Chapter 3 Civilized Beast
Shapeless Island shortly after the announcement of the Holy Grail tournament
After the announcement of the Holy Grail War, the Gods left to gather their respected servants to represent them. Elsewhere on Shapeless Island, Gorgon slaughtered all who came. The humans who once loved her now resent and hunt her for the sake of glory. So why would the humans bother coming to the island since she was exiled and hate? One day Gorgon sensed intruders inside her temple. Once she made her move, she was in complete disbelief when Poseidon and Athena were on her island and in her temple. It was no secret that Poseidon was once crazy in love with Medusa who now goes by Gorgon. He even gifted her Pegasus a long time ago. Athena, on the other hand, was a different story. She was the reason why Gorgon and her sister were sent to this forsaken land, so why would she bother coming here?
"It's been a long time, Medusa." Poseidon started off.
"Hmph, I no longer go by that name. What business do you have with me?" Gorgon demanded, getting straight to the point.
Poseidon explained about the Holy Grail tournament and why they were here. Poseidon promised that he would talk to the other gods to welcome her back and restore the human's faith in her. She would finally regain the life she once had. The deal sounded pretty good.
Too good.
Who is to say she won't end up back here or worse, forced into a much harsher existence.
Gorgon looked at them and told them to fuck off.
"I see. That's unfortunate." Poseidon was disappointed.
"Tell me Gorgon, did you feel any remorse after you murdered your dear family?" Athena asked with a grin.
Poseidon shook his head and sighed (not signed). Gorgon, infuriated, prepared to attack Athena but a powerful blast of waterstream send her flying back into a wall. Athena continued to smirk at Gorgon. A watery beast made its way inside the temple, it was a Hippocampi. After Gorgon saw it, she made another attempt to attack Athena but was stopped again by the Hippocampi. This time it kept Gorgon pinned against the wall. Poseidon approached Gorgon and extended his glowing hand.
"It did not have to be this way. This path is of your own choosing." Posiden states.
Athena extended a glowing hand.
"Just a little extra insurance. You're not much of a God, just a worthless, heartless monster who killed her own family. Don't worry, we'll leave enough strength for you to fight in the Holy Grail war. " Athena continued to smirk.
Backed into a corner and with nowhere to go, Gorgon could feel her power slowly being sealed away. Once again tragedy hits her again. The only thing she could do was resist with all her might. She summoned her snake hair and fired large mana beams in different directions. The building shook as it crumbled around them, deadly rubble falling like rain around them. One fell and hit the Hippocampi causing it to be distracted for a moment. Gorgon used what strength she had to hit the water monster with a mana beam, causing it to back up and disappear. Poseidon and Athena were nowhere to be seen. Gorgon felt a burn sensation on her lower abdomen. A blue and green Omega symbol and most of her power sealed off. Gorgon, saddened and infuriated, screamed and slammed her fists continuously into the ground causing it to crack. Looking at her monstrous hands, she's reminded of what she's lost and briefly wept again for the sisters that were no longer with her.
"Why am I still here? Just to suffer? The happy life I once had. The family I've lost. It's all gone now. All that's left is a monster."
Soon her sadness was replaced with laughter.
"I just need to find a way off this island and then I'll make her suffer. I'll take from her what she has taken from me. Those that wish to defend her will suffer as well." Gorgon chuckles
Underground (Present Day)
A group of insect looking cave monsters made their appearance. They were coming out of a few tunnels and they surrounded Scarface and Gorgon who were currently back to back.
"Just when I thought I could catch a break. Oh well, come and entertain me." Gorgon trying to stay awake.
Gorgon appears ready for a fight however that was not the case. After continuous battles and little to no rest it's amazing that she was still standing. Scarface took another look at Gorgon who was on the verge of collapse. The cave monsters were closing in on them. Gorgon was about to attack when suddenly her body gave out from exhaustion. She struggled to get back to her feet but there was no strength in her body left to fight now. There was a bright flash and her appearance changed (FGO Ascension 1) Scarface looked back at his new fallen master. Gorgon, frustrated with her current situation, passed out.
The Yajuta also known as the Predator, the galaxy's most feared and dangerous hunter and warrior finds himself in a rather unusual situation. Pulled from his world and forced to fight a battle he cares little about. Now he finds himself in another unusual situation. The fate of the one known as Gorgon and his own fate, now intertwine, rest in his hands. The creatures were closing in on the two. Scarface looks down at Gorgon and then at monsters. Scarface steps in front of Gorgon.
Scarface vs cave monsters
Gorgon, unconscious, was unable to fight now. Scarface looked back at Gorgon and then at the surrounding enemies. He took out his folded glaive and extended his wrist blades. The monster crawled towards them. Once they were in range they all leapt towards their prey. Scarface moved in a circle motion, smacking and slicing them away. Wasting no time, Scarface leap towards one monster and sliced its head off. Another monster leap towards him, Scarface moved his glaive in front of him and impaled the monster. The creature screamed and Scarface cut its head off. More noise from the monsters could be heard down the tunnel. Scarface drew his plasma caster and shot them. He took out two of them and the third one was closing in and crawling on the wall. The creature, spotting the unconscious Gorgon, made its way towards her.
