"Gently…gently…don't pack the soil too hard now," Professor Sprout advises, watching as the mixture of Ravenclaw and Slytherin first years plant their Oran Berry Seeds. "Now many of you think that herbology is a waste of time, since most trainers are off on the road and won't ever have the time to actually tend to a garden. But here at Hogwarts we take a more direct approach in learning about what the plants of our world can do. We not only plant all sorts of berries, but apricorns which can be used to create Pokeballs and Aprijuice. Medical plants for potions, vegetables and berries that your Pokemon will love," Professor Sprout smiles a bit, glee shining in her eyes at the thought of all the things they will grow.

Aria wipes some of the sweat from her brow. She smiles a bit as Alphonse shuffles against the dirt, phishing his nose into it as if trying to get under it. She laughs, gently grabbing him and scratching his belly before she looks up as she hears a disgruntled growl.

Hermione was glaring a bit at the dirt, wiping her hands in disgust. Floating next to her was a light blue Pokemon with an oblong head with depressions on either side. Its green button-like eyes looked at her in concern. Elgyem beeps at her making Hermione look up and huffs. "Sorry Elgyem…gardening is just…not my thing," Elgyem tilts their head before they patted her on the shoulder, making her smile.

Aria could understand that. From what she could tell about Granger, the girl was more books on than practical. So something like this wouldn't be something she probably like. Aria was ok with it, since she had worked in her Aunt Petunia's Garden since she was four, and help her Teacher's more practical garden when she moved in. She frowns a bit, having been reminded of her Aunt. She didn't like being reminded of the Dursleys... She knew they were in jail, sentence for a lifetime...more than they would have if she was anyone else…she looks at the dirt that was staining her gloves before she shakes her head.

"Now that is all for today. Next time we will be pulling out any weeds. Unlike regular fruit, like apples, pears and mangos, Berries grow faster. By the next class you will have saplings growing out of the ground," Professor Sprout gestures to them to get up, "Now why don't you all wash up, I know some of you either have Physical Class or have Aura lessons today. You do not want to be covered in dirt for either of those,"

The students sigh in relief before heading towards the castle. Aria laughs a bit as Noir waves his arms about, trying to get the dirt off his claws. Daphne shakes her head, picking the Sneasle up into her arms.

Hogwarts was different, Aria had decided. It wasn't anything like the school she went to in Surrey or being homeschooled in Gearpool. The classes were fascinating and many were now getting used to the routine. After washing up, they all headed to the Great Hall where lunch waited for them. Daphne's Rotomphone was floating above them, playing Nevermore Daily News, or NDN for short.

Munching into her Shepherd's pie she watches as Rita Skeeter spoke on the screen, "and this year, found Prince Lucas Grindlewald has entered his first year at Dumstrang Institute as a fourth year. When asking his parents, King Vladimir and Queen Natasha Lector on their opinion they reported that their youngest son and his team has gotten stir crazy being kept in the castle and they trust that his older siblings will be keeping an eye on him,"

"There's still royalty going around?" Aria asked in shock. She knew that all regions use to have kingdoms but she had thought that they all died out when Leagues and the Union were formed.

"Oh yes…there are three Families in the world who have the title of Ancient Royal," Daphne explained, "there is the Keesho Family in Kanto, they run the Kingdom of Rita. In the Hoenn Region the Mirage Kingdom is ruled by the Everclear Family and of course the Grindlewald Family," Aria blinks as people began to turn towards them, hissing slightly at the name, "runs the Platinum Kingdom in Sinnoh," she bites into her shepherd's pie, "but the fourth child of the Ancient Royal Family of Grindelwald disappeared when he was eleven, after he gain his starter. And he was only found last year. It's a big thing with him going to school now,"

Aria hums at this but then pulls her attention back to the Rotomphone, blinking at the photo of a wolf…an actual wolf and not a Pokemon standing on his hind legs getting onto a ship. His fur was a slate gray, almost black with a hint of blue, especially around the eyes where a mask like marking was. The eyes themselves were a bright amber. He was wearing a dark tunic with a turtleneck-like collar and a maroon button coat. There was a belt wrapped around his waist with what appeared to be Dumstrang's coat of arms on the buckle. "He's a wolf,"

