Chapter Twenty-Four
Bringing It All Together
Things were weird for Tsuna.
Even a month after everything had happened.
Ever since he had woken up from being poisoned by his own mother, he wasn't sure what was happening at home anymore.
Reborn kept Nana from getting too close.
Harry refused to let her cook any food for Tsuna.
Bianchi always took any drinks meant for Tsuna and drank them herself while someone else would get him a drink.
Tsuna couldn't really blame any of them for doing this, especially after he was almost fully healed from the poison, only to learn that there were still side effects. He twitched sporadically and randomly. He would fall randomly as feeling left his legs completely at random periods of time. He drooled excessively almost all of the time now as well, having to either spit or swallow to avoid drooling like a rabid dog. There were other minor set backs but those were the ones that annoyed Tsuna the most and something he would have to deal with.
He was lucky that Harry was able to get a sample of the potion used on him and taken to a Potions Master to be looked at, but apparently, this was something no one had ever seen. He wasn't sure if they could find a cure that would fix all of the side effects or even if they would be with him the rest of his life.
It was annoying.
Especially when his mother tried to continue to speak with him after everything that happened.
He refused.
He refused to talk with his mother.
Refused to talk on the phone with his father.
And refused to meet his grandfather and uncles that were apparently wizards.
He apparently was half wizard.
Just another thing that had been hidden from him almost all of his life and something he would have to deal with now.
He swears that if he gets a brother from another woman or something, he was going to blow an absolute fuse and just quite with life. There'd be no reason to keep going when surprises were just going to keep happening to him like this. He wasn't going to keep dealing with shit like this.
He gave a huff from his place in the front yard, transformed in his wolf form and sun bathing happily. Even if his legs were to go numb in this form, he could just relax nad be calm until they came back. Even his twitching and drooling in this form could be forgiven.
It helped that Reborn was also transformed and wrapped around him, protecting him from the view from within the house, another source of warmth that kept him safe. The other didn't even blink when Tsuna would twitch against him or get drool on him. He would just reach over occasionally and clean him up or reposition slightly to better accommodate.
'I'm really tired of this.' He thought as he turned so he could curl his body into Reborn's stomach, hiding his face into the thick black fur. 'I wish your Flames would make it leave already.'
'I know, but we've done sessions that have shown no improvement. We'll just have to wait and see.' The hitman reached down and licked along the others head, smoothing some of the wild fur down. 'If it doesn't, we'll work around it and find ways to make it easier to live with.' He already had plans on working the teen through some exercises, ones that would force him to work through the numbness and the twitching. There was no point in making him the best mafia boss if he couldn't work through his disadvantages.
Tsuna huffed but said nothing more as he relaxed, ignoring the explosions and shouts that came from his house, his family and friends chaotic as always.

"What the fuck!" Harry just about screamed as he threw another potions book off to the side, glaring at it heavily.
"Mr. Potter, I know you are frustrated, but that doesn't mean you can take it out on my books!" Madame Pince scowled at the grown man that gave a huff. "Now, if you can't treat them kindly, you can leave."
"Sorry Madame Pince." He said and bowed his head to the librarian. She gave him a narrowed eyed glare before nodding and walking away. "I can't find anything to help him." Harry grumbled as he picked the book back up and returned it to the pile of books they were going through.
"Well, just looking at this mess of a potion, I'm not surprised." Hermione gave an irritated huff of her own. "This is such a mess, I'm surprised this didn't blow up in her face when she made it in the first place. The wolfsbane normally reacts violently with moonstone."
"Must've timed it just right." Ron grumbled from his own place with a book. "The ingredients in this potions, it's a bastardized version of wolfsbane. Incredibly bastardized. Only an idiot would even try and brew this."
"Or someone desperate." Ginny gave a huff as she flipped a page in the book. "Do you think she was that desperate to change her kid back that she was willing to kill herself?" She pushed the book away and leaned heavily back into her chair.
"Many mothers would do things to let their children live relatively normal lives." Luna lazily turned the page of her quibbler, radish earrings swinging back and forth rapidly. "Though normal is a rather strange term and changes depending on the person."
"The point is that she made it, gave it to my pup, and now he's suffering from side effects that nothing we've done has even relieved them." Harry growled as he paced aggressively. Even trying to feed him moonwart hasn't helped, which we were hoping to even out the effects of the potion." He really wanted to tear that woman's throat out.