The creature leap towards her, and Scarface threw his Shuriken, slicing the creature in half. Scarface, seeing it still trying to crawl towards Gorgon, then crushed its head. Scarface made his way to Gorgon, still lying unconscious on the ground. A noise went off from his wrist computer and then he deactivated it. He peered up from where they fell, quickly assessing an escape route. Then, taking a knee, he picked Gorgon up, shifting her to his shoulder before leaping and climbing up. Scareface squats then leaps up to began the climb upward.
After some time, Scarface made his way back to the top while carrying Gorgon. He set her down away from the edge and looked around for anything useful. Afterwards he retrieved Gorgon and made his way outside.
Inside Gorgon temple, main room
Scarface walked out the cave while carrying an unconscious Gorgon. As he did so, he saw two ships in the distance. He set Gorgon down to get a closer look at the ship. One was closer to the island than the other. The ship that was closer had armed humans off boarding and preparing for battle. The crewmen were at the beach gathering around.
*Thermal Vision*
*Zoom in SFX*
"Lord Perceus and his group have fallen. The monster Gorgon is still at large. Once everyone is off the ship we will head out," Lieutenant Bennett ordered.
"Yes, sir."
Scarface headed back to Gorgon, towering over her still body.
*Predator Crackling Noise*
Time was short and they were greatly outnumbered and Gorgon was in no condition to fight.
Once the crew members assembled on the beach, they began to head to the temple. The Lieutenant Bennett left a few people back to guard the ship. It was a long way up to the temple but the armed humans pressed on towards the temple. The armed humans looked around for anything unusual.
"Looking at this place, only a monster could have destroyed this many people." One soldier commented.
"Don't worry, once we take care of this monster, we'll be looked at as heroes." Another soldier commented.
The soldiers continued up the rocky path to Gorgon's temple. Scarface was already in position to ambush them. He made his way to the back and worked his way up. The rocks and boulders provided some cover along the way up. Scarface approached the rear and snuck up on them. He covered the mouth of the soldier and slit his throat and tossed him off the side. Scarface approached the next one, covering his mouth and stabbing him in the back. One by one Scarface picked off the group without anyone noticing until Lieutenant Bennett stopped to check on his soldiers and noticed a lot of them were missing. He stopped the remaining soldiers and headed back down to look for the missing soldiers. While heading down Lieutenant Bennett noticed a few weapons laying on the ground. He continued heading down until he walked by one of the boulders and saw one of his soldier's bodies leaned against the rock with his head missing. Lieutenant Bennett, horrified, looked further down and saw more blood and weapons on the ground.
"What on Earth happened here?" Lieutenant Bennett wondered.
Moments later he heard a scream from the location of his men. He turned around and one was lifted off the ground with two sharp objects piercing his body. Scarface struck again. The rest of the men were spooked and were not sure what it was. Bennett commanded five of them to press on while the rest would deal with the monster in front of them. The five men continued to press onward. Scarface watched them for a moment before turning his attention back to the group in front of him. He tossed the dead body off to the side and prepared to fight. He slowly began to walk towards Lieutenant Bennett's direction. Two crewmen that were behind Scarface screamed and charged towards him. Scarface simply backflipped over them and stabbed one in the head with his wrist blades, killing him instantly and slashed the other with his maul cutting him in half. Scarface continued to head towards the Lieutenant direction.
Far up the trail
The five crewmen were just within reach of the top. They looked back down to see most of their fellow mates were killed and turned their attention back to the top to achieve their objective. To their surprise they found Gorgon hung up and sleeping. The crewmen slowly approached her and there was no response.
"This is the monster Gorgon?" One crewman asked.
There was a loud scream heard from where Lieutenant Bennett was located.
"The demon is coming. You two, buy us some time." The crewman pointed at another soldier. "You, help me cut her down."
Two soldiers took their bows and aimed it down the route. They saw their comrade's head removed from his body. They yelled in anger while igniting their arrows and fired them. The arrows exploded near Scarface. Scarface began leaping up the trail.
"Are you done yet?" One soldier asked.
"We got her down, now let's get her back to the ship before that demon gets here."
Shortly after, one of the soldiers that was firing at Scarface got his head blown off. The others turned and saw their headless comrade's body fall.
"Go! Go! Go!" One shouted.
They struggled carrying Gorgon to the side. Scarface made it to the top. One soldier was heading back to his fellow comrades. Scarface shot the soldier that was running in the head and shot another one's arm off and a mysterious gold coin fell from him. A small amount of blood landed on Gorgon's lips. After the soldier lost his arm, the group stumbled to the ground. The soldier with the missing arm held his arm to stop the bleeding. The other soldiers held up a coin and chanted a phrase. After they chanted the magical phrase, a flash of light appeared and they were gone along with Gorgon. Scarface casually walked over to the area where they were last seen. He scanned the area for anything unusual and then turned his attention to the soldier with the missing arm and walked towards him. The soldier began to crawl away in horror. While Scarface was heading toward the soldier he came across the strange coin that the soldier dropped. He dropped to one knee to pick up the coin and examine it. It had the face of Athena on it and a written incantation on it.
