Chapter 4: The Mega(watt) Trip To USA/Fun(gus) Bring Your Daughter To Work Day
Thanks to Cronus breaking into the base, the teens got to head back home until the adults felt it was secure enough for them to come back. Pony decided it would be a great idea to invite them to one of the USA's lesser known locations. "Welcome to… Sparksville!?" Izuku shouted as he read the sign.
"Yep! My father told me they got an attraction here from around the same time quirks started to appear," Pony responded, not picking up on Izuku's terrified face.
"[As the mayor of Sparksville I welcome you, oh seekers of wonder]," a tired looking old man in a light blue suit told them.
"... Come on, I got us tickets to see it." Izuku wanted to run but knew it wouldn't be nice to do so.
'This won't be so bad. All we have to do is not touch or use electrical devices and quirks around it. How hard could that be?' As they walked towards its building, they saw a blond boy with a black streak in his hair looking like a lightning bolt.
"Just make sure to mind the signs," the mayor told him.
"He speaks japanese?" Uraraka whispered. The group of six teens went to the booth and handed their tickets to the man, getting the same warning. Once everyone was to the end they saw it, a giant ball of rubber bands.
"Oh, no," Izuku muttered to himself.
"This is it!? What kind of joke is this," the boy with blond hair shouted.
"It's not a joke," Izuku told him in a dead serious tone, "If what's in there is unleashed, we're going to have to deal with the worst kind of beings in the universe."
The cadets looked at him with surprised faces, while the blond boy just shrugged off his worries and went to touch the ball saying, "It can't be that bad." As his hand came close to the ball, electricity came from him and went straight into the ball, causing the ball to start sparking until the electricity formed into what looked like a living battery. The battery-like being laughed at them and then shot into the air. The cadets watched the whole thing slack jawed before glaring at the boy who freed it. "... It's just one small guy. It can't be that bad… right?" Izuku was about to tell him how bad it could get when they heard a crash from outside.
When they went outside they saw a stream of electricity running around and destroying the place. Pieces of attractions were falling all over the place and electronics were having temporary failure due to having the electricity absorbed. Izuku looked at the boy and shouted, "This! This is why you obey warning signs on attractions!"
"Hey, I'm sorry, okay? Like I was supposed to know that it would unleash a living ball of electricity."
"Enough, both of you! We need to stop this thing before it gets out of hand," Pony told them.
"Tsu! Throw me at that thermometer. If we drive it into the ground while getting that thing's attention, we can stop it," Uraraka suggested.
"Allright," Asui agreed, wrapping her tongue around the girl.
"No wait!" Izuku shouted trying to stop them, but was too late as Asui threw Uraraka at the thermometer. Uraraka made it waitless and drove it into the ground in front of the being's path, making it run into the giant thing and get sucked into the ground.
"Alright, we did it!" Uraraka shouted.
"If the power lines weren't in the ground," the Mayor told her.
"What does that mean?" the blond boy asked.
"It means the Nosedeenian you unleashed is running all throughout Sparksville," Izuku told him.
The phones started ringing, and Hagakure shouted, "Who still uses payphones!?"
"As long as Sparksville is not connected to other places through power lines, we can isolate the Megawatts, or as your friend called them, the Nosedeenians from terrorizing other towns and cities," the mayor answered, as multiple Nosedeenians started coming from the phones and reeking havoc. One of the Nosedeenians was touching the Omnitrix, making it turn yellow before becoming a Diamond and switching between 9 silhouettes before showing the silhouette of a Nosedeenian. All the Nosedeenians went onto the giant hotdog, and let out a sonic belch, shattering the giant toothpick attraction.
"And there goes the world's largest container of toothpicks. Oh, the humanity."
"Midoriya, you seem to know a lot about these guys. How do we stop them?" Shinsho asked the green haired boy.
"We need the world's largest Fish Bowl and-" the kid started until the Nosedeenians possessed a solar system mobile, "... And permission from the Magister."
"The Magister?"
