Chapter 10: Rolling Out
A few days after their little adventure in the Fire Civilization, Ray, Jen and Janet were all sitting with Grandpa Raiden in the living room, watching TV. There was a news bulletin about a group of heroes known as the Nebula Rangers battling one of their archenemies, Weather Mistress. "That's right, folks. Crown City's greatest defenders, the Nebula Rangers, have successfully saved our city from the evils of Weather Mistress once more. Except this time, they appeared to have received help from some giant robots of some kind." The newscaster explained as a video of the battle opened on the screen. The Nebula Rangers and a group of giant robots were fighting Weather Mistress.
Ray, Jen, Janet and Grandpa Raiden were surprised to see those giant robots. They looked at each other, remembering a similar giant robot they knew from a year ago.

The next day, Ray and Jen met up with their friends at their childhood hangout. "So, anyone else see the news down in Crown City?" Gabe asked. "We sure did. Those Nebula Rangers are awesome." Allie said. "So were those giant robots that helped them fight against Weather Mistress." Terry added. "Those giant robots kinda remind me of our old giant robot friend, Cinderray." Miku said. "Yeah. But she left with a good reason." Greta said sadly. "Yeah. I remember when we found her at summer camp a year ago. She was so confused and she didn't know where she came from or how she got here on Earth." Maribel said. "Yeah. Cinderray suffered from amnesia and couldn't remember anything." Jen said. "And then there was that earthquake that happened in Crown City. Cinderray figured that it wasn't an ordinary earthquake and decided to leave for Crown City, hoping to find answers about her past." Ray explained. "I miss her so much. I wonder if she arrived there safely." Allie said. "Traveling to Crown City usually takes a land vehicle like Cinderray's vehicular mode at least a few days. So, I'm sure Cinderray arrived there safely." Gabe said.
"Oh, remember that one time she humiliated the bullies? She drove by and splashed them with muddy water." Terry said with a chuckle. "Oh yeah. Everyone at school laughed so hard at that." Allie said. "I've never seen the bullies so mad at being humiliated." Portia said. Everyone laughed so hard at that memory before sighing. "I hope Cinderray recovers her lost memories so she can come back one day and tell us where she really came from." Ray said. "And I hope those giant robots will be able to help her too." Jen said. Everyone just sat there in a saddened silence.
Suddenly, the silence was broken when Ray got a call on his phone from Master Chavez. "Yes, Master C?" Ray asked as he answered the call. "Raiden, there is a creature that escaped from the Creature Realm after the Choten's minions tore a rift in the Veil. You need to find it and send it back." Hector said. "Yes, sir. We're on it." Ray said, ending the call. "What's happening?" Portia asked. "There's a creature loose. It came through a rift in the Veil created by the Choten's guys." Ray explained. "So, the Masters need us to track it down?" Allie asked. "You know it. And with the Azurite, we can track it down in no time." Ray said.
Later, the Azurite led the kids and the Kazamas to an abandoned junkyard. "Oh, great. The junkyard. Big surprise." Allie said sarcastically. "Whatever this creature is, it's right inside the junkyard." Ray said. "Then let's go see if we can find it." Jen said. The kids entered the junkyard and started looking through the place. "Ew. This place smells worse than the gym did last week." Portia groaned, holding her nose. "Agreed. Let's not stay here any longer than we already have to." Greta said. "Well, that won't be an issue for much longer." Ray said as the Azurite started glowing brighter. "We found it?" Jen guessed. "It's just around this corner." Ray said. As they turned a corner, they saw a small brown-robed creature with an orange fuzzy head, grey feet and 2 mechanical arms. It was scrounging up through the junk piles. "That's a Scrapheap Hunter, a Belly Burner like Om Nom Nom." Kaito said, recognizing the creature. "They like scrounging through scrap piles for their mechanical limbs." Sakura explained. The little Belly Burner turned around to see the kids and the Kazamas watching it and grew hostile. "Whoa, whoa. It's okay, little guy." Jen said as she slowly walked towards the Scrapheap Hunter. But Scrapheap Hunter growled as it prepared to defend itself. "Uh, Jen, maybe that's not such a good idea." Gabe said with concern. "Jen knows what she's doing. I trust her." Ray said. As Jen got close enough, she held out her hand to the Scrapheap Hunter. "It's okay. I won't hurt you. You can trust me." Jen assured with a smile. Scrapheap Hunter chittered curiously as it eyed Jen's hand. Ray and the others watched with worry and concern. Scrapheap Hunter slowly reached out and took Jen's hand. "See? You can trust us. We're going to send you home." Jen said. Scrapheap Hunter chittered happily. Suddenly, there was an explosion behind the kids and the Kazamas. Everyone quickly turned around as Glasses and 6 Choten minions walked through the smoke. "Hello, boy." Glasses greeted.