*Scanning SFX*
After the scan, the translation appeared inside the bio mask in Yajuta writing: Athena, Goddess of War and Wisdom. Scarface turned his attention to the soldier still crawling away. The soldier turned around to see Scarface right behind him. Scarface picked him up by the neck and pinned him against a wall. The soldier's feet dangled in the air trying to touch the ground. Scarface held the coin up to the terrified soldier.
On my another island elsewhere
Gorgon, trying to recover from exhaustion, was suddenly woken up violently by being hit in the face by a heavy object. She attempted to move but was unable to move an inch. Gorgon's eyes were also covered as an extra measure. Whoever captured her, seemed to be aware of her capabilities. The island had many trees on it which was great for shade. A ship was anchored close enough to go from the island to the ship with no problem. Gorgon was held outside of the shade while her captors' camp was set up inside the shade. There were also several large rocks around Gorgon.
"You'll have to pardon our rudeness, Fallen Goddess. Or would you prefer a Demonic Goddess? You were rather violent when you got here."
"To whom might you be?" Gorgon asked while trying to move.
Gorgon's body was completely restrained, leaving no room to move an inch. Her arms were extended and chained to two pillars. Gorgon's head, arms and ankles were also chained. She was on her knees chained down, her hair was also tied up and chained as well. Additionally her restraints sealed her monstrous strength.
"To think the monster Gorgon looks like this. Too bad I'm a married man otherwise I would have my way with you. Don't bother trying to move. Those restraints were made to hold monsters like you. While those restraints are on, you are as strong as a mortal woman. As for me, Servant of Athena, Lancer. I'm called Odysseus."
Odysseus was a tall bearded and muscular wearing some light armor Greek armor.
"Odysseus? A name I probably wouldn't care to remember."
"Oh don't say that. You will remember me as the one that delivers you to Athena. It' seems you have upset my goddess greatly."
"I could care less about if I've upset that two faced back stabbing bitch of a goddess." Gorgon replied.
Odysseus delivered a hard slap with the back of his hand. It was hard enough to cause her to bleed on the lip.
"Sorry about that. I have great respect for the goddess Athena and will not tolerate anyone disrespecting her. Man or monster."
"Ah, you really are her lap dog of a Servant. Tell me, what has she promised you for your services?"
"She'll help me make it back home after the war and return me to my wife."
"The Gods these days sure are making a lot of promises. So why am I here and not heading back to Athens?"
"Well you see, we ran into a bit of a problem along the way."
"What problem might that be?"
"Well, a lot of people were sent after you, including my men."
"I killed them. What's your point?"
"Well, I would believe that but there is just one problem. You didn't kill all of them by yourself. When my men came back, they said something else did it. So I want to kill the thing that killed my men and display its head back home."
Gorgon remained silent.
"Nothing, huh. How about this, we found you strung up like a gift ready to be taken away."
"What did you say?" Gorgon's pissed off now.
"You didn't know? Well of course not, you were unconscious"
Gorgon gritted her teeth in anger for the unknown manner she was used.
"If you tell us where and what that thing is, I'll put in a good word to Athena for you."
"I know nothing about this thing that killed your men. As for Athena, she would rather see me dead."
"She can be merciful sometimes. Just tell us what you know and we'll take it from there."
"Is your brain incapable of comprehending what I just said? I know nothing about that thing and I'm of no use to you."
"Well that's not entirely true."
"?"
"We'll use you to draw the thing in, kill it and be on our way to Athena."
"!"
"We have a trap prepared for this demon."
Gorgon attempted again to break free of her restraints but was unable to.
"Odysseus. Before this is over, I will peel the flesh off your bones and bathe in your blood."
"That's quite the foreplay there. Although, I'd prefer to have my skin on though." Odysseus laughed and walked off.
Elsewhere near the island
Out in the distance, Scarface zoomed out after locating Gorgon and disappeared.
*Cloaking Activate SFX P2 style*
Sunset
The sun was setting and there was no activity yet. One of Odysseus' men approached him.
"My lord, will the monster come here?" one soldier asked.
"I'm certain it will come. We have a monster for it to kill. Once it's close enough we will ambush it," Odysseus replied.
"My Lord, a ship is approaching the island," another soldier reported.
"Who is it?"
"We don't know."
The ship was sailing closer to the island. Odysseus and his men went to check the ship and left two soldiers behind to watch over Gorgon. The ship was getting closer and they were able to make out a few things. Odysseus's men were spooked once they saw the ship. The ship was carrying dead bodies of skinned humans hung upside down. The men just stood still there as the ship sailed up to the beach.
"What happened to them?" One soldier asked.
"Who could have done this?" Another asked.
"I'm not sure. I've never seen anything like this." Odysseus replied.
Gorgon sensed something was going on. She focused her senses to perceive her surroundings. It was an ability that she had not used in a long time but was very useful.
"Let's see what's going on. They are all gathered in one spot. Hmph fools."
Gorgon continued to process her surroundings until some activity was happening from Odysseus' ship. A large amount of mana briefly activated and disappeared. Gorgon continued to focus her senses. Scarface's familiar figure emerged from the water and quietly snuck past where Gorgon was being held undetected and into the tree line. Scarface looked to where Gorgon was being held captive. Two armed guards were positioned in front of her. Gorgon slowly turned her head in Scarface's direction and then faced it forward again. Scarface disappeared up into trees.
