The sea. A realm of wonder, majesty, and mystery. For years, mankind has traveled far and wide across the ocean's surface as sailors, earning a living on the open sea. Yet beneath the waves, the blue waters are also home to countless aquatic creatures of various shapes and sizes. But the most legendary creatures of all were the merfolk or merpeople, mermaids and mermen of the sea, half-human, half-fish. The merpeople were mythical beings who appeared in folklore of many cultures worldwide. While few cultures wrongly accused them as being evil, vicious man-eaters, the merpeople were generally benevolent and peaceful with their enchantingly beautiful, melodic voices.

Over a year ago, the Keyblade Wielder, Sora, traveled to Atlantica with his friends, Donald Duck and Goofy during their journey to save the Universe from the Heartless. Here, they helped rid the underwater kingdom of an evil sea witch named Ursula, who was determined to rule Atlantica and all the oceans. They found the Keyhole, and with Sora's Keyblade, sealed it away from the Heartless. Peace had been restored to Atlantica. Now, Sora returns with best friend and fellow Keyblade Wielder, Devon, to help a little mermaid named Ariel unite the worlds of both land and sea.

Our story begins on a foggy morning out on the open Mediterranean Sea. A trio of seagulls soared through the air above the ocean, while down below, a trio of dolphins leaped up from the water, jumping from wave to wave. The dolphins soon stopped and floated on the ocean surface, chattering happily, while the seagulls flew over them, filling the ocean air with their cries. Suddenly, a huge ship sails in through the fog, causing the seagulls and dolphins to scatter and move out of the way, though they returned and watched in curiosity as the wooden vessel continues its voyage across the sea. Aboard the ship were sailors, who were happily content with their lives on the open ocean, tending to their duties whether it was securing the rigging of the sails or hoisting up nets full of fish.

(Fathom Below - Starts)

Chorus:
I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue,
And it's hey to the starboard, heave-ho.
Look out, lad, a mermaid be waiting for you,
In mysterious fathoms below.

While the sailors continued their song, a dashing young man stood at the front of the ship, holding onto a rope and gazing out at the open water with a smile as the ocean breeze blew in his face. His name Prince Eric.

Eric was an accomplished mariner and a man of royalty, a prince of a seaside kingdom. Despite his royal status, Eric had a passion for sailing, spending much of his free time out at sea, fishing, and going on explorations. He had fair skin, a muscular physique, short black hair, and light blue eyes, wearing a white, long-sleeved collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up, teal blue trousers with a red sash, and black boots with lighter blue cuffs. His shirt collar was open to the point that it revealed his clavicles.

Standing alongside him on his left was his loyal canine companion, Max, an Old English Sheepdog, who had gray and white long fur.

"Isn't this great? The salty sea air, the wind blowing in your face. Ah, perfect day to be at sea." Eric says

Max barks three times, agreeing with his owner. However, Eric's manservant wasn't as optimistic as he was leaning over the left-side of the wooden railing, suffering from seasickness. This was Grimsby or 'Grim' for short as Eric calls him.

Grimsby was the faithful guardian and confident advisor to Prince Eric, and a gentleman of a friendly, helpful nature. He had white hair tied back by a purple bowtie, dark brown eyes, a big nose, and a pointed chin, wearing a black servant's uniform with a purple shirt underneath, high gray socks, black shoes secured by a golden square buckle.

"Oh, yes. Delightful." Grimsby groans

Eric jumps down onto the main deck and helps a sailor tie down the riggings to the sails.

"A fine, strong wind and a following sea! King Triton must be in a friendly type mood!" The sailor says

"King Triton?" Eric asks with interest

An older sailor with a brown beard, handling the recently caught fish, spoke next.

"Why, ruler of the merpeople, lad. Thought every good sailor knew about him." The old sailor says

"Merpeople? Eric, pay no attention to this nautical nonsense." Grimsby scoffs

"It ain't nonsense, it's the truth! I'm tellin' you! Down in the depth of the ocean they live!" The old sailor says pointing a pink fish in his left-hand at Grimsby

Chorus:
Heave-ho,
Heave-ho,
Heave-ho,
In mysterious fathoms below.

The fish in the sailor's hand slips from his grip and flies into Grimsby, slapping his face five times with its tail before falling back into the ocean.

(Fathom Below - Ends)

The fish watches the human ship as it continues sailing overhead and breathes a sigh of relief, then swims away into the deep ocean.

Making its way through the waters, the small aquatic creature swims through beds of seaweed and passes a colorful collection of tube-dwelling sea anemone, which immediately retract into their column-shaped bodies, sensing the fish's nearby movement. Then, the pink fish swims past schools of red-orange and black-striped fish, groups of jellyfish, and three humpback whales, which dwarfed the tiny creature in size.