"Glasses!" Ray exclaimed. "So, this is Fingers' sister? Guess I see the resemblance." Terry said. "Nice to finally meet you all. Now hand over the Burn Belly and we'll be on our way." Glasses demanded. "No. You're not touching him." Jen said as she, Ray, the kids and Kazamas readied their gauntlets. "So be it. Silver Fist!" Glasses exclaimed, using her tech gauntlet to summon Silver Fist, a rhino Beastkin from the Nature Civilization. The minions each summoned their own creatures and prepared to duel. "Tatsurion the Unchained!" Ray called. "Skarvos the Assassin!" Jen called. Bob and Weave appeared through the portals, ready to fight. "Looks like we hit the jackpot, Bob." Weave said, cracking his knuckles. "Scaradorable of Gloom Hollow!" Allie called, summoning Squeaky. "Reef Prince Glu-urgle!" Gabe called, summoning Gargle. "Frogzooka!" Terry called, summoning Frogzooka. "Om Nom Nom!" Greta called, summoning Om Nom Nom. "Eye of the Tide!" Portia called, summoning Eye of the Tide. "Kenina the Ignitor!" Maribel called, summoning Kenina. "Grove Protector!" Sakura called, summoning Grove Protector. "Citizen Tokori!" Kaito called, summoning Citizen Tokori. "Haven's Elite!" Miku called, summoning Haven's Elite.
Scrapheap Hunter watched in awe as his new friends summoned their creatures. "Alright, boys, let's duel! Attack!" Glasses exclaimed as she and the minions motioned their gauntlets, ordering their creatures to attack. "Let's go, guys!" Ray exclaimed as he climbed onto Bob's back. Weave picked Jen up and placed her on his shoulder. As both sides started to fight, 3 large figures were watching them from the junk piles. Allie and Squeaky dueled against a minion with a Skeleton Soldier from Darkness. "Let's give him an earful, Squeaky." Allie said. Squeaky let out her ear-piercing shriek. But the minion controlled the Skeleton Soldier to dodge the shriek. "Okay, that bone head is really making me angry. Hold still!" Allie exclaimed as Squeaky fired her bat breath. But the Skeleton Soldier dodged the bats and slashed Squeaky with its sword, making her disappear. "Okay, now this just got bad." Allie said with worry before running off.
Om Nom Nom struggled against a second minion's Splinterclaw Wasp, a big red Megabug. "Give him a good facial, Nom Nom." Greta said, motioning her hands. Om Nom Nom burped out his breath of fire, but Splinterclaw ducked to dodge it. "Hit that beast from below!" The minion ordered. Splinterclaw jabbed Om Nom Nom in the belly with its claws. "Now hit it with the stinger!" The minion ordered. Splinter claw jabbed Om Nom Nom with its stinger, making him disappear. "Oh, bad. Oh, bad, bad, bad!" Greta exclaimed with worry before running off.
