Adam stood a train-car away, hand outstretched. His mouth parted, but not a single noise came out.

"Goodbye."

And Blake severed the train car, watching as Adam slowly got smaller and smaller. Until she couldn't see him anymore, his hand never fell down.

Blake didn't really keep track of time for the first bit, just moving around and going with the motions. Nobody was following her, or at the very least nobody had found her yet.

Until…

A scarred fox mask stared down at her from a low tree branch, she stared up at it.

The man was roughly her height, wearing green and yellow Mistrilian clothing and a white haori. One of his legs dangled from the tree swinging back and forth lazily while his arms rested on the other. For a while they just… stared at each other, neither making a move to start a conversation or do anything. After a few minutes however, he broke the contest; falling from the tree and landing in a crouch. She was somewhat impressed; he barely made a noise and she had better hearing than most.

Then he stood and started walking away, and that was that… or at least, she thought so… After hitting the tree line the fox mask met her gaze again. A moment later he brought up his hand in a 'follow me' motion. He didn't wait again, already walking away.

She had no reason to trust him. Right now she couldn't trust anybody, only herself. But despite all of that her legs were moving, and soon enough she was behind the mess of pink hair. Idly she noticed that the sun had passed from midday towards the horizon. When the day turned to evening she heard it. The sound of wood being split.

Her eyes focused again. They were in another clearing with a small cabin. She stopped, her… 'guide' kept walking. Another log was split, and she saw another person. This one was older with graying hair, wearing a cloudy blue kimono and a mask that she couldn't see yet. Her guide stopped and the new man turned to face him. They held each other's gaze before the man turned his gaze on her. A frowning red mask bored into her.

"My name is Sakonji Urokodaki, and this is Sabito."

Blake found herself kneeling inside of the cozy cabin, all three of them were around the small fire spit in the middle of the room. It was funny in a way, all three of them were hiding behind something. Both of them hid their faces, and she hid her ears. Though it was most likely for very different reasons, she still found it somewhat amusing.

"Blake Belladonna," she responded softly, bowing her head for a few seconds. "Thank you for inviting me into your home." She added as an afterthought.

The Fox didn't move, content to stare, but the older man stiffened for a moment. "Belladonna… You wouldn't happen to be the daughter of Ghira and Kali Belladonna would you?" She froze, and that was answer enough. "Hm… What is the daughter of the White Fang's founder doing so far out in the middle of nowhere?" Urokodaki asked, genuinely curious.

It was subtle, but Sabito shifted his hand so it was closer to the katana on his hip. Nobody made a move to attack her, but the tension in the room definitely rose. Urokodaki grunted, but other than looking down slightly he didn't make a move to do anything either.

"Sabito, member of that organization or not, she is still our guest." The man's words hung in the air for a moment before Sabito's hand drifted away from his katana. The tension fell slightly, but it didn't disappear. The red mask fell on her again. "You won't come to harm here, you have my word. There's no need to defend yourself." Blake blinked before clenching her hand. Only, it didn't close, looking down she saw that her hand was gripping the handle of Gambol Shroud.

Slowly her hand moved away from her weapon. "I'm sorry," she breathed out. "It's been a long few days…" And wasn't that the truth. She had been wandering the wilderness to throw anyone off of her trail, barely resting for more than a few hours. This was the first time she'd had a real roof over her head in months.

"As I've said. You are our guest. We only have two rooms–"

"She can have mine," Sabito spoke up for the first time, gaze moving between the two of them.

"Hm." Urokodaki grunted, nodding. "It's settled then. If you have anything, feel free to move it to the room on the right."

Blake blinked, opening her mouth, but nothing came out. Was she really going to refuse an offer like that? Pass on a room for the night in a warm house? It just felt suspicious… The older man, Urokodaki, knew who she was. Which meant that he probably knew what she'd spend the past years doing. Yet he was offering her a safe place to stay? Her mouth closed and she sighed… She'd take the offer for the night and leave in the morning before they could do anything.

She took her small bag into the room they pointed out. Her first impression was that it was… spartan. There was a single futon in the center of the room and two dressers. There weren't any decorations that she could see. Sliding the door closed she just… sat down and… sat. It had been so long since she had been able to do that.

"I don't like it…" She heard Sabito say. Sitting up a little straighter she strained her hearing.

"Then why did you bring her here?" Urokodaki asked in return.