Meanwhile, Odysseus and his men were investigating the ship that docked on the beach. After finishing their investigation, one of the men came back with an item that belonged to one of his murdered men. Odysseus looked at how his dead men were treated and was angered by this inhuman act.
"Make her talk. I don't care how you do it. She knows something about the thing out there. We are not leaving until I have its head. Do you understand?" Odysseus grabbed one of his soldiers.
"Yes, my Lord. We will make her talk."
"Good, now go."

Several soldiers begin to head back to where Gorgon was being held. Along the way, there was an explosion and several soldiers were set on fire and body parts were flying everywhere.
"What was that?" Odysseus asked.
He looked around and saw no one else in the area. They headed over to where the explosion happened. While they were on their way, a soldier's head flew off and his body fell to the ground. They turned to see what happened and saw the headless corpse.
"My Lord, is this the Gorgon's doing?"
"No, it can't be. She can't even move a muscle. Just look over there." Odysseus answered.
"Is it possible she has a follower of some kind?"
"No, not likely. No one could ever follow her. Athena made sure of that."
They all looked at where Gorgon was being imprisoned. She sat there, unable to move. They couldn't see it but she was smiling at their soon demise.
"Your right, there-" the soldier's head came off, along with the head of two other soldiers.
Odysseus and his remaining men spooked out for a bit and moved away from the tree line.
"It came from inside there." One soldier shouted.
"Go in there and find out who it is." Odysseus commanded.
A couple more soldiers ran into the tree line and disappeared. There was the sound of screams. Odysseus and his men readied themselves for what may come out the tree line. One of the soldier's that went in came out running from the trees. The next moment, a metallic spear took his head clean off and planted itself in the ground. The body dropped to the ground. Meanwhile, the soldiers guarding Gorgon started to freak out. Gorgon just smiled.
"What is that, some kind of spear?" One soldier asked.
Odysseus looked at the metallic spear from a distance and then looked at the restrained Gorgon and smirked. He planned to turn this fight into his favor with the men he had left. The plan he had initially didn't appear to be working.
"Okay we can see that you are a skilled warrior. So why don't you come out and show us some more of your skills." Odysseus shouted.
There was no answer but silence.
"Nothing huh. Let's try something else then." Odysseus was disappointed.
He headed over to where Gorgon was located.
"Whoever you are, if you don't come out..."
Odysseus grabbed Gorgon's hair and jerked her head up while holding a sword to her throat.
"Well, I'm sure you know what will happen. What's it gonna be?" Odysseus shouted.
There was silence for a moment and then movement from the tree line. A large muscular figure walked out of the tree line and stopped by the spear. Scarface retrieved his combi spear and faced his remaining prey.
*combi spear collapse SFX*
*Predator crackling noise*
"By the gods, what is that?"
"Is that a human?"
Odysseus' eyes widened.
"Well, is a surprise to see you out here." Odysseus smiled.
"My lord, you know that thing?"
"I personally don't know him, but I've heard about him from Athena, former Servant of Ares and the Devil of Sparta. Scarface." Odysseus continued to smile.
"Scarface?" Gorgon repeats his name.
"I didn't think I'd find you here on these forgotten islands. Anyway this does explain some things."
"My lord, this was all his doing?"
"That's right. Since this was all him, I'll take his head and we'll be on our way."
Odysseus grabbed his double edged spear and headed towards Scarface.
"When I give the signal, you all rush and take him down." Odysseus paused long enough to instruct his men.
"Yes, my Lord."
Odysseus pointed his spear at Scarface in challenge.
"Come forward. Let's see what you're capable of, Assassin." Odysseus challenged.
Scarface just tilted his head to the side a bit and then casually walked towards Odysseus.
Athena Servant Lancer, Odysseus vs Gorgon Servant Assassin, Scarface
"Glory to the Goddess Athena!" Odysseus shouted.
Shortly after a light flashed and filled him with power and was wearing a Greek helmet along with his armor. Odysseus raised his weapon in the air to taunt Scarface. Scarface pulled out his black and red glaive. Odysseus went in for several thrust attacks. Scarface simply dodged and blocked them. After one of Odysseus attacks, their weapons collide into each other. Scarface elbowed Odysseus in the gut and landed a backhand strike to his head. Odysseus stumbled backward after taking those two blows. He wiped some blood off his face and looked at Scarface with a grin.
"Heh, you're pretty good." Odysseus complimented.
Odysseus attacks with a combination of high and low attacks followed by mid attacks.
*Clang*Clash*Clang*Clang*Clash*Clang*Clang*Clash*Clang*
Odysseus charged in for a thrust but Scarface redirected his thrust and swept him off his feet. Odysseus landed on his back hard. He looked up to see Scarface patiently waiting for him to get up. Odysseus gets back onto his feet and raised his weapon up. An icy glow surrounded it. He swung his weapon, launching two icy projectiles at Scarface. Scarface blocked the incoming projectiles. Odysseus charged in with his spear.