"Which wouldn't work." Hermione huffed at him. "It would have to be in a potion to try and do that, but we can't really give him everything as all the ingredients we could even try and counter would react badly now after he ingested aconite in the first place."
"At least we know that much. Along with moonstone, myrrh, and then she added in marshmallow root, lavender, porcupine quills, hellebore, and Arnica." Ginny read off the ingredients. "Marshmallow root to calm irritation, lavender to calm and relax, and Arnica to try and help heal bones. IT doesn't even sound like she was trying to cure him of being a wolf."
"No…." Hermione agreed as she suddenly had a look in her eye that sent Harry and Ron straight to her side. "No, it really doesn't sound like she was trying to cure him at all, does it?" She rubbed at her chin in thought as she pulled the list to her.
"Those ingredients almost sound like she was just trying to prevent it." Ron stated from her side, hand on her shoulder as he looked at the list in front of her. "Even the moonstone is more to calm a person than to heal them."
"But what are you thinking Hermione?" Harry questioned as he looked at her. "Can you tell what in this is causing my pup to suffer these side effects?" he knew that Tsuna was suffering from it as well. The pup was irritated almost all the time now and would hardly anyone asides from Reborn or Harry near him. Almost always in his wolf form, growling at anyone that came near him.
His pup was unhappy and there was hardly anything he could do about it.
"What happens when someone fights against relaxing, or even their entire countenance is almost always fighting against relaxing in anyway?" She questions as she leans back in her chair, dragging the list with her so she could keep looking at them.
"Um…well…I guess they get agitated?" Ginny offers unsure. This wasn't something most of them knew about or even understood. "Maybe they'll stand there and be numb or something?"
"Canceling out each emotion would be rather expected." Luna says dreamily as she looked up from the quibbler. "Like opposites attracting, they would knock the other out and prevent a reaction." She nodded as she looked towards Hermione.
"That is one thought, yes." Hermione agrees before putting the paper down. "This potion, though it has aspects of Wolfsbane, it has even more aspects of a calming potion." She pulled a book over to her and opened it up.
"Powdered moonstone is a rather common ingredient in any healing or calming potions, as are porcupine quills. The ingredients here are actually very similar to the Draught of Peace."
"Oh, hey, yeah, it does look like that." Ron agrees as he reads over the ingredients. "It even has Hellebore here as well."
"The Draught of Peace is like a coma though." Harry's brows furrowed in thought. "You think maybe she was trying to get the wolf in Tsuna to sleep, maybe?"
"Or to get it to relax where it wouldn't be able to come out." Hermione said as she looked up at the others. "I think she was trying to get the wolf to relax, to become inert and unusable in all sense of the words. Useless basically." She rubbed at her eyes. "But from what you've told me about Tsuna and what I've seen about him, it seems like he's naturally anxious and always worked up in some way."
"Pretty much. Kid screams more than anyone I've ever met, and that's saying something since we all know Filch." Harry gave a shrug at the snickers sent his way. "I haven't really seen him truly relax unless he's asleep or in the middle of a healing sessions with his guardians." Kid was even anxious when it was just him and Reborn.
"One of the many things that calming draughts do is relax a person, especially if they're in a panic attack or have a bad reaction to something in their environment." Hermione went on to explain. "It's supposed to relax their minds and their bodies."
"Except for those who are more prone to being anxious." Ginny butts in with understanding in her eyes. "Regularly anxious or agitated individuals tend to react negatively to the potion. They'll jerk randomly and some of them even drool!" She shouts in excitement, ignoring Madame Pince's grumbling at the volume. The school hadn't reopened yet so she couldn't really be mad at them for being a little loud.
"Those are two of the symptoms that Tsuna has!" Harry exclaims in his own excitement. "So does that mean there are ways to treat the symptoms then?"
"Yes, there is." Hermione pulls another book forward, this one about healing potions and charms that they had grabbed out of desperation. "Generally the herbs that are used are ones that relax the body and tries to get it to heal by activating cells." She explains calmly. "But when the person's general disposition is one that's always agitated and ready for a fight, their magic will fight against the potions, some worse than others."
"Which means your pup has quite the disposition." Luna adds on with that wistful smile one her face. "Very much willing to fight for his strength and willfulness than others."
"Yes, so we'll have to use an opposing potion. An excitement potion I think will do just the trick." Hermione explained as she flipped through the medicinal potions book. Let's see, I don't think we'll need anything too complicated, a simple pepper up potion should be fine." She explained as she turned to said potion.
