The woman had her arrow aimed at Trafalgar's back, a perfect shot despite the battlefield being so crowded with marines and pirates alike. Taking a deep, steadying breath, she pulled the bowstring taught as Law fought for his, and his half-dead ally, Mugiwara's life, and prepared to let the arrow fly.
This... I really don't want to do this. She determinedly shook her head and corrected her posture. But I must do as I am told. It is for the best... Though, I promise I will watch over you two more efficiently this time to make sure that nothing will ever go wrong again; for both of you are the world's only chance at a better future.
A tear slid down her pale cheek as she let go of the string on her bow, and the arrow flew into action, piercing her target's heart and killing him instantly. The marines were left confused, the pirates angered to the brink of tears and yelling, especially a fluffy white polar bear mink. And Mugiwara, unbeknownst to the others at the time, had died.
She covered her sobs with her hand, and fled from the edge of the foliage on this forsaken island, hoping that this would all work and that her mother's demands would be beneficial and not a burden. That arrow was a special little thing, gifted to her by her late father. What she knew of its powers were only vague explanations, but that sliver of knowledge was all that Mother needed to command her to use it or else in this dire situation.
It could send its victim, and the victim's most important person, back in time. It could only be used once, so she had to choose which one of them to use it on. She had chosen Law, believing that this was the right choice.
When her legs couldn't keep up anymore, and she had completely lost her breath, she stopped, resting her small hands on her knees. Suddenly, a smile appeared on her face as she could hear two young voices already in a different timeline, the ones she'd hoped for.
"This..." Rain had drenched her hair and her clothes, mixing with her sweat and blood as it dripped down her face. "Is not the end, Magmus. All that you have done, is going to be undone. So, in short, fuck you."
She laughed, then collapsed, never to be seen again.
A/N: Wow, was that too eerie for a prologue? I hope not. Who is this woman and who is Magmus, I wonder?
I'm really excited to write this and I hope you guys enjoy it. As I continue to post more chapters, please keep reading! Thank you so much for your support!