"A Chimera…he's just as human as you and I, just furrier. Some people think that they just happen because of an accident caused by Aura but no one really thinks about it…well besides Champion Cynthia but she likes anything to do with history. There are just families that don't look like the norm for humans…besides Chimeras there are Veelas…some say they're the descendants of unions between Pokémon and Humans… those rumors are from thsoe who think less of them" Aria nods her at Daphne's explanation but she was interrupted as Rita laughs loudly, "oh and Prince Lucas isn't the only one taking their first step into their Region's best school! Grimm's very own Aria Potter has come to Hogwarts. And get this! She was sorted into Slytherin! I wonder what sort of dark secrets the Girl-Who-Lived is hiding? What kind of daughter she is and what would the Saviours of Grimm would think that the baby girl they sacrifice their lives for was sorted into the same house as their murder,"

A slam was heard turning many peoples' heads over to the Slytherin table. Aria pants, gritting her teeth as she slips off the table and begins to head out of the Great Hall.

"Regretting getting Sorted into Slytherin now, Potter!" Malfoy mocks but Aria ignores him, storming through the doors.

She knew this would happen, that soon the people of Grimm would strike out at her. Whispering words under their breath just because she wouldn't fit the mold that they made for her. Fighting the belief they had of her, for daring to not be the precious daughter of their saviors.

Aria takes a deep breath of the cold morning air as she steps out of the castle. Shivering a bit as fall was slowly creeping up on them. She wipes at her eyes, trying to stop the tears from falling. She shakes her head, "Stop it… who cares if they find joy in judging an eleven year old just because she doesn't fit their views. You wanted to be in Slytherin because it was not only to improve my strengths and learn to cover my weaknesses…but it was a sign that I wasn't going to bend over.."

Her hand goes to her shoulder, where the port met flesh…she remembers her days in St. Mungos, pain from the lost of her arm and leg…fear beating in her heart wondering what was going to happen to her now that her relatives could no longer take care of her…or wouldn't be allowed to…feeling relief when Barty came in a declared that her Teacher and Uncle had gain custody of her.

"Are you going to sit in that bed, wallowing in self pity? Or will you stand up …get stronger and go to Hogwarts to seize the chance it can give you. I'm not forcing you, just offering some advice. It's up to you to move forward,"

"Ari?" Looking up she spots Ron, Neville and Daphne running over to her. She blinks at the nickname that Ron had called, "are you alright? Don't listen to what Skeeter said! My mum always said she was a horrible woman, not caring what she wrote as long as she got a story,"

Aria smiles a bit, the throbbing pain on her shoulder fading just like the memory, "I know.. but I know some are going to be listening to what she said… some agree with her… I just got to prove them wrong,"

"You shouldn't have to prove anything Aria," Neville mutters and Aria smiles at him.

"I know that…. But the world doesn't work that way,"

"Come on… grab one and pass the box," Professor Filius Flitwick smiles as the first year Slytherin rummages through one of the three boxes he passed about in class. His class was one of the only classes that taught just one House at a time, to make sure no one got hurt because of rivalries. "Welcome to Year 1 of Aura 101. I am confident that we will take hold with the passion and rigor requisite of the challenge of teaching you all the basics of using Aura,"

Aria looked at the jewel bracelet that she pulled out of the box before passing it to Daphne. The bracelet was ornate, with vines carved into the metal, a beautiful green jewel in the middle. "Now to become good trainers, you need to fully understand what Aura can do, so we will start with the basics,"

Professor Flitwick looks around before he nods his head at Bulstrode, "Aura is the living essence inside of every creature, but it is invisible to our eyes except for those who are trained well in it, and for the Lucario species," Aria blinks up at that, remembering Moony, "Thanks to this Aura we can bond more closely to Pokemon. Many think that only a select few can use Aura but that is wrong. Everyone uses Aura, even subconsciously. For regular Trainers who go on the road, collecting Gym Badges, their aura helps their Pokemon grow stronger, even helps them evolve quicker, and in return the more Pokemn they catch the stronger their own aura becomes. Its why Trainers who go on the road and have a full team are much stronger than those who say have only one Pokemon, or two. It's also why that after competing in a League they sign up for lessons on the use of Aura sponsor by the Union,"