"That mystery guy in the suit." Izuku pulled out his phone and dialed up a number.
At an electrical dam, the mobile robot was punching the dam, until a fiery being on a flaming rock flew straight into the robot. The robot was knocked away after just puncturing a hole into the dam, and saw the transformers filled with its lunch. After filling the hole with rocks, the Pyronight flew in front of the robot and blasted it with fire, making it back away. Seeing the others arrive with the Fish Bowl and a ship, he taunted the robot saying, "Are you really just going to take it, or are you going to fight back?"
The robot threw a punch with one of the planets, but missed as the fire alien disappeared in a flaming vortex. "Over hear you bucket of bolts!" the voice of the blond kid shouted as the robot turned to see him enter a cover of some sort. The Nosedeenians left the robot and flew under the cover. The teens and the Pyronight came from out behind the cover and pulled it off. The Pyronight blew a fire breath at the top of the bowl that held the Nosedeenians, sealing them inside.
*Beep beep boop bwoo* A red light engulfed the fiery being before fading away, revealing Izuku. "Nicely done cadets… and acquaintance," the Magister told them.
"Denki, Kaminari Denki. Thank you for your praise sir, but I was the one who released them in the first place."
"What's important is that you learned from your mistake and made things right." The robot started sparking again, gaining everyone's attention. A lone Nosedeenian came out and headed straight towards Izuku, due to him being the one that captured his friends.
Before he got to him, Kaminari grabbed him saying, "Oh no you don't!" Kaminari started absorbing the Nosedeenian's electricity while the battery alien did the same, causing a feedback loop that eventually caused Kaminari's alien DNA to activate further, and generating an explosion of electricity.
When the light died down, there were 2 Kaminaris and 2 Nosedeenians. "... Well this is unexpected."
"Does this mean Kaminari's part Nosedianian?" Shinsho asked, jokingly.
"Most likely."
"I was joking."
"I wasn't." The two Kaminaris looked at each other in shock while the 2 Nosedeenians laughed at them. The Kaminaris turned into electricity and fused together, chuckled and held out a hand, absorbing the Nosedeenians' electricity, draining them to sleep. "I'll take these guys and the rest of the Nosedeenians back to the Plumber base to see if we can make a negotiation. The rest of you should head back to your break."
Uraraka's phone started ringing and she pulled it out to see that it was her dad. Answering it, she said, "Hey daddy, what's up? Dad? Woah woah woah, slow down, what's this about mushroom people?" Izuku and the Magister shared a tired look as best as they could, already knowing where this was going. "Okay, I'll contact the heroes and- Dad? Dad!" Uraraka took the phone away from her ear with a fearful look, turned to the Magister.
"... Alright, Young Kaminari, call your mother and tell her you were accepted for a UA training camp starting 2 days from now. Young Uraraka, you and Young Midoriya will be joining me on the trip back, I'll drop you two off to deal with the overgrown athletes foot. The rest of you, head back to your break and enjoy it."
The duo repealed down from the ship and landed in what looked like a summer camp. Looking around they tried to find someone that could show them where the construction crew was, but could only find warm spaghetti in the mess hall. "This isn't good. Without a guide the best we'll be able to do is pick a direction, stick to it, and hope we find your family and their workers," Izuku told her.
"Not good enough, do you have more forms in there besides the fire guy?" Uraraka asked urgently.
"Yes but without a scent, I've got none that would help us."
"Gah!" Uraraka punched a wall in frustration, making Izuku flinch.
"Look, I know it's tough, but you need to keep calm. If those mushroom people come back, we can just let them take us and we'll get them out. In the meantime, help me find some athlete's foot powder." Uraraka nodded, knowing that was their best option, and got to looking for the powder. Eventually, they found what they were looking for and went back outside, only to be confronted by the mushroom people.
"... That was easy." The two proceeded to get knocked out and dragged away. When they woke up they found themselves in a cave filled with the construction crew and other people. "Mom! Dad!"
The senior Urarakas woke up and shouted, "Ochako!" when they saw her. "What do you think you're doing here? You were supposed to inform the heroes!" her father hissed.