While the fish continues its crossing through the ocean depths, another aquatic creature swims through the waters in another direction. A creature that was half-human, half-fish. It was one of the merpeople, a mermaid. Dozens of mermaids and mermen, young and old, appeared in the water, each vocalizing in harmony and swimming in the same direction to a large, glowing hole in the alcove. On the other side, out in the distance, was a shining, golden underwater palace, where all of the merpeople were heading towards. Its name...

(Atlantica)

Inside the palace, merpeople, fish, and other aquatic creatures gathered in a large, spacious concert hall, which had multiple pillars around the room's radius, a conductor's podium near the center stage, and a giant collection of crystals in the center of the ceiling. A grand celebration was underway as all the merpeople and sea creatures took their seats along the front of the stage. A fanfare of trumpets sound off in the hall as a long line of herald fish stand in formation with their long, trumpet-like noses, and a small, orange seahorse herald, wearing a purple collar swims up to make an announcement to the underwater people of Atlantica.

"Ahem! His Royal Highness, King Triton!" The seahorse herald announces

From the back of the room, an old, large, muscular merman rides out on a large shell chariot pulled by three dolphins. This was Triton, the royal monarch of Atlantica.

Triton was the aging, but still powerful ruler of Atlantica who cared deeply for his kingdom. He had fair skin, massive, well-muscled physique, long white hair, a thick, matching beard and mustache, a widow's peak hairline, grayish-blue eyes, and bushy, gray eyebrows. Triton's lower body was a navy-blue fish-like tail with cyan, translucent fins and a matching, fish-lip waistline. As a sign of his royal status, Triton wore a five-pointed golden crown resembling a sea star on his head, two golden armbands with borders on the edges and five studs around the middle on his forearms, stopping just below the elbow, and carries his golden trident, a three-pronged weapon of vast, powerful magic.

All of the merpeople and sea creatures cheered and applauded for their great and wise ruler as he enters the concert hall. With his trident glowing with a golden light and emitting a deep hum, Triton rides to the top of the room and shoots a magical blast at the crystals, illuminating the hall with a dazzling display. Gold sparkles rained down on the crowd, which gazed up in wonder and amazement.

"And the distinguished court composer: Horatio Felonious Ignacious Crustaceous Sebastian!" The seahorse herald announces

A fanfare of kazoos play as Triton's advisor makes his entrance: A small, red hermit crab named Sebastian, riding a seashell chariot pulled by two goldfish. He had a salmon-colored, noseless face vaguely humanoid, with a large mouth, large white eyes, and a brow line.

Sebastian waves to the crowd with his right-claw and blows a kiss. However, this distraction made him lose control over his two aquatic steeds, which jolted forward slightly and rear up, whinnying like horses.

"Oh! Ohh! Whoa-ho!" Sebastian exclaims

Sebastian grabs the reins with both claws and regained control of the chariot, riding alongside Triton on his left.

"I'm really looking forward to this performance, Sebastian." Triton says

"Oh-ho! Your Majesty! This will be the finest concert I have ever conducted." Sebastian chuckles with a Jamaican accent

The Sea King settles down in his personal spot in the back of the concert hall with a clear view of the stage and the audience down below and releases the dolphins, letting them swim away.

"Your daughters, they will be spectacular!" Sebastian says

Sebastian's chariot flips upside down as the goldfish whinny again, causing the small crab to yelp in surprise. Triton chuckles.

"Yes. And especially my little Ariel." Triton says

Sebastian turns his seashell chariot right side up and began riding down to the stage.

"Yes, yes. She has the most beautiful voice, hmm?" Sebastian says glancing up over his right at Triton with a smile

"If only she'd show up for rehearsal once in a while." Sebastian mutters quietly to himself facing forward

The red crab makes his way down to the podium near the stage, while the audience claps with applause. He releases the reins of the goldfish and drops down onto the podium. Standing up, Sebastian adjusts his shell, then takes out a musical sheet from inside his seashell chariot, setting it down infront of him. He grabs his conductor baton and taps the podium three times, gaining the attention of the concert band infront of him. The band consisted of a blue octopus playing three drums around his tentacles, a frog playing seashell cymbals, a purple fish playing a seashell saxophone, three yellow-orange and black-striped fish playing coral-like trumpets, and three green fish playing shell-like guitars. With a wave of Sebastian's baton, the band played their instruments, and the concert began.

(Daughters of Triton - Starts)

Bubbly curtains pull away and separate, revealing three golden clams, which were closed. One by one, they open up, starting with the clam in the center, followed by the ones on the right and left. Inside the clams, two each, were Triton's daughters.

In the center was Adrina, who had short blond hair with a pink spiral shell decoration on her head, hazel eyes, and a lavender tail with a matching seashell bikini top, and Alana, who had a red-violet tail, a matching seashell bra, violet eyes, and black hair, as well as a small pink tiara on her head.