"You think Madam Pomfrey has any?" Harry questioned as he tapped his cheek in thought.
"Think she'll give it to you without something in return?" Ron raised a brow at his friend. "Especially since you've been avoiding her and a checkup that she's been wanting to give you since you got back here?"
"Don't even!" He pointed a clawed finger at the red head with a snarl on his face. "If you think for one second that I'm going to be the one to go and get that pepper up potion when there's several of you that aren't on her shit list…."
"Oh, but why would we ask for anything like that?" Hermione sent a smile his way. "We don't have any real connection to Tsuna, not to mention we're all in great health, we have no reason to go and see Madame Pomfrey." She stood up and began to pack the books up to be put away.
"Ron?" Harry turned to his best friend with a pout and big ole puppy eyes.
"Sorry Harry, but I gotta help Hermione put all of this away." He said with a smirk as he too picked up books to put away.
Before he even had a chance to turn to them, Ginny and Luna were standing up from the table. "Sorry Harry, we've got our own meeting that we've gotta go and deal with." Ginny grabbed Luna's hand and gave the male a wink, disappearing with a whimsical smile on Luna's own face, cheeks dusted with pink.
Harry just wilted at the end, giving a long and low whine for a long moment.

"You can't ignore me forever Tsu-kun." Nana sighed as she looked at the teen, laying on the couch, covered in blankets, and with Reborn settled at his feet reading a book. "We need to talk about several serious things."
"Like how my mother is a…." he paused as he swallowed back drool, "witch, lied to me like my father, and then tried to murder me?"
"Don't forget your grandfather is apparently the emperor of the Japanese wizarding world." Reborn licked his finger and turned a page of his book without even looking up.
Tsuna gave a huff at that, sputtering as drool slipped down his face. "That too." He muttered a moment later.
"I know I kept a lot from you, but I wasn't apart of the wizarding world for a very long time. Before you were even born." She explained with a sigh, walking over to stand in front of him fully and then kneeling onto the floor so she could look into his amber glowing eyes. "I was never going to go back to that life."
"You poisoned me." Tsuna snapped, ignoring the drool that was falling off of his fangs. "Because of something that was forced on me!"
Nana gave a tired sigh as she rubbed at her face, obvious that this was eating at her, but Tsuna wasn't intent on forgiving her anytime soon. She had pretty much pulled the same shit as his dad. This was absolute bullshit in his complete and utter opinion. "I did it to save you Tsu-kun, or….at least I thought I was." She gave a sigh before twisting her fingers together. "I didn't want you to go to that island."
"Or was it because I'm a werewolf?" He spat, ignoring how Nana had to wipe spit off of her face afterwards. "A freak that could attack you at any moment!" which wasn't anything knew in his life. A weak, little, dame that couldn't do anything right. He could never get a good grade, wasn't good at sports, and everyone hated him.
Adding on Mafia heir and now werewolf wasn't helping him in life at all. It was just making everything worse.
"Oh, Tsu-kun, you aren't a freak." She cooed out as she reached a hand out to touch him, only to pull back when he flinched away. "You're not a freak Tsu-kun." She assured gently as she continued to coo at him. "I've never thought of you as a freak."
"Just a loser. A waste of time or space. Useless." Tsuna spat as his anger began to boil over as his entire body gave on large flinch, his legs kicking out at Reborn's thighs. "A useless son." He growled out at the end.
The woman looked like she was about to pass out, her face had paled completely, her hands shaking as she held them out to her son. "I never…I didn't mean to…." She stuttered out, trying to figure out a way to fix this whole thing.
"Doesn't matter." Tsuna muttered as he rolled so he could face the couch, his feet still kicking at Reborn but the older man didn't seem to mind, still reading his book. "It's the same shit again and again. Both you and dad really are made for each other."
He ignored her even as she continued to try and speak with him, but he wasn't having it. He was done with her and his father.
Truly negligent parents that were made in hell, just for each other.

Harry looked around the corner, eyes narrowed as he watched the room for a very long time, before slowly moving forward.
Tentative steps and slow careful breathing. He wasn't interested in getting caught. Not in the particular area and not by this particular area. So he was making sure that he was staying slow and silent. He didn't want to make any noise that would catch that old woman's attention.
So slow and steady.
He wasn't even gonna use any magic because he knew that would just alert her. She had gotten even scarier since she's gone blind. He preferred her when she wasn't.