*Clang*Clash*Clang*Clang*Clash*Clang*Clang*Clash*Clang*
The two were slowly moving closer to where Gorgon was being held. Odysseus swung his spear low and high. Scarface blocked the attack and went mid attack. Odysseus barely dodged the attack as part of his midsection and armor was cut open. Odysseus raised his spear, the icy glow reappearing around the tip. He twirled his spear around then slammed it into the ground. Multiple large ice spikes came out of the ground and surrounded Scarface. Odysseus leapt back on top of the boulder behind Gorgon and launched several ice projectiles.
"Now!" Odysseus shouted.
While Scarface was blocking the ice projectiles from Odysseus the icy pillars went into the ground and Odysseus's men charged in and threw a few nets at Scarface. A couple other men pulled the net, sweeping Scarface off his feet. Odysseus fired off a few more icy projectiles on the edge of the net to pin Scarface. The men cheered and raised their weapons in the air.
Gorgon remained silent as she observed what would happen next. While they were cheering, Scarface used his wrist blades to cut the net and impale a soldier in the head. Scarface kicked up to his feet and impaled another soldier. Drawing his plasma caster, he shot at the boulder Odysseus was standing on. The explosion knocked several soldiers and Odysseus off their feet. A few soldiers quickly got back to their feet and charged towards Scarface. He grabbed the first one by the neck and drove his wrist blade into his body with such force that it lifted him up from the ground. He cut into the soldier's rib cage and other organs then tossed him to the side. Another one came running up and Scarface back slashed him from the waist to the shoulder, sending him flying backwards.
Scarface drew a shuriken and threw it at another soldier, cutting him clean in half from torso up. The same shuriken cuts one of Gorgon's arm restraints and flies around and cuts one of her leg restraints. One of the soldiers was slowly getting up until one of Gorgon's snake hairs bit him right on the neck and ripped his throat out. The guard attempted to run but Gorgon threw one of the chains around his neck and pulled him back.
Scarface is still dealing with Odysseus' men. He grabbed one soldier by the neck and pinned him against a near boulder. Another soldier ran towards Scarface. Scarface cut his hand off, grabbed the severed hand still holding the sword and cut down the soldier. The other soldier still being held up by the neck was turning blue. Scarface activated his wrist blades, cut him in half and tossed him to the side. Odysseus charged in to settle things with Scarface. Scarface kicked up his glaive and grabbed it. Odysseus went on the offense with multiple thrusts. Scarface parried the incoming attacks and countered with quick attacks of his own that cut up Odysseus. Scarface followed up by placing his glaive in between Odysseus legs, tossing him in the air and followed up with a hard kick.
Odysseus, dazed a bit, got back up and Scarface now went on the offense. Twirling his glaive, he followed up with two reverse strikes and a strong slash that knocked Odysseus off his feet. He got back up to engage Scarface again. Scarface went for a thrust and Odysseus barely parried the attack however Scarface followed up with a quick reverse strike that landed in Odysseus's side. Scarface pulled his blade out and twirl while Odysseus stumbled a bit. More of Odysseus' men came to interfere. Scarface cut them down one by one. Odysseus powered up his spear and launched two icy projectiles at Scarface. Scarface grabbed one soldier by the neck and used him as a shield. The soldier turned to ice and Scarface tossed him to the side. Odysseus continued to throw more icy projectiles. Scarface ran towards Odysseus with inhuman speed.
Odysseus prepared to slam his spear into the ground but Scarface stopped him by grabbing his spear followed by a punch to the gut and the head. After delivering those two strikes, Scarface tossed Odysseus. Odysseus landed on his wounded side which aggravated his wound more. He looked around him and, seeing a sword from one of his fallen soldiers, picked it up to continue his fight with Scarface. He swung his sword but Scarface caught his wrist and crushed it. Scarface back slashed Odysseus, knocking him to the helmet come off and rolls to the side. Scarface picked Odysseus up by the neck, his feet dangling in the air.
"Heh, you're pretty good." Voice mimic Odysseus.
Scarface drew his wrist blades and prepared to deliver the killing blow.
"Stop!" Gorgon order Scarface.
Scarface and Odysseus looked over in Gorgon's direction.
"Release me. I need to return the favor for his hospitality. I'll be the one to take his life." Gorgon stated.
Scarface looked at Gorgon, then back at Odysseus still prepared to kill him.
"You dare to disobey me? I command you to release me!" Gorgon commanded Scarface while making a fist. Gorgon's fist was covered by a crimson mana aura.
A crimson aura surrounded Scarface and his body began to move on its own. He looked back at Gorgon and roared at her while resisting. *Predator roar SFX* Scarface look at her and threw a shuriken at her remaining restraints, toss Odysseus near her. She now had one completely free limb. Gorgon's snake hair tried to bite Odysseus on the neck but he quickly pulled out a small dagger and stabbed the snake. Odysseus stumbled back to his ship. Gorgon's other snake hairs removed the bandage covering her eyes and she slowly stood up. The crimson aura disappeared and Scarface could move on his own again.
"Finish off the remaining men while I deal with him." Gorgon order.
Scarface walks up to Gorgon and grabs her by the neck and lifts her up effortlessly. Gorgon her best to hold on. Scarface brings her in face to face and moves her head slowly to the left and slowly to the right. Scarface noticed the new wounds on her face and spots Odysseus who was stumbling away. He sets her down while still holding her neck. Gorgon and Scarface stared each other down. Odysseus' men came charging in at them. Scarface pushes her back in Odysseus' direction and turns around to face off the remaining men. Scarface activates his wrist blades.