"I didn't know she was with the White Fang at the time!" Sabito hissed, clearly trying to be somewhat quiet.

"I don't think that she is… at least not anymore."

"How can you know that for sure?"

"Her scent, it isn't the scent of a terrorist." Blake furrowed her brow at that response. "When you look at her what do you see?"

"… She's exhausted." Sabito eventually said.

"Hm. Her scent is a mixture of fear, anxiety, and exhaustion. I'd say that her former allies aren't as friendly as they were previously."

"Are you going to contact her parents then? If she's on the run from the White Fang and who knows what else, then they won't have any idea about what's happened." Blake's heart-rate spiked. She hadn't even thought of calling her parents… Did she even want to? What would they even think of her? All the things she had done the past few months, let alone the past few years!

"I'll ask her tomorrow. For now it's best to let her rest. Like you said, she's exhausted." The conversation petered out after that and Blake decided that she'd done enough eavesdropping. She didn't really remember anything else about that night, other than she was out before her head even hit the pillow.

"I've been meaning to ask you about something… I was going to after my Hunter's Exam but I got busy pretty quickly." Sabito said as he poked the embers that hadn't burnt themselves out yet.

"Oh? And what did you want to ask me?" Urokodaki responded, polishing one of his katanas.

"Do you…" He hesitated, recalling what had happened.

Sabito had turned and was walking to the airship that was docked at Beacon when Velvet suddenly called out.

"By the way, say hi to your sister for me!" Sabito froze where he stood, turning his head.

"How do you know I have a sister?" He asked neutrally.

"She kinda just appeared out of nowhere. She was the one that told us to come and save your ass," Coco said, crossing her arms. "Everything happened so fast I almost forgot about that."

"I thought that it might've been her Semblance, teleporting or something."

Now Sabito was somewhat confused. "What did she look like?"

"Short, maybe ten? Eleven? Black hair, pink and blue shirt. Blueish green eyes, kinda looked like they were staring at nothing?"

"Coco!"

"What? You're telling me that you weren't at all creeped out? Even a little bit?

Now the fox masked boy was incredibly confused. He had a sister, but the girl they described sounded nothing like Yang. The age alone was a dead giveaway. But it did describe the girl who told him to wake up. Regardless… "Thanks for the heads up, I'll tell her you said hi."

"Do you have a daughter?" Sabito eventually asked. Urokodaki stopped polishing his katana, frozen. "Or is there someone like me? Somebody that you took in?"

The air between them was silent before Urokodaki eventually spoke, "her name was Makomo." Was implied something that made his heart sink.

"I see," he simply said. "I got knocked out, and a girl with cyan eyes and black hair woke me up. Later my… friends told me that they encountered the same girl, who told them about my fight. She called me her brother… You don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to, I was just curious."

"There's nothing wrong with being curious. I am not angry, but tonight is not the night that I'll tell you about her." Sabito gave a small bow before moving to walk outside. If his room was occupied then he'd sleep on his small spot on the roof. He just hoped that it didn't rain. "She would've loved to have you as her brother." His adoptive father said before he left. Sabito turned, and after a moment he gave a small, almost imperceptible nod.

Blake stared blankly at a boulder that had been cut clean in half. She had woken up about two hours ago and ate a light breakfast with Urokodaki. When she asked where Sabito was, the older man just responded with "around." She found the old warrior pleasant to talk to; he didn't judge her based on her past and was always curious about the reasoning behind her thought processes. More than that though the man was just kind. He asked her what her plan going forward was, which was an excellent question as Blake didn't honestly know herself. Her answer was that she decided to become a Huntress. She knew how to fight and she wasn't stupid so one major hurdle was already out of the way. He told her that becoming a Huntress was an admirable goal, and that if her reasoning was atonement it showed that she was a good person. He also told her that she was young, and that lying down her blade and finding something she genuinely wanted to do was also a good option. She couldn't do that though… She just… couldn't leave things the way they were… But she was also just one person…

So here she was, just deliberating. She was a former member of the White Fang, and the former in that title was probably an immediate disqualification for joining any Huntsman Academies. More than anything… Becoming a Huntress was just something to do, and she already had the skills required. It was the path of least resistance, her reasons weren't noble like Urokodaki thought. So should she really do it? It was all just—

Blake vanished as a wooden bokken sliced where her neck would've been, a Shadow Clone taking the hit for her before vanishing. Before she even had time to think about what was happening she was already narrowly dodging an upwards swing. She grabbed Gambol Shroud on reflex and so began a dance of strikes, parries, and dodges that left Blake entirely on the backfoot. Her attacker jumped and swung down at her, but when Blake blocked he gave her a sharp kick to the head before flipping away. Blake slid back into her fighting stance before widening her eyes in confusion. The person attacking her was Sabito! Her stance relaxed.