On the right was Arista, who had long, pale blond hair tied in a sloppy ponytail, ice blue eyes, and a red tail with a matching seashell bikini top, and Adella, who had teal eyes, a greenish yellow tail, and dark brown hair tied in a ponytail with a pearly hairband and headpiece that both match the color of her tail, wearing a yellowish-green seashell bikini top.

And on the left was Aquata, who had blue eyes, brown hair with bangs worn in a ponytail tied up with a band of white pearls, and a blue tail, wearing a matching seashell bikini top, and Attina, the eldest of the sisters, who had an orange tail, green eyes, and light brown hair worn piled on top of her head, wearing a matching seashell bikini top and an orange five-pointed tiara similar to the golden one Triton wears.

The Sea King stood with his arms crossed and watched his daughters sing with a proud smile on his face.

Mersisters:
Oh, we are the daughters of Triton.
Great father who loves us and named us well:

Aquata.

Andrina.

Arista.

Attina.

Adella.

Alana.

Another golden clam rises up on the stage, surrounded by blue shells, and it blossoms like an underwater flower. The six mermaids swim around the clam, continuing their song.

Mersisters:
And then there is the youngest in her musical debut,
A seventh little sister, we're presenting her to you,
To sing a song Sebastian wrote, her voice is like a bell,
She's our sister Ari–

(Daughters of Triton - Ends)

The song ends abruptly as the clam opens up revealing an empty blue pillow inside with the star of the show nowhere to be seen. The mersisters all backed away and gasped in shock. Sebastian himself gasped as he held his head with his claws, then he looked back at Triton with a fearful expression. The Sea King gazed down at the empty clam with a face full of rage, his trident glowing in reaction to its master's fury as his voice bellowed a name loudly in the concert hall.

"Ariel!" Triton bellows

Elsewhere in Atlantica, the two Keyblade Wielders, Devon and Sora, arrive in the underwater kingdom in the undersea courtyard with their friends, Donald, Goofy, Luna, the female Night Fury, Spyro and Cynder of the Dragon Realms, and Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Snotlout, Hookfang, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, and Barf and Belch, the Vikings and Dragons of Berk. To help them adapt to the underwater world, Devon, Sora, and the others were transformed into aquatic creatures.

Sora was a half-human, half-dolphin merman with his upper body exposed and lower body replaced with that of a blue dolphin, including the dorsal fin.

Donald was a half-duck, half-octopus creature with upper body exposed, and his lower body was replaced with that of a cephalopod, with six tentacles of equal length. The top halves of his tentacles was cyan, while the underside was yellow.

Goofy's entire body, save for his head, was transformed into that of a large sea turtle. His skin was the same color as his fur, but his limbs were transformed into flippers, and he gained a long, thin tail. The underside of Goofy's shell was the same light tan color as his skin in his normal form, and the top side of his shell was sea green.

Devon's form was similar to Sora's, only he still wore his black vest and shirt, his gauntlets, and his Kingdom Hearts chain necklace, and his lower body was that of a silver dolphin.

Spyro and Cynder had changed into water dragons, having webbed fins on their paws, and dorsal fins running all the way down from the back of their necks to the length of their tails.

Luna and Toothless were both transformed into dolphins. Their heads remained the same, but the rest of their bodies were made to resemble that of dolphins, having two flippers, streamlined bodies, a dorsal fin on their backs, and a Night Fury's horizontal tail fin.

Stormfly and Hookfang were turned into two types of a sharks. The Deadly Nadder with the body of a Bull Shark, and the Monstrous Nightmare with the body of a Tiger Shark. Their heads remained the same, but their bodies were made to resemble sharks, having two pectoral fins, a dorsal fin, and a vertical tail fin. Also, their skin matched the same colors as their original dragon forms.

Meatlug was transformed into a walrus. Her Gronckle head remained the same, but her body resembled that of a walrus, having a large, spindle-shaped body, two flippers, and a small, horizontal tail fin.

Barf and Belch were transformed into a two-headed sea dragon. They still had their serpentine heads and tails, but their aquatic form resembled that of a Plesiosaur, having a broad flat body, and four long flippers.

Hiccup, Astrid, and the other Viking Teens were all transformed into mermaids and mermen, each of a different color. The boys' upper bodies were exposed, while Astrid and Ruffnut wore seashell bikinis to cover theirs, and Fishlegs, Snotlout, and the Thorston Twins wore their Viking helmets.

Hiccup had a dark brown tail with his merman form.

Astrid had a sky-blue tail and wore a matching seashell bikini.

Fishlegs still maintained his body shape and had a light brown tail.

Snotlout had a red-orange tail with black tiger stripes on it similar to those on Hookfang's body.

Tuffnut had a green tail with brown spots matching the patterns on Barf and Belch.

And Ruffnut had a yellowish-green tail also with brown spots and wore a matching seashell bikini.