Frogzooka was blasting at a third minion's Ice Launcher, an Aquan with ice cannons on its arms. Ice Launcher fired large ice balls from its cannons as Frogzooka kept firing his energy blast. "Don't let up, Froggy. Keep blasting." Terry said as he motioned his hands. Frogzooka continued blasting as he dodged the ice attacks, but Ice Launcher kept dodging as it fired back. "Think you're a pretty good shot? Think again, boy." The minion said as he motioned his hands. Just then, Ice Launcher wrapped its tail around Frogzooka and tossed him into the air before blasting him with an ice blast, making him disappear. "Oh, that's not good." Terry said with worry as he turned and ran as Ice Launcher turned its attacks on him.
Eye of the Tide protected Portia as they dueled the fourth minion's Meteorsaur, a Rock Brute. "Come on, Eye. Psionic attack!" Portia exclaimed, motioning her hands. Eye fired his psionic attack, hitting Meteorsaur and giving it a splitting headache. "Shake it off, you beast!" The minion exclaimed, motioning his hands. Meteorsaur shook off the attack and fired magma balls from its mouth. Eye tried his best to avoid the magma balls, but one of them struck him hard and made him disappear. "Eye, no!" Portia cried. The Meteorsaur turned its attention on her, scraping its foot on the ground. "Uh oh." Portia whimpered before running off.
Kenina flew across the sky, being chased by the fifth minion's Keeper of Twilight, a Light Civilization Storm Patrol. "That's it, Kenina! Just like we practiced!" Maribel called as she motioned her hands. "Your little chicken's not getting away from me!" The minion exclaimed, motioning his hands. Keeper of Twilight fired energy beams of light as it continued chasing Kenina. "Quickly, Kenina, fireball attack!" Maribel exclaimed, motioning her hands. Kenina turned around, dodging the light blasts and fired a fireball from her beak. But the attack didn't even phase the Keeper when it hit. It blasted Kenina, making her disappear. "Oh, not again!" Maribel cried as she ran off.
Gabe dueled against the sixth minion's Launcher Locust, using his mana shield to block the Megabug's rockets. "Gargle, I can't hold the shield for long! We need some serious bug repellent!" Gabe exclaimed. "Extermination program. Eliminate giant bug." Gargle said, constructing his weapon. Just then, the Launcher Locust managed to destroy Gabe's mana shield, knocking him down. "So long, little boy." The minion said. Just then, as the Launcher Locust prepared to finish Gabe off, Gargle sprayed it with a super cannon armed with bug spray, forcing it back. "Excellent work, Gargle!" Gabe cheered. Unfortunately, the spray ran out. "Uh oh. Spray cannon error." Gargle said with worry. The Launcher Locust blasted Gargle, making him disappear. Gabe freaked out and took off.
Bob and Weave struggled against Silver Fist's strength. "Don't hold back, Bob! Push him back!" Ray exclaimed. "We got him now, Weave!" Jen exclaimed. But Glasses motioned her hands, and Silver Fist pushed Bob and Weave back into the scrap piles. Scrapheap Hunter whimpered as he worried about his new friends. The Kazama Triplets motioned their hands as Grove Protector, Citizen Tokori and Haven's Elite attacked together. But Silver Fist swung his axe and struck them one by one, making each of them disappear. "So, no one left, but the half-breeds." Glasses said. The kids and Kazamas regrouped and got behind Bob and Weave as the minion's creatures surrounded them. "Now this is where caring for these monsters gets you, kids. Now give us the Burn Belly." Glasses demanded. "Jen, I think it's time to go Guardian Spirit." Ray said. "Good call, Ray." Jen said. They got out their K-Tectors and prepared to activate them.