"Correct! Take ten points to Slytherin Miss Bulstrode," Professor Flitwick smiles gently, "Many think that only those who go to schools such as Hogwarts can learn how to use Aura but that is incorrect. It does not matter who your family is or how much money you have, anybody and everyone can learn how to wield it, all it needs is hard training and determination. Allow me to start at the beginning, to the basics. Many years ago Aura was believed to be magic but the truth is that it is a science. As such Aura is subjected to certain laws and limitations, all which falls under the concept of Equivalent Exchange ...Miss Potter would you like to explain this part?"

Aria flushes a bit, realizing that she had started to fidget in her seat. She hadn't meant too but she had learned all of this when she was six, "The concept of Equivalent Exchange is that in order to obtain or create something, something of equal value must be lost or destroyed. It is separated into two parts. One: The Law of Conservation of Mass. Which states that energy and matter can either be created from nothing nor destroyed to the point of elemental nonexistence. In other words, to create an object with the mass of one kilogram would reduce it to a set of parts, the sum of which would have the mass of one kilogram. The other rule is called the Law of Natural Providence: which states that an object or material made of a particular substance can only be created into another object with the same basic makeup and properties of that initial material. In other words, an object or material made mostly of water can only be created into another object with the attributes of water…." Aria blinks as everyone turns to her, even Professor Flitwick was staring at her in shock.

"C-correct Miss Potter…twenty points to Slytherin," he stutters out, not believing that an eleven year old new so much about the art of Aura…he coughs a bit, "Now there is no need for machine or equipment to use Aura, let alone to produce the energy to use it, merely understanding the sequence of changing something into another and the limitations of Equivalent Exchange is not enough," he brings out a piece of paper. The class stares at it, the circle with symbols drawn in it, "In order to use Aura, a symbol call a Glyph is needed. It can be drawn in anything, chal, pencil, ink, paint, thread, dirt or even your own blood. It can even be inscribed beforehand but without it, Aura is impossible. All Glyphs are made up of two parts. The circle itself is a conduit, which focuses and dictates the flow of power, tapping into the energy that already exists within the earth and matter. It represents the cyclical flow of the world's energies and phenomena and turns that power to manipulable ends. Inside the circle are the runes, which can vary but correspond to a different flow of energy, allowing the energy that is focused within the circle to be released in the way most conductive to the user's desired effect. In the next seven years I will be trying, and hopefully succeeding," he chuckles a bit, "to put all the Glyphs I know into your head. But you can't just learn the advantages of Aura you must also learn the disadvantages…can anyone tell me? Miss Greengrass,"

Daphne takes a deep breath, "There is one main concern about the use of Aura. When Aura builds up in a person's body, it forms into a waste, just as cars run on gasoline, and in the process, expels dangerous gasses as exhaust. Using Glyphs consumes the aura inside you and in the process expels muck as its called. Research in the nature of muck has been conducted over the years and yet we still understand little about it. All we know for sure is that it is terrifically toxic and excessive amounts can wreak havoc on a trainer's mind and body,"

"Correct Miss Greengrass. Ten points to Slytherin. Power and peril are two sides of the same coin. Even the greatest Trainers cannot keep using Aura without consequences. That is what the Aura Bracelets that I have gifted you are for. The more you use Aura without break, an inky black smudge will appeared on the jewel, a byproduct of using aura called 'muck',"

"But how do we get it off?" Parkinson trembles, looking at her own Aura Bracelet with a bit of fear, "Is there like some kinda special soap or something?"