Being new to the sea world, Devon and his friends looked over their new, aquatic forms in amazement.

"Oh, boy! Under the sea again!" Donald says excited

"Uh-huh." Goofy says

"Wow. Look at us." Hiccup says amazed

"We're actually under the sea." Fishlegs says amazed

The group swam around the courtyard, doing a few laps in getting used to their aquatic forms. Once they were done, they glanced around at their surroundings, taking in every beautiful detail of the sea, like the colorful clam shells, the underwater flora, and the various types of fish that swam around past them.

"So, this is Atlantica, huh?" Devon says

"Yeah. I wonder how Ariel is doing?" Sora says

As if on cue, a certain young, beautiful mermaid swims into the courtyard. It was Ariel.

Ariel was a strong-willed mermaid with a big sense of adventure, always looking to find something new, even if it was dangerous. She was the youngest daughter in King Triton's family and a talented singer. Ariel had a slender, hourglass figure with thin wrists, bright blue eyes, full red lips, and a green tail with pale green, translucent fins, wearing a brasserie made of purple seashells, but her most distinguishing feature was her long, bright red hair, which was altogether bigger than her entire body.

Following Ariel was her closest friend and confidante, Flounder, who was essentially the polar opposite of adventurous mermaid, often riddled with anxiety, though he can be brave and pull through when Ariel truly needs him. He was a round, yellow tropical fish, somewhat similar to a convict tang, with sky blue stripes along his top side, aquamarine eyes, dark eyebrows, a round nose, and a pink, human-like tongue. Flounder's pectoral, dorsal, and tail fins had alternating sky blue and dark sky-blue stripes, and his dorsal fin lined his back and was frayed near the front, vaguely reminiscent of hair.

"Sora! Donald! Goofy!" Ariel exclaims happily

"Ariel!" Sora exclaims happily

The mermaid quickly swims up to the Keyblade Wielder and wraps her arms around him, embracing the merboy in a loving hug and giggling happily.

"Ohh... It's so wonderful to see you all again." Ariel says

"Yeah. It's great to see you too." Sora says

Sora and Ariel pulled away from their hug, then the mermaid princess and Flounder turned to Devon and his friends in curiosity.

"Oh? Are these all your friends?" Ariel asks

"Yep. This is Devon. He's one of my bestest friends in the whole world." Sora says swimming up to Devon's side and placing his left-arm around his shoulders

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ariel. Sora's told me all about you and Atlantica." Devon says

"Oh! So you're Devon. Sora told me he was looking for you." Ariel says

"Well, I actually saved him the trouble, cause I found him first. Now, the two of us are traveling the worlds together and fighting the Heartless as we go." Devon says

"Plus, we're still trying to find Riku and Kairi." Sora says

"And we've been dealing with an evil group called Organization XIII." Luna says

Flounder shivered slightly at the sound of the name.

"Th-They sound like they're trouble." Flounder says

"They are. We've been fighting them around every corner." Spyro says

"As far as we know, Organization XIII is up to something big. We just don't know what that is yet." Cynder says

"Obviously, it can't be anything good." Astrid says

"They won't win, cause we won't let them!" Donald says

"Yeah! We're tough!" Snotlout says flexing his arms like a strong person

Ariel giggles.

"Well, I'm sure you'll beat them." Ariel says

"So, how are you doing, Ariel? Everything seems peaceful." Goofy asks

"Oh, everything's fine... as long as Daddy's in a good mood." Ariel says

"You looked like you were heading off to somewhere, Ariel. Where were you going?" Sora asks

"To a very special place where I'm hoping to find more wonderful things from the human world." Ariel says

"Mind if we tag along?" Devon asks

"Sure. Follow us." Ariel says

Ariel and Flounder began swimming out into the deep ocean, heading off to adventure with Devon, Sora, and their friends following close behind.

The group swims through a dark area of undersea gorges and pass a few podium-like rocks until they arrive in a shipwreck graveyard, where they saw many sunken ships all around them. But there was one ship that Ariel seemed particularly interested in. Devon, Sora, Ariel and friends take cover behind the deck of a shipwreck, which was capsized on its left-side, and took a peek over the side.

"There it is." Ariel says

Down in the underwater valley was a large galleon, revealed by the glistening sunlight from the ocean surface.

"Isn't it fantastic?" Ariel asks

"Definitely looked like it's seen better days." Devon says

"Wow. I wonder what could've downed a ship like that." Hiccup says

"It looks so big." Fishlegs says

"Yeah, sure. It's great. Now let's get out of here." Flounder says

The yellow fish turned around in an attempt to swim away, but the red-haired mermaid grabs him by his tail with her right-hand and pulls him back.

"Ohh! You're not getting cold fins now, are you?" Ariel groans

"Who, me? No way." Flounder says

Curious to explore the shipwreck, the group swim their way down to the sunken galleon. Flounder follows hesitantly.