"What the hell are you doing?!" She yelled, confusion sharing room with growing frustration. Had he gone crazy?! Didn't they tell her that nobody would attack her here?!

"Trying to figure out what you're doing." Was the boy's dry response, making Blake grit her teeth. "You told Urokodaki that you want to be a Huntress, but here you are sullen and moping about it."

She narrowed her eyes, frustration mounting. "I just walked away from everything that I knew and cared about, don't you think that gives me the right to 'mope' a little?"

"That was what you were doing last night, this was a sense of hopelessness. A Huntress? Bullshit… Take up a fighting stance." He said, the fox mask's eyes boring into her.

She hesitated, looking him over. All he had was a wooden training sword. This… "That's not a good idea, I'm armed and all you have is a wooden bokken." Sabito seemed to flinch for a moment before his shoulders began shaking. It took a second, but her enhanced hearing let her hear that he was… laughing?

"I'm touched, really I am." The boy all but vanished and Blake was forced to block a brutal overhead strike that had her arms shaking. "But if you want to be a Huntress you should know never to underestimate your opponent!" The brutal dance began anew, and Sabito held nothing back. Fighting him was like fighting a raging river, no matter what she did he would either parry it or switch to another attack. Even her Shadow Clones barely helped! Using them managed to catch him off guard a couple of times but each time she used one he got better at predicting where she would appear again.

"More! Faster! Fight like your life depends on it!" She batted away one of his swings before using Gambol Shroud's ribbon to pull herself away by latching onto a tree. "You're still holding back!" Sabito angrily called out.

"I get it!" The dam holding her together broke. "I'm only one person! I can't atone for what they've become! The White Fang in its current state's done more damage to Faunus Rights than the Great War did! All the things I've done? How could I ever deserve a second chance!? With my history becoming a Huntress probably isn't even possible to begin with!" She ended, screaming. In all her venting she didn't notice Sabito approaching her. She probably would've kept going but…

SLAP!

Blake's thoughts came to a screeching halt, and slowly she brought her hand up to her stinging cheek. "Don't give me that self-pitying bullshit… You want to talk about fucked up pasts? I was part of the Branwen Tribe. Hell! I was born into it!" The boy shouted, and Blake's feline eyes widened at the information. "I've killed eleven people. People that were just trying to defend their homes. And despite all of that, all of the raids, I became a Hunter!" Sabito jabbed a thumb into his chest. He held his sword in a two-handed grip at the waist before striking again. Blake threw up a hasty block as she fell into a flow. Everything was… clearer somehow. "Urokodaki took me in! Trained me, refined me! He gave me a chance to be something more!"

For the first time in the fight Blake threw an attack that Sabito was forced to block rather than avoid or deflect. "I just… I can't!" She yelled, pushing her newfound momentum.

"You can!" The boy twisted and threw a diagonal slash that went through another clone. "You're at your lowest point, so the only way to go now is forward!" Sabito ducked and threw out a horizontal swing, catching Gambol Shroud. "You want to be a Huntress? Show me what you're capable of!" Their movements became a blur of motion, so fast that even Blake was having a hard time keeping up with it. Half of her attacks and defenses were just pure instinct and muscle memory at this point. But both of them noticed that she had finally stopped holding back. There was fire behind her eyes now. After separating Sabito brought his battered wooden katana into a perpendicular stance, lunging forward in a thrust at Blake's midsection. Blake threw a downwards swing, missing my scant millimeters as Sabito made a last minute twist, swinging his sword in a wide arc and bringing it up, catching Blake's chin and snapping her head back. And then the Shadow Clone disappeared and the boy's eyes widened as he felt a slice of air.

Sabito's mask went slack and fell off of his face, the band holding it in place neatly cut in two. He watched the mask fall in shock before a slender hand caught it halfway towards the ground. Looking up he saw Blake inspecting the mask, breathing heavily. For the first time amber yellow met cool lavender. Sabito let out a huff and a small smile found its way to his face, mirrored by Blake's own.