Odysseus' ship was in sight and so he began to head forward until a chain wrapped around his neck. He looked back to see Gorgon. Gorgon pulled back on the chain causing Odysseus to fall on his back. Gorgon walked over to stomp on the wound from his fight with Scarface. Odysseus let out a bloody grunt. Gorgon smiles and laughs sadistically as she continues to stomp on Odysseus. Gorgon kicks Odysseus towards his ship.
Odysseus continued toward the ship and more soldiers headed down the ramp and a few on deck drew their bow. Scarface, not too far from Gorgon, saw the other soldiers coming from the ship. He saw the soldiers with the bows aiming down on Gorgon. Scarface activated his plasma caster, charged up and fired it at them. *Predator targeting SFX* The archers had no time to react as they were set on fire upon being hit. The other men charged towards Gorgon.
Gorgon activated her mystic eyes and turned them to stone. She walked past them and boarded the ship. After she used her mystic eyes and giving Scarface a direct command that too a lot of mana, she held her head a bit since the eyes use a lot of mana and she still wasn't fully recovered yet. Gorgon looked around for Odysseus. She walked past a large ring that has a small statue of Athena on it. Gorgon continued to search for Odysseus. She passed the sail and above her was Odysseus armed with a spear. He hadn't been found yet and now was the moment to ambush her. Odysseus leapt off the beam towards Gorgon. Just as he was within range, Gorgon turned around and grabbed Odysseus with her free arm.
"I don't need eyes to know where you are." Gorgon grinned at Odysseus.
Odysseus stabbed Gorgon in the leg and she threw him into a pole in the middle of the ship. He bounced off the pole to land face down on the ground. A bloody mess, Odysseus pulled out a large coin and began chanting something. The words on the large coin lit up brightly and slowly began to fade out. After Odysseus finished his chant Gorgon's snake hairs bit into his kneecaps and elbows and lifted him up to face him towards Gorgon. Odysseus dangled helplessly.
"May you rot in the depths of Hades for eternity." Odysseus muttered.
Gorgon leaned in towards Odysseus.
"Athena first." Gorgon replied.
Gorgon jammed her monstrous hand through Odysseus's lower rib, grabbed his heart and pulled it out. *Heartbeat SFX* Gorgon held his still beating heart in front of him and crushed it.
"Glory to Athena…."
She tossed Odysseus' dead body to the side and prepared to leave when she noticed the large ring on the ship and most of the letters were not lit up.
Scarface finished off the remaining soldiers. He looked at the ship Gorgon was on and saw the large ring counting down. Scarface knew it was a countdown of some kind and rushed over. The countdown finished and exploded shortly after.*Ka Boom SFX* The explosion blasted Gorgon off the ship and into the water along with large debris from the ship. Gorgon began to sink to the bottom of the ocean. Scarface searched for Gorgon. It was difficult to locate her with all the fires in the area.
Finally, he spotted her heat signature in water falling. It was Gorgon but she wasn't moving. Scarface took a running start and leapt towards the ship that hadn't sunk yet. After he landed on a large chunk of the ship. He relocated Gorgon's position and saw she was farther down now. Scarface dived into the ocean to retrieve Gorgon. While making his descent, the seal on Scarface began to flash red, indicating that Gorgon's life was in danger. Scarface picked up his pace while descending. Gorgon finally came into his view however she was covered in cuts and bruises along with the spear wound on her leg. Scarface picked her up and headed for the surface.
Early Evening
Scarface emerged to the surface while carrying Gorgon out the ocean. He looked up at the moon and then at Gorgon
"Hahaha. I promise you a night to remember baby, didn't I?" Voice Mimic Bruno
*Ocean waves SFX* Once he reached land, he set her down on the ground. The seal was still flashing. He examined her closer while on one knee. He removed the broken spear from her leg and gave her a palm strike to the chest. Gorgon spit out the sea water and coughed. *Coughing and Gasping for air SFX* The seal stops flashing and Gorgon's life is no longer in danger.
"You stupid Servant, what took you so long!" Gorgon shouted and hit Scarface in the chest with the arm that was still partially chained.
Gorgon looked around to check her surroundings. *Predator crackling noise* Gorgon turned her attention to Scarface who was still kneeling down next to her while scanning the area.
"Tell me something, Scarface." Gorgon had a serious expression.
Scarface looked at Gorgon.
"Did you use me in the manner that Athena's Servant mentioned?" Gorgon asked Scarface.
Scarface nodded his head up and down. Gorgon was furious and pounced on Scarface.
"You stupid, ungrateful Servant! How dare you use me, your Master, in such a manner!" Gorgon shouted at Scarface.
She balled up a fist with her unchained arm and aimed to punch him. Scarface grabbed her wrist.
"Don't resist and hold still, while I thrash some discipline in you! You ungrateful excuse of a Servant!" Gorgon readied her other fist.
"Hahaha." Bruno voice mimic.
Scarface grabbed Gorgon and reverses their positions.
"Let go of me! Get off me! Stupid Servant!" Gorgon continued complaining.