"It's just... Uh... It... It looks damp in there. Yeah. And I think I might be coming down with something. Yeah. I got this cough." Flounder says

Flounder gives out a couple of fake coughs, while Ariel held an unamused expression.

"All right. We'll go inside. You can just stay here and watch for sharks." Ariel says

After saying that, Ariel swims into the galleon through one of the ship's portholes. Devon, Sora, and Co. decided to make their own way into the ship through the main deck. But before heading up, Devon turns to Luna and the other dragons.

"Luna, you and the others wait out here with Flounder and keep watch for Heartless or any sharks that might be lurking around." Devon says

"You got it, Devon." Luna says

"Sure thing." Cynder says

Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut, and Ruffnut swim up to the main deck and enter the ship through a large open hatch, while Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Hookfang, Barf and Belch, and Flounder remained outside to keep a lookout for Heartless and other sharks.

"Okay. Yeah. Yeah, you go. I'll stay and..." Flounder whispers

It took a moment for the yellow fish to realize what Ariel said, and a look of panic quickly formed on his face.

"What?! Sharks?! Devon! Sora! Ariel!" Flounder exclaims

Flounder immediately swims into the porthole that Ariel entered, but he ended up stuck with half of his round body in and out. Spyro, Cynder, Luna, Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Hookfang, Barf and Belch stared at Flounder wedged in the porthole, then raised an eyebrow at each other, warbling and growling in a confused tone.

"Ariel, I can't... I mean... Guys, help!" Flounder grunts trying to push himself through

Devon, Sora, Ariel, and Co. looked over at the yellow fish and the red-haired mermaid laughed as they swam over to him.

"Oh, Flounder." Ariel laughs

"It's alright, Flounder. We got you. Hold on." Sora says

Sora grabs onto Flounder's fin, while Donald grabbed his other fin, and the two heroes pulled to help get him unstuck.

"Ariel? Do you really think there might be sharks around here? Uh, besides Stormfly and Hookfang, I mean?" Flounder asks in a whispering voice

"Flounder, don't be such a guppy." Ariel says

"I'm not a guppy." Flounder says

Eventually, after a few more pulls, Sora and Donald managed to get Flounder into the ship, and the group continued their exploration. Luna, Toothless, and the other dragons gathered around the porthole and peeked inside with their eyes, curious as to what was inside the shipwrecked galleon. However, this distracted them from their guard duty as a large shark swam past behind them.

Inside the galleon, Devon, Sora, and Co. descend down another open hatch and swim further into the ship.

"This is great. I mean, I really love this. Excitement, adventure, danger lurking around every corner..." Flounder says looking around nervously

Soon, the yellow fish came face-to-face with a human skeleton, and he screamed.

"Aaaaaaaaah! Ariel!" Flounder screams

Flounder quickly swims past Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, and the Viking Teens and into Ariel, knocking her down, though she catches him. Flounder was shaking uncontrollably with widened eyes full of terror as everyone gathered around them.

"Oh, are you okay, Flounder?" Ariel asks in concern

"Yeah, sure. No problem. I'm okay." Flounder says

While Ariel tried to calm Flounder down, Devon looked around the lower deck and noticed a hole in the ceiling above them.

"Hey. Let's see what's up there." Devon says

The dolphin merboy swam upwards to the hole with Sora, Ariel, and the others following him, and the group enters the captain's quarters, which was completely empty, save for one thing that immediately caught Ariel's fascination.

"Oh, my gosh..." Ariel gasps

Sitting on a broken stand was a silver, four-tined fork, which surprisingly had been spared from the years of decay and corrosion that had befallen everything else on the ship. The only defect it had was that the tine point on the right-side was bent inwards slightly. Ariel swims over to the human artifact and holds it up in her right-hand, staring at it in wonder and amazement.

"Oh, my gosh! Have you ever seen anything so wonderful in your entire life?" Ariel says amazed

Devon, Sora, and the others shared weird glances with each other and shrugged. They knew that the fork was a fairly ordinary object, but to Ariel, it was a great treasure. And being a mermaid, it was clear that she didn't know much about the human world up above. Flounder swims up to Ariel, also fascinated by the mysterious object.

"Wow, cool! But, uh, what is it?" Flounder says curiously

"I don't know, but I bet Scuttle will." Ariel says

The little mermaid places the fork in her pink bag and looks around the room to search for more human items. Devon, Sora, and Co. followed her. While the group continued exploring the captain's quarters, a large shadow swims past the large window from left to right. Flounder turned to the window on his left, taking notice.

"W-What was that?" Flounder asks startled

The yellow fish swims up to the window, looking outside nervously.

"Did you hear something?" Flounder asks

While Flounder was watching for movement outside, Ariel and the group finds an old tobacco pipe resting on top a broken barrel.