"Nice to meet you, Sabito Urokodaki." She said, handing him his mask back.

He took it with a small laugh, "likewise, Blake Belladonna."

"Explain yourself!"

Blake watched in silent amusement as Sabito stood ramrod straight, a bead of sweat falling down his forehead. Across from him stood Urokodaki, arms crossed and absolutely furious. Both of them had walked back to the small house, making Smalltalk as they did. But as they drew near they both found Urokodaki waiting for them, standing in a very similar pose to the one he was standing in now.

"We… had a chat, about her wanting to become a Huntress…" The boy tried.

"A chat?" the older man parroted, making the boy flinch. "With a bokken that I found missing?" Sabito went pale.

As amusing as it was watching the boy try to defend himself, Blake decided to come to his aid. "He said some things that I needed to hear, helped me get out of my funk." She didn't have to look at him to know that he was shooting her a grateful look.

"Hm. Regardless, what you did was absolutely shameful! Attacking her after we promised her safety?" Urokodaki threw Sabito his sword, which the boy caught expertly, if confused. "Up the mountain! Run the course from the highest point!" If Sabito was pale before, now he was ashen.

"Mountain?" She asked, confused.

Blake didn't see Sabito until late that night, and when she did see him he was covered head to toe in dirt and bruises. He didn't even bother changing, he just slid down the wall and fell asleep. Well… If he was so comfortable then Blake couldn't find it in her to move him to the bed he was so graciously loaning her.

About two weeks later, Sabito left for a mission.

"You're leaving?" Blake asked as her and Urokodaki ate a light breakfast. Sabito had been packing for the better part of half an hour and he was doing his final checks. He inspected his blue-hued katana before giving it a satisfying nod and slipping its sheath through his belt.

"I'm a Hunter. I can access missions through boards the same as a Huntsman, but I can also be specifically requested for certain jobs. Just last night I received such a request. From Ozpin himself." Blake's eyes widened and even Urokodaki showed more interest than usual. "It's pretty secret and I'm not exactly allowed to share much, but I was able to ask for a specific payment." The fox mask turned to face Blake. "As long as you can get Urokodaki's approval, you'll be cleared to apply for Beacon academy despite your history with the White Fang. He's a Cultivator, and he's also a former faculty member so his voice holds some sway. As a licensed Hunter I've also given you my recommendation though I'm not sure how much that's worth."

"Though I haven't known her for long I can attest to the content of her character, and from what I understand you two have been sparring on and off these past two weeks. As long as I'm not disappointed, she has my approval." Sabito nodded at his adoptive father, both of them leaving Blake in a state of shock. Even having gotten to know them the past two weeks, this was still more than a small favor!

"Why?" She asked.

Sabito stared at her for a couple of seconds. "Worse people than you have been given second chances… You have my number, if you need anything, though I can't promise much." The boy gave the two of them a small bow, which was more than most would normally get as a goodbye, and he was out the door.

"Hm. Let's not waste any time then, follow me." Without a warning Urokodaki stood up and left the house, leaving Blake scrambling to follow.

"Wha– Where are we going?"

"Up the mountain." Was his simple reply. As simple as it was though, it left a feeling of dread in the Faunus' stomach.

Sabito sprinted through the forest as fast as he was able, twisting around trees and jumping over fallen logs or rocks. His mission was an odd one, but it was from Ozpin himself so that didn't surprise him as much as it would've. Sabito's goal was to link up with and protect a VIP with the codename "Autumn" who was traveling on the outskirts of Vale. He was given an approximate location, but the longer he took the larger his search area got. According to the information he was sent there had been confirmed reports of a group of three tracking her across the kingdom. They needed extra security until the VIP arrived in a well-populated village or until Ozpin was able to make direct contact with her. All along his search area was a well-known traveling road so he would start there. If she wasn't on the road he would try the forests or isolated villages. It also wasn't guaranteed, but there was also a high probability that he would be meeting with the legendary Huntsman Qrow Branwen… His Uncle…

He would burn that bridge when he got there, right now there was something more pressing. As he had been traversing the forest he ran into a campsite, a very recent one. Three pairs of footprints were heading towards the road, which alone would be a coincidence at best, but as he did a once over of the campsite the weather just… erupted. In the distance it was like a thunderstorm manifested over the course of a few seconds with multiple lightning strikes in an isolated area. Then there was the tornado, the sound of gunfire, and it had begun dying down. Now there was more gunfire and the telltale roars of Grimm. VIP or not he didn't have a second to lose, he had to investigate and help whoever was engaged in battle. The closer he got the louder the sounds of battle became until he erupted from the treeline.

