Here's chapter 8! Enjoy! :)

Later that afternoon…

"Ok now that we all introduced ourselves can you please tell us what's going on?" Margaret asked concerned.

"Go ahead, Amy." George said seriously.

"Um…I'm…pregnant." Amy said nervously as she looked at Ricky.

"What? You're joking right?" Ricky said sarcastically.

"Oh you think this is funny huh?! You got my daughter pregnant!" George said angrily as he raised his voice.

"Calm down, George! You don't need to yell." Anne said loudly.

"Don't tell me to calm down! How did this even happen?!" George said furiously as he looked at Anne and then Ricky.

"Please don't yell at my son, George...I'm sure he didn't intend for this happen." Margaret said sadly as she looked at Ricky and then George.

"Of course I didn't mean for this happen...We took things too far at band camp and I'm truly sorry Mr. Jergens...I really am." Ricky said honestly as he looked at George.

"You can say sorry all you want but that's not going to change what happened, is it?" George said in an irritated tone.

Ricky sighed and shook his head as he looked at Amy.

"Are you absolutely sure that Amy is pregnant? Has she seen her doctor?" Margaret asked concerned.

"I took more than one pregnancy test and they were all positive...Plus my period didn't start when it was supposed to...and I haven't seen my pediatrician yet." Amy answered earnestly as she looked at Margaret.

"Oh ok...Well I don't think we need to continue this conversation until after you've seen your doctor, dear. Sometimes those tests aren't always accurate." Margaret said nicely.

"Are you calling my kid a liar?" George said sternly.

"Of course not! I'm just saying it's not a bad idea to have Amy get checked out by her pediatrician." Margaret said defensively.

"She's right, George...We'll try to make an appointment for Monday...Thank you for coming." Anne said kindly as she looked at George and then Margaret.

"You're welcome...Don't worry, Amy...Everything is going to be all right...Are you ready Ricky?" Margarett said pleasantly.

"Can I talk to Amy alone for a minute?" Ricky asked seriously.

"Sure...I'll wait in the car...Bye everyone, it was great to meet you all." Margaret said smiling as she walked out the front door.

"Make it quick, kid. I can't believe this." George said aggravated as he left the living room with Anne.

"What is it?" Amy said painfully as she wiped tears from her face with her sleeve.

"Listen, Amy...If you really are pregnant I want you to know that I am so sorry...I didn't expect this to happen." Ricky said sincerely as he looked at Amy.

"Yeah thanks...Heh...I didn't expect this to happen either, you know...And if I really am pregnant what are we going to do?" Amy said honestly as she looked at Ricky after wiping her face again.

"I...I don't know...I'm not ready to be a father but...I think the baby should know us since we'll be their parents, if you are really pregnant." Ricky said anxiously.

"So...you think we should keep it?" Amy said worried.

"Possibly...I...I don't know...I guess we'll know after you've seen your doctor...See ya later, Amy." Ricky said truthfully and he left.

"Are you ok, honey?" Anne said kindly as she walked into the living room.

"No...I'm pretty sure my life is over...I screwed up Mom." Amy said sadly as she started crying.

"Oh...it's ok...Maybe it's a false alarm." Anne said in a comforting tone as she hugged Amy.

"I sure hope so for both yours and Ricky's sake...Both of you are too young to be having sex, let alone become parents." George said severely as he walked into the living room.

"I know...but it's too late now." Amy said mournfully through her tears as she let go of Anne.

"I'm sorry, Ames...We'll get through this together...I promise." George said kindly as he hugged Amy.

"Thanks Dad...and Mom...I love you guys." Amy said sweetly as she let go of George.

"We love you too...I'll call the doctor for you so we can figure this out." Anne said gently as she smiled.

Meanwhile at Jack's house...

"So I talked to Grace at church today." Reverend Stone said nicely after he took a sip of water.

"Why?" Jack asked intrigued after taking a bite of his chicken.

"I thought you were out late with her last night but she told me you were with some girl named...Amy." Reverend Stone said seriously.

"Yeah that's right...Grace and I are broken up so I'm seeing someone else." Jack said honestly.

"Wow! You sure bounce back fast! Good for you, son! I didn't think Grace was good enough for you anyways." Didi said happily and then quietly.

"Didi..it's important to try to love everyone, remember?" Reverend Stone said nicely.

"Yes I know...I'm sorry, dear...So what is this Amy girl like?" Did said sincerely as she looked at Sam and then asked Jack curiously.

"Well she's very nice...also a freshmen and in the band...We had a nice time last night...I was thinking of seeing her tonight for dinner actually." Jack said politely as he smiled.

"Ok great! Well we'd love to meet her sometime...Maybe next weekend?" Reverend Stone said eagerly as he smiled.

"Yeah of course! We have the dance next Saturday but maybe at church on Sunday?" Jack said pleasantly after he wiped his face with his napkin.

"Sounds like a plan! I'm looking forward to it!" Didi said enthusiastically after she took a drink of water.