"I wonder what this is?" Ariel says

Getting more and more nervous by the second, the yellow fish turns to his friends.

"Ariel?" Flounder says worried

"Flounder, would you relax. Nothing is going to happen." Ariel says

As soon as his back was turned, a great white shark rises up in clear view of the window behind Flounder with his red eyes gazing hungrily at the group. The name of this shark: Glut. Flounder heard a deep growl behind him, which made the round tropical fish freeze in his place. He turned around slowly to the right and what he saw struck him with terror. Glut's mouth was wide open, revealing huge, sharp teeth that were inside, ready to bite. Flounder quickly swims away and escapes the shark as he chomps down, smashing through the window.

"Shark! Shark! We're gonna die!" Flounder screams

Devon, Sora, Ariel, and Co. turned around upon hearing Flounder's panicked voice and their eyes widened when they saw the great white shark attacking. Glut smashes his head against the ceiling as he goes after Flounder, then he turns his gaze toward the group and heads straight for them.

"Waaaaaaak!" Donald screams flailing his arms to swim out of the way of the vicious predator

Donald, Goofy, and the Viking Teens swim out of the captain's quarters through a hatch in the ceiling, while Glut chomps his way across the room, targeting Devon, Sora, Ariel, and Flounder specifically. The quartet swim around and dodge the shark as he lunges at them with his teeth and Glut smashes into the wall. Heading up out of room through the same hatch, the two dolphin merboys, little mermaid, and yellow fish attempted to follow their friends out of the ship, but the great white shark bursts up through the deck infront of them, cutting them off from their path and forcing them to stop and swim the other way. Flounder swam into Glut's mouth, but he quickly swims back out.

"Aaah! Aaaah!" Flounder screams

Flounder swam further ahead of Devon, Sora, and Ariel, while Glut pursues them, biting his way through the deck of the galleon. Ariel's bag ends up getting snagged on a piece of broken wood, forcing her to stop and turn back. Swimming fast, she grabs her bag before Glut could devour it, and swims up through a hole in the ceiling, following her friends. The large shark pursues the little mermaid, burrowing up through the hole.

"Oh, no!" Flounder exclaims

The quartet swam towards the portholes of the ship, and the yellow fish tries to squeeze his round body through.

"Uhh!" Flounder grunts

Ariel helps push Flounder through the porthole and swims out of the ship with Devon and Sora just as Glut smashes through the ship's hull and chases after them. Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and their dragons watched as the great white shark relentlessly pursued the quartet.

"Aaaaaah!" Flounder screams

Devon, Sora, Ariel, and Flounder swim upwards around the tall mast of the galleon with Glut hot on their tails. Upon reaching the top, the two merboys and mermaid swim over the horizontal beam used for the sails, but Flounder bangs his head against the hard wood, and he sinks through the waters in a daze, dropping down with dizzying spin toward the ocean floor. He barely misses getting chomped on by Glut as he bites through the top of the mast and the shark swims down after him. Devon, Sora and Ariel glanced back and saw Flounder sinking with Glut heading straight for him. Moving fast, they swim down to save him from becoming the shark's snack. Devon swims halfway through the ring of a large, rusted anchor and catches the yellow tropical fish in his hands.

"Gotcha!" Devon says

Devon looks up and Flounder recovers from his daze to see Glut swimming directly toward them. The Keyblade Wielder raised his right-eyebrow and smirked with a clever idea to outwit the aquatic predator. Pulling away at the last second, he dodges Glut as he lunges forward, and the great white shark ends up stuck with his head stuck in the anchor's ring.

With the threat now over, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Ariel, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and their dragons swim up to Devon and Flounder as the dolphin merboy releases the yellow tropical fish from his arms. Devon crosses his arms and held a proud smile on his face, then glances back at his friends over his left-shoulder.

"Hee hee. Nice work, Devon." Ariel giggles

"Thanks." Devon says

With her bag of human items strapped over her left-shoulder, Ariel swims up towards the ocean surface with Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs and the dragons following close behind. Snotlout and the Thorston Twins stayed behind for a moment to tease the shark.

"Ha!" Snotlout laughs

"Nyah nyah!" Tuffnut and Ruffnut teases

Once they were done, they swam upwards and followed the others, leaving Flounder with Glut.

"You big bully!" Flounder says

The yellow fish sticks his tongue out and blows a raspberry at the great white shark, who responds with an angry chomp of his teeth.

"Aah!" Flounder gasps

Frightened by the shark's teeth, Flounder quickly swims upwards to catch up with his friends as they all head up to the surface.

"Flounder, you really are a guppy." Ariel giggles

"I am not." Flounder says

On the surface, a seagull was sitting on a small, lone island atop his small crow's nest, which was leaning diagonally against a tall rock, humming to himself. This was Scuttle, an eccentric seagull and a self-proclaimed expert on humans, according to Ariel.