He took in the scene before him. There were Beowolves everywhere, with Ursas scattered among their ranks. Their target and singular focus was a man dancing around the pack while holding a limp young woman in his arm. The man was wearing a gray dress shirt and black dress pants with a tattered red cloak over his shoulders. He had spiky black hair with flecks of gray and faded red eyes that were filled with concern and confidence in equal measure. In his hand was a massive longsword that looked like it could be segmented with gears at the hilt. Every time he swung, a Grimm turned to ash, and the small booms that filled the air told him that his blade held some kind of firearm. From observation alone Sabito was positive that the man could probably clear out this entire swarm by himself, but his ability was hampered by the woman in his arms. Luckily for him, Sabito had just arrived.

"Water Breathing, Third Form: Flowing Dance!"

In a smooth motion Sabito drew his blade and beheaded the nearest Beowulf before stringing together a series of twirls and slashes that severed heads and limbs wherever he went. In his wake was a flowing current drawn from the tip of his blade and a series of almost watery after-images. With one last twirl he brought his sword in a low guard, ignoring the ten or so Beowolves that collapsed behind him. He couldn't stop now though! He turned his sights on an Ursa Major that had turned to face the new threat.

Water Breathing, Fourth Form: Striking Tide!"

As the massive bear slammed its arms down Sabito spun out of the way before dashing and bringing his sword across the back of its knees. As it fell he leapt, slicing across its back and drawing his sword above his head as gravity began to pull him back down. As the Ursa looked up Sabito brought his sword down, beheading the monster and landing in a crouch. He heard a snarl to his left and saw a Beowulf lunging for him. He brought his sword to his side in preparation, taking a step forward.

"Water Breathing, First Fo–"

His left foot slipped on a loose stone as the man dashed by him. He steadied himself but he was caught flatfooted, the Beowulf was too close for that attack! Thinking fast Sabito performed a front flip, water gathering around the edge of his blade.

"Water Breathing, Second Form: Water Wheel!"

His blade came down as the Beowulf passed underneath. As he landed the monstrous wolf fell to the ground, cleanly separated into two halves. Internally Sabito berated himself as he continued to flow around the Grimm. Losing his footing like that in the middle of a battle?! He was better than that! His frustration took more heat off of his circumstantial ally. The tide of the battle had turned, but the Grimm didn't care that they were at a disadvantage. They continued to attack recklessly until their numbers dwindled and dwindled. Sabito brought his sword into an upward swing, cutting the arm off of a Beowulf before he twirled and beheaded it. The moment it fell past him he turned around, sword held in a high guard, but there was nothing but silence. All around him the Grimm evaporated into black mist and dust, so with the absence of a visible threat he brought his sword down.

He turned to find his ally looking at him with caution. "Are you Qrow Branwen?" He asked, eyes shooting to the young woman in his arms.

"Who's asking?" was the terse reply. Sabito had to squash down his uncomfortable feelings looking at the man. It was clear as day that he was Raven's brother. Hell, he saw a bit of what he saw in the mirror every day.

"Sabito Urokodaki, I'm a Hunter that was sent here by Ozpin. I'm assuming she's Autumn?" Seeing most of the cautious hostility vanish from Qrow's eyes, the fox-masked boy sheathed his katana before approaching the two.

"Yeah. Before you showed up she was being attacked by a group of three, they were… doing some kind of ritual with a strange Grimm." The man gave him a half-hearted glare. "Took ya long enough, by the way."

There was more to it than that, but Sabito didn't comment on it. "The area's not covered by CCTS right now, I had to track you down the old fashioned way." That was true as well, halfway through his search he lost all service… "Maybe it was planned that way; make sure she couldn't call for help." Qrow gave him a grim nod.

"There's a village not too far from here, we can hole up there, maybe get a doctor if we're lucky enough. If the CCTS is back up by then I'll call us a Bullhead."

"Good plan. I'll stick with you for now, then when we reach the village I'll patrol around, make sure we aren't being tailed."