"I couldn't just sit back and let you die, knowing I could do something."
"Speaking of being able to do something, my hands are mostly free," Izuku informed them.
"Great, turn into that fire guy and roast the overgrown weeds."
"His name is Heatblast, and if I did that, all of you could die. I just hope the fungus will bring out the right DNA sample for the job." Izuku messed with the Omnitrix until eventually, the dial popped up and he transformed into a green plant-like being with a head that looked like it was on fire. "Not the one I was going for, but Swampfire will do." The stinky alien pulled back the circles on his hands and released a gas that wilted the plants holding him up. Undoing the ones on the 3 other people that were conscious, he told them, "Get everyone out of here, I'll deal with the one behind this myself."
Izuku ran off further into the cave until he came across the fungus brain itself. "Why do you wish to help that pathetic waste of a species? Surely being given the ability to transform into a plant based being yourself has given you a better understanding of how selfish and cruel those wastes of air are," the brain wondered.
"I've been called a lot of things before, but never anything that cruel," Swampfire replied as he sent fireballs at the brain.
"Gah! You should stop resisting and join us!"
"How'd you become this sentient anyways? I thought all plants only had the basic functions inside them?"
"Oh it was beautiful. There was an explosion, and I managed to survive. However, it altered my DNA, and I became this magnificent creature you see before you now."
"The Omni-Energy Explosion," the Methanosian muttered, "You're over 200 years old!?"
"Yes, I've been waiting for a very long time to seek revenge on those who killed so many of my brethren, and I won't have an abomination like you like you, ruin it for me!" The Omnitrix timed out and Izuku was brought towards the flaming brain's mouth.
Digging into his pocket, he grabbed the powder and shouted, "I'm sorry for what I have to do! But you leave me no choice!" He uncapped the bottle and tossed it into the mouth, making it sick and started to spurt out some form of liquid, destroying the brain. While falling, he silently thanked the Magister for giving him a Prototool incase of emergencies. Izuku used the grappling hook mode to escape the cave that was quickly becoming unstable. He was almost out until the cave collapsed on top of him.
Uraraka watched in horror as the cave fell onto Izuku. Once the earth was settled, she rushed over and shouted, "Midoriya! Midoriya are you alright!? Answer me!"
"Uraraka, is that you!? The Prototool's shield isn't going to hold forever! Do you think you could lift the ruble to get me out of here!?"
"No, this is way past my limit!"
"Then use the Omnivolutionizer! By the time the Heroes get here, it will be too late!" Uraraka hesitated for a bit, then pulled out a circular device that had the Omnitrix symbol on it, and put it to her chest. She then pressed the device and a green energy flowed from it, erasing her pads. She held out her hand and pink rippling energy started to appear from it, letting her manipulate the gravity of all the rocks, holding them up into the air. As she did this, her parents were shocked at what was happening to their daughter.
Uraraka stopped manipulating the gravity on the rocks and let them fall once Izuku was cleared. "You Ok?" she whispered.
"Yeah, thanks to you." The 2 smiled at each other for another moment and then Izuku went to the camp to see if they needed Stinkfly to spread the athlete's foot powder. Uraraka ran to her parents and hugged them tightly.
"I'm so glad you guys are alright!"
"Don't worry, our little planet, you arrived just in time. Butwhat was that you just did?" her dad asked.
"It's a long and classified story. I'm surprised I was even allowed to do that."
"I guess you graduated from Pluto and became Mars."
"Pluto isn't a planet Daddy," Uraraka laughed. The three remained hugging until Izuku ame back and a rope dropped from the sky, signaling his leave. "Are you ever going to stop trying to look cool?"
"Of course I will… When we all get into UA," the greennet replied, earning a laugh. Izuku grabbed the rope, ready to climb it when Uraraka kissed him on the cheek, making him blush.
"That's for helping me save my parents." Izuku couldn't do anything and the Magister pulled him up instead and set off to their next destination.