"With sufficient rest, muck will vanish from the Aura Stone. This is why Aura Stones are so valuable to Trainers. It serves as a lightning rod of sorts, to prevent muck from accumulating within you. So when you see your stone start to get cloudy, that means it is time to ease off. Eat well, get plenty of sleep and most of the muck will clear away. People vary greatly in their capacity for Aura. However, save for a few key exceptions, there is little variance for most Trainers' tolerance in muck. In essence, it means that those who possess a great capacity for aura must be meticulous in their efforts to avoid accumulating muck. The accumulation of muck is significantly affected by the Trainer's mental state. Anger, fear, panic, sorrow, harboring these sorts of negative energies hastens the accumulation of muck by a significant degree. This, in turn, leads to the dreadful state of an "Abyssheart,"

The Slytherins fidgets in their chairs, many whispering in fear as Professor Flitwick gave them all a stern look. "Abyssheart is a tragic event when a Trainer overuses their Aura and let their negative emotions muck up. It causes their heart to close, to lash out at everything and everyone…losing control of their aura and emotions..in other terms will turn into an evil berserker mode as one student has once told me. If it's not taken care of swiftly and quickly, could mean a loss of life and not just for the people an Abyssheart is attacking,"

The whole class was now silent, even Draco couldn't mutter a mocking word about this. Professor Flitwick nods his head at this, "That is why you have this class, why everyone who starts their journey, either on the road, at school or an apprenticeship is warned, over and over again the dangers and risk of not taking a rest. This is why, during your first and second year at Hogwarts, you are only allowed to have three Pokemon. Because unlike journeying Trainers, you don't build up your stamina as fast as they do," Professor Flitwick explained, but then smiles, "Now that I had lecture you all, and possibly scared you that you won't be able to sleep tonight," he chuckles, clapping his hands, "It is an exceptionally lovely day, I was thinking that we might have ourselves a little excursion- outside for a spot of fresh air. After me!"

And that's where the first years Slytherins found themselves, outside in a long patch of grass. Waiting for them were a bunch of large green balls, "I always found that fun goes hand in hand with learning, as sure as our fans of the Royal Raid would agree with. So what better to bring something forward to you with aura than with a little game of ball?" Professor Flitwick smiles, passing out pieces of paper written with a Glyph, "Now…the best thing to do is to push your magic into the paper, hold it out towards you…."

Aria frowns a bit, staring at the Glyph and ball, toning Professor Flitwick out. "I haven't use my Aura…since that day….not in the past two years have I used it…but," she glares at the Glyph, felling revolted at the thought of using it…but not because of what she did…but at the very thought of using it.

The paper slips from her fingers and her eyes narrow at the ball as she claps her palms together. Everyone jumps, turning their gazes to her before their eyes widen as a green glow begins to shine on Aria's arms, forming into the shapes of vines as Aria throws out her hand. A whip of the same energy emerges from her palm, surging forward and wrapping around the ball. Gritting her teeth, Aria pulls her arm backwards, the ball began to roll, heading straight towards her and stopping as she blocks it with her foot. Smiling, she stops the flow of energy, panting a bit with sweat dripping down her forehead.

"That…Miss Potter…" she looks up, green eyes wide as everyone stares at her in shock, "You…you use Aura without a Glyph…"

Aria blinks, looking at her hands, a door opening to reveal red light flashes in her mind. She shivers, clenching her hands and taking a deep breath. Trying to push the memory back, while ignoring the eyes that were now on her.

So this chapter was how to replace every word of transmutation into a different word. Also a challenge on how to describe how Aura works. Thank god for Fullmetal Alchemist Wiki or I wouldn't have been able to do the explanation. Though I did take some things from Twisted Wonderland if you have saw the hints of it. What can I say? The game is good and does have a good thing on how there are risk into magic, so I use it to describe risk in aura. The more aura use it, the more it clogs your own body before it explodes into a very messy emotional stress.

Also I hope I described the use of aura way better than I did in the other chapters. I meant to explain that everyone can use aura...its just that the civillains, aren't going to use fancy moves...like think of the first few trainers you fight in begining of the game, there not strong but can still do stuff that. Its like that...they can use aura but not say as someone who goes to Hogwarts, or who has eight badges. If that makes sense.

Also yes! Chimeras are here! just not like in fullmetal alchemist. there more like how animals are in the shrek world or even sonic world...there just humanoid...there will be more explanation of them in book 4, alongside veelas, who yes do exsit in this but they take more after a certain group of characters in the pokemon games. But yeah...(no its not because I'm a moster fucker I have no idea...its not like I can't write a main character being with a human...ha ha ha)

Anyway I hope you all enjoy this chapter! Please leave me a review!