Scuttle:
Fourteen hundred and ninety-two.
Dah-de-dum,
Dee-do-do,
Rum-dim-dim,
Dee-do-dee-do.

"Scuttle!" Ariel calls

Upon hearing the mermaid's voice, Scuttle grabs his telescope and places it up to his right-eye. Gazing through the lens, he could see Devon, Sora, and Co. in the distance with Ariel waving her right-hand high up in the air.

"Whoa! Mermaid off the port bow!" Scuttle says

From his perspective, the group appeared to be far away. But in truth, they were actually floating right infront of him. This was because Scuttle was looking through the wrong end of the telescope.

"Ariel! How you doin', kid!" Scuttle says

As soon as Scuttle lowered his telescope, Ariel instantly appeared close up, smiling and shaking her head.

"Whoa, what a swim." Scuttle says

"I think you were holding that backwards." Astrid says pointing to the telescope with her right index finger and her other hand at her waist

"Everyone, meet Scuttle. He's an expert on humans." Ariel says

"Oh, really?" Devon says crossing his arms with a smile and a raised right-eyebrow

"Hiya!" Sora greets

"Hello." Donald greets

"Nice to meet you, Scuttle. A-hyuk!" Goofy greets

"A great pleasure. Any friend of Ariel is a friend of mine." Scuttle says

"Scuttle, look what we found." Ariel says placing her bag onto the flat island rock

"Yeah, we were in this sunken ship, and it was really creepy..." Flounder says

"Human stuff, huh? Hey, let me see." Scuttle says

The seagull grabs an anchor from his nest and drops it over the side. However, his right-foot was wrapped around the rope that was tied to the anchor, and he ended up getting dragged down to the ground, falling flat on his face. Scuttle shook it off as though it were nothing and went over to Ariel's bag, hopping off Flounder's head along the way. Rummaging through the pink bag, the seagull takes out the fork and examines it with much interest.

"Oh... Oh! Look at this. Wow, this is special. This is very, very unusual." Scuttle says intrigued

"What? What is it?" Ariel asks excitingly

"It's a dinglehopper." Scuttle says

"What?" Devon and Sora say in unison confused

"Um, are you sure that's what it's called?" Goofy asks

"Absolutely, Goofy. Humans use these little babies..." Scuttle says

Scuttle bends the fork in his feathered fingers and the silver utensil flies upwards with a loud boing, spinning in the air. He fumbles around a bit, but manages to catch it in his right-wing.

"...to straighten their hair out." Scuttle says

To demonstrate, the seagull places the fork on the top of his head with the tined points facing downwards and twists his hair around counterclockwise.

"See? Just a little twirl here and a yank there, and voi-o-la..." Scuttle says

Yanking the fork away from his head, Scuttle's hair plops down with a new, poofy hairstyle.

"You got an aesthetically pleasing configuration of hair that humans go nuts over." Scuttle says

The red-haired mermaid takes the human item with both hands and gazes upon it with even more fascination.

"A dinglehopper." Ariel gasps

"What about that one?" Flounder asks pointing to the tobacco pipe with his right-fin

Scuttle picks up the pipe in his feathery hands and holds it up with equal interest in the human object.

"Ah. This I haven't seen in years. This is wonderful! A banded, bulbous snarfblatt." Scuttle says

"Ohh." Ariel and Flounder gasp in awe

Devon couldn't help but smile at how ridiculous and humorous this was. For being an expert on humans, Scuttle had it all completely wrong. Being a human himself, he could tell Ariel more about humans than the seagull ever could.

"Tch! Where does he come up with these names?" Devon says

Scuttle laid down on the flat rock, dunking the pipe in the seawater and letting the water drop out as he explained his own knowledge of the item.

"Now, the snarfblatt dates back to prehistorical times when humans used sit around..." Scuttle says

The seagull leans in very close to Ariel's face, staring her right in the eyes.

"...and stare at each other all day." Scuttle says

An awkward silence, save for the crashing sound of waves, fills the air.

"Got pretty boring." Scuttle says

Leaning back, Scuttle continued his explanation of the tobacco pipe.

"So, they invented the snarfblatt to make fine music. Allow me." Scuttle says

To demonstrate the use of the human object, Scuttle blows into the mouthpiece of the pipe. But instead of music, a blockage of sea foam and seaweed emerged from the pipe's opening with a loud popping noise. Hearing the word 'music' reminded Ariel of something very important as her eyes widened in shock.

"Music?!" Ariel exclaims

"It's stuck! Ack!" Scuttle coughs

Devon, Sora, and the others looked over at the red-haired mermaid in concern.

"Ariel? What is it?" Devon asks

"Oh, the concert! Oh, my gosh! My father's gonna kill me!" Ariel exclaims grabbing her bag

"Concert?" Sora says confused

"It was a musical that my father had planned. Oh, this is not good!" Ariel says turning to the world-travelers

"The concert was today?!" Flounder says holding his face with his fins in shock

"Maybe you could make a little planter out of it or something." Scuttle says examining the pipe

Knowing that she had to head home, Ariel takes the human item back from Scuttle and began swimming away with her friends.