*Ocean wave SFX*
After moving around a bit Gorgon felt the pain from all her wounds catch up to her and she gradually moved around less. Scarface held Gorgon down until she calmed down. Once she calmed down, Scarface got up and moved towards the restraints on her ankles and took a knee. Scarface grabbed the restraints, looked at Gorgon then activated his wrist blades and cut the lock on it. While Scarface worked on the other restraint, Gorgon was reflecting on recent events up to where they were now.
"Thinking back on the situation, I wasn't exactly in the best condition to fight and I probably should not have robbed him of his kill. In addition we were greatly outnumbered. He must have known they would target me and used that to his advantage? Perhaps he understood the situation better. I still would not have agreed to the method he chose unless absolutely necessary. Still, he got us out of a dire situation." Gorgon pondered and looked at Scarface who was making his way to the restraint on Gorgon's arm.
Scarface grabbed Gorgon's wrist and removed the lock on it. He grabbed the chain that's connected to her neck and tugged at it before cutting it off. Scarface sat there looking at Gorgon like he was waiting on something from Gorgon. Gorgon proudly turned her head and eyes away from him.
*Ocean wave SFX*
"Hmph. I'll overlook you putting your hands on your Goddess since I rob you of your kill. You must understand. I could not let him get away with how he humiliated me. Consider us even." Gorgon stated.
"Consider us even." voice mimic Gorgon
"I'll admit that you are a capable Servant since you were able to get us through that situation." Gorgon stated.
"Hahaha." Bruno voice mimic.
Gorgon slowly raised her arm and grabbed the bottom of Scarface's mask and looked him in the eyes.
"However, should we find ourselves in a situation like this again. You will not put your Master's life in danger like you just did." Gorgon looked directly at Scarface.
Scarface turned his head away but Gorgon pulled it back in her direction.
"Hey! Unless I permit it. Understand?"
"Hahaha. I promise you a night to remember baby, didn't I?" Bruno voice mimic.
"No. I promise you Gorgon." Gorgon calmly stated.
"I promise you Gorgon." Voice mimic Gorgon
"Hmph. I'll hold you to that, Scarface." Gorgon replied.
Gorgon, still holding on to Scarface, took a moment to examine him a little closer. She probe him from top bottom.
"Whatever he is, he is clearly not human. He does not have the hatred for me like the humans do. I should try to put a little more trust and faith him." Gorgon thought to herself.
Gorgon continue to probe him.
"Scarface." Gorgon saying his name.
Evening time was settled in and the temperature was also dropping.
"We'll need to find shelter for the night. My temple would be most suited however we are far away from it. Once we get to the temple, we'll need to find a way off the island somehow." Gorgon pointed out.
Scarface was looking for the island that Gorgon's temple was on.
"Unless you have some way to get us there." Gorgon looked at Scarface.
Scarface headed to where Gorgon was sitting. She looked up at him.
"Did you find something?" Gorgon asked.
Scarface does not say anything and just picked Gorgon up without warning.
"You fool! What in Hades are you doing? Put me down this instant!" Gorgon shouted at Scarface.
Scarface ignored her and played something back. A light flash and they found themselves on another ship that was docked on the island. Gorgon was amazed at the distance they traveled.
"How did we manage to travel so far?" Gorgon asked, looking around.
Scarface showed her two coins that were still glowing after being used. The gold coins that only Athena's followers would carry. Gorgon examined the gold coins for a moment. Scarface leap off the ship and headed towards Gorgon's temple. Gorgon held on so that she wouldn't fall off. On the way up, Gorgon noticed how surprisingly warm it was when it should have been cooler. Once they reached the top, they headed inside the temple. After taking shelter inside, Scarface set Gorgon down. She attempted to get up but Scarface stopped her She still was not completely recovered yet. Gorgon decided to take time and rest. Scarface went to the edge from where they fell earlier and looked into the dark . He turned back briefly to see Gorgon resting before leaping off the cliff.
Sparta, Former temple of Ares Night time
Scarface returned to Sparta with Gorgon and he used the temple at the top of the cliff as a base camp. After Ares became king, it seemed the blessing of a God in Sparta was gone. The city had no god anymore and Gorgon woke up to find herself in an unfamiliar environment. After recovering a bit from her injuries she got up and walked around the area. She found a set of stairs leading to the roof. Scarface was looking down at the city as it had become more violent since the last time he was here.
Scarface, alerted to Gorgon's presence, casually put his mask back on. Gorgon joined Scarface on the rooftop. She looked down at the town, marveling at the crowds after being a long time isolated from others.
"Where are we?" Gorgon asked, looking at Scarface.
Scarface activated his comsat and a projection of the solar system appeared and zoomed in to planet Earth. Gorgon was just speechless at what she was seeing. The projection zoomed in to their current position.
"Sparta. Sparta." Voice mimic
"Sparta? This must be one of Ares' temples then." Gorgon looked down from the roof and saw a broken down statue that once belonged to Ares.
"It was his temple." Gorgon smirked.
Gorgon smiled at the thought of making the people suffer in some sort of way.
"Now my Servant Scarface, go into town and slaughter the humans. Make them suffer." Gorgon, pointing at the town, ordering to go.
