Nun Chucks And Scars

Chapter 1: What's Gotten Into You?
Noah Puckerman couldn't believe he was holding Tracy Anderson on his lap, wearing only her underwear. Quinn Puckerman rubbed Vaseline all over the scars on her back while she slept, and Kurt Hummel lay beside her, crying himself to sleep.
When Kurt and Tracy woke up, they heard Noah yelling, "I used to tell people I was in a fight club because I was too ashamed to admit my dad beat me up! Why would you hurt a two-year-old little girl?"
They heard something hit the wall, and Kurt ran into the living room to see Blaine lying on the floor. Then, Noah started choking Blaine with his bare hands, but he was pulled off by Burt Hummel, Kurt's father, and Santana Lopez, who had just walked in. Suddenly, Santana yelled, "Puck, what's wrong with you? You could have killed Blaine!"
Noah picks up Tracy and removes her nightgown, revealing the scars on Tracy's back, which shocks Burt and Santana. Then he yells at Burt, "Blaine did this to Tracy for wetting the bed, Mr. H! He used a goddamn whip on her! A whip, Mr. H! I found Kurt and her walking down the road in their night clothes! Kurt tried to call me four hours ago, and it took me that long to find them. Tell me, what would you have done in that situation?"
Tracy said, "Poopy Bland hit me forever, G Pa Burt!"
She continued, "He never hit Daddy, just me. I was the one who called Nono because he was closer than you and stronger than Poopy Bland! Poopy Bland had Daddy Kurt take my clothes off before Poopy Bland spanked me with belts, paddles, whips, and switches. His way of potty training me was to rub my nose in my poop or make me drink big glasses of water until I peed myself! He wouldn't let me get up in the middle of the night and put my doorknob on backward so he could lock me in my room at night." Then she buried her face in Noah's chest and cried.
Soon they heard Blaine say, "She's lying!" But before he could say anything else, Noah punched him in the face and took Tracy into his arms.
He yelled, "She called me three hundred goddamn times in the past fucking year! I thought Kurt was calling me by mistake! Three hundred times, Blaine! Did you know she told me last week she'd been in a fight club for two months?" When Blaine left, Noah stormed off to his bedroom.
Blaine got arrested an hour later after Burt took Kurt and Tracy to the police station. When they returned to Noah's, they heard him yelling at Carole, "The night Dad left, he beat Sarah almost to death for peeing in her bed! I wasn't there to save her because I was at your house trying to avoid the fights that they would have! I know Sarah is okay, Mrs. H., but I promised myself. I would never be like that. That's one reason I gave away Beth, Mrs. H! God! I dumped Quinn because I was afraid to be a dad! It wasn't just because we weren't ready to be a couple! I love her, goddamn it!"
Noah looked over at Tracy. Then he took a deep breath before saying to Kurt, "I picked on you because I thought you were weak, but I was wrong. You are strong, and you raised Tracy to be strong."
He then looked at Burt and said, "I felt like I owed it to Finn to be the brother he couldn't be, and besides, everybody has been comparing me to you for a while." Then, Noah led them to a gun closet.
When Noah opens the door, Kurt hits Burt and says, "Tracy has wanted to be Puck's daughter for a while now. I mean, jeez, Dad, I hope for Quinn's sake that she has a son because I don't want her complaining about how bad Puck is with their daughter!"
Noah and Burt chuckle before Noah whispers to Burt, "I'm so glad you are with Mrs. H and not my mom."
Elbowing Noah, he whispers, "Me too, Puck, me too. I hope you have a daughter now." Then Quinn clears her throat before they see her, along with Carole, glaring at them with crossed arms.
Then Tracy asked Kurt, "Dad, what was it you always told Grandpa Burt?"
Noah says, with a chuckle, to Quinn, "Stop worrying, babe. If you keep worrying, you'll give yourself a heart attack." Everyone laughs at his joke. Soon, Noah and Tracy yawn and take a nap in a guest room.
Then Burt saw Quinn looking worried. He asked if he could talk to her alone. As soon as they were alone, Quinn said, "Puck has PTSD and refuses to tell General Young about it. Mr. H., I'm afraid it will only get worse and..."
Then they heard Tracy humming "Keep Holding On" by Avril Lavigne. Soon Noah began to moan like he was barking, and Tracy said, "Nono, you're home and safe. Hush, I got you." She continued to hum until she eventually fell asleep.
Soon, the others checked on them and found them fast asleep. Then Quinn said, "It would take me at least half an hour or more to calm Puck down and get him to sleep. How the heck did she not freak out?"
Kurt said, "Quinn, you didn't see the Hulk doll in her hand when she arrived, did you?" Quinn looked at the doll closer and noticed it had a Mohawk, which made her chuckle.
When Noah woke up, he watched Tracy sleep. Then Burt said, "I was the one who made that doll at Build-A-Bear after I found a picture of you from Halloween last year and a picture of you that Santana had to have taken. Don't worry, your back was to the camera, and I only saw your butt. She colored both pictures green and wrote 'Uncle Hulk' on the naked one."
Noah got up, walked into the living room holding Tracy, and said, "When Sarah was little, I would find her under my bed asleep a lot. Or there would be a note on my bed from my mom telling me she was either at a friend's house, my Nana Connie's house, or with Mrs. H. The night Dad left, he was alone with Sarah. Sarah won't tell anyone what happened on that day. I found her in my bed with countless bruises all over her body. Dad was passed out on the couch with a belt in his hand. Sarah couldn't even look at Jake without crying after that and had nightmares until last year."
He looked at Tracy and said, "Why didn't you ever ask me how I got hurt when you and Mrs. H started dating? You had to know something was going on. It took me a while to figure out that Tracy was trying to get my help, but you are her grandpa! Kurt may have hidden the crap he's been through, but Tracy has been asking for help for a year! I regret every day that I couldn't save Sarah, and there is no way I will let Tracy down, Mr. H!"
