"oh I'm sorry. How rude of me not to introduce myself. My classmates tell me all the time I never introduce myself and just got a habit of getting into peoples faces and asking them a whole bunch of questions. Kinda like how you did with that angry guy you fought. You got right up in his face before he beat you. Which was sad cause I was rooting for you too... oh crude I'm doing it again... sorry sorry. I'm Nejire Hado from class 3A"
Damn... girl can talk.
"Oh... I'm Bowsette Koopa." Said the American introducing herself.
"pleasure to meet you. Now I'm told you're doing your work study with Ryukyu. Which is handy cause I'm doing my internship with her. So you just stick with me and I'll happily take you to her agency. Although it kinda sucks I'm interning cause I still gotta go back and study at school unlike you. You get to spend the whole week working as a pro... well not really working. Just more like being a fly on the wall and observing how the whole hero career works." Rambled Hado
Bowsette began to wonder if everyone around her talked slow for her benefit so she could understand what was being said or if Hado had speed talking quirk. "So uh what was your quirk?" She said trying to be polite.
Hado smiles as she began producing a small swirl of yellow energy from her hand as a demonstration "It's called Wave Motion. It allows me to produce physical energy. I can't use it likes blasts similar to a Dragonball game or if I produce enough energy I can use it to make myself airborne and fly. Catch is it chews up my Stamina and makes me like super tired. But hey what about your quirk? Is it a dragon type quirk or a turtle quirk? Or is it both?"
Bowsette chuckles "To be honest it's kinda both. But I'm not sure how I ended up with. Like did I have a dragon mum and a turtle dad? Who knows since I never knew my parents. So let's just say it's a combo of the two."
The two UA students arrived to Ryukyu's agency after what seemed to be a never ending one sided conversation.
Hado lead the way and escorted Bowsette straight to the Dragon heros office. As they both entered they found the Pro sitting at her desk typing at a computer. Noticing the two enter Ryukyu glanced up and eyed the two before a small smile graced her lips.
"I see you've brought Miss Koopa for her Work Study Hado."
The blue haired girl nodded excitedly "I sure did." She said twirling around proudly.
The older woman chuckled "Thank you Hado. Now go get fitted into your hero uniform. Id like to speak to Miss Koopa in private."
Hado gave a simple salute and floated out of the door effortlessly as she carried her costume case into the nearest locker rooms.
Now Bowsette was alone with the one who will be taking her under her wing for the next week. She was a mix of excited and nervous but didn't dare wish to do anything to embarrass herself infront of the fellow blonde haired dragon woman.
"Now Miss Koopa. Can you have a guess as to why I requested you to be in a work study under my agency?" The pro asked.
The horned blonde gulped before answering "If I was to guess ma'am. I'd say it's because of the dragon like abilities of my quirk?"
The pro smiled and nodded "Dragon quirks a extremely rare. But not as rare as yours. My quirk allows me to transform into a dragon. Others merely take on the appearance mixed with a human form. But you. You keep a mostly human form whilst maintaining basic dragon features. Such as your horns, tail and most improvisely the ability to breath fire."
Bowsette continued to listen carefully and was surprised to hear that her quirk was considered something rare. "To top it off you have turtle like abilities aswell. Your shell acts as armor but you can use it as a weapon aswell. And you can retract yourself inside it to use either way. To hear you were a general studies student I was surprised and concerned."
"concerned?" the younger blonde asked
Ryukyu nodded "That's right. Concerned that UA would ignore your potential until months later when they usually start helping general students with potential. I needed to get my request into let them know that you must start your hero journey sooner rather then later. And it seems many pros felt the same."
The American smiled "Thank you ma'am... hearing that. It means a lot."
The dragon hero nodded "I can only imagine. But you're here now. And that means you represent me and this agency during your time here. And thus you'll work as hard as any of my staff. Whether thats here in the office or out in the field. You may look like a hero when you wear your costume but you're far from it. Remember you are here to learn. And I'll teach and help where I can especially with your quirk. But if I become absent then Hado or one of my sidekicks is in charge and in turn you are in there care. Understood?"
Bowsette nodded taking in the whole harsh yet inspiration speech. This is what she wanted. She was ready for this. "Loud and Clear."
Just like the first pyramid the second pyramid turned out to not have a giant warp pipe either which of course was disappointing to the Plumber brothers.
On the plus side it was evening so they can walk the desert in a comfortable coolness and not worry about getting swooped by the angry sun like it was some kind of crazed Australian Magpie off its face on meth.
And so the two began the journey to the third and Last pyramid. Either they'll find the warp pipe here or the won't find it at all. Luigi did joke that he was surprised they didn't find Toad sitting in the pyramid saying something like "Good work Mario. But the warp pipe you're looking for is in another pyramid."
Mario's response to that was that if Toad did do that then he'd be as flat as a Goomba under his boots. Then feed him to piranha plant for good measure.
Luigi laughed but gulped when he realised that his big brother was serious about his threat.