Either way, it didn't matter, he just needed to go nice and slow. He knew exactly where the potions cabinet was, so it would be easy enough to go and find what he needed. Especially as he had taken Pepper up potion several times in the past, always sickly as a child due to malnourishment and abuse.
So now it was time to nab some so he could help his pup heal completely, so that he could return to his life and return to full health.
Maybe he would take the pup on an actual vacation. One where they weren't attacked or had to fight for their lives or watch a guardian die. It was something they really needed to do. Just get away from the troubles that was mafia and wizarding life.
He huffed.
He froze completely, only two steps away from the cabinet.
His strained his ears as he looked around him, trying to find the Madame, that way he could escape the moment she appeared. He wasn't going to risk being held at her wand point, as she was worse than any villain he had faced in the past.
He didn't see her and he didn't smell her, even several moments later. There was no movement and he stopped and took a deep breath to calm himself.
A hand slammed onto his shoulder.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Mr. Potter to come and see me in my infirmary." Madame Pomfrey tutted into his ear.
Harry gave a long whine as he realized he was caught.

"I…I don't know what to make of this." Lussuria said as he stared down at the gigantic black wolf that was lawing on the floor in front of the throne like chair. "The boss…."
"Tch, the shitty boss is a fucking wolf now, deal with it." Squalo huffed as he settled against the wall nearest his boss, keeping an eye on him. "Fucker got bit by that damned hitman of the mini boss, turned him."
"So…what are we doing now then?" Fran questioned with a tilt of his head, having been picked up by Mammon for a mission. "Do we get to pet him or give him doggy treats?"
"You'll treat the boss with respect that he deserves!" Levi screamed at the teen, all but snarling in indignance. "It doesn't matter if he's a wolf or a trash can! He's the best of us no matter what!"
A growl echoed through the room, all eyes turning to stare at the bloody gaze of their boss, who was looking at them all like they were idiots.
They were, but really, to see that look on a wolf was rather intimidating and weird.
"Shishishishishishishi!" Belphegor couldn't help but hold a hand up to his face as he laughed hard at his boss. "He's so scary still."
"Either way, can you turn back to a human already, we've got a shit ton of fucks to talk about." Squalo said as he walked over to the wolf, standing over top of it. "Fucking Cloud sent a message and you've got shit to deal with you crappy boss."
The wolf growled before standing up and then fully changing. "Fuck off you shitty shark." Xanxus growled as he stood over his second in command.
"Put some clothes on." Mammon sighed as they looked away from their completely naked boss.
"Whoa, I knew boss had a huge ego, but I thought he was just compensating." Fran stated as he tilted his head to take in his boss fully.
Levi was completely knocked out on the floor as Lussuria giggled and blushed like a school girl, Belphegor had looked away some time ago and was too focused on his glass of wine.
"Fuck, we've got too much to discuss! Get fucking dressed and I'll tell you what that Shitty Cloud sent." He smirked at his boss as he thought over the message. "Seems you've really got worked up on that Cloud of yours, so you're going to suffer the consequences of your own fucking actions." All he could do was smirk at his boss still.
Xanxus scowled but said no more as he stalked across the hotel room in search of his clothes. Apparently whatever the message was, it was most likely important. Better to find out now before something bad happened.

"Hey, I'm back!" Harry called as he entered into the Sawada household, for once it being rather calm and quiet. "Tsuna! Are you here?" He called as he walked over to the living room where the teen tended to be if he wasn't in the front yard sunbathing with Reborn, which he wasn't.
"Yeah." Comes a rather despondent teen's voice from said couch, bundled up in a blanket, and Reborn at the end reading a book. There was no signs of any of the kids or other teens in the house, even Nana wasn't there for once.
"Where is everyone? Normally I can't walk in here without some sort of fight going on." He muses as he moves to stand in front of where he assumes the teen's head is.
"Bianchi and Nana took them all out." Reborn spoke up, flicking a look up at the Cloud Guardian. "Tsuna told Nana what he finally thought so she's taken to ignoring him and working with the other children. Good riddance at this point." He turned back to his book, flipping a page.
Harry raised a brow as he recognized several plants that were used in poisons and cures. Obviously the hitman was looking for a cure himself. "I see, well, not like you need her anyways. We've got you covered in the mother hen department." He assured as he reached down and pulled the blanket back to reveal a head of messy brown hair. "Hey there pup, sorry I've been gone for so long."
Tsuna pouted up at the older wolf with a whine, a hand twitching even as it reached out to him. "It's fine, you're back now." They ignored the whining and tears bristling along the edges of his eyes. Both knew the teen was upset but there was very little they could do since it was for a good cause.