Burt clears his throat and says, "Puck, I tried to ask Carole or Finn about that, but they wouldn't tell me anything. Quinn told me a few things when she was pregnant with Beth; then we found out you were the father, and I completely forgot about it."
Noah sighed and said, "I bullied Kurt because I was too weak to protect my mom and Sarah, Mr. H. My dad was a loser, and I almost repeated his mistakes. You were like a father to me. I know Finn felt the same way. Mr. H., if it weren't for you or Mr. Shue, I might be dead right now. I quit the Air Force. I have an interview with Mick next week."
Noah cradled Tracy as he said, "The calls started on the anniversary of Finn's death. I was getting ready to go overseas at the time. Quinn told me after I returned about Tracy calling my phone. I thought Kurt would eventually tell you about Blaine. Mr. H., I know I am about to have a baby, but I love Tracy."
Noah held Tracy close and said, "This is the first time I've been able to nap or sleep without Quinn forcing me to take my PTSD medication. I haven't slept more than half an hour since I got home, Mr. H. I don't know how Tracy does it, but she keeps me calm."
Kurt enters, shows Noah a video of Nanny Cam footage on his phone, and says, "We wondered the same thing, Puck. She said a kid at daycare had nightmares at nap time, but I just learned that none of the kids have nightmares. She has only done that with you. Now, I hope you have a son because I know she has a crush on you." Noah laughs as he hears Quinn yelling about him.
Noah joked, "Will you stop worrying, Quinn? If you keep worrying, you'll have a heart attack!" Both he and Kurt chuckled and fist-bumped each other.
Carole nudged them as she entered and said to Noah, "Tracy only called you and Quinn; her aunt and uncle. Rachel will be here in a couple of days." Noah soon took Tracy into the living room. The others watched in awe as Noah rocked Tracy to sleep.
Noah sighed and said, "After I wrote my number on her cast, I thought Kurt had called me accidentally, so I listened to my voicemail. I got a lot of missed calls, then six months later, in the first voicemail. I heard Tracy begging Blaine to stop spanking her. The next call had Blaine yelling at her for wetting the bed before she screamed bloody murder. I couldn't listen to the rest and stopped turning off my phone at night a month ago. Quinn kept telling me to call the cops, but I knew they wouldn't help. When I went to get them the other night, I couldn't sleep. Then around midnight, I texted Kurt the word 'run.' It took me four hours to find them, and I can't believe Tracy isn't having nightmares about the crap she went through."
He handed Tracy to Carole and took Kurt to a guest room. Removing his shirt, he showed him the whip marks on his back. Whispering, he said, "I was raped and whipped for six months by an Iraqi soldier. I have nightmares about the rape every night. But last night was the best night of sleep I've had in a long time."
He turns to face Kurt and says, "Tracy's just a baby, Kurt. You still love Blaine, but you wanted Tracy ever since Quinn got pregnant with Beth. You even chose Quinn to be the surrogate, remember?"
Noah sees Burt peeking in and says, "Blaine isn't the same guy you fell in love with, Kurt. Can't you see that?"
Kurt shakes his head and says, "If Finn were here, he'd say the same thing."
Noah continued. "Do you want your dad to visit your grave, Kurt?"
Kurt looked away as Noah said, "I know Blaine didn't hurt you, but I remember when my dad didn't hurt me. I also remember Quinn helping you hide the bruises from your dad. Sarah and I were the result of rape. My dad never loved my mom. I used to think my dad was my idol. I joined Glee to feel closer to him. Seeing how your dad was with you opened my eyes. He is the reason I married Quinn. I didn't want to be a loser like my dad." Kurt sighed and walked out without looking back.
Burt and Noah armed themselves with rifles and got into Noah's truck before heading to Blaine's house. Soon, they saw Blaine's car heading toward Noah's house. When they returned, Quinn stood outside with a paintball gun, shooting at Blaine's car while yelling, "Tracy could have been my daughter, Blaine! Beth is Rachel's sister and Tracy's aunt! My daughter is your daughter's aunt! You are never getting her back!" They watched as Blaine left, and then they saw Kurt in the passenger seat of Blaine's car.
As they head inside, they see Carole holding Tracy, who is crying. Noah storms out and heads back to Blaine's. He storms in and punches Blaine in the face. He soon notices Kurt lying naked on the floor, with blood coming from his butt. He puts his shirt on Kurt and helps him into his truck. He tries to find his clothes, but he can't. So, he leaves.
He took Kurt to the hospital and texted Burt about the rape. Kurt refused to report it, no matter what Burt or Noah said to convince him otherwise. He still wouldn't let them send Blaine to jail. Soon after, he returned to Blaine, leaving Tracy behind with Noah and Quinn.
After Kurt ends up in a coma, Rachel finally arrives at the hospital and asks to see Noah. Before she can say a word, Noah yells, "What the hell took you so long to get here? Do you know how long I tried to save Kurt from Blaine, Rachel?"
He points to Kurt and continues, "That is your best friend in that bed! We couldn't save Finn from himself! I wasn't about to let Kurt die at the hands of Blaine! You heard about the crap my mom went through with my dad! Why would you stand by and let Kurt make the same goddamn mistake?"
Rachel gets in Noah's face and yells back. "I tried, Puck! Kurt wouldn't leave! Blaine threatened to kill Beth if I brought her here! I didn't even want to bring her here today! I came here because I didn't want Tracy to have the same childhood you did! She told me about being in a fight club like her uncle Hulk for a year! It wasn't hard to figure out that she was talking about you! My question is: Why isn't Blaine in a hospital bed, Puck?" Then she looks over at Kurt and breaks down as Noah holds her.