"I'm sorry! We gotta go! Thank you, Scuttle!" Ariel says waving her right-hand good-bye

The group descends into the water, while Scuttle bids them farewell.

"Any time, sweetie! Any time." Scuttle says waving his right-wing good-bye

Swimming with haste, Ariel and Flounder head back to Atlantica with Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and their dragons following close behind. Little did they know they were being watched by a sinister pair of moray eels, who had dull, blue-green skin, dark fins lining their spines and undersides, and long mouths filled with sharp gold teeth.

These two were Floatsam and Jetsam, minions of Ursula, the Sea Witch. The eels had heterochromia; two different-colored eyes that helped tell them apart from one another. Floatsam's right-eye and Jetsam's left-eye was yellow, while their remaining eyes were white.

As they observed the group, the white eyes of the two eels glowed with a golden color and combined together with the forms of Devon, Sora, Ariel, and Flounder swimming in their vision, relaying a live, magic image back to their mistress.

Elsewhere in the deep sea, Ursula sat in the darkness of a large conch shell in her lair and watched the two dolphin merboys, the little mermaid, and the yellow tropical fish through a crystal ball, a visionary portal created through the magic gaze of her two eel servants, which floated over a large cauldron kept inside a pit in the ground.

Ursula was a villainous Cecaelia, half-human, half-octopus of greed, vanity, and evil ambition, power-hungry and devilish. She was morbidly obese with light lavender skin, short white hair, and a black lower body, from the waist down, with six tentacles dotted by violet suckers. The area around her eyes was a darker shade than the rest of her face. Her eyes were gray and she had a mole near the right-side of her mouth. Always seen wearing makeup, she had aqua blue eye shadow, deep red lipstick, and red nails. She also wore purple coral shell earrings and a gold nautilus shell necklace.

"Yes. Hurry home, Princess. We wouldn't want to miss old Daddy's celebration, now, would we? Ha! Celebration, indeed. Oh-ho, bah!" Ursula says waving her left-hand

In her throne, the Sea Witch reaches for a clam filled with four live shrimp with her left-hand. Three of the small creatures noticed the approach of her hand and quickly backed away, wrapping themselves around each other and shaking with fear, whimpering with tiny, high-pitched voices. One was still asleep and was picked up by Ursula. By the time the shrimp woke up and realized what was happening, it was too late. Still, the shrimp wriggled around in her fingers, trying to escape from her grip.

"In my day, we had fantastical feasts, when I lived in the palace." Ursula says

The Sea Witch brought the small creature up to her lips, while it whimpered and shook its head, and tosses the shrimp into her mouth, devouring it with a few chews and one gulp.

"And now look at me. Wasted away to practically nothing. Banished and exiled and practically starving, while Triton and his flimsy fish folk celebrate." Ursula says leaning out on her right-side and laying over on her back before rolling over to the left and rising up

Ursula descends down from the conch shell and walks over to the cauldron, gazing down at the swimming forms of Devon, Sora, Ariel and Co.

"Not to mention Sora, that wretched brat with the Keyblade. If not for him, I would have ruled all of Atlantica! Hmm... Looks as though he's brought some new friends along with him. But no matter..." Ursula says

The Sea Witch moves around the left of her cauldron and takes a few steps forward.

"I'll have my revenge, and I'll give 'em all something to celebrate soon enough." Ursula says

Ursula soon stops and turns back to the left, facing her cauldron as she called out to her eels.

"Floatsam! Jetsam!" Ursula calls

Jetsam banged his head up against the rocks as Ursula's voice boomed in his mind.

"I want you to keep an extra-close watch on Triton's pretty little daughter. She'll undoubtedly be the key to his undoing." Ursula says

The Sea Witch held her hands together and narrowed her eyes with an evil smile as she began formulating a wicked plot that would finally settle her personal vendetta with the Sea King and seize control over Atlantica. She may have failed in her last attempt against Sora and his friends, but now things will be different. This time, she will be the ruler of all the oceans. All that Ursula had to do was wait for the perfect moment to make her move.

Author's Note: Alright. So, here we are in Atlantica! Sora, Donald, and Goofy are back in their second visit to the undersea kingdom, and now Devon and his friends are along for the ride. For Devon's form in Atlantica, it was fairly easy to give him the dolphin merboy transformation similar to Sora's. Luna, Toothless, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Astrid, the Viking Teens and the dragons were easy too. And now, our heroes travel under the sea and meet up with Ariel and Flounder, thus beginning their adventure into the story of The Little Mermaid. Let me know what you guys think. No flames please. Hope you guys like and don't forget to review!