Harry took the shaking hand with a smile of his own before rearranging the pup so that he was now settled on Harry's lap like an actual baby, still cocooned in blankets to help stop the fidgeting. The teen huffed as he buried his nose into Harry's neck, taking in his scent before scrunching up his nose in confusion. "Here, I brought something back that should fix all of these side effects that you've been suffering from." Harry held out the bottle to the teen.
Tsuna took in the crimson colored potion, brows furrowed in confusion, looking up at Harry. "What is it?" He asked, wondering if this would really help with the annoyances that was what his mother did to him. Could it fix it so he'd go back to somewhat normal?
"It's what's called a Pepper up potion in my world. "It's used to mostly recover from colds and illness, mostly by activating the body's defense and bringing to an awakened state, or warming you up." He explained as he adjusted the teen better in his lap. It was pretty obvious the teen was uncomfortable with himself at this moment. So he needed to make sure to make him feel better and just comfort him. "The potion your mother gave you was one made to relax you or calm you down, cool your body in other words. Maybe even put you or your wolf into a deep sleep."
"Hmm, so you're planning on using a potion that's the opposite of what he received." Reborn stated calmly as he looked up to see the red potion as well. "Will this reverse the affects completely or will there still be some we'll have to deal with?"
"We're not sure completely, but Hermione, the smartest and brightest witch of our age, thinks it'll reverse most of them at least. Even Madame Pomfrey couldn't assure a complete recovery from a potion that wasn't complete." Harry sighed as he remembered that conversation with the Madame. "We'll just have to have him take it and then keep an eye on him to see what goes and what stays."
The teen looked at the potion for a very long moment before sighing and holding his hand out. Harry smiled and uncorked it, handing it over for the pup to take. Tsuna could only scrunch his nose at the peppery smell before downing it completely in one go.
Reborn watched in bemusement as his little mate's face went red and steam began billowing out of his ears, sending his hair out in waves around his head. Tsuna himself was wiggling around in his cocoon as he struggled to contain the sudden heat and overwhelming need to spit out what felt like a ball of fire.
The whine escaping him made Harry frown for a moment before realizing it was just because he was in discomfort. Then he laughed as the teen began to spit out saliva and steam, shaking his head and slapping Harry in the face with it. "Hey now, it'll be done here in a moment." He assured as he rubbed at the pup's back carefully. "Just let it run its course."
The teen squirmed for another minute until the steam finally disappeared and left the teen with only a red face. "Ah, looking a little red there Tsuna." Reborn chuckled as he leaned forward so that he was in the other's face suddenly, making the Teen go even redder at the close proximity. "Hmm, I don't like the reason, why don't I change that."
With that stated, he gave a gentle press of his lips to the teen's own before leaning back and taking in the absolute scarlet of his partner. "Rebooornnnn….Not in front of mama!" He whined even as the two adults laughed at his embarrassment.
"Ah, well, its fine, its fine." Harry assured as he repositioned the teen once more, so that he was in between the two and instead of in his lap. "How do you feel after that Tsuna?" he ran a hand through the long brown hair as he waited for a response.
The teen was silent for long moments as he reorientated himself into his body once more. Having lived with the twitching and trembling for over a month now, settling into a new normal that he hated.
But now.
He didn't feel twitching or anything that was out of normal.
Swallowing, he waited for his mouth to fill up with drool once more, but nothing happened besides a normal amount. He looked down at his hands and smiled when he saw no more trembling either.
He smiled happily as he looked back up to the older wolf with utter happiness. "I'm back to normal! That's no more trembling or anything! I'm not drooling like crazy either!" He exclaimed happily as he hugged the other happily.
"That's good, its what we wanted." Harry smiled as he hugged the other back. "You might still have some side effects, so just let us know when they happen, okay." He ordered gently as he released his pup.
"Of course!" He cheered before his face turned into a curious frown instead. "Um, but…why do you smell like cinnamon, honey, and milk?" A complete change from the other's normally bright scent of a rainstorm and soft breeze.
He didn't understand the bright flush on the other's face as he pulled the pup back into his side while Reborn began chuckling off to the side.
A.N. Whooooo! I finally got another chapter done! I'm so happy! This chapter turned out so well and I'm so happy about! I hope you guys liked it just like me! I wonder what's going on….hmm….guess we'll just have to wait and find out. What a pain. Aw well, we'll survive, I'm sure.