But then, suddenly, a loud horn was blown, startling everyone. "What's that noise?" Glasses asked. Everyone turned to see a crimson and jet black 2021 Ain't Fare bus, followed by a cyan and teal 2015 D-Muscle car with a bisexual flag imprint and a magenta 2015 4ward Speed car with a lesbian flag imprint, driving towards them. The Ain't Fare rammed into the minions' creatures, making them disappear. Glasses and the minions staggered back, tripping over their own legs. As the vehicles stopped in front of the kids, the bus opened its door to let them in. "Let's go!" Ray exclaimed. Jen grabbed Scrapheap Hunter as she and the others climbed into the bus while Bob and Weave got on the roof. The 3 vehicles drove out of the junkyard, leaving Glasses and the minions behind. Glasses glowered as she watched them escape. "I don't think the Choten will be very happy about this." One of the minions said. Glasses just punched him in anger, knocking him into the scrap piles.
Later, the 3 vehicles drove into an isolated area as the Ain't Fare let the kids and the Kazamas out. "Wow. That was a wild ride." Allie said as Bob and Weave climbed down from its roof. "Uh, am I crazy or am I the only one who noticed that the bus has no DRIVER?!" Gabe exclaimed, freaking out. "Gabe, calm down. We've seen this before, remember? Vehicles that have no drivers and can drive by themselves." Ray said, calming his friend down. "Ah, so you lot must've seen Cybertronians before." The D-Muscle suddenly said. Just then, the 3 vehicles transformed into giant robots, revealing themselves. The D-Muscle had a regular male bot body with his front doors sticking out his back, purple optics and a little metal goatee beard. The 4ward Speed had a slim female bot look with her turbines on her arms and knees, her spoiler sticking out her back and purple optics. And the Ain't Fare was bigger than the others with his side windows armoring his arms, windshield on his chest and purple optics. All 3 bore a very familiar insignia. Bob and Weave were shocked by this. "What are these things? Some kind of Fire Civilization Stompers?" Weave asked. "Never seen them before. But I could use a better warm up." Bob said, preparing to fight. "I like the sound of that." Weave said. "Whoa, whoa! Back off, you 2!" Ray exclaimed as he and Jen stepped in between them. "Yeah. They just saved us from the Choten's forces." Jen said.
"And we're not 'Stompers'. We're Autocons." The Ain't Fare said. "We figured you were Autocons. We've met one before. Her name was Cinderray." Ray said. The Autocons were shocked by this. "You knew Cinderray?" The 4ward Speed asked. "Yes, we were good friends of hers." Ray said. "She's been with us about a year ago." Jen said. "We met her in the forest outside of the city." Gabe said. "She always drove us to school whenever we missed the bus to school." Allie said. "And we've kept her secret from everyone else." Terry said. "That's nice. Then maybe you can tell us where she is. See, we've been looking for her for a very long time." The D-Muscle said. "You're looking for her? Why are you looking for her?" Jen asked. "We're under a direct order to find Cinderray and bring her home." The Ain't Fare said. "Is Cinderray still here?" The D-Muscle asked. "Unfortunately, no. She left for Crown City." Ray said. The Autocons were disappointed from hearing that. "And we were so close in getting Cinderray back." The 4ward Speed said. "Actually, you guys should give Cinderray some time. She went to Crown City because she wanted to regain her lost memory." Jen said. "Regain her lost memory?" The Ain't Fare repeated. "Yes, when we met her, she had amnesia. She couldn't remember how she got in the forest." Ray explained. "And Crown City was the only place she could go to try and regain her memory." Jen added.
The Autocons looked at each other and nodded in agreement. "Very well. We'll give Cinderray the space she needs until she regains her memory." The D-Muscle said. "Great. We never got your names by the way." Ray said. "Oh, of course. I'm Landslide, and these are my friends Brakeline and Particle." The Ain't Fare, named Landslide, introduced. "Hi." The D-Muscle, Brakeline, greeted. "Hey." The 4ward Speed, Particle, greeted. "I'm Ray. This is my sister, Jen, and these are our friends, Allie, Gabe, Terry, Greta, Portia, Maribel, Sakura, Kaito and Miku." Ray introduced. "And who are you 2?" Particle asked, turning to Bob and Weave. "I am Tatsurion the Unchained." Bob introduced. "And I am Skarvos the Assassin." Weave introduced. "But call us Bob and Weave." Bob said. "Nice to meet you both." Particle said, offering her hand. Bob took it and shook it before Weave did the same.