Scarface looked at the group of humans Gorgon was pointing at in town. They were mostly women and children passing by and not a threat to anyone. Scarface just shook his head.
"You dare to disobey, again?" Gorgon draws her snake hair.
*Predator growl SFX*
Scarface drew his plasma caster and laser. He motioned with his finger downward telling her "to put her snake hair away."
"Know this servant. I hate humans for their unjust resentment of me." Gorgon glared at Scarface.
They stared each other down for a bit. Both have their own way of thinking of how to handle things. Gorgon simply slaughtered all her prey whomever came searching for her. Scarface hunted for prey using a variety of methods. One side is some what a native of these lands and the other is not. Gorgon's hatred for humans could present problems if not handled correctly. Scarface needed to find a solution soon. What they have in common is an enemy they both wish to destroy but it will be no simple matter.
Scarface knew they could not just go around killing whoever they pleased. All that would do is make things more difficult for them. They needed to approach this problem in a different manner. In addition, both of their lives are intertwined together, so it would be in their best interest to get along if they want to see this through. Scarface powered down his plasma caster and turned his attention back to the town due to the noise of a small group of people heading towards the temple.
The group turned out to be armed gang members and they were chasing Medea. Medea also appeared to have been wounded after being in a conflict with the gang. Medea tried to outrun them, but the gang was closing in on Medea.
Scarface motioned for her to "come here" and pointed out the group of armed people.
"Tsk. Are you going to let them go too?" Gorgon asked while crossing her arms.
"Hahaha." Bruno voice mimic.
"Just sit back and enjoy." Baby Blue voice mimic.
Scarface walked off and Gorgon watched from above as the gang member took Medea into the temple.
Inside the temple
The gang brought Medea inside and bound her hands together. The inside of the temple was dark and spacious. The only light came for the torches two men carried.
"Hello Medea, you're a hard person to get in contact with these days." Gang Enforcer Diego.
"Not hard enough." Medea replied.
"Come on Medea we just wanted to talk and make you an offer."
"Talk? Showing up out of nowhere, shooting at me and chasing me around town just to make me an offer?"
"Well, we couldn't have you use that so-called magic or whatever they call it."
"!"
Elsewhere in the darkness Scarface descended down to the main hall with his camouflage active.
"Our fearless leader wishes to make use of your skills, since it would benefit him greatly in his pursuit to take over this city."
"He has need of my skills? Your offer is quite questionable. If he is able to take countermeasures against my magic, why bother?" Medea asked.
"Look, I don't ask questions about what he wants. I just get it for him."
"I can see that."
"Anyway, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Your choice."
"I'd rather die than work for that scum."
"So that's your answer. Alright then. We take you back and use other persuasive methods. You'll come around eventually."
Diego continued rambling. Medea wished they had waited until they took her back to start the torture. The man's voice was starting to give her a pounding headache.
"Our leader really believes in that magical stuff. But you know what I really think. Shit happens." Diego laughed.
Another gang member was also laughing and turned around for a moment. He stopped laughing after he noticed something on his chest. Three red dots appeared on him. Medea turned her head for a moment and barely saw three red lines in the darkness.

Temple Main Hall
One by one Scarface picked them off. One gang member had his bow ready and was searching for the enemy in the dark while covering his comrades. The other gang members tried to run for the exit while taking Medea with them and to get reinforcements. The next moment one of their comrades' bodies was thrown by some invisible force into the door, blocking their exit. Medea fell to the ground next to one of the fallen torches. Everyone watched a metallic spear begin to decloak and appear before them. The remaining members turned around to face the intruder in the dark. Medea began to have a bad feeling about what's going on, much like the encounter with the man eating bear in the forest.
Some time later
After the last member died, Medea was the last one left. The torch went out, leaving her surroundings completely dark. She heard the sound of a body dropped to the floor. Medea shot a small mana beam in that direction. She briefly saw a large muscular humanoid before it disappeared into the dark. Medea, holding her fear back, slowly walked in the direction she last saw the humanoid. After not finding anything she slowly turned around and Scarface decloaked in front of her and picked Medea up by the neck with feet far off the ground. Medea was speechless and terrified as to what sort of creature this was in front of her. She remembered the talk around town some time ago along with her encounter in the forest and then looked at Scarface.
"The Demon of Sparta." Medea uttered.
"Hahaha." Bruno's voice mimics.
"If he is the one that puts everyone on edge, then perhaps I could make use of that." Medea thought to herself.
Medea felt a warm light scan her body.
*Thermal Vision*
*Scanning SFX….*
Scan Complete
No armor detected
Wounded
Scarface looked at her for a bit and let her go, leaving Medea gasping for air. He prepared to walk off.
"What are you doing!" Gorgon shouted at Scarface.
Gorgon remained out of sight. She saw Scarface leaving Medea.
"Why is she still alive?" Gorgon again shouted at Scarface.
Scarface slowly looked back at Medea.
"Wait. Wait. I'm not your enemy." Medea explained.
"Oh, let her speak." Gorgon commanded.
"As long as these gangs are alive here in Sparta, they will keep coming after me. Once they find out about both of you, they won't stop hunting for you. Especially you Demon of Sparta." Medea explained.