The village was quaint, but pretty out of the way. It had a wall that would probably hold for a little bit under a continued attack and there was a doctor. Unluckily for them though they had to wait for a few hours before they could actually see him. Upon learning that the VIP was currently stable they sat in the small clinic with her. Qrow managed to contact Beacon Academy and there was a Bullhead on the way to extract them. Unfortunately for him though, that left him with Qrow and not much else to do. So naturally the older Huntsman decided to try and fill the time by talking. Qrow had taken the seat while Sabito leaned against a wall with his arms crossed.

"Sooo… A Hunter, huh?" Sabito sighed silently. This was the exact situation that he wanted to avoid. Did Qrow know that Raven was pregnant when she left? Or was he in the clear?

"Yeah." He responded.

"Not a common profession, some would call it obsolete." Qrow reached in his pocket and pulled out a flask. The scent of strong alcohol filled the air, making Sabito frown.

"More than some."

"So why not become a Huntsman? Get a team, and all that jazz?" After taking a swig Qrow looked him up and down before holding the flask out.

"I know you have my file, so you know I'm underage." Qrow just shrugged and waved the flask. "No, if I drink it's gonna be legal."

"Suit yourself, kid." He took another swig. "You didn't answer my question."

Sabito sighed again, audibly this time. "I don't have any formal schooling. A Cultivator adopted me, and I decided to follow in his footsteps." The boy shrugged.

"So by the mask and the glaringly obvious last name I assume that Old Cloudy took you in?"

"Old Cloudy?" Sabito deadpanned.

"Yeah, Urokodaki's nickname back when he taught at Beacon. The man was pretty old even back then but he was brutal. He always wore a cloudy coat so that's where his nicer nickname came from." Qrow let out an amused huff as he finished.

"He had more than one?" Sabito asked, genuinely curious. His adoptive father never really talked about his time at Beacon. Granted, he never asked, but this was a clearer look into the man he saw as his father.

Qrow smiled, "Oh yeah. The guy was a good teacher but his methods left a lotta kids in tears. I'm assuming you meet Glynda Goodwitch? She practically bases her whole personality on his. So just imagine her, but even more intense and unforgiving."

Sabito let out a genuine laugh. "Yikes." The air was silent between the two of them for a time. "I'm gonna go and patrol, make sure the three you told me about aren't still around. CCTS is back up so call me if you need something. I'll do the same if I run into trouble."

"Kay, see ya." Qrow waved lazily as Sabito left the room. As the door closed though the Veteran Huntsman narrowed his eyes. Sabito wasn't an enemy. Everything about him matched what his file told him. They tolerated each other and they even had some common ground for talking. Qrow wasn't suspicious about the boy's intentions. No, he was suspicious about something else. The way Sabito fought was refined to say the least. He was more skilled than some lower level Huntsmen and every attack he made had Urokodaki plastered all over it. But… He also fought with an unforgiving aggressiveness that was trapped just below the surface. Sabito was particularly aggressive when using Water Breathing when the form relied on being defensive. He was using it the right way, no doubt about it, but the man could see it in his attacks… It…

Sabito fought in the same way that Raven did…

That was a lot quicker than I expected it to be!

Also if you don't read my other stories, all of my current stories are now cross-posted on Archive of our Own/AO3. I did this for redundancy and so I can get my name out there some more. You can find me and my stories there under the same pen-name and the same categories!

I liked writing this chapter, although I do have a disclaimer if anyone is worried. The plot before the main events of RWBY is pretty spotty when it comes to an exact timeline. But I do know with a lot of certainty that The Black Trailer takes place six-ish months before the main story, and that Amber is attacked shortly after that. So if anybody is worried for any reason that we're skipping right to the main story, don't worry! I have some things planned out before we get there!

Also, the fight between Sabito and Blake should seem pretty familiar to anyone familiar with Demon Slayer. I couldn't help myself, that moment is one of my favorites to this day, especially in the Anime. It's also why Sabito's theme is my favorite, even with the amazing OST we get each season. Even if it might seem like it, I didn't rely too heavily on the canon fight itself, and I feel like I adapted it well to fit what I wanted to do.

Also we get to meet Qrow! Coincidentally my favorite character in the entirety of RWBY! How long will Sabito be able to keep his cover with Qrow already getting somewhat suspicious of him? And who else are we going to meet? Find out soon!

Next Story in the Rotation: Mariana, the Abyssal Hero!

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you all soon!~