"Um, Autocons, would you guys like to stay with us? Cinderray did the same." Ray asked as he offered. The Autocons looked at each other before turning back to the kids and the Kazamas. "We would be delighted to stay with you, young ones. Since we know so much about Cinderray, we now want to know about you and your creature friends here." Brakeline said. "Great. Cause there's a lot to explain." Ray said.
Later, while helping the Autocons settle in their new home, and Bob and Weave were sent back to the Creature Realm, Ray and Jen told Janet and Grandpa Raiden all about them. "Not to worry. I will ensure that you Autocons living in our garage as extra transports for any case of emergency as a cover up." Janet said. "Thank you, Mrs. Pierce-Okamoto." Landslide said. "You are very humble." Brakeline said. "It's very cozy in this garage." Particle said. "I'm glad that you like it." Janet said. Just then, Scrapheap Hunter chittered as he started tugging Jen's pant leg. "Oh, sorry, little guy. I forgot. You ready to go home?" Jen asked. Scrapheap Hunter chittered as he nodded his head. "Alright. We hope to see you again someday." Jen said as she motioned her hands, sending Scrapheap Hunter back to the Creature Realm.
The next day, the kids and Kazamas sat on the curb after missing the bus again. "We're gonna be late." Allie said with a groan. Just then, Landslide drove up. "Need a ride, kiddies?" He asked as he opened his door. The kids and Kazamas climbed aboard as Landslide greeted them with his holographic driver. "We're pretty lucky to have the Autocons on our side. They'll be a big help against the Choten." Terry said while they were on the way to school. "Who's this Choten guy you kids keep talking about?" Landslide asked. The kids and the Kazamas explained everything about the Choten all the way to the school. "Wow. What a monster." Landslide said as he pulled up to the school. "Thanks for the lift, Landslide." Ray said as he and the others got off Landslide. "Anytime. I'll pick you kids up after school." Landslide said before driving off.
On the way to class, the kids and Kazamas found themselves face to face with the bullies again. "You losers should've been late if it weren't for that stupid Ain't Fare bus giving you a free lift." Candy said. "Yeah. What'd the driver give you, a leper's discount?" Carny asked mockingly. As the bullies all started laughing. Jen got so mad, she was about to say something. But Sakura stopped her. "You lot might wanna watch your mouths. My siblings and I kicked your sorry butts before and we can do it again. But this time, more painfully." She warned. That was enough to scare the bullies. "Meh. You freaks will always be losers." Carny said as they walked away. "Oh, I've had enough of those jerks. I just wish they could get their own karma." Allie said. "I know. But there's nothing we can really do about it." Ray said as the bell rang. Later, in class, nobody, not even Ray, noticed the Azurite starting to glow again.
Later, after school, the bullies were leaving the school. Suddenly, it started raining. "Oh, that's just great." Carny groaned. The bullies brought out their umbrellas and started walking. Suddenly, as they walked under a big tree, a hive fell out of the tree and into Carny's free arm. "Hey, someone tossed a football." Nickels said. "That's no football! That's a hornet's nest!" Candy shrieked. Carny panicked and dropped the nest, which broke upon impact on the sidewalk. That angered the hornets inside as they flew out and started attacking the bullies. They screamed as they got stung, running off and dropping their umbrellas.
Wow! How's that for an original chapter? While Ray and Jen's group were on a mission to help send a Scrapheap Hunter home, as the Choten's forces attack them, 3 Cybertronian Autocons come to their aid and rescue them. The Autocons, named Brakeline, Particle and Landslide, were looking for another Autocon named Cinderray, who was a good friend to Ray and Jen's group. What new adventures will the kids have with the Autocons on their team now? Will the kids ever see their friend again? Leave a review if you'd like.
